This restaurant was wonderful. My friend and I were here for Restaurant Week 2024. The space is not huge but it isn't small either. The walls are an exposed brick but with different shades. The decor is minimalist but the details are lovely. The food was fantastic and the cocktails were good. I had the Hearth Broiled Oysters with Camembert. They were delicate and the cheese over them was just the right amount and perfectly melted. My friend had the Mussels a delicious broth that had a slight kick to it and Coconut Milk. It came with Fries. The Fries were a bit salty but my friend asked if she could get it less salty and they accommodated her. The new batch of Fries were delicious especially with some of the broth. For my entrée I had the Ricotta Gnudi witch came in an earthy broth with Mushrooms, Corn and Sage. It was 😋. The sweetness of the Corn gave the richness and earthiness of the broth a lovely balance and the Mushrooms were delicate and earthy. My friend had the Tile Fish which she enjoyed. I had a tasty cocktail made with Mezcal. It's name was Santa Muerte. My friend had the Hot Apple Cider. It was very warming. We both chose the Baked Alaska for dessert. It was delicious and the presentation was Instagram worthy. I also tried their Nizzi cocktail which was ok. I preferred the Santa Muerte Cocktail. The service was amazing. Our waitress was accommodating, helpful and very knowledgeable. It's not cheap to eat here but it's worth every dollar. If you get a chance to go for Restaurant Week do it, you won't regret it.

My family and I heard about a new restaurant that opened and had to give it a try. The food menu seemed quite simple and straightforward but the result was more than I expected. Great talent from the kitchen and the staff was very kind to us. Would come back again.

Google
“American accented French cuisine” in the heart of Williamsburg! I love this description of Neeloo because it feels like a great way to describe this menu. Seafood focused, southern French inflections and, most importantly, approachable. We would not let the server take the dishes until every drop of sauce was cleaned from the plate, especially on that Wagyu Sirloin! Great for your next date night or maybe apps and drinks after work, this was a fun menu to explore! Here are the highlights: 🦪 Hearth Broiled Wellfleet Oysters w/ Camembert (outrageous!) 🐟 Fluke Crudo w/ Blood Orange, Strawberries, Pistachios 🔥P.E.I. Mussels w/ Harissa, Coconut Milk, French Fries 🍄 Ricotta Gnudi w/ Wild Mushrooms, Corn, Sage 🥩 American Wagyu Sirloin: Leeks, Foie Gras, Sauternes Jus 🎂 Baked Alaska: Almond Cake, Mascarpone Ice Cream, Strawberry 🍫 White Chocolate Mousse w/ Cocoa Nib, Bee Pollen, Olive Oil, Sea Salt 🥃 La Passeggiata: Gin, Fennel, Cocchi Americano, Salers, Grapefruit Bitters

Service was incredible. We ordered most of the dishes on the menu and every dish was very fresh, light, and flavorful! I feel like an addition of a heavier, more carb-rich option to the menu might make the meal more complete.

Such a delicious new addition to the neighbourhood! I enjoyed a lovely dinner here with my husband and we ordered the pomme dauphine, socca, oysters, beet & peaches, eggplant and gnudi, finished with the white chocolate mousse, of course. Food was superb and service was warm and inviting. Make sure you come here hungry as it’ll be hard not to choose everything on the menu!

Google
absolutely floored. best new edition to the neighborhood, was even debating on giving them this review because i want to come back and don’t want to have a hard time getting a res next time but that’s me being selfish. every dish was a hit except for the baked alaska (was too marshmallow heavy) - if you’re in the neighborhood this spot is a MUST!

Google
Sadly, a snooze. Food is good, but overall the experience is overpriced. The interior is boring. Service feels forced and fake. You can have this menu in so many restaurants in NYC. Food is well prepared, but neither exciting, nor innovative.

You'll love this restaurant! Not only is the location, ambiance, food, and staff great, but the prices are also very reasonable given the high quality. We had the bread, potatoes dauphin, broiled oysters with Camembert, ricotta gnudi (like a gnocchi but softer and in the most tasty broth), and the endive which was like a salad but made to eat with your hands (each leaf of endive had the perfect amount of apple, cheese, and walnuts on it and you could dip it into the tasty dressing). The house rose was REALLY fantastic and a great value at $10 per glass. Even if Resy says they are full you can come in the earlier side and there will be tables - for now at least until everyone hears about this place.

