Operating since 1969, Ned’s is pure south‑side nostalgia: sweet‑tangy sauce, generous toppings, and wafer‑thin crust. Milwaukee Magazine’s pizza guide salutes its cult creations like pepperoncini‑and‑pickle combos; One Bite reviews call it textbook Milwaukee style. A carryout legend that still delivers the goods.

I ordered a pizza for takeout. They were right on time and so friendly. The pizza was absolutely perfect. The crust is what I grew up eating, I love the thin crust here and the sauce, outstanding. We ordered the Perfecta and the name fits the pie!!

Hands down, Ned’s is THE BEST pizza in the world, to me! I was raised on Ned’s Pizza. Back in the day when it was downtown right down the street from the Grand Avenue Mall. And I love and appreciate how it is still standing true and awesome even after Covid did a whole lot of small businesses wrong. I don’t know if it’s the super thin crust, the sauce, the sausage, or the mushrooms, or the combination of it all, but I just love it and I crave it! I’ve had them ship parbaked ones to me, I have ordered par-baked ones and froze them and brought them on planes with me to take to friends and family members in the South. I’ve been across this whole country back-and-forth, and I have never tasted a pizza better than Ned’s pizza. PERIOD!

Wow, we really loved the pizza. The girls were extremely nice. Cooks wore gloves. Super!

Google
Pizza was amazing! Take and bake since they had to shut down the in store tables. Will definitely return when in the area. Brings back memories of the 80's of their northwest location on Capitol Dr.

Google
Ned’s is always on point! From the time you call in to order til the very last bite, everything was amazing! I ordered a Large Pizza with Sausage, Pepperoni, Mushrooms & Extra Cheese…when I say delicious, I mean it! I wish I could give them 10 stars

Google
Going here for decades. I ask today, what the heck? You can’t put toppings on up to the edge? Look at the ranch dressing for my mushrooms. I think I’m owed back Update: Ned’s came through. Good conversation and made it right!

Google
This is the best pizza I have ever had in my entire life. I tell everyone about it and I love it for a special treat. It’s a little more expensive than local surrounding pizza places but in my opinion, it is well worth it especially if you’re looking to treat yourself.

Google
I have eaten at Neds Pizza starting back in the 1970's. The family was still the nicest people you will meet. The last time we came to Milwaukee we brought 30 parbaked pizzas back to SD.. We cried when we ate the last of the pizzas. God Bless your family and friends. No one has come close to your pizzas!

Bob B.

Yelp
Back in the 1960 s when Ned's was on Villard Ave we always ordered. Great pizza. Now we live in Northern Wisconsin north of Eagle River Wi. Now being in our 70's it it hard to get to Neds as we do not get to Milwaukee. So all you Ned's lovers eat some of that good pizza for us. Thanks much Bob B.

Yelp
This is my husband's all-time favorite pizza. Whatever sauce that they're using it is absolutely incredible. I've never had a bad experience here and the food is always fresh.

Yelp
I ordered 5 pizzas for delivery for a party we had last night. we hadn't had Ned's for a few years, and when a few of the guests heard we were having Ned's, they were like, oh boy, Ned's, I haven't had their pizza in ages! When it was delivered it was steaming hot. they were surprised that I didn't order extra cheese, as there was a LOT of cheese on the pizzas. They were delicious and everyone LOVED them. one of the guests sons orders them par baked and picks them up before a party. Good idea, going to try that myself.

Yelp
Amazing pizza at a great cost. Love the taste and highly recommend. People who work here are friendly and quick with your order. I did take out but the place looks very nice. Worth the stop for sure.

Yelp
Ned's make great pizzas, I'm just sorry that they do not have dining in their dining room room anymore.

Yelp
A very old pic of the last time I was at Ned's. Ned's pizza I would say is an historical spot that my family and I love. I been having Ned's since the 90's. Let me get into it! Food: Amazing is what I will say! It still tastes the same as when I had it as a kid. It brings back memories of sitting on my curb fixing my bike and having a slice of Ned's. Service: Every time I have dined in the staff have been really great friendly and always checked in on my friend and I. Atmosphere: Or ambiance like I call it, is always great to see the Decor. And it was very well kept and the staff made sure everything was very clean. Overall, if you want great thin crust pizza Ned's is the spot to go to. Hands down one of the best pizza restaurants on the south side.

Yelp
Employees - very friendly and helpful Sauce - good Toppings - very good Gluten-free crust - unfortunately, like cardboard. Very stiff and bland. I imagine if you are getting regular crust, you'd really love this place.

