I bought those from this store, i was really hungry and it was my 2nd time n last time in this store. They gave me a food where i found Grilled Fly🙂. Even though their meals taste are fine , they have to work on cleaning and proper glasses for their eyes.

Best if you want to have a taste of real Bangladeshi Food. Bhorta, Pui Shaak, Rui Curry, Kachki, Beef Kalabhuna, everything was perfect. Amazing taste and pricing.

I have ordered food from Neerob using ChefsRHere. Their food is quite tasty and the amount is reasonable. However, the quality of the beef pieces are terrible. Most of the pieces are either fat or bone. I had to throw out almost half of the pieces. If they take care of this issue, I think it would be a nice place to cater food from.

I’m sorry that I have to write this bad review after eating at Neerob about 20 times since I moved to the Bronx in July. But recently they have gone downhill and the owner has been a jerk. I’ll start with the food I got last night. Firstly, the chicken biryani I received had one decent sized piece of chicken and two small chunks. This is much less than I’ve received in the past. There was like a 80-20 rice-chicken ratio. That’s putrid. You can see the three pieces of chicken in my picture. There’s a little more rice left in the container with no more chicken. For $10 that’s outrageous. Secondly on this order, I feel sick. One of the pieces of chicken was not fresh and had an old taste. The other two were fine enough. Immediately I felt a stomach ache which is still with me now three hours after eating. So not only did I receive very little chicken, the chicken i did receive was spoiled. Other than todays order, the owner was rude to me a few weeks ago. For a while I had been getting biryani rice with no chicken and they were charging me $5 for a container of just rice. Fair deal. Then one day the owner said sorry it’s $7. I said but I had it for $5 10 times and he said 10 times we made a mistake with a negative tone. He was never negative with me before that and was always friendly. I don’t know what happened. Even last night he ignored me while another work served me the biryani. My last complaint is that two times I ordered tandoori chicken legs and they were rock hard. The other times I got it the legs were tender and tasted great. But those two times they were so hard. Almost as if they weren’t fully defrosted. Each of my three complaints here are based on differences from one time to another. Maybe a bunch of times the food was fantastic, fresh, didn’t feel sick. But I’m sorry you need to be consistent and also not have an attitude. And if I can’t trust that your food will be soft, fresh, and won’t make me sick then I’ll find another place

Once again… another excellent experience!!! We’re a fan of foods here at Neerob, particularly breakfast items. Took my elder sister’s family to try porotha, kalavuna, mix veggie and yummy paya… they LOVED it. Owner… Khokon has been nothing but a pleasant and entertaining person with great service having polite crews. Highly recommend so try it and hopefully you wouldn’t regret it!!!

Their food is delicious. Service is only good when owner is around. Owner is very good person. But the employees are very rude and their service is horrible. Specifically who works on the front. The lady told me it will take 10 minutes to give me a small container of sauce which is just front of her.

Update: 4 ⭐️ . This time around there were good amount of food (goat meat). White sweets and alu chops are really tasty. Previous: I went there yesterday. I purchased a lot of food for next few days of Ramadan. Unfortunately the goat curry had very less meat and all bones. I would say 90% bones, now you get the point! Those large boxes of goat curry were $18 each and I got a couple of those! The entire money was wasted… I had almost no food to eat for suhoor! Anyways, leaving 1 ⭐️

Yelp
This is a place for great food. They can prepare mouth-watering Golda chingri curry, Pabda machher jhol, Mug daal, Alu dom, sukto, multiple kinds of chops like vegitable chop, chicken or fish cutlet, traingular nimki and many others( all Kolkata style). I really like their take out food or catering for an event; a five star for these. You can discuss your need and they will prepare it for you. They deliver in time. Khokon babu, the owner is very helpful. The main chef, Mr. Tariq, is very knowledgeable and trained in Italian restaurant. A FIVE STAR for him. Price is very reasonable compared to the same food from good restaurant. Again a FIVE STAR. This is a small place for a sit down dinner. A three star for it. Overall it is a great place for Kolkata style food, really love it.

