WOW.
I love, loveeeee myself a Hometown diner for breakfast, and this was exactly my kind of place.
Stopped on my way out of town, cross-country driving from Ohio to Nevada and this was a perfect (and very filling) breakfast, perfect before my long drive! Just happened to be the morning of the Chiefs parade, too, so entertainment wasn't lacking either.
The place was pretty spacious for a downtown restaurant and it was pretty busy, too! A good sign of good food, I would say! The wait staff immediately came to the table with cinnamon rolls and coffee, and right away werre available to take our orders. Our waitress was kind and very helpful in choosing my breakfast, she was conversational and pleasant as well.
I ended up getting a classsic country breakfast with biscuit and gravy, bacon, sausage, hash browns, and eggs (over hard)--all of which was delicious, and all well cooked. Not hard, not squishy, perfect. And the gravy was absolutely delicious.
Side note: the tables have advertisements of neighborhood businesses and such, which makes me love this place even more!! Gotta support each other and the successes!
The cinnamon rolls were to die for, I'm wishing I brought some with me to Nevada!!
Definitely a place worth a stop. And at a good price, too! Thanks Neighborhood team!
