"A multi-faceted food business founded by Kaiy Smith-Biesman and Hannah Said, Neighbors & Friends sells pastries, coffee, sandwiches, curated home goods, and specialty ingredients. The centerpiece is an interactive bar where customers can build custom spreads from a variety of cheeses and cured meats (including vegan and halal options), plus accouterments like olives, pickles, herbs, fruits, and nuts, and crackers or bread; the smallest size starts at $19. Food options beyond the build-your-own grazing platters include sandwiches such as a tuna melt and a caramelized onion and brisket grilled cheese, and desserts and pastries supplied by Eastside Cheesecake, Baker’s Bench, and the Very Best Cookie. Extensive coffee drinks are brewed using Said’s Saffron Cowboy brand, with offerings like cardamom cold brew and a Nutella latte, and alt-milk options such as almond and pistachio are made in-house.