Pauline B.

Yelp
Delicious and piping hot, delivered!. Always a treat when they deliver our pizza steaming hot. They use the best pepperoni too They never disappoint!!
google avatar

Lisa Y.

Yelp
New to area & looking for pizza! We've had delivery and pick up here. The delivery was on time and the pizza was just as hot and fresh as if it just came from the oven! I love their thin crispy crust and I want to drink their tomato sauce from a cup! I love Ned's pizza!

dave w.

Yelp
Update! For whatever reason things weren't going well with our orders... So we gave them another chance and the last 2 orders have been perfect!! Thank you Ned's!!

Denise U.

Yelp
When you say you will be taking orders until a certain time on Christmas Eve, follow through on it. Don't cut the time off earlier. Thanks for the disappointment. Maybe instead of being closed on the day before (Monday), you should have been open to alleviate some of the demand.

Yelp
This was a favorite pizza spot for years. They switch from takeaway and in-house to only takeaway only. In the past their crust was crisp cracker style and thin. This time the crust was chewy. Not sure what happened. The sauce and sausage tasted great as always. But because of the crust change, no longer a favorite. Just ok.

Yelp
I loved their pizza, prices not so much but I still kept going until the prices spiked again. I drive an hour both ways just to buy this pizza but since there prices increased yet again I'll find side else. The pizza is good with just enough taste and if course cheese.

April B.

Yelp
Super delish pizza!! You can also get what they call par-baked and pick up to take home and cook.

Joan M.

Yelp
Service is pleasant. Prices are consistent with all other pizza places and their foods is fresh and very good.

Yelp
The pizza is pretty awesome. Order it in advance, it takes about 25 minutes, and order it parbaked to take home and finish off. 425 for 25 minutes or so and you get a delightful cheesy, saucy, crispy pizza. We ordered thin crusts o take home. An 11" was more than enough for one person. Their offerings are fairly straightforward. You're not going to get a fancy pizza or fancy toppings but I had the Hawaiian and I loved it. It also reheats fantastically the next day. There is no place to sit and dine, it's takeaway only, which is why I recommend the parbaked as opposed to a fully baked pizza. If you don't read the menu closely and you like extra sauce, you need to be aware of the terminology. If you like your pizza saucy, order it with a "Heavy" portion of sauce so that it's under the toppings and avoid the extra charge. If you order "Extra" sauce, the sauce is put on top of the cheese and they charge extra.

Yelp
First up, let me say that I am more than glad that Ned's now features online ordering. Ned's is still far better than anything offered by the large conglomerate owned pizza chains, better by a mile. I just want to make that clear. I ordered online(yay!) and the receipt said it's be delivered in about an hour or so, a very reasonable time frame, the pizza arrived at my door about a half hour before they said it would. Win! As I said above I haven't ordered Ned's in good long while and when I saw that they had online ordering I had to, so I did. It's still very good pizza, I do want to make that clear, but it's different. First off the crust seems to have been one of those commercially made pre-made pizza crusts, it wasn't bad but it wasn't the crust I was expecting, Ned's used to make their crusts from fresh dough and was cracker thin, loved it! This wasn't that. Next is the sauce, it was as thick and rich as I remembered, but it was bland, they seem to have changed their recipe It was a good sauce, but it was different than what I expected from Ned's. The toppings were generous, the cheese was generously portioned the veggies tasted fresh except for the mushrooms which were canned, but they've always used canned mushrooms so that's not a complaint. In the end, I enjoyed it and I will order from Ned's again when the hankering for pizza strikes. I just wish that they'd do something about the crust.

Yelp
Ned's is the best in Milwaukee. Classic cracker crust, sweet sauce and the most delicious sausage. Been my favorite for over 45 years and still the reigning champ. I get one everything I am "home" hoping it wasn't as good as I remember, but it always is and I have to suffer with Minnesota Pizza while dreaming of the perfection that is Ned's.

Yelp
"Milwaukee's Famous Thin Crust Pizza Since 1969" A pizzeria in Milwaukee that is a safe bet when trying a local pizza place is about. Rich in flavor and ingredients, this is the type of pizza I'd order to watch a game at home.

Mr J.

Yelp
I have been going to Ned's for decades. It's my #1 choice, a bit of a drive but worth the time. Service is great and prices are fair.

Yelp
Pretty good pizza always on point a true Milwaukee classic thin crust pizza it's great even cold the sauce is nice and tangy the customer service is always pleasant.

