Matcha cappuccino taste like milk! Avacado toast I don’t think is worth the $12 , ambience is great though. There is no menu on display visible from the line, they have one right at the beginning of the line which is not very helpful.

Cute and simple menu, each item is delicious and has a unique twist. Environment is sunny and airy, clean and welcoming. Seating is first come first serve caffe style. A neighborhood gem!

My boyfriend and I came here as tourists and loved it so much we came back twice in 2 days! Definitely the best coffee we had in SF (and we’d tried a lot !), service was super friendly and great ambience too. We also ordered the cheese toastie with bacon on a whim, and it was incredible! In my boyfriend’s words, “toastie chef man absolutely knows what he’s doing”. Couldn’t recommend this spot more!

Neighbor's Corner is a hidden gem cafe on the hills of Eureka Valley. The shop is bright and cozy, the atmosphere is neighborly and relaxing, and the baristas are friendly and gentle, making the shop a great place to grab a cup of coffee, get some work done, or to meet up with friends. I stopped by a couple of times and had great experiences. The coffee, from the local roaster Hedge Coffee, is delicious; they can also be paired with a pastry or sandwich to make a great light meal. Overall, Neighbor's Corner is the neighborhood cafe that one will be lucky to have.

Google
Great coffee and ambiance. Music is a good level and acoustics are good enough so that I could read even with people’s chatter. Turkey avo sand tasted very healthy and was a good portion. Not the tastiest sandwich I’ve ever had, but still satisfying.

Google
Delightful cafe with superb coffee and excellent service in safe, quiet neighborhood. What a find! Started with Jenn who pleasantly took my order. Patrons were also friendly (shout to Nate and Scott). Barista Sarah is a master who prepared superb cappuccino and cortado; decaf cappuccino also fantastic. This establishment sells their coffee beans which we purchased and are now enjoying at home. My readers know this is big plus for me. Premises are clean, bright with large windows, art on the walls. Small outside seating for soaking up the sun. After a delightful walk to Kite Hill for expansive city views we returned to enjoy an artisanal matcha strawberry latte beverage elegantly crafted with homemade strawberry purée - another work of art by maestro Sarah who proudly described the process. This is a new favorite destination of ours for coffee in the Bay Area and beyond. Bravo!

Google
Favourite spot in the neighborhood. Amazing espresso, easily the best quality around here! Rich and juicy, strong mocha notes. Tasty breakfast sandwiches too. Great place to work remote - has some outlets too.

Google
one of my favourite cafés in san francisco. it make for a good lunch break on a hilly day hike from alamo square area. the espresso is usually very good but can vary, some times excellent and sometimes just okay - it seems to vary due to the blend from the roaster and the alternative milk they have at the time.. todays weekend visit was very good on the coffee and it was not overtaken with remote workers.. my only comment is sometimes when i go here it is like laptop lane at an airport with persons obviously remote working and taking a table for hours at a time and just buying a cup of coffee... most inconsiderate... please keep you visits to an hour or less if it is busy... ..well i am a little more understanding when students do this near a university, but it really gets annoying when you go to cafés and people treat it like it is their office.

Yelp
I absolutely love this place. It is one of my go-to cafe's in the city, especially since I am always in the Castro. The service is absolutely amazing. All the baristas that I have encountered are super nice. While I haven't tried everything on the menu, I can say that I do enjoy a lot of the drinks that they offer since I come here often. I would say everything that I have tried is really good. The pastries as well. The most critical I have to say is about the cappuccino. The cappuccino overall was okay for the day I had it. The espresso seamed to be dialed in to have a more medicinal notes, giving the cappuccino an aftertaste of Ricola Original Herb cough drops -- not my favorite. The milk I would say was also served too hot for normal cappuccino temperatures which may have contributed to the overall taste. I still enjoyed the drink, as this was not enough for me to reduce my rating. All other drinks I had were iced, so temperature had never been a problem and every drink that I had prior to this experience has been 10/10. This place is also really good for working. There are outlets in the corner, and internet is provided. I love the vibe of the cafe. The interior feels so welcoming, just as the staff.