Yelp
We ordered catering from here for one of my pre wedding events and all the guests LOVED the food. We came here on a Sunday to do a tasting and the catering manager was so kind and helped us figure out how much food we needed for all the guests. They also offer delivery for a fee. We ordered samosas, chotpoti, paneer tikka masala, Bengali roast chicken, channa masala, rice, and firni. The samosas and chicken were an absolute favorite of the guests so much that everyone has asked where neerob is. We would definitely use them again in the future!

Yelp
Highly recommend! Fantastic food, friendly and attentive staff, great value. This is some of the best food to check out in the Bronx and citywide. The beef biryani was stellar.

Yelp
This Place is Unreliable!!!! I placed a door dash order around 7:04pm and it was saying Preparing the order. The Door Dash person got to the restaurant around 8pm and called me to tell me that they didn't have my order prepared because they didn't have none of the food I ordered and for me to Cancel the order. My thing is why did it take for the DoorDash person to get to the restaurant a hour later for them to tell her they couldn't make the food because they didn't have any of it. They wasted my time and the DoorDash person that had to drive all the way for no REASON, instead of them just canceling the order a way ahead of time. If they didn't have any of the food items they should have just closed the DoorDash machine. I apologize to the DoorDash person because I felt bad she had to drive all the way there. This is unacceptable. Do Better!!!

Yelp
The old Neerob restaurant was located at 2109 sterling av. The yelp page for it is https://www.yelp.com/biz/neerob-bronx. This was only bengali food and was written about in several newspapers for their outstanding food. Now the same restaurant is called "Neerob Restaurant & Halal Chinese" which moved a block away at 2096 Starling Ave, Bronx, NY 10462, which is this yelp page. They now serve both bengali and chinese food. Food is always halal. The new telephone # (718) 918-1234. The new website is https://neerob.com. Hope this helps the confusion. Neerob is not affiliated with the Al-aqsa restaurant which is located at the old Neerob location. I encourage lovers of old Neerob restaurant to write reviews on the new restaurant here.

Yelp
Wish I can give this place zero stars. Absolutely horrible and disgusted by this place. We went to grab a few items for iftar, they left out the kebobs we payed for. Next day we went and told them what happened and they did give the kebobs. there was a metal coil inside. Please see pictures for reference. Be careful what you get from here. Double check the food before eating and I would just avoid this place at all cost.

Yelp
You will find the freshest and most authentic Bengali food here. They also make Bengali Chinese which tastes amazing. This is my favorite Bangladeshi restaurant and I visit it quite often. They also have variety of pitas on most days which I love. If your looking to try Bengali food, look no further, this is the place.

Yelp
Great food, lots of varieties to choose from. One problem I did have was how oily some dishes were. Portions could be a little bigger. All in all not bad.

Yelp
Out if all the Bengali restaurants at sterling Ave I would have to say Neerob has the best customer service. The owner & manager are always welcoming and friendly. My husband and I went for breakfast and the owner was sitting down, the owner then walked toward us to say hi. The manager was also very welcoming & attentive. The food is very reasonably priced & taste good as well.

Yelp
I ordered food for my party and I planned picked it up 12.30. I picked up 3 big dish beef biryani , 1 big dish payesh and 1 big tree pakora . I picked up all of them 1.30pm. But when my party started at 2.00pm , all of the biryani had a bad smell and totally slippery rice like around 4 .00 pm , it was 100% sure It was cooked by 1-2 days before , the Payesh is like suger and rice mixed together, and Pakora is like peyajo and burned and seemed it was cooked 1-2 days before . That ruined my party and everyone got a stomach ache . What a shame ....... wish i give them 0 STARS .

Yelp
Really good Chinese food. They take some time but it's always fresh. Normal prices but a little tight with the quantity.

Yelp
It is a great place to enjoy home style Bangladeshi foods. All of their dishes are very delicious (every time I go there, their foods look scrumptious. Fresh salad, mixed varta and daal comes with lunch or dinner. This place is very nice and clean. I hope you will enjoy it.
