West LA’s Khong Ten Is an Colorful Modern Vietnamese Hideaway | Eater LA

"I learned that the former Bardonna location in Brentwood is set to become Neck of the Woods under owner Joshua Pourgol; the space will feature pastel colors, vibrant plants, and neon signage with a distinct Alfred feel, and the menu winds from coffee and teas to smoothies, grain bowls, all-day brunch, and pastries." - Farley Elliott

Neck of the Woods Brewing is located inside the Total Turf complex. A bit of a hidden gem. They offer a bunch of beers and seltzer on tap as well as packaged canns for sale to go. Tried three different beers while there. The Escape, Blackberry, and Irish potato sours that I tried were really really good. Three drinks came out to 27$ plus tip which is very reasonable for a brewery. They offer food as well but I didn't order any. If you like small breweries with lots of different brews to try I would definitely stop in.

Not as great of an experience as we had our first time - and not sure we would return. When you return flights with beers still 1/2 full and a seltzer with a few sips out of it you would imagine that that at least 1 of the 2 employees would ask if it was OK - or at least extend to offer you something else. Customer Service to me is always a top notch thing and they just did not provide it on our last visit.

Great selection of beers, lots of sour options if you are a fan! Each sour we tasted was unique in its own ways. Also very friendly staff, we got to know that they host an annual sour fest. Will definitely come back and try more rotating beers

Google
Nestled behind the sports complex but what a hidden gem. Loved a few of the items on the list but the strawberry vanilla IPA was awesome! Hope they keep this one around. Place is also a great hang out, tables both inside and out. Shandy and Fun sour combined was also a great hit for us! I live far but wanna come back already.

Google
I had a great time. The beers were good, a nice variety to cater to different taste preferences. You can’t beat the price for a flight and serving size. The staff is nice and knowledgeable. There is a food place in the same building who will deliver food to the brewery/table. It was crowded when I went, but I didn’t wait long for service. It has a nice comfy feel to the place, more like a nice size tasting room as suppose to a chain brewery. I’d go back and definitely recommend a pop in.

Out in the area again, so we stopped in. There is a wide variety of brews here. Today went with their Oktoberfest, which packed a little more punch than most, but after the long day I had, I was happy to drink up! Prost! 🍻 Didn't get to spend enough time here, but what I saw, I liked! Nice atmosphere, cool distressed wood wall and doorway framing. Bartender was friendly and helpful, guided me to a Jaws Jawn on the side tap which gives extra head and honestly who doesn't like extra head! (keeping it clean for our viewers! 😉) It's a really smooth pilsner, will definitely be drinking this again! Went with friends who've been here before, if I hadn't, not sure I would've found it. It's around back of Total Turf, there's a couple of picnic tables outside for enjoying the nice weather

Google
Neck of the Woods is the definition of craft beer excellence. Their stouts, sours, and lagers are wonderfully brewed, and all of the flavors are exactly as advertised. Our favorites were the Malibu Bay Breeze sour and Spicy Mochaccino stout! But you really won't go wrong with any of these taps.

Google
We were passing through and found this nice little brewery buried at the back of a sports complex. A bit busy for a Saturday afternoon when we arrived. Enjoyed the IPAs we had. Decorated to theme. If this were in my neck of the woods, it might very well be a place I come often.

Yelp
I always love going here. There's always something new to try and of course they have Stay in the car Frank! IPA I have a good time every time I come in.

Yelp
I've seen their beers at my local liquor store but yesterday was my first time visiting the brewery. It's a gorgeous small space in the back of a massive indoor sports complex. Came here on a Saturday afternoon with my girlfriend and the place was absolutely mobbed. Packed to the rafters. Somehow we got two seats at the bar and were immediately greeted by one of the bartenders who asked us if it was our first time there and thanked us for coming in. I thought this was great customer service - despite how hectic it was behind the bar, he still made the effort to have a positive interaction with us before taking our order. 20 beers and five seltzers on tap! Two beers on nitro and one side pull lager. What an offering! We went with two flights. I got the Champagne Sournova, the Hawaiian Noises, the Chocolate Strawberry Swampdog, and the Straight Outta Belgium. I'm someone that always appreciates variety in a beer list. As much as I like IPA's, it's no fun going to a place where they make up 3/4 of the menu. So the variety at Neck of the Woods is quite impressive. But all that variety is worth nothing if the beer isn't good. I'm happy to say the beers I had were perfect. Big and bold and and truly worth savoring every drop. On a random note, this brewery also had the cleanest bathrooms I've ever seen at any bar/restaurant/brewery I've ever been to. We live a half hour away but will definitely be back and recommend to other beer lovers!