Yelp
The cutest little coffee shop that feels like a true neighborhood gem! It's not on a busy street but instead nestled smack in the middle of a neighborhood with houses on either side. Adorable find. It is Japanese inspired so you will find menu items such as sandos, hojicha latte, black sesame latte, mochi muffins, etc. with basic items as well. I enjoyed the Tokyo fog latte and breakfast sandwich here! I also tried hojicha latte for the first time, this wasn't my favorite (personally) although it was made well with good hojicha flavor and nuttiness. It does get crowded and hard to find a seat -- really a neighborhood favorite where people come to work or chat and stay for a while!

Yelp
Super cute hidden gem in San Francisco in residential area close to twin peaks! Tried the black sesame matcha and cortado. Both were pretty good. The black sesame matcha had good black sesame flavor. It had a bit of an oily from the black sesame flavoring but it wasn't off putting. Just towards the end of the drink it got grainy and a little displeasing to finish. The cortado was fragrant, strong, and flavorful. Really delicious. They have pastries from the midwife and baker, loquat, and mochi muffins from third culture bakery. We got the carrot cake and matcha mochi muffins and they were really good. I wish they had savory pastries but all the ones they had were sweet. Their sandwich menu sounded a bit basic and was pricey so we opted out. The place was packed when we got there around 11am on a Wednesday, but we were lucky enough to get a table with outlets. So many people were doing work here. Had good sunlight and natural lighting with great modern aesthetics and vibes. Clean and reliable cafe good for productivity. I think it would also be nice for a casual catch up with friends as a few people were also hanging out and chatting. I didn't mind the background noise as I worked. I would recommend checking this place out! I had a really good experience and would definitely love to come back.

Yelp
Really cute spot in Euraka Valley! We came on a Saturday morning and they were extremely busy - all the tables were full. My review is more for their strawberry matcha, which was surprisingly very sour and lacked in matcha flavor. I wish they sweetened the strawberries a bit more. Neighbor's Corner also had a wide selection of pastries (mochi muffins from Third Culture). We got an almond croissant, black sesame mochi muffin, and lemon donut - all were good.

Yelp
Great tasting third wave coffee, both drip and espresso drinks. I went several times during my visit. The environment is comfortable but limited. The staff are friendly, way nicer than Ritual a few blocks away. The food looked good but I did not try.
google avatar

Yelp
TLDR: Cozy busy spot with good sunlight and Japanese inspired drinks Came looking for a new study spot, would definitely recommend neighbor corner! Only issue is it gets crowded easily but love the drink options and space. Will be back!
google avatar

Yelp
A neighborhood joint for coffee, tea and small bites, with a nice Japanese twist. Price is a bit steep, although the quality of foot and drink is great. Probably not the best value, but for the convenience, as it opens early, 7am Mon to Friday, 8am on the weekends.
google avatar

Michael C.

Yelp
I came by on a Friday morning to get some work done. Wasn't super busy at first (~9 AM) and there were a choice of seats, but in 30 minutes, the place was completely packed and super busy. The space also isn't huge, so it does get pretty noisy and crowded; wouldn't recommend if you're looking for a more chill quiet area. I got a cortado, and it was great. Really well pulled steam milk (the art was beautiful), which lent a great mouth feel. Coffee was solid too. Overall, super solid spot. Definitely pretty far out there, so feel like it's a spot that locals frequent (saw a ton of home brought mugs). Still definitely give it a go!
google avatar

Erica Y.

Yelp
Had a turkey club sandwich and an iced latte. The greens in the sandwich were so fresh, and the cheese in it matched the flavor profile of the whole sandwich so well. The ambience is super cute. There's little things you can buy, and folks reading books, catching up with each other, and things like that. The service was great! I thought the guy who made my sandwich was so sweet and I could tell he takes pride in his work!

Yelp
Tried a black sesame matcha latte for the first time here and it was delicious. Nice spot with lots of folks on their laptops. Sadly they were out of mochi muffins that day, but they had some other pastries that looked good. Would definitely come back.

