The owner, Bhavna, and her team were the most helpful, creative and kind folks to work with on my wedding invitations. They came out absolutely beautiful! Cannot speak highly enough of the options, selections and expertise in both stationary and invites. So happy with our wedding suite!!!

Google
This family owned business gives you exactly what you expect in terms of customer service and quality of product. The owners helped me personally when I was in the store looking for a special birthday card. Since I moved away, I've had to order online and their new website makes it so easy! Their collection of cards is unique and I know that when I'm giving someone one of Needle in a Haystack's cards, they're going to love it. I highly recommend this store for all your stationary needs.

Incredible variety of options. Not just a store for stationery and greeting cards. If you need a gift or something personalized for a friend or loved one, be sure to check out this store. The staff is super helpful and make you feel like you’re a part of their family. Their website constantly has new products added as well.

Google
BEWARE! I can not overstate the comedy of errors during our horrible experience with this company. For context, I have never left a google review before, but felt compelled to do so in order to help others avoid a similar experience. We ordered what we hoped would be a set of 50 customized wedding invitations. After a two month lead time, we finally received the order only to find that some were misprinted with the wrong names (e.g. the name “Gregory Doe” was printed as “egory Doe”). Unfortunately, the mistakes could not be reprinted in time for our wedding, presumably because this company outsources its production to a third party. Even worse, the company first tried to blame us for the misprints, until we proved it was their fault by referring back to the guest list that we spent hours meticulously formatting for them so that it could fit the ordering system. After finally admitting the misprinting was their mistake, their solution was to provide hand-written replacements which did not match the other invitations, and they not-so-generously offered to give us a $10 refund on our order. To add insult to injury, they charged my fiancé an extra $1,000 on her credit card and argued her into tears until she provided proof of the overcharges, which she did and which they ultimately acknowledged. I tried to look up the owners to provide them feedback on the employees that worked with my fiancé on this project. It seems who she worked with was the owner , who I also noticed gave the company a five star google review. I would highly recommend finding an alternative to this company, particularly if you have custom projects or even just prefer to support a business that treats its customers fairly.

They have my business for life! Needle in a Haystack is my one-stop shop for all stationery, wrapping, invitations and special gifts. The owners take such amazing pride in everything they do and their team is superb!

Google
I was kindly directed to this store by an employee at a florest and gift shop that did not carry what I was looking for. I had never been here before. They had a nice selection of greeting cards, stationary and other paper goods and gifts.

Google
Any, ANY type of stationery you could ever need is here. Very helpful, knowledgeable staff who are versed in the proper etiquette surrounding written communique. A little pricey, but it's worth it.

Outstanding service, great selection and friendly service. I highly recommend them.

Yelp
A great local spot for high quality stationery and gifts. Wedding invitations, cocktail napkins and accessories, and greeting cards.

Yelp
I think they have more business than they can handle and they don't seem to bend well to get more help. It's inevitable our human need to not seem overwhelmed to customers when in the retail world. The only thing is, it's obvious to your customers that you are. I know you're tweeting to do your best, but you need to hire someone who can help you get organized and updated.

Yelp
Terrible experience, will not recommend this establishment to anyone. Purchased wedding invitations. The glue was damaged and the invites were lost or arrived damaged. The store's response was "not my problem" and essentially you are not a valued customer. This was an $800+ order. If I could recommend 0 stars, I would.

Caleb W.

Yelp
Please ignore any of the reviews below giving them 1 star. It's completely ridiculous that you would give them a bad rating because of shipping problems out of their control or the fact that they have "too many options". Every time I've gone here it's been nothing but pleasant. I've spoken to the owner and his wife several times. They are extremely accommodating and know their stuff. I ordered custom stationary. They've kept me in the loop on my order the entire time. Highly recommend.

Yelp
I wanted to create an invitation for a memorial service for my mom. I took them an old dinner napkin with a smudged drawing of my mom. Their people cleaned Up the drawing and turned the invitation into a beautiful tribute. This is a can-do, let us help you kind of place. They also had everything ready ahead of my expectations. Amazing. Wish I could give 10 stars!

