New Tijuana restaurant FinCa Celebrates Baja and California | Eater San Diego

"I found Neighborhood to be a craft-centric establishment that promotes artisan-brewed ales and spirits and handmade cuisine, encouraging intelligent consumption in a casual gastropub setting; their blurb also directs readers to a blog and Twitter for more information." - Mario A. Cortez

Google
I’ve been coming to Neighborhood for over two years now, and their drinks are truly unmatched. My go-tos are the matcha latte and the draft latte, both are consistently excellent, creamy and delicious. Their pastries are also worth trying, always fresh and tasty. The service is nice, not overly warm, but always professional and efficient. Recently, I tried their summer special strawberry matcha, and it did not disappoint! The flavor was refreshing and not overly sweet. Neighborhood has definitely become one of my favorite spots in LA for coffee and matcha. Highly recommend!

Google
Love this spot. It’s a small space but offers parking, and outdoor seating. As well as a variety of seasonal crafted drinks, and a great selection of pastries. I got the cinnamon roll and matcha donut which were delicious. As well as their draft latte which I always order at other places and enjoyed it. Their prices are pretty standard and I would highly recommend stopping by.

Google
I like the parking and the outdoor seating. I did not like my matcha latte with vanilla syrup. It just tasted like green oat milk. I couldn’t finish it.

Google
Their coffee latte is pretty good! And the almond croissant with plum jam inside from #sugarbloom is absolutely incredibly tasty!!! Thank you for making my Saturday 🙏

Google
Great espresso drinks, love their 3rd st latte with orange cardamom syrup. The patio is nice to work at in the morning when it’s shady. They also have a chia parfait that’s really good. Friendly baristas and a.big empty parking lot!

Google
Full service coffee / matcha in a tiny little nook. Really warm, welcoming service. Breathtaking coffee; superhero baristas.

Google
Very tiny shop on third Street Has plenty of outdoor seating and is a great place to sit under the sun. The menu is limited. The coffee, however, is delicious tastes, very creamy and Rich.

Google
Very good espresso tonic and enjoyed my latte today. Very flavorful cup of coffee. Quick service. Plenty of parking

Yelp
Aesthetic and vibey coffee shop in the Fairfax area! I visited the coffee shop for a mid day pick me up and my experience here was pretty good. I ordered the Banana Split Cream Top which was one of their Summer specials and it was good. The cold brew was sour, but it complemented well with the creamy and slightly sweet banana cream which wasn't too overpowering in flavor. There were also bits in the drink which I wasn't sure what they were and I was not a big fan of them, but it wasn't a deal breaker. I got the 9 oz which was $7. The portion was small for price, but it was still a decent amount that was enough o give me an energy boost. I especially loved the outdoor seating area which was shaded and vibey. The service was also good and quick. Overall, a good experience here. I was skeptical because I tried the matcha at a different location which wasn't good, but the coffee here is pretty good. I would come back again for another coffee drink.

Yelp
There's something so comforting about a good neighborhood coffee shop. This place has that rare "everyone knows your name" energy without feeling cliquey or overdone. The coffee? Smooth, rich, and roasted with care. I ordered a cappuccino and it was chef's kiss -- perfectly balanced and velvety with just the right amount of foam. Whether you're into espresso, matcha, or a latte they've got you covered. You can tell they take pride in the beans and the craft.

Yelp
it's ok, it's not particularly outstanding for a cafe and i wouldn't go back tbh staff are nice, there's a restroom inside but the seating is all outside. the day drinker specialty latte didn't have a strong vanilla taste imo and was basic

Yelp
Love love love. Amazing coffee, really enjoyed my cappuccino. Quality beans. Also somewhat inexpensive for LA standards haha. Nice little coffee shop with outdoor patio seating. Parking lot and street parking available. Two gentleman working were very friendly. Outdoor seating was a little wet from the drizzle, gentleman wiped down tables and seats for me because I wanted to enjoy the coffee here. Thanks buddy. Definitely would come back and recommend. They have some pastries on display for sale too. Will have to try them next time.

Yelp
Solid cup of black coffee! Tiny inside. Much larger outdoor seating. Menu is missing prices, wonder why? Visit their online ordering menu to get an idea much much the rest of their coffee drinks are. Limited parking lot shared with another establishment. Quick service if you only order black coffee.

Yelp
I was introduced to this place by my brother and his girlfriend and the drinks did not disappoint! I had a matcha and it's been the best one I've had in LA by far. I went the other day with my girl friends and we were not greeted well by the baristas. They seriously looked like they did not want to be there. The guy who took our order did not say a word to us. I work in customer service and I understand what it's like to deal with customers and people in general but it does not take much effort to create a welcoming and comfortable environment.

Yelp
Very cute coffee shop! Perfect place to grab a coffee and sit outside. We got the iced matcha which was the perfect amount of sweet.