Yelp
7:15am, Monday I really like the Japanese vibe & food here & was determined to get here before the laptop encampment. Mission accomplished, probably due to the cold rain storm. Ordered my usual, Avocado Toast & bacon. This time I bought a pack of Roots & Craft Wakocha, a Japanese tea made of green tea leaves, notes of brown sugar. First time I had it I was convinced they added sweetener. Nope. Cue the steamed milk, call it a London fog, I call it perfection. Speaking of, the bacon. Strips of still a bit chewy center cut. Nice touch. The plate was garnished with a pickled carrot & cauliflower sprig. Oh yeah, the main event. Avocado was ripe (a rarity), garnished with some chili flakes. Not my favorite bread, too big for the portion of avocado. Ok, I'm assuming most people like the bread, I prefer San Francisco sourdough, doesn't compete with the mild green fruit. This crabby gourmet admits I'd come here again when I wake up crazy early. Otherwise people have to join the line for takeout. Just looked up, 8am the laptop squatters nursing their almost empty coffee cups, have taken up every seat. I barely missed the previous 3 star experience. I don't understand how this cafe survives. Come on people, at least buy something & get the hell out when someone needs a seat. I know, lost cause. Anyway, Support Local!

Yelp
A cute cozy cafe on the corner. Went on a Thursday afternoon and all the tables were filled up. A great place to chat with friends or get some work done. Drink/Food Ordered: Hojicha Latte - Hot (9/10): one of the better hojichas I had in the city. It was creamy and not watered down with a rich hojicha flavor! I do wish it came in a larger cup, but that's my own preference. Avocado Toast (8/10): I was hoping for their Japanese Tamago Sando but they were out that day. I got their avocado toast and was pleasantly surprised with how delicious it was! The boiled egg was a bit disappointing as it wasn't the full egg and a little dry, but the toast itself was good. I definitely plan on going again and trying out other items while enjoying the atmosphere.

Yelp
The first time I tried this place I ordered a black sesame latte because I thought it sounded so good. When I got it, it didn't have any espresso. The milk was good but the fact that it was called a latte made me think there would be espresso in there. Because that was my mistake, I wanted to give the place a second chance because the vibe was really cute and I liked the location. This morning I ordered two lattes and I asked if the hot one could possibly be made with no foam. I work in specialty coffee so I know that it's absolutely doable but I still like to ask. The person that took my order was really rude and made a judgement face but agreed. I was wanting to order a pastry as well but they just very quickly asked for my name and turned the iPad around for me to pay. The latte they made was automatically made in a 10 oz cup and they didn't nearly fill it to the top. Such a bummer because I wanted to like this place and was excited to find a new place to frequent.

Yelp
The only cafe I could find that had a relatively easier location for parking, nice seating/vibes, and both matcha and hojicha. Their matcha and hojicha were both super, and the ham and egg breakfast sandwich was also pretty solid. Chocolate croissant, good flavor but don't forget to ask for it heated up! It is a quaint room inside for the amount of customers they regularly have, although we were lucky to find a table open up for 3 last minute. It was super packed on a Saturday morning -- definitely not a quiet cafe. The staff are super helpful and friendly! They have some dessert options like matcha basque cheesecake that I'll have to try next time.

Yelp
A true little gem! Stumbled in today and didn't know it was a Japanese owned cafe. I was super excited to have a Hojicha latte but the tea was on order from japan. Met one of the owners who overheard me talking about the Hojicha and she was from beppu! A super cool town I just visited in japan a few months ago. She was super sweet. The tamago sando and the turkey club were super fresh, high quality and Oishi! Wonderful bright ambiance, clean and lots of seating. Really can't wait to return and support them. Five stars!
google avatar

Sylvia Y.

Yelp
Cute neighborhood cafe. I got a cappuccino and it came out quickly. Service was friendly and efficient. It was hard to get seating as people tend to linger but if you're able to grab a seat, it's definitely a nice spot to chill and hang out for a while. It looks like they have an offering of looseleaf teas as well so I would be back again to try that.
google avatar

Ajay K.

Yelp
Stopped by here after a workout class nearby and got the breakfast sandwich. This is more of a sit down and take your time cafe - don't come here if you're in a rush. And it's totally worth taking your time here - the cafe is sunny and bright and also quiet enough to work out of. The sandwich came out exactly as described and was delicious. The staff were also friendly and I look forward to coming back here to try their matcha.

Yelp
Such a cute neighborhood spot located in the hills near the Castro! It was definitely a bit hard to get to but it did not disappoint once I was there. The space inside is so clean with lots of natural lighting. There were lots of people on a weekend afternoon. They have many Japanese options and teas. We got the Okinawan kokuto latte and hojicha latte. I wish the drink flavors would've been stronger but still really good!!!

