We went there for the Sunday night "Crazy Funny Asians" show. It was pretty decent for a local comedy show - though not all the comedians were Asian ;)
The seating is not as crowded as they have at other comedy places like Cobbs - so much better for these Covid times. Those working wore masks and requested that patrons wear masks when not drinking - most did.
The doorman checking tickets and seating people was friendly and helpful - he was also one of the comedians. The server bringing the drinks was efficient and nice. Prices for drinks is reasonable for SF, and they have some lower cost non-alcoholic options. They also have food on the menu - it is prepared and delivered from Koju kitchen just down the street.
The bartender on the other hand was an ass. I hope he was just a fill-in because he was rude and was overwhelmed even though it wasn't that crowded. He certainly affected the mood in a negative way - not good for a comedy show. And I'd certainly hate to see him "in action" when the place is more crowded.
Thus what would have been a 4 star review gets knocked down to 3 stars - only losing 1 star for the jerk bartender because the others there were pretty good.
I'd go back, but I certainly hope he isn't there.

Ordering drinks and food are done online - you can sign up for the special app or just enter cc info. I entered my cc info, placed the order and got a message that my credit card was confirmed. But no order confirmation. Did it again, same result. Checked with the helpful waitress who looked through the tickets and determined my order had not been placed. I checked my cc online and confirmed the charges did not go through.
So I asked the bartender if I could order from him, he looked up at me and just walked away (ass-tender interaction #1). So I tell the waitress I'll try a different card. and go back to my table.
While back at the table my S.O. goes to get some water since we have been there for 20 min with no drinks. The water carafe at the end of the bar is empty so she asks for it to be refilled. His response "Where did you get that?"; S.O.: "It was right here on the bar next to the cups"; Bartender: "Not my responsibility." (ass-tender interaction #2). The waitress sees this, steps up and says she will take care of it, bartender makes some other rude comment about it being her job.
Meanwhile I enter a different card with the same result - so I go back to the bar and do it again while showing the waitress. She has no clue what is wrong (which is understandable) and I ask her if I can just order from her. He asks the bartender to take my order and he "warmly" responds "can't you see I'm slammed with all these tickets? So no, I can't. (ass-tender interaction #3). Oh BTW, there were only 4 drink tickets sitting there. So the waitress politely says - I'll come over when he isn't so busy and take your order.
5 minutes pass and we finally flag the waitress down, she apologizes and takes our order. By now the 2nd comedian is on stage and we still don't have drinks even though we arrived 20 min before the show even started. She places the order and a few minutes later she comes back - they are out of the beer i ordered. Turns out the bartender knew they were out, but didn't tell anyone. I give her my replacement and I see her filling my beer herself - we have to wait 5 more minutes for the cocktail to be made by the bartender.
We have a 2nd round with no issues, other than slow cocktail making by the bartender.
Then at the end I go to pay my bill, and the waitress asks me to settle it with the bartender since he has access to the POS system. I go to him, tell him I need to pay for our drinks and without a word he walks away (ass-tender interaction #4).
A couple minutes later he comes back and calls the waitress over, snapping at her "I need to know what he ordered." So the waitress asks me what the drinks were - she couldn't remember which beers I ordered. I tell her and she relays it to the bartender who is standing right there (like one of those silly movie scenes when 2 people aren't speaking to each other so they communicate through a 3rd person). So I say to the bartender, "you could have asked me that 3 minutes ago". His only response - "Card!" meaning give me your credit card - and the only word he said to me in my 5 interactions with him.
I wish I could have tipped the waitress separately, because I am sure he got a chunk of the tip I left.
When I go back I will make sure we get the payment system working as soon as we arrive (maybe it had something to do with the cc info being auto-filled on my android), because I sure don't want to interact with a bartender there again.