Yelp
Obsessed with this little coffee shop off 3rd. Serving realllly good coffee + pastries. Their autumn latte (their take on a PSL) is easily my favorite autumn / pumpkin flavored latte I've had. They use real pumpkin & it's so good iced with their oat milk on draft. I even do an extra shot sometimes and the pumpkin flavor still shines through. Their pastries vary but they always have a nice selection of savory ones like ham & cheese, spinach and cheese & even kimchi + spam croissants plus a variety of sweet pastries and donuts as well. If you're looking for a solid coffee shop off 3rd, Neighborhood is your spot. They also have a location down the street off La Brea. I just love that this is my local spot.

Yelp
Great coffee but how about posting your prices on your blackboard? Service was fast and friendly with zero LA barista attitude. Try it out!

Yelp
Accidently came here to pick up an order instead of going to the La Brea location and I'm happy I did. It was a beautiful day today and the outdoor seating area is perfect to sit and chat or to catch some sun while reading a book. I would definitely come here after eating a meal in one of the nearby restaurants (This part of 3rd Street is perfect for walking, dining and shopping.) The bar area is small so there is not a lot of space for people to wait for their drinks. They do have a service window where you can exit from the bar to wait for your drink outdoors. The people who worked there were super-friendly and helpful as well as skilled at crafting the drinks. Now there are so many places to get good coffee but Neighborhood has some very unique lattes that makes me want to come back. It was hard to choose from the signature drinks. I was looking at the La Brea Latte (ginger and molasses), Como la Flor (Lavendar) and the Day Drinker. I ended up getting the Day Drinker after reading that the vanilla bourbon syrup was made with Maker's Mark. It was so decadent, delicious and refreshing ! One of the best vanilla lattes i have had. Neighborhood offers other grab and go drinks, pastries and food. Can't wait to come back to treat myself to another latte or matcha drink. Happy that this location is walking distance from my work although, please note that there is some parking.

Yelp
great experience at neighborhood! just went to grab a matcha before i went shopping, and they were so quick and efficient. the matcha was absolutely delicious and had such a good flavor. there was a lot of seating and it's in such a great area

Yelp
Popped in after my Saturday morning dance class and was greeted by friendly, welcoming staff. I ordered a vanilla latte and, on the barista's recommendation, the coconut donut. Both were delicious! The donut was perfectly sweet and paired well with my drink (& it was vegan!). Loved the super cute patio too. I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
The coffee is amazing. It's well made and tasty. The staff? No thank you. Especially the guy with the ponytail. They always look annoyed and like it's an inconvenience to talk to them. I used to come here a lot and realized other places are just as good but I don't have to leave feeling judged.

Yelp
I cannot express enough how much I love Neighborhood. The Day Drinker is one of the best vanilla lattes in LA, hands down. The bourbon vanilla syrup which they make in house is perfectly flavorful without being overly sweet. They have a non-bourbon version if you prefer. I'm also a big fan of the 3rd Street which is their housemade orange cardamom syrup. Don't knock it until you try it - I wouldn't assume an orange + coffee combination would be as good as this is! Not only is the coffee incredible, but so are the pastries. They're from Sugarbloom bakery which supplies fresh pastries to several coffee shops in the area. My all-time favorite is the Sesame Pretzel Croissant. It tastes exactly as good as it sounds, and I didn't even realize it was vegan and whole wheat the first time I had it. Which is saying a lot for a buttery tasting croissant! All of this on top of a great location (WITH PARKING?!!) and nice outdoor seating. Plus friendly staff, and adorable handmade ceramic mugs. It doesn't get much better than this. OH, and they don't charge extra for oat milk!! There's a reason Neighborhood is my favorite coffee shop ever.

Yelp
Draft latte. That's all I gotta tell you. No sugar added or anything else. Just the creamiest, airiest, draft latte I've ever had. It's made with oat milk and it's delicious. I love how they have filtered water station with real glasses. There's also a restroom. The "rice krispie" treat is really good too. It's in a cool low key spot in the corner, there's outdoor seating only, and you can order inside or through the window. One of my favorite spots in the neighborhood

Yelp
Service was nice and they weren't too busy. Easy parking right up front which helps. I was not wild by the coffee or desserts here, kind of a shame really. I always love supporting local businesses, but this was unfortunately not worth returning.

Yelp
This was my first time at this location and I was a bit disappointed. I got the day drinker latte. Both the espresso and vanilla bourbon flavor were lacking compared to the first time I tried it. If I'm treating myself to a $6.75 latte, I want it to be worth it. Customer service was just transactional, nothing negative. Cafe space to order is tight. Spacious outdoor seating. Visited on a late Sunday afternoon, so I was able to park in the parking lot. I would try it again, but I would be a little wary.