Dave R.

Yelp
Cute local coffee shop with decent amount of tables and nice vibe (although tables fill up fast). I ordered a matcha and breakfast sandwich, which were both below average for SF standards. I would have given 4 stars but the staff was not very friendly. No issues with the WiFi.
google avatar

Sarah C.

Yelp
japanese-inspired cafe with some cool items but black sesame matcha latte was quite lacking in my opinion. the black sesame wasn't very flavorful and the matcha was basically overpowered and the oat milk used was so watery. the everything croissant seemed interesting but was out by 10am
google avatar

Neil V.

Yelp
Cute cafe tucked away near Castro. The interior/decor was real cutesy. The tables were kinda close to each other so it felt cramp especially when there's an influx of patrons. I got the matcha latte which was pretty mid but it did the job!
google avatar

Foodie L.

Yelp
Great working space, with natural sunlight and great matcha/Japanese inspired menu. Although, service was quite the opposite you would expect for this type of cafe. Japanese culture is very polite. Shorter white passing guy with curly hair was quite rude. Other workers seemed to be kind, although they aren't the ones who helped me out. Curly haired guy makes the cafe and its values look bad unfortunately. I wanted to order a couple pastries to go with my drinks, but he made me so uncomfortable I just stopped ordering. Maybe cause I'm not white? Who knows.

Yelp
Absolutely looooved Neighbors corner! Stayed nearby for a work trip for a week and we had our breakfast here every morning. It was the best start to our day and we enjoyed the California sun while eating some lovely breakfast. Sitting outside we had the best people and dog watching spots! Matcha lattes were delicious and prepared traditionally. All the food was delicious too! I loved the breakfast sandwiches on Japanese milk bread. It wasn't too heavy or filling and was flavorful without but being overwhelming. The persimmon mochi was a pleasant surprise because usually I'm not a fan of persimmon. But they made it the perfect texture and sweetness. I also loved the atmosphere - it was small so always full, but it was great to feel welcomed by the neighborhood. Service was excellent too! The baristas were so thoughtful and nice. The only thing making this review shy of a 5 star is that they messed up the bread choice a few times for our sandwiches but it was no big deal! Everything still tasted delicious. It was a lovely family owned business and I appreciated that the Japanese fusion was authentic!

H O.

Yelp
Service is ok. Ambiance is straight forward. Chocolate is great. I recommend the s'mores, chocolate pretzels, and the passion fruit.
google avatar

Andrea R.

Yelp
great vibes! a little out of the way but it was worth the journey over. we got the japanese black sugar latte and the strawberry matcha. the coffee was delicious, maybe on of the better lattes i've had in the city. the matcha wasn't as strong as we normally like. it tasted more like strawberry milk than matcha to us.
google avatar

Shireen K.

Yelp
Japanese vibes in that there is precision and quality in everything they do down to the bathrooms and tables. This coffee shop is wonderful.
google avatar

Deepthi T.

Yelp
Neighbor's Corner is worth the hike up to Eureka Valley location. I enjoy their espresso drinks and their grilled cheese with tomato on the seed bread. It's very hard to find a seat during peak hours, especially on the weekend, but worth the wait!!

Yelp
Came to this coffee shop for a quick pit stop before heading to Tahoe. Our cousin suggested this spot saying it's his favorite coffee shop in the neighborhood. I was sold when he mentioned matcha. Upon entering the shop, I noticed the menu which was heavy on green teas and hojicha. I played it safe and ordered an Iced Matcha Latte and order the Matcha Strawberry for the hubby. I loved both drinks. The matcha was delightful. The one with strawberry puree added a nice sweet taste and texture. The staff was super friendly and pushed out drinks in a timely manner. I quite enjoyed the gal in the back who brought out a weight scale to measure out the matcha. All in all, I was very impressed. If I'm ever in the area I will definitely be going back for a cup of matcha.

Maya N.

Yelp
Very charming, corner coffee shop. I love how communal it feels, as it draws in many people, whether they're here to work or chat. The staff is really attentive, kind, and prompt. Dinged a star because the matcha strawberry is just okay (there's not much added sugar, which is fine with me, but there isn't much flavor). Nonetheless, very happy to have stumbled in!
google avatar

Joan W.