Yelp
I was told that I needed to stop over for a take and bake pizza because it's pretty good and all restaurant dining rooms were closed because of the virus anyway. They were just cranking out pizzas at 5:45 on Friday night but I called my order in hours before so I was in and out. I never saw the dining room because it was blocked off but as you walk in is the take out window. I ordered the small cheese, sausage, pepperoni, onion, mushroom and green peppers and for some reason they put no green peppers and gave me everything else. The pizza has a nice thin crust that works in a pizza oven nicely. The pizza was pretty good and tasty I thought and all the ingredients played well with each other. The sauce was tasty and perfect because it was not too little or over saucy. I would definitely get a a pizza again when the dining room opens up.

Yelp
Pizza was very good garlic bread was excellent deal was great just wish that delivery didn't take so long

Yelp
Neds is my family's favorite for years! The crust is so thin we call it "Cracker Pizza" because we love the crunchy texture. The pepperoni pizza is delicious and my kids love the Triple P which is Pepperoni, Pepperoncini, & Pickles with delicious sauce & cheese. Highly recommend Ned's because it's everyone's Favorite Thin Crust Pizza. (Note: It's takeout only. I do miss the sit down restaurant which was sadly closed during Covid and never reopened due to employee shortages.)
google avatar

Chad B.

Yelp
I absolutely love the pizza at Ned's. In my opinion it's the best delivered pizza in the area. The crust is tasty. The sauce is wonderful, and the toppings are ample and delicious. Highly recommend.

Katie J.

Yelp
I have been eating Ned's pizza for over 40 years but lately they have been lacking. Last night's order was the final straw. It took 2.5 hours to get our delivery. I understand they were busy and that's ok but my pizza was burnt. This is the third time they have screwed up our order. I like the food and thought I would give them another chance but no more. They did give me a full refund which is why I gave them 3 stars.
google avatar

The Dead M.

Yelp
The garlic bread was just alright, like it wasn't good or bad. The pizza was OK. The garlic bread was a little cold.
google avatar

Scott K.

Yelp
Been going here for over 40 years, great service and they know my order by my phone number. I think it's still take out only, but that's all I usually do. Still love the best Veggie Pizza with mushrooms & there Cheese Bread is the BEST. My kids love it so sometimes we order 2 cheese breads. Used to live nearby 20 year ago, but still make the trip from Racine to grab my Neds ;)

Joe M.

Yelp
CARRY OUT ONLY! Nowhere on their website does it say no inside eating. Went there for pizza, ended up going for pizza elsewhere. Sorry Ned's.
google avatar

Christian G.

Yelp
Love it. Great classic thin crust. Staff always very friendly. I used to live closer and wish I still did so I could take it home faster!
google avatar

Steve K.

Yelp
I had Ned's on my list for a long time and well worth the try. Very good thin crust and toppings were evenly portioned and flavorful. However thought they were a bit heavy on the sauce. Overall would recommend and will consider next trip to the Milwaukee area.

Andre M.

Yelp
I've been following Ned's since they were located Downtown (40+ yrs ago). I still remember the phone number from back then: 271-1111. I'm not far from Brown Deer Park and don't mind the drive considering the distance because I know how good their pizza is. This is real comfort food!

Yelp
This place has been here since I was in high school at Pulaski just down the street and I graduated in 1980!!!! The pizza is just as good as I remember it way back then. DELICIOUS- crust , sauce and toppings just Yum!!!!! Loved it!! Unfortunately the inside of the building is the same as when I was there in high school too. The bathroom in the basement is down some odd steep stairs and it's like jumping into a time machine and going backwards for sure. When you walk in you see the kitchen where they are working on the pizzas. They are bustling around and working with vigor. Service is warm and friendly and fast. My girlfriends and I are there. Others filled the old dining room ignoring the lack of fancy pants decor of any kind and just enjoying the tremendous pizza. We savored every bite and each took food home for the families too. There's nothing like NEDS!!

Yelp
Still my favorite pizza in the Milwaukee area. They were super busy on a Saturday night but we only had to wait about 5 minutes for a table. We weren't in the mood for the usual appetizers so we demolished an excellent 14" pizza with sausage and pepperoni and onions on half. We always skip the mushrooms because they only have canned. Service was solid and the pizza was piping hot and cooked perfectly.

Ryan N.

Yelp
So this place is getting better. I have not given up. Last time I went was to get their 2024 coupon book. The sauce is back to the neds quality you can expect. The sausage is normal as well. The issue starts at the pepperoni. It tastes like hormel pepperoni in the bag you can get from any grocery store, not the fresh thick cut pepperoni that cups when baked. Overall it's getting better and I hope that soon dine in eating can return. Yes covid is over and they still have no opened dine in eating. Carry out sucks and I would much rather eat inside for the full experience I always remembered having.