Yelp
This is an incredible store that has an enormous inventory of stationary, invitations and gifts. It has been in existence for many years and is family owned. I have purchased wedding invitations, party invitations, and thank you notes and I have not received better personal service anywhere. They aren't just trying to "sell you" the most expensive item. They take the time to help and give you suggestions. I love supporting small businesses and this is the top of the line!

Alekhya D.

Yelp
This store has EVERYTHING you need and then some! I only went in for birthday cards but their stationary collection spans every type of event you can imagine. They also have tote bags, personalized cups, party stuff, and great gifts that I am definitely going to use for future events. Their prices are reasonable but the best part is their service. The owners are so helpful and will give you suggestions to help you find exactly what you want.

Yelp
Warning! Over stimulation may be induced upon entering this store. Yeesh, they aren't lying - finding the perfect station for you is like searching for a needle in haystack. Not like that is a bad thing: they have outrageous options and for as much as they have to offer, it is well organized overall. Just a tad overwhelming. I am talking invitations and stationary for every occasion from floor to ceiling. Literally. Their invitation racks reach the ceiling. Do you need a crafty invitation for a crazy circus party or maybe a Mexican fiesta? They have numerous option for every theme. Feeling overwhelmed yet? Wait until you see the options for stationary and well, the prices. They can sometimes be overwhelming. Some of the prices I can justify because they are really detailed, but some just seem to be a stretch.

Yelp
While they have a great selection of card and invitations, all in all, shopping here is a beating. First of all, there is a lingering curry smell when you walk in the door that is never pleasant when shopping. Second, the selection is amazing but it is difficult to find anything because it is so cluttered. Third, they are not friendly to their customers. Considering how expensive it is to send custom invitations, especially wedding invitations, I expect much better customer service and assistance in going through the inventory especially since this shop is a complete clustered mess. My suggestion is to go elsewhere for invitations and paper products.

Yelp
I have to second the review below. This place is extremely cluttered and the staff is aloof to say the least. Regardless, I still ordered some engraved cards from them. First I have say, the cards did come out as expected. They were simple and I had no problems with the final product, although as I understand it this type of work is sent out to a 3rd party. My problem with Needle in a Haystack was they utter lack of communication, or responsiveness on their part. I had to call repeatedly just to find out when the proof was ready. Then the final cards were delayed week after week with no explanation. When I would call for the status, I was always told they would call me back. Eventually, I got my cards about a month and half late. You would think with all these phone calls, they would have called to tell me the cards had arrived, but instead I found out on one of my weekly "what is the status" call that they had received them a few days before. I can't recommend this place for much if you need any sort of customer service beyond checking out. There are plenty of other places around town to take your business.

Yelp
I recently purchased from this store and was completely taken advantage of!!!!! It's businesses like this one that give small business a very bad name! There are lots of really great stationery stores in the metro area that are worth the drive out of the Dallas city limits to visit.

Yelp
If i could think of one word to describe this store it would be: simply amazing! When I walked in, my mouth just dropped! Literally! There's so much to offer and they have every invitation for every occasion. I came in just to look for party ideas/invitations for my friend's bachelorette party. Well, I ended up spending about an hour there just by looking around and getting the wonderful help from the staff. Like I said, I wasn't planning on buying them that day, but I found an invitation that I hadn't seen at any other stores. The kind lady that helped me, sat down with me and wrote out the wording. Without her generous help, the invitation would not have been so perfect. These ladies definitely know the proper etiquette and what to say and not to say on an invitation. Invitations were executed in a timely manner with a complimentary proof. The staff is always willing to help and work with you on your invitation. They made my experience so enjoyable that I came back to do my stationery and other invitations as well. I'm sorry to hear that the other 2 didn't have as good of an experience as me, but everybody has their good and bad days. Right? ;) I've lived in the Dallas area for a good 20 years now, and I've shopped at other stationery stores in the area, but I can honestly say that I wasn't as impressed as I was with Needle in a Haystack. I suggest to whoever is looking for the perfect party/wedding/stationery invitation to check this place out. There's so much to offer, and with the unbeatable prices (it's less expensive than the others I mentioned), you won't want to shop anywhere else.

Yelp
Terrible customer service. I will support other local businesses after my negative experience there.

