I don’t usually do reviews but they deserve more recognition. I don’t usually like mac n cheese made by other people, but I decided to try this place. OMG is this delicious! The wings they were mad delicious. I asked for 5 wings, got 7 Customer service was even better. I got there 30 minutes before they were about to close, they kept checking up on me telling me when my order was ready and was even willing to give me a drink. Sweetest people ever! Definitely going again for mac n cheese

Let me start by saying this is a warm, family-owned restaurant that truly makes you feel at home. I've been coming here for a while now, and I have to say—the catfish is an absolute must-try! The turkey tips are tender, flavorful, and downright delicious. Overall, it's always a great experience. Picking up a plate here feels like getting a home-cooked meal from my grandmother. If I could give 10 stars, I would. Definitely a must-try spot!

Middle of the week between Christmas and New Year's Day I was far afield and hungry. Saw this smokehouse on Google Maps and beelined it there. Nobody inside at 1 p.m. but, considering the time of year, time of day & rain all morning, I'm not terribly surprised. There was some walk-in traffic picking up phoned in orders while I was there. Two booths and a long counter with stools are your indoor seating options. A picnic table outside is available if the weather permits. The nice lady at the window juggled the the in-person and phone orders smoothly with the people picking up. The food was good. Mac & cheese were spot-on, smooth and creamy. The collard greens were hot and tasty, well seasoned. The rib tips were delicious but either overcooked and crunchy or with those little round cartilage pieces in them. Bite with care. The spicy BBQ sauce is terrific, enough heat for me but not hot enough to turn people off it.

Went above and beyond to make sure the order was right. A mishap happened, but right away fixed it. Food is amazing of course. The customer service is top notch.

Me and the family just got back into town and wanted some good hot soul food. We tried another place before driving over to here. I’m definitely glad we did because everything was exceptional from the service to the food. My whitey was fried to perfection and the macaroni and collard greens were made with love. We will definitely be back.

First time I've ordered here and the food is absolutely fantastic. They give you a great portion for the price and he makes his own dry rubs/seasoning. If you're love BBQ I would suggest giving it a try.

First time trying neighborhood smokehouse and I would sadly give it one star. The portions were great for the price, however the greens had a foul odor that honestly smelled like someone bottom or that it had gotten old. Rib tips were dry little to no sauce— even the bread was still dry. Mac and cheese was bland and noodles seemed over cooked. Baked beans tasted like They had been marinated in bbq sauce alone. My only suggestion would be to be a bit more intentional about what’s being served to customers. Would be willing to try again as I have heard a good review from someone I know personally but, the review doesn’t match the meal I was given.