Yelp
This is the cutest most obscure café. It's not around anything else really so a true neighbor's corner. I discovered it hiking the nearby Douglas stairs which is one block away. It's also a few blocks from the Jungle Stairs. I don't think many people come here unless they live in the immediate neighborhood but it's worth making a trip if you are into green tea or matcha. They have about 6 different green tea drinks. My favorite is the strawberry matcha drink. The sweet strawberry blends well with the more bitter matcha. I just wish they opened later. They close at 3pm which seems too early.
google avatar

Cherylynn N.

Yelp
When the staff is as cold as the mediocre iced matcha latte.... Just transfer some those vibes over here because baby, it's hot outside! I'm always on a hunt for a good Hōjicha Latte which lead me to Neighbor's Corner. It's nestled up in the hills in Noe in a very residential area. Unless you live in the area or GPS lead you the wrong way, you probably would have never known there's a cafe there. What drew me to Neighbor's Corner is they're a modern cafe with a Japanese flair - good selection of Japanese teas, tamago sando, and they even have daifuku on some days. It *seemed* like a hidden gem. It was an unusually hot day in the city so I wanted to grab a cold drink after running errands on Church street. It took several rounds to find parking so more of a neighborhood spot. Arrived to the cafe to staff staring blankly at me. I asked for an Iced Hōjicha Latte and was told "we don't have hōjicha today". So, I ordered an Iced Matcha Latte w/ oat milk ($6.50): https://tinyurl.com/msb22w46. The ratio of matcha to oat milk was off. The cup was filled nearly to the rim with milk and capped off with matcha so it ended up too milky and bland. In the pic, it's not mixed yet. The biggest turn off was the vibe. It seemed cold and pretentious. Maybe the staff was having a bad day. Or, maybe they're nicer to regulars...
google avatar

Jessica O.

Yelp
Neighbor's Corner is the cutest little locally owned coffee shop situated literally at the corner of quiet residential streets. It's always a bustling spot, definitely a popular spot among everyone in the neighborhood. It's usually a bit difficult to actually get seating, but I don't mind just taking everything to go. The interior is very cute, open, and bright. The staff are always helpful and friendly, and they put so much care into everything they make. I like their chai latte with almond milk, it's a spicy chai which I love! Out of the pastries, I like their walnut sticky bun, croissants, and their mochi muffins. My boyfriend usually gets their breakfast or veggie sandwiches and they are always made with fresh ingredients and high quality bread. I'm going to be moving away from the area soon and I'll definitely miss stopping by!
google avatar

Sam M.

Yelp
I almost don't want to write this review because of how much of a true hidden gem this little cafe is. It has the nicest people working there who really make it the perfect neighborhood coffee spot. The matcha cappuccino here is always perfection - hot or iced - and their coffee (hedge) is pretty good too. The turkey sandwich has always been reliable - nothing fancy, just turkey some cheese and lettuce (maybe tomato and mayo?) on whole wheat slices - comforting is probably the best way to describe it. They have free Wi-Fi too!
google avatar

Shelley P.

Yelp
Probably the most accurate name for this coffee spot - it's a cute little corner tucked away in a residential neighborhood and it truly feels like all the customers are from right nearby. Besides that, it's so nice having a Japanese coffee shop in SF (I don't know another one) - it has the nicest cozy and soft ambience (seems to always be bathed in warm sunlight), magazines to read, and delicious drinks (love a good hojicha latte). They seem to have different desserts on rotation every time I go; I haven't tried many but if you see the basque cheesecake you better snatch it up (so creamy but light). It's quite busy on the weekends at least, but usually easy enough to find a spot to catch up with friends or get work done (spotted some outlets too).
google avatar

Megan B.

Yelp
The coffee here is great, I always get my espresso ground here and they're quick and delicious. The interior is very cute but always crowded and people camp out all day, so don't plan on sitting. There is a member of the staff that was quite rude on my first and last two visits. They would not reply to me and basically tossed the iPad at me to pay... other than that the store manager is quite kind.
google avatar

Kev B.

Yelp
Neat lovely Japanese coffee shop cordially serving expertly crafted espresso drinks from fresh roasts along with delish bites
google avatar

Namratha P.