Yelp
I came here with 2 friends for dinner. I came early just before 6 so sat at the bar. Everyone was very welcoming and it was a cute space. Only weird thing was that they don't have a happy hour outside of the weekend. I started with a lavender cocktail which was refreshing and smooth. We then family styled three starters the pear and golden beet salad, the fluke crudo and the octopus . The pear and beet salad was nice for what it was and had a lot of beets and pears. The octopus was interesting play with cabbage shaved nuts a thick white sauce and then octopus hiding on the bottom in the sauce. I thought the plating was weird but overall the octopus was cooked well. The fluke crudo was fresh but I didn't love the preparation in strawberry sauce. We then ordered the wagyu, the tilefish and the gnudi. Having only 3 mains was limiting but we were happy to try all 3. The tilefish was cooked well in a delicious brothy sauce. It probably was the smallest portion but served with a lot of spinach which was nice. The wagyu beef was a huge portion , it could have used a side of potatoes and was rich and delicious. The gnudi were very good as well and I'm not a ricotta fan. If you have a chance you should try this new restaurant!

Yelp
Everything we ate here was pretty solid and the service was on point. My favorite dishes of the night were - ricotta gnudi 9/10, flavors were great but it was a small portion for the price - Wagyu sirloin 8/10, the Wagyu itself was nothing special but the carmelized onions and sauce were so good I wanted some bread to soak it up The endive, grilled octopus and oysters were all well cooked and tasty, but the mains stood out more The only thing I didn't really like was the lobster bisque - it was really salty and small for the price

Yelp
This new restaurant is a great addition to the neighborhood. Cozy vibes and beautiful interior design. Our server was so friendly and helpful with ordering. He recommended some great dishes and was very welcoming which we always appreciate anywhere we dine. The plates are on the smaller side so if you're looking to share family style order a few extra dishes. For the four of us we started with a bunch of apps and shared 3 or 4 entrees. The drinks are also tasty and felt so festive. The baked Alaska to end dinner was 10/10, we'll be back!

Yelp
Wow no reviews yet? This place is amazing. Everything that came out was bussin. On a cold Sunday evening, i stroll into a restaurant in grand avenue and am seated near the front. I order a cocktail as Im waiting for my guest. My sister and nephew arrive and they get some drinks. I explore the wine list a little more and they have discounted bottles! We order some wine and its amazing. now to the food. The sauce in which these FRESH mussels were bathed in was Ah Mazing. Curry and coconut flavors! The fries were perfect texture. I needed more. The foubasse chefs kiss. A light airy bread that sings to you with each and every bite. The waygu steak. Tender and perfect. The endive salad and veggies perfect. The salad was served on wedges and paired with sweet, tart and crispy with every bite. Now time to the major key alert: order a bottle of the special priced wine and get some appetizers. You will transport yourself to an indoor winebar out of this country. Nice price point for great food

Yelp
Neeloo is the best!!!! You have to get the oysters, gnudi and the wagyu sirloin (the sauce is to die for). The bartender was very knowledgeable and made me the most delicious lavender cocktail (L'Abeille). The ambiance is perfect, including the lighting, music, and decor. Love this place!!

Yelp
Was visiting New York from Florida and was recommended to try Neeloo and it did not disappoint. Staff was super friendly and the food even better! Love the intimate ambiance, perfect for anyone who wants to have a nice meal. Highly recommend to try the golden beet and the Wagyu sirloin. The baked Alaska and white chocolate mousse for dessert was the perfect ending!

