We happened to stumble in off the street just when we were craving some noodles. My husband had the shoyu ramen and we both thought the broth was great! I had the jigae and it was such a treat to try something I have been trying to find for a while now. The perfect bit of spice and flavor.

I had high hopes for this place, but was actually rather disappointed with both noodle dishes that we tried. The pork belly shoyu ramen broth was really bland and the pork was a bit tough. The additional kimchi definitely helped. The shrimp coconut spicy curry laksa was even more disappointing given that there was only one shrimp cut in half! We made a comment to the host, who said that unfortunately this was the recipe as developed by Edward Lee but that they could give us more in a separate bowl (we just said no thank you that’s fine if that’s the way it’s meant to be…). Perhaps they are just figuring things out, but I hope the offerings improve - it’s a nice concept and I was looking forward to it as a new addition to my neighborhood.

Had the Pork Belly Shoyu Ramen with 7-minute Egg. Plus kimchi. Really really delicious. Will definitely get this again. Daughter had the Fried Chicked Katsu Burger looked really good. She said it was yummy.

Not much for service front of house. Only 1 worker, other customers came in and waited. Ended up leaving due to no service. TOGO Online was great though. Recommend Spicy Curry Laksa and wings were great starter Thanks Chef

Google
Just an outstanding experience all around. Loved the intimate countertop seating (with open windows for the gorgeous weather), the service was excellent and the food delicious!

Google
Well decorated space, love the mural. Came by for carry out on a Wednesday night 40 minutes before close and the staff whipped up my order very quickly. The shoyu ramen did not meet my expectations--hardly any broth in the to-go bowl and no toppings except corn and non-marinated eggs--it was very bland.

Google
Small menu, small space but food was good. My friend got the Bu-Dee Jigae and wasn’t a big fan so the waitress was nice enough to let her try something else. I got the Taiwanese Beef Noodles and enjoyed it. 🩷

Google
The pork belly ramen was EXCELLENT! ( I took it to go) - egg and pork belly perfectly cooked! Broth was a umami flavor I crave! Can't wait to go back.

Yelp
Checked out Neighbors Noodles. Chef Lee's noodle shop project. Easy casual just simple noodle dishes that packs a punch in . All I wanted was the cold sesame noodles for a hot summer afternoon. Loved it. The smashed cucumber with seaweed salad was a home run too... totally asian And best part - everything came out real fast .

Yelp
I've been anticipating this noodle shop opening so I ran over as soon as I could! We met up around 5:30, no line/wait. The 80s music was bumpin and the staff was super friendly. After patiently answering all our questions, they happily took our order. We went for chicken dumplings, chicken wings, pork belly ramen, black bean noodles, and the yellow coconut curry. A lot of food but we ate it ALL. The inside is cute, great mural and fun bar seating. We opted to sit outside though because we needed a table to sit at with the little (who loved the food by the way!). Can't wait to go back, just what the neighborhood needed.

Yelp
Excellent food. I had the pork belly ramen and I believe it's the best I have had. It's a very little place where you will sit at the bar or a counter. Think of it like a purpose built home in the wall, but very clean and neat. Highly recommended.

Yelp
In one word: Yum!!! Was craving some good ramen and got more than I expected. The pork belly miso ramen was so good, I think I may have inhaled it. Though it did not say the broth was spicy, indeed it was. The broth tasted like a warm, comforting hug. Probably good, as the inside of this restaurant was as cold as a walk in freezer. (Probably the only negative part of my experience). Seating is casual, on barstools around the counter or window counter. Service was friendly. And prices are reasonable. Looking forward to trying more.

Yelp
We came here before a LouCity game and thought it was wonderful. We both had some ramen and it was delicious! We loved the size and comfortability of the shop, there was a perfect place with large windows that opened, where you could people watch Nulu. The meat in the ramen was cooked perfectly. We especially loved the flavor combinations. I don't know if it was because it was new or a typical Friday night. But for the amount of people in the shop, it did seem that everyone was waiting a while. Worth the wait, just make sure you are not in a rush!

Yelp
So good! This dish is a small symphony with noodles, kimchi, bacon, some chewy little rice cake thingy that I found fascinating, and teeny shrooms. Loved it

Yelp
The food was so good!!! The shrimp curry was so delicious. The staff was very kind and quick service. Not too quiet but decent ambience. Small space but filled with amazing food!

Stephanie P.

Yelp
Service is good and the restaurant looks nice. They got cute skinny glass cups for the ginger ale from the tap. If you're looking for a place that serves authentic ramen then I wouldn't recommend this place at all. The ramen broth was a huge let down. It lacks flavor. The broth was just so BLAND. Definitely not worth $16.5. The sesame cold noodles was redeemable. It was just noodles and peanuts... tasted a little vinegary but still fine. I feel like you can just make this bowl for less than $5 opposed to paying $14.75.

Stacy G.

Yelp
Okay, but disappointing for Ed Lee. The shrimp curry did not have much flavor and the peanuts in it were stale. I was one of only two people here at dinner time. Things will have to change if they are going to make it and I hope they do, NuLu needs a good ramen spot.

Yelp
Overall experience: 3/10. Food: 1/10. Ordered chicken wings, dumpling, and ramen. Chicken wings and dumplings were okay. It was still enjoyable. However, ramen was sadness. I am not sure if they intended to make it as "healthy" but it did not have any flavor whatsoever. The noodle did not have any flavor nor the soup. Service: 7/10 People working here were nice and kind. Just an average service that you'd get from other restaurants. Ambiance: 8/10 This is a tiny cute bar. I liked how the interior was set up. Has a cute ramen painting on the wall and connected to Nami. Overall, I would not go back to this restaurant. Though everything was pleasant but I was immensely disappointed with the quality of food. I do not like to compare other restaurants but if I had to go to a ramen place in Louisville, I would rather just buy an instant ramen noodle or go to ramen house.

Yelp
We dropped in for pre-movie noodles, and were delighted! We had the cucumber salad, and then our noodles. So so so good!!! My spouse had the shrimp and tofu curried noodles, and loved it! Perfect amount of spice. Well balanced. So happy to have a great noodle spot downtown!!!

Ross P.

Yelp
Just....Don't do it. And thank yourself later. It's really pretty awful. It's operated by Edward Lee - so the whole exceptional badness was really unexpected. Shrimp curry noodles with one (yes, one) shrimp. And pork belly bowl that was tough and chewy.

Larry C.

Yelp
The chicken dumplings were amazing! The pork belly noodle bowl was very good as well! Great addition to Butchertown
