I was out early from work tonight so had to look up for late dinner at Wynwood but its packed, no parking and a lot of people still partying and celebrating halloween on this November 1st and Friday night.
Me and my son went to Negroni Bistro and Sushi at Midtown Miami an hour before they close.
We were greeted and seated promptly by the host. The server came after a few minutes. He took and served our drink order, Acqua Panna and Negroni, while we looked at the menu.
We ordered Calamari for appetizers and pastas for dinner. I had the Fettucine Tuna and Lemon and my son had the Crab Ravioli.
The Calamari is good, lightly salted and cooked perfectly.
We had to wait a long time for our entree's after the appetizer was cleared, it was too long I was writing this review while we wait.
Maybe check on us or the appetizer if its almost done so they can fire and cook our main course before we finish our appetizer. I do not usually mind waiting for the main course if the restaurant is busy but they were not busy at that time, there were a few tables occupied for dinner because it was late.
The Fettucine Tuna and Lemon was cooked aldente and you can savor the rich lemon taste of the lemon sauce of the pasta with a bit of Pecorino cheese. The Tuna Tartare on top was a nice touch and complements the pasta, so it is a nice meal.
The Crab Ravioli with sauteed shrimp was a bit salty, maybe because of the Saffron cream sauce and Gremolata.
Service was fine, could be better.
The ambiance was cozy, vibrant, inviting and have a warm atmosphere. A lounge type where you can hang out and chill at the bar or at their comfortable couches inside while DJ Daniella plays her set.
The warm dimmed lighting sets the mood for a relaxing atmosphere.
Went back to Negroni for brunch after shopping at Midtown today.
We were seated by our server and took our drink order.
We ordered the Truffle Fries for appetizer, Milanesa Napolitana and the Negroni Beef for lunch.
It took a while for the food to be served, and when it came, the appetizer and the main course came at the same time.
It was not busy at that time, there were only 3 tables total having lunch.
The Truffle Home Fries was okay, a bit salty. It was served with Parmigiano cheese so salt should not be generous in my opinion.
The Milanese Napolitana that I ordered turned out to be beef, it was supposed to be a breaded chicken or beef, with tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese served with fresh pasta according to the menu. I just ordered Milanesa to the server thinking it was chicken because as soon as I read Milanesa and chicken from the menu I stopped reading the rest of it. Maybe it was my fault for not saying my choice was chicken but the server didn't ask me to choose between chicken and beef.
The Milanesa was good, and the Negroni Beef which is a grilled 10 oz New York Steak was also good.
The ambiance of the place at daytime is also cozy, relaxing and have a laid back atmosphere.
Service was good except for the long wait, serving the appetizer and main course at the same time and not asking if the guest have to choose when they ordered something. If I knew they will give me a Beef Milanesa I should have ordered the New York steak instead.
Overall, it is good. Check it out!