Yelp
i'm normally not a beer person but my family and i came recently for my father's birthday and it was a pretty chill environment. there were families in there watching the phillies game and someone even brought their dog in. from what i understand neck of the woods is known for their sours, i wasn't a big fan of the first one i tried but the spicy raspberry ginger was fantastic. it tasted similar to a ginger beer it's probably my favorite beer i've ever tried. the bar tender was very nice, he'd come over talk a bit and check on us but it was a really laid back no pressure environment. i normally hate bars but it was cool there, bathroom was clean too.

Yelp
Neck of the Woods is one of the "newer" breweries in South Jersey, in that it opened after I moved away from the area. I've since visited twice -- once in September and again last Sunday. Both times I've sat at the bar and ordered flights. The first time I also ordered a crowler of one of their milkshake IPAs, and it held up really well for the few weeks it was in my fridge before I cracked it open with local friends at home in Virginia. They seem to specialize in milkshake IPAs and fruited sours. I enjoy both styles, but prefer sours over all else, so I'm happy to see their presence on the menu isn't overtaken by IPAs or stouts. They seem to have a well-rounded modern menu (at least they do each time I check). Their black-blue-raspberry sour is extra tasty. I'd definitely recommend that one if you see it available. Service has been kind and prompt, and the interior is pretty cute. I like the barn facade on the back wall. Keep in mind, this is located in the back of the turf building. Drive around to the right of the building and then go all the way back to the left to find the entrance. It's pretty well hidden.

Yelp
Great brewery with a nice rotating selection. Located right behind Total Turf which is great. They have an eatery in the building that serves bar food and they come by with menus if you are interested. You can also bring your own food. They have trivia night on Thursday and the place fills up. Kid friendly as well. They also have outside seating/tables.

Yelp
Neck of the Woods Brewing, as one of the newest breweries in NJ, joins the hub of NJ breweries in the Pitman/Glassboro area. They are inside an industrial building, but they have a very clean, cheerful, welcoming feel. We went on a Wednesday because they are one of the few breweries that have those hours in the region. Their flight has four ounces per taster, so it is slightly more voluminous than the standard size flight, but it seemed right nonetheless. The beer I enjoyed the best was the porter, which the guy sitting next to me actually recommended, too. The beers generally have a robust, rich flavor to them. I can't honestly say that the beers are at their peak of maturity; some of the recipes will have to be tweaked as they go. Neck of the Woods definitely has the friendly atmosphere going, and it's a great place for a guy to hang after work or on the weekends. Try them out if you're in town to visit all the other breweries nearby.

Yelp
Went here with some friends nice place good beers for good prices brought our own games only thing I didn't understand and like was we bought a 6 pack of their cotton Candy beer because we heard it was amazing main reason we came but we couldn't get it on tap so we said no problem we got a six pack but then they bitched at us saying we can't open it here and if we do again we will get kicked out. Ummm why? We paid for several flights and drafts and a damn 6 pack but now we can't open it and drink here???? Little ridiculous.

Brian M.

Yelp
Great beers! Hazy's and sours are on-point. The setup is. Ice as well. There is a grill within the same building that will deliver your food there.

Yelp
Came here for the fiRst time and it's attached to Total Turf on Lambs road in Pittman, NJ. New place that has a god selection of different craft beers. Good place for kids, has WiFi and best of all you can order food in the Total Turf section and they deliver to the brewery. Park around the back for easy access. People are very nice and good clean atmosphere. I recommend to anyone who's want to try a new craft beer location.