Yelp
A friend and I went to Neeloo for restaurant week. I've heard about this place and have been dying to try it, thought this would be a great opportunity to try a bunch of their stuff! And it definitely was!! The non-alcoholic drink my friend ordered was so good I ordered it with vodka for myself. For the apps we had of the fluke and endive, they were light, tasty, and satisfying. I was surprised by how much I liked the strawberry sauce/vinaigrette on the fluke. We shared the waygu and the gnudi for our entrees. I will say I was expecting a larger portion of the waygu but it was perfectly executed; it was a cold winter night and our entrees were appropriate for that, being cozy, warm, and filling. We shared the baked Alaska and the strawberry basil sorbet for desert: as someone who finally had superiority burger's frozen dessert for the first time recently-- Neeloo's take on it is much better and presumably a better price. I will say, due to it being a Friday during restaurant week, the kitchen which we sat by appeared to be a bit backed up, servers were waiting and managing the kitchen the entire time so the drama was exciting as an onlooker lol. Our server suggested coming back for a brunch day -- which I plan on doing! Our pre-fixe ended up taking close to 3 hours to complete from sitting down (yes I know that sounds long) but honestly, despite the issues the staff might have had, it spaced us out for eating the dishes in a way that kept us ready for the next, all our dishes still came out fresh and HOT, and we didn't have anywhere else to go so we were happy to spend the night there!

Yelp
The decor and lighting were lovely and the waitstaff was very attentive. The oysters were delicious. That being said, I was mostly disappointed in my meal. The menu has only three entrees and I didn't love the two my husband and I shared. Everything we had was overly sauced. The mussels had a tasty coconut-based sauce but the dish was not hot enough and the fries were cold and soggy. The gnudi were drowning in an overly sweet sauce. So was the steak and it could have used some sort of starch for balance and to soak up some of the sauce. I enjoyed dessert. It was fun to watch the server flambé the baked Alaska and it was delicious. I understand that it's new and there are growing pains. I expect it will get better.

Yelp
Was excited to try this new spot and were a little underwhelmed. The food itself is good. The waitstaff didn't introduce himself or really the restaurant at all, just showed up and asked if we knew what we wanted. They also didn't really tell us what the dishes were when they were dropped off on the table. The drink selection was limited in that the only cheaper wines they have were left over from the previous restaurant in this location, so won't be around for much longer. Our waiter brought a free appetizer at some point because our main course was taking so long, I guess not realizing that it was the same dish we had just eaten as we had ordered it ourselves. To be fair, our experience was very much colored by the group of four women at the table 10 inches away from us who essentially screamed at each other in conversation whenever there wasn't food on the table. I would consider spacing the tables out more.

Yelp
Neeloo is great in concept in a beautiful space but leaves a lot to be desired. The menu is fairly limited which ok fine, but there were only 3 entrees and when I see that on a menu I'm expecting an overly abundant amount of starters/small for sharing which was not the case. Wines by the glass are left over inventory from the previous owner stated as being on a discount but there were $15 bottles of wine still being marked up to $55. I know everyone has a markup on liquor but these wines are specifically called out as being on sale. We ordered the charbroiled oysters which flavor wise were tasty but each oyster had chunks of shell in them that were impossible to see in the sauce. Overall this was a disappointing miss but I do think the overall restaurant has promise.

Yelp
Amazing place! From the food, to service, to the ambiance. Can't get much better than Neeloo.

Yelp
Great addition to the neighborhood. The food was outstanding and the service was attentive and friendly. The bread service is a must, as are the fluke crudo, the octopus, and the pommes dauphine. But the best dish was by far the gnudi. Just outstanding.

Callie M.

Yelp
The food was amazing and the fact that it's a family owned restaurant made the restaurant seem that much more enticing and inviting. I definitely will have to come back!

Ruby A.

Yelp
Amazing place, the food was delicious and the service was absolutely outstanding. This place is a 10/10, the ambiance was spectacular, would recommend Neeloo to anyone!

Yelp
Amazing food and cute space. Start with the Fougasse bread and butter. Came out piping hot. The pommes dauphine are delicious little balls of fried mashed potatoes. Broiled oysters, fluke crudo and grilled octopus were all first rate. Shared entrees of the gnudi and wagyu steak. Both terrific. Gnudi were fluffy pillows of heaven. Finale of dazzle and wow with a flaming baked Alaska that was giving delicious strawberry shortcake vibes. Will definitely be back.