Yelp
This is such a cute cafe that's a great spot for hanging out or working! They have a lot of drink options from coffee to a wide range of teas and also have food. I got an iced vanilla latte and veggie club sandwich and both were great. They also have outlets so it's a perfect spot to get some work done!
google avatar

Hanganh V.

Yelp
I LOVED this cute little cafe, it truly is a neighbor's corner. Everyone working there was so kind, the food and drinks were top notch, and the majority of the seats had outlets! They also had super cute merch that I'll have to splurge on next time I go. Good WiFi, limited seating, but even better vibes and service. The woman serving me was very accommodating when I asked what her favorite drinks were and she explained the special brown sugar latte to me very nicely. Only note is it's 50 cents for alt. milks like oat (which imo isn't bad at all) and that they close at 3. A lovely place to do work, have a drink, or just vibe. It seems like a family operation or at the very least a very tight knit and thoughtful crew working together. Can't recommend enough
google avatar

Flint W.

Yelp
I left SF a year ago and this coffee spot is what I miss the most. The coffee was top notch, the service excellent and friendly, the vibe was chill and usually playing jazz.

Liz V.

Yelp
It's my go to coffee and matcha shop. On top of that they make delicious sandwiches and great selection of pastries. Plus, a very friendly staff. I would recommend this place
google avatar

Mr G.

Yelp
UPDATE: I happened upon this shop a few months ago on a very cold morning and alas there was a parking space. I was perhaps enamored with the bright light and location. Yesterday I returned...parking was easy again-go figure! The coffee? Expensive. SOUR. This seems to be a trendy SF taste. Then the barista did not even speak to me as she took my order? Perhaps I don't have a trendy SF face (I don't). There are other places that have coffee more to my taste and more to my face.

Yelp
Great ambiance at this adorable neighborhood coffee shop. ordered a cappuccino and an espresso. Everything was yummy!! They serve some breakfast items as well. Place had a fabulous bacon smell when we walked in.

Yelp
Try the Hojicha latte and the homemade fruit mochi on the weekend! I love coming to this local cafe.

Yelp
Neighbor's Corner was a cute little coffee shop find in San Francisco. My boyfriend and I had been walking around and exploring the city and found this along the way. My bf got a latte and I got a cold brew coffee with some almond milk. I would say the coffee was overall okay. Not drop-dead sugary but fairly bitter as well. I usually prefer the more sugary stuff, but I wasn't disappointed. My bf got a bagel and I got a mochi donut with frosting on it. My donut was very interesting. It had some chewiness, like mochi. The flavor was deelish. I can't quite remember what the flavor was, but it was good! Neighbor's Corner is located on a corner. In the time of covid, they don't really have any seating inside so we just found some stairs nearby and enjoyed our goodies. I liked Neighbor's Corner, but I would probably try to find some other coffee shops next time I visit SF. 7/10 recommend

Yelp
Fuck you Neighbors. Today, a Saturday morning, I walked in to order 4 cups of coffee and pastries to go only to be berated for coming in early, eight minutes prior to opening. They had the door open and they look as if they were open, but they were upset that I come in to try to order coffee. Frustrating. Not the attitude I appreciate. Especially from a neighbor dow. The street. Screw you Neighbors.

Yelp
Love the Japanese/ Japanese inspired menu here. Great location with lots of folks in and out on a weekend morning. Space to catch up with a friend, read, work, or just enjoy your sips and bites. Merch is hip and decor is cool. There is a bathroom available. Woman owned!

Yelp
a cute and quaint cafe located in noe valley. i love that this cafe offers hojicha since i don't see that around often. the strawberry matcha latte was creamy and the strawberry purée added a nice sweetness. the staff was very friendly and pleasant to chat with. the interior has a minimal and cozy aesthetic. will definitely be back!

Yelp
Amazingly authentic neighborhood cafe that does things right. Everything is top quality...service, product, ambiance;hands down the best in Noe Valley. The most interesting, top of the line Sencha, Matcha and Coffee, mochi doughnuts, mochi muffins, yummy pastries, vegan muffins, bagels and fresh plant or animal based delicious sandwiches served on fresh bakery bread..dog/kid friendly with unique gifts for sale as well.