Yelp
Hey, there, Yelp. Been awhile. Tipsy review time! If you know me (and you should; I'm pretty damn awesome ;). ), you know I don't give out five stars easy. But here we are. FIVE STARS. These NKOTB are coming out of the gate hot. And my money is on them. Shake ya money maker. Tried a bunch of everything. Everything. I'm an IPA girl (which you may have surmised, but only if you're following me. Uhh. Hey.) and I got brave and worked my way through two flights with the mister anyway. Giiiirlll, g'head. There was not a bad one in the bunch. I hate sours and I was still crushing on them at halftime. Then I tried the Strawberry Vanilla Milkshake...say what?! This is SO GOOD. Bottom line: quality, quality beers. Also, chill atmosphere, nice people, "rustic" decor, SO MANY LADIES ROOMS. So well done. ALSO EDIT: Just discovered a plethora of plugs where charging my sad, sad cell can saddle up. So thoughtful! Well played, NotW. Of note: park behind the building. If your kid is like my.kid and sports it up, there are crowlers and growlers to go that are reasonably priced. Looking forward to Summer Swelter here. Yes, please! Happy day, people. Enjoy!

Yelp
This has to be the most tidy, cleanest and kept up breweries we have been to in the area. It looks brand new everywhere (including the bathrooms). They have been here for 2 years and we didn't know it. Frankly our kids played at total turf before and we didn't know the brewery was on the other side. They are super nice and best of all, their beer selection is HUGE. What did they have.... maybe 20 beers to pick from. I wouldn't say their selection was super broad (5 sours, 6-8 IPAs, 2-3 Largers and Wheats), but maybe that changes with the seasons. I had all their IPAs some sours, a wheat and larger and I can honestly say there was not a single one I didn't like. Very impressed and we will be back.

Yelp
We had a wonderful date night here! The ambiance and care put into the decor is amazing. Ask the bartender or owner Paul, they have lots of great stories of where every piece of furniture was meticulously chosen from. The beer is delicious especially the sours. Definitely check this place out!

Yelp
My husband and I visited this weekend for the first time. I love that they have a lot of sour beers on tap. I was able to get a flight and try them all (the flight is huge!). My favorite beer was FUN. My husband also had it but mixed it with lemonade to make a shandy. It was fantastic. The staff is also very friendly.

Yelp
Pretty great little place. We've only stopped in while the kids were at bday parties or practice. But the beer is always great, and even with a large group of ppl, everyone can find something to enjoy. The employees are pleasant and always friendly. Glad to have a place for the adults to enjoy while the kids are occupied!

Yelp
Check out this brewery, the atmosphere is great and the staff is very knowledgeable and pleasant! The beer selection is great! They have beer festivals here so definitely looking forward to their next one! Stop in here when you're around and you will not be disappointed! Service is number one and these guys know what they're doing! We took some beer to go so that was great!!

Yelp
Great friendly service. The beer is great, and everyone I met there couldn't have been nicer. Even through these tough times they are still providing great beer, and take out options. Keep up the good work. Cheers!

Yelp
Great addition to Total Turf Experience! This cool on-site brewery is run by a great group of passionate and creative guys who make some pretty spectacular beer. There's at least 6 different styles of beers to choose from - all very tasty and each one unique, even the pickiest beer lover will find a favorite. Swan's Way IPA is awesome! Definitely check this place out, it's worth going out of your way for - you won't be disappointed!

Yelp
Yelp decided my review of Neck of the Woods Brewery in Pitman was not worth posting and I've decided yelp is a POS. I DO NOT know the people who own Neck of the Woods. My wife and I went there and had a great time and met some great people. But yelp isn't sure I'm legitimate. ...And I have a 2 word reply for yelp, which won't serve them or me. yelp is a joke. some ahole decides whether your time and trouble is legit. DONE!

Bruno C.

Yelp
Fantastic. We had a group go in. They were able to bring us inside vs outside. Brian and Chris were right there. Keeping our drinks full and the birthday girl happy. Thanks guys!

Kathy F.

Yelp
Neck of the Woods brewery is a great place to meet friends for a night out. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable. You can bring your own food or order from the place inside the building. The beer was great and the flights are the best. It gives you a great taste of the varied selection and the pours are very generous. The owners are always available to chat about their beer and help you in selecting. I would definitely recommend it for a casual night out.

Mary E.

Yelp
Beer is okay. Ordered and took a while to get my beer as the event was very disorganized.