Yelp
We were in the Southgate area when we decided to grab some lunch. After consulting Yelp, we decided some pizza at Ned's sounded like just the thing. It was Memorial Day, so we phoned first to see if they were open on the holiday. Fortunately for us, they were. As we drove up, we noticed on their sign that they've been in business in Milwaukee since 1969. Nearly 50 years? Amazing! It's a seat yourself sorta place. The dining room when we arrived (late Monday afternoon) was nearly empty (but began to fill up almost immediately after we found our seat). They offer a limited beer and wine menu (in addition to sodas etc). My dining companion was delighted to see that Lakefront Brewing's Eastside Dark was on the menu, while I opted for Sprecher's Root Beer (classic, old school deliciousness). We both ordered their garden salad to start, which is a bed of lettuce with radish slices, carrot shavings, tomatoes, croutons, and your choice of dressing (me: bleu cheese). It was ample, fresh, and fabulous. We then ordered their sausage pizza. They have a pizza special on Monday (14 inch cheese or sausage pizza at a discount). The pizza comes on a nearly paper thin and cracker crisp crust. So, if you like it thin and crispy? This, my friends, is your jam. The service was attentive, prompt, and friendly. The ambiance is basic and maybe a bit dated, but clean. All in all? A good choice for lunch, dinner, or takeout! Get to it!

Yelp
Dining room closed since Covid But take out available Same quality since 20+ years ago My go to order Eba (everything but anchovies) And tots for the kids Never let's us down Call with phone and they pull you up and they have your regular order ready to submit Once again Awesome service and fantastic food

Yelp
I have been a customer of Ned's for over 5 decades...It was recently sold to someone, and it isn't the same. Used to go to Ned's Pizza Cellar on Villard when I was young, and it was superb...Currently only on South 27th Street, so it better be great to travel that far. Now I am old and experienced, and no longer consider Ned's the best pizza in town. The crust was not good, probably prepackaged and then used in their pizza...maybe even frozen before...the toppings, cheese, tomato sauce, and extras still good. But rating now lower due to the lousy crust. And since the new owner took over, prices up nearly 50%....I know this is true, cuz I have the cooking instrux on the carry out from before and from currently...what was a $13.50 pizza a year or so ago is now $19.50 (14 inch). And they only now have carryout...would much prefer to sit down to a freshly cooked pizza and pay a nice waitress 20%. Pizza used to be an event...now it is just food, and not as good as before. Cost cutting on ingredients (namely the crust) will cost them customers. Good luck to the new owner who thinks we don't care about quality.

Yelp
Triple P. Nothing more needs to be said. Never knock it until you've tried it. Thank me later.

Yelp
Customer Service- Amazing!!! Great job!!! *round of applause* Bravo!!!! Experience-Lots of toppings, heavy sauce (as requested) and still piping hot after a pretty lengthy air conditioned drive. Yaaaaaaassssssssssssssssss!!!!!
google avatar

Yelp
Best pizza ever! Love the cracker thin crust and sweet sauce. Chicken tenders are amazing! Five stars! Delivery arrives hot!

Ryan K.

Yelp
Okay pizza but slow service. Sadly this seems to be one of the over hyped but underperforming places in Milwaukee that come highly recommend but leave you slightly disappointed.
google avatar

Luis S.

Yelp
Best pizza in town, Love Ned's pizza, have been going there for over 20 years now. I highly recommend.

Gloria H.

Yelp
Neds Pizza has been my husband and my 'go to' pizza for in excess of 40 years! We have never even come close to finding an equal staff nor an equally delicious pizza! Thank you, Ned's!
google avatar

Paul G.

Yelp
3 stars for the pizza. Minus 1 star for the food poisoning . Also, the driver was sent to the wrong address. Mistakes happen... not really a big deal. Just trying to fill up my character quota in order to post the review.

Yelp
I'm happy to see the dedicated and loyal customers coming to Ned's Pizza during these difficult times. The pizzas are the BOMB! Keep up the good work and commitment to excellence! Happy Customer Milwaukee, WI

Yelp
To call Ned's Pizza great is an understatement. The pizza is so good it's like having two angels copulating on your tongue! Enjoy, we sure did.

Yelp
Great customer service with a smile. Good no nonsense food at a great price. Yummy poppers and tasty pesto cheese bread.