Yelp
Love this spot! I'm a local and there are a ton of coffee spots in the vicinity, however, I always choose neighborhood because: 1. Oat Latte on draft is SO good. My partner loves it so much too! 2. The pastries are out of this world!!! The pistachio raspberry danish is insanely delicious (me and my partner talk about the danish all the time ) and the pastry assortment always has really interesting flavor combos so it's a real treat to try out new options when the danish is sold out! 3. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly 4. Love the outdoor seating - it's really nice on a cool day! Quintessential SoCal outdoor living kind of vibe 5. It's never TOO busy, and its always pretty speedy. Never took more than a few minutes to get my coffee. 10/10 would recommend!

Yelp
Iced matcha latte was not great - I got it with lavender syrup and couldn't taste the matcha. Just milk and faint taste of lavender. Pesto danish however was divine. Maybe this place is best for its coffee. The team is friendly and offered quick service. Also there is no space to really sit indoors - but there is outdoor seating with many tables.

Yelp
Super cute coffee shop with excellent coffee. Nice little partially shaded patio. Parking available. They also happen to have one of the best looking baristas I have ever seen. If I lived here I would be a regular.

Yelp
People who Work Here are so super cool!!! I do have a coffee maker at home but, I just like to come to this Coffee House. Neighborhood!!! And their croissants, with a prosciutto, Cheese & cornichon! OH yeah O M G!! You must try it. It is Delicious!! I love cornichons

Yelp
Lovely baristas. Clean and welcoming outdoor seating. A must stop on our weekend morning walks.

Yelp
Ordered the iced La Brea Latte which consists of house made latte with organic ginger molasses at Neighborhood by The Grove is a standout. The coffee is expertly brewed, with the ginger molasses adding a unique, delightful twist. It's a perfect balance of rich espresso and subtly spiced sweetness, showcasing the café's dedication to quality and flavor. Staff was attentive and helpful. Fast service.

Yelp
Cute outdoor space. Very quick service. The pastries were a bit too adventurous in flavor for me but if you like savory and unique pastries this place is for you.

Yelp
Visited for the first time a few days ago and I loved it! A very sweet barista named Madison recommended the 3rd St. and it was delicious. Would definitely recommend!
google avatar

Cynthia L.

Yelp
Draft nitro latte was surprisingly good, added a bit of simple syrup with it and oat milk made it arguably more creamy that regular milk. Lemon poppy seed was INCREDIBLE, got one more to go as well as a cinnamon sugar cookie. Phenomenal combo!

Yelp
Great coffee they know what they are doing. Girls working there are very nice and sweet always. But what's up with the tall guy with mustache? His vibe is so rude and negative I don't need that in my early morning coffee. Please do something! Love your coffee guys

Desiree D.

Yelp
Neighborhood is my favorite local coffee shop!! I not only enjoy the coffee but the workers energy as well! I came into the shop today and felt so bad for this poor girl. Not sure if there was another worker or not, maybe on lunch? The shop was extremely busy and this poor girl was hustling. Despite how much she had on her plate all alone she had a great attitude the entire time. The shop seems fairly popular and I think in order to meet the demand there should be more workers. Not only to make the customers happy but the employees as well!

Yelp
Neighborhood is the newest coffee shop on 3rd Street located within the Beverly Grove area. Best part of having this new addition so close to my office is that they have their own parking lot - a rarity on this street. And considering how busy this area is, it makes for a definite plus. There is no inside seating. However, the outside area is rather spacious and shaded. You can order from the inside area or from the walk up window that faces the outdoor patio. Coffee is on point and they also have dry and refridgerated goods for purchase along with a wide selection of pastries. Glad to have another meeting location close to the office that offers free parking. I will definitely be scheduling more meet ups here.

Yelp
Excellent cortado and hot chocolate. Friendly staff. Beautifully designed sitting area. Highly recommend it.

Yelp
Great location, rich coffee, tasty food & friendly staff-whats not to love! Had a great Mexican coffee with just right medium roast chocolate flavor. The croissant was a delicious, spinach feta interior. The decor is semi-industrialand cool. The young lady who took care of me was icing in the cake- Bonus: parking lot next door!

Tony L.

Yelp
A great neighborhood find! Nice outdoor seating area, very nice employees and the BEST blueberry muffins in LA! Love their cold brew as well!

Yelp
Love this little coffee spot has a good nitro coffee and pretty good pastries. Good service as well.

Guanran G.

Yelp
regular latte, average level. quick response at the corner of the street. good atmosphere

Emily A.

Yelp
Cute outdoor vibe, I really think this place has a lot of potential! Shares a parking lot with the dispensary next door. Got a flat white with oat milk - was a little more watery/milky than I usually prefer, would love if they used beans with a stronger flavor to balance it out. Service was friendly and quick, will be coming again!
