I was surprised at how good this place ended up being. I was given a GrubHub credit for work for a work from home lunch, and had my heart set on Indian food. This was the closest Indian place open to me with the highest rating, so I ordered and picked up.
In terms of timeliness, the order was ready before the scheduled time, which was good. Everything was closed due to covid but when I walked in to pick up the order, to my surprise it was a large venue with a parking lot and beautiful lobby area. There was a bar when you first walked in and the decor was beautiful, reminded me of the wat's in Thailand I visited, very traditional south Asian. Just for that when everything reopens, I definitely plan on returning for the lunch buffet.
The food was excellent. The tikka masala had a nice kick to it in terms of the spice factor (which I requested), and the flavor was full bodied and buttery smooth, which surprised me because normally I don't like butter, but (if it was truly butter I tasted), added a great smoothness to the dish, and the chicken was very tender. I even had enough of the sauce left over to skillet-fry some chicken breast later and pour the excess sauce over it for a second round. The naan was a bit rubbery but this happens to naan if you don't eat it literally within the first couple minutes of it being ready.
My main issue was the price- it was nice because I had a $15 credit, but I still had to pay almost $10 out of pocket to cover the rest. The tikka masala with rice was $18 in itself and the naan (which it doesn't come with) was an extra $5, which is kind of pricey in my opinion. It's worth it to me once in a while if you have a craving because the food was tasty and filling and especially because of that extra sauce for a second round, but I'd honestly go even more often if it was a bit more reasonably priced.