Yelp
I can't believe I never wrote a review about this place when I first visited a couple of years ago. I was sent there the girl who did the name cards at my wedding. Since it had been awhile, I decided to stop by to check it out with my "bridezilla-shades" off. I didn't smell a curry smell (but then again, I grew up in an Indian household, so perhaps I'm have immunity to the smell) and I was asked at least twice if I needed any help. Yes, the store is cluttered but I like to think they have plenty of options and I am not one that likes to be limited due to what's not available. You can find any type of paper here... in any patter and any color. It's a card creators bit of heaven if you will. Since I didn't use them for custom cards, I couldn't really tell you how they worked on that front. The prices are a little more on the higher end, could be the area it's located in, could be the specialty of some of the paper. If you are looking for something specific, it's worth checking out. Try going an off time period since parking a little difficult. All in all, I love paper and this store definitely set my creative juices into overdrive.

Yelp
I've used Needle in a Haystack for our Save the Dates, invitations, and personalized koozies. If you buy invitations from them, they'll give you a 20% discount on everything else you purchase from them. The koozies are nice, neoprene ones and cheaper than anything I could find online. We've gotten many compliments on our Save the Dates and invitations. The staff has always been friendly and responsive to me.

Yelp
I've been coming to Needle in a Haystack for three years now and order all of my paper from them. They have excellent customer service and with their selection, I always find what I want. I have noticed that they are beginning to have an array of gift selection. Anything from personalized bags, pads, albums, and purses. I highly recommend shopping here.

Yelp
I ordered 45 invitations, response cards, envelopes and Dinner Menus for my Engagement Party and I requested to have the POM Flower graphic embellished with LOTS of glitter [like the in-store sample I saw by the same company]. From the moment the 1st proof was emailed to me, this order had problems. The language in the proofs was horrible. Text that should have been in capital letters, was in lower case, letters that should have been capitalized, were in lower case and in a different font all together! The 2nd and 3rd proof readings were no better which resulted in 2 trips to the store. After resolving all of those problems, I received my invitations 1 weeks later. Much to my dismay, the embellishments to the flowers were not as requested. Needle in a Haystack offered to make the corrections in-house. They assured me, it would look like the sample. 3 days later when I arrived to at the store to pick them up, I was horrified by the modifications to my invitations and the RSVP cards! There were big clumps of glitter on EVERY card. There was glitter streaked and smeared on some of the cards. 50% of the cards were stuck together! There was makeup or chocolate or something brown on one of the invitations. My invitations had the appearance of dollar store product. We submitted a complaint to the store and to the stationary printing company immediately. NO ONE from Needle in a Haystack has called us back to this day. Luckily for us, the printing company reprinted the cards, embellished the flower graphic [as I originally requested] and sent the new invitations and RSVP cards overnight to us in time to mail them to our guest. The problems with the embellishments, in my opinion, was due to bad communication between Needle in a Haystack and the stationary printing company and as a result, my invitations were ruined.

Yelp
Needle in a Haystack = Professional Planners for any stationery or invitation need: I have observed that Needle in a Haystack's strength is when one schedules an appointment with their design staff or store owners, before visiting. I received complimentary tailored help and expertise. For vendors such as Crane & Co., Alexa Pulitzer, Dolce Press, The Wren Press, Vera Wang, and Page, they have large sample books which contain physical invitations and envelopes from these brands. Needle can guide you as to any other complimenting items and creates a realistic schedule. They have formed relationships with many invitation and stationery manufacturers. They are so knowledge of both traditional methods and what the new products will be from each line. I could not find this advice or guidance anywhere else in the South! Not only have I ordered products from external vendors through them, but I have also had them create and print custom pieces for me in their in-house studio. For both options, they carefully monitored the design process and the status of my shipments.

Yelp
I went to this store because the paper did not come in on time for our invitations on time. We were in a bind so, I called them and they said they had the paper so we asked then to hold it for us. When I got there to pick up the paper, the lady at the counter first said "no refunds on this". I said yes because the invitations had to get out right away. She then proceeded to ring up the paper for twice the manufacturer's suggested retail price. I asked her why the price was so high and she said it was "because it was on the shelf". Now I can't believe she charges all of her customers double retail for in stock paper or she would not stay in business. So I am guessing she charged that price because she knew we were in a bind and needed the paper right away. So - it you absolutely have to have it right away, I would suggest going somewhere else, because this lady sees a predicament as nothing but $$ signs.
