I ordered 45 invitations, response cards, envelopes and Dinner Menus for my Engagement Party and I requested to have the POM Flower graphic embellished with LOTS of glitter [like the in-store sample I saw by the same company]. From the moment the 1st proof was emailed to me, this order had problems. The language in the proofs was horrible. Text that should have been in capital letters, was in lower case, letters that should have been capitalized, were in lower case and in a different font all together! The 2nd and 3rd proof readings were no better which resulted in 2 trips to the store. After resolving all of those problems, I received my invitations 1 weeks later. Much to my dismay, the embellishments to the flowers were not as requested. Needle in a Haystack offered to make the corrections in-house. They assured me, it would look like the sample. 3 days later when I arrived to at the store to pick them up, I was horrified by the modifications to my invitations and the RSVP cards! There were big clumps of glitter on EVERY card. There was glitter streaked and smeared on some of the cards. 50% of the cards were stuck together! There was makeup or chocolate or something brown on one of the invitations. My invitations had the appearance of dollar store product.
We submitted a complaint to the store and to the stationary printing company immediately. NO ONE from Needle in a Haystack has called us back to this day. Luckily for us, the printing company reprinted the cards, embellished the flower graphic [as I originally requested] and sent the new invitations and RSVP cards overnight to us in time to mail them to our guest.
The problems with the embellishments, in my opinion, was due to bad communication between Needle in a Haystack and the stationary printing company and as a result, my invitations were ruined.
