Thomas Keller’s Hudson Yards Restaurant TAK Room Shouldn’t Have Opened in the First Place | Eater NY

"The luxe department store Neiman Marcus served as the anchor tenant for the Hudson Yards mall, and its loss as an anchor underscored the economic fragility of the development once malls were shut under COVID-19 regulations." - Ryan Sutton

Aside from the one kind female associate in Home Furnishings who was willing to help but busy with other clients and extremely apologetic she couldn't, the service here is extremely poor. I came in with a gift return, and not a single associate was willing to help. While I understand they don’t earn commission on gift returns, ignoring customers and passing them around with visible annoyance is unacceptable for a store of this caliber. After about 15 minutes, I finally convinced a reluctant associate to assist. He had to call the manager because the return was outside the policy window. The manager ultimately declined to process the return, which I completely understood and had no issue with. What was disappointing was his curt, dismissive attitude—it made it clear why the staff behaves the same way. He showed no courtesy and zero interest in feedback. I regularly shop nearby at Artigiano, where service is consistently able and beyond. Until this location of Neiman Marcus addresses its customer service and management training, I’d recommend taking your business elsewhere. It's no wonder customers are increasingly taking their business online.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. My experience with Yousy Rico Aguilar in the shoe department was the worst customer service I have ever received. From the moment I tried to exchange shoes Valentino Garavani that clearly didn’t fit, she treated me with disrespect, acted bothered, and offered zero real assistance. She gave me the wrong size twice, made me feel as if requesting an exchange was something wrong, and even told me I “shouldn’t expect so much” because accepting the return was “a favor.” I had to speak with the manager twice just to be helped. She also rushed me while choosing a replacement, telling me to “hurry up” because she had to go to lunch. Completely unprofessional. I will never shop at this store again, and I strongly recommend avoiding this associate. My experience with her was unacceptable.

I have been a client for a while now but this store is only good for clothing, jewelry and shoes. If you want to get a bag from the Chanel kiosk the service is HORRIBLE. I have been wanting an specific bag that I know is sold out and I have been in the waiting list at other boutiques and when I came here this morning I didn't even ask for the bag I just asked them how I can get it and for them to explain how they work at this store specifically and they gave me the WORSE ATTITUDE. I asked them if I can get on the list and they simply said they don't do lists and later on they said we have a reservation list for the upcoming season so I asked ok how do we proceed with that what colors are coming and instead of telling me she said "you need to watch the runway show" is this lady insane? not only it is clear she doesn't even know the colors of this season herself (I don't either I don't watch the show and I am not interested in watching it either I just want a damn bag in the color I want) but how rude can you be?? UPDATE: After their quick response here, they never replied to the e-mail they asked me to send? SMH. This reaffirms, if you want a luxury experience, definitely avoid coming here

Daniel B.

Google
My favorite department store in town. I come by often and always enjoy the shopping experience with my trusted advisor in the Men's department. The Chanel department on the 1st floor is also very welcoming and creates an enjoyable and headache-free shopping experience. I could spend the entire day in the jewelry department, everybody there is incredibly friendly and helpful. As for this store, alterations are easy and consistent, ordering over the phone is hassle-free, and it is always a pleasure to come here.

Google
Neiman Marcus Coral Gables is a beautiful, well-curated store with friendly, attentive staff and a stylish, welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant is a hidden gem—perfect for lunch or a shopping break. It’s hands-down the best place in Miami to shop for elegant Christmas decorations. The men’s department is impressive, offering a great mix of designer brands and an excellent shoe selection. A top-tier shopping experience all around.

Google
Great selection of luxury brands but subpar customer service. I saw plenty of other customers receiving the service I wish to be receiving while purchasing a pair of $900 Valentino sandals. I was looking around for a solid 10-15 minutes without even being greeted or asked if I needed any help. I had to ask one of the store associates to try a pair on and he seemed like I was bothering him & wasting his time. He continued to hover over me as I was trying them on without even asking how they fit, how i liked them, etc….not even a 0thank you” or have a “have good day” as I purchased them. Next time I will buy directly from the designer themselves as this was a very disappointing experience. I have shopped at plenty of designer boutiques and have always been treated as anybody else did, but my experience was far from that here. I love the item, but I almost have buyers remorse from the interaction I experienced from the sales associate here. In my experience, buying luxury goods also comes with the shopping experience you receive when doing so and I am very disappointed with my experience here.

Carlos René C.

Google
Gorgeous luxury retailer, I love the interior designs, fashion and taste of everything in this store. The designer world is in your hands and you can live the experience giving yourself the treatment you deserve with goods you like. In Christmas the ornaments and flowers are stunning.

Google
I shop here frequently and I am constantly snubbed by store associates until I turn to someone else to complete my purchase. This happens regularly. One time, when inquiring to purchase a formal dress, the woman representative asked if I was sure I wanted to try it on and that if I liked it there are payment plans. After declining, representative kept insisting and seemed unsure to complete the sale otherwise. Very unusual interaction. After that, I ended up purchasing directly from the designer. Regarding cosmetics, I’ve experienced mixed interactions. When requesting to refill on Creed, male representative simply pointed towards the area, turned around and left. As soon as he saw me completing a large purchase with someone else, he re-newed interest in helping me and recommended I add on to my purchase. Guerlain and mens section representatives are very helpful, informative, and kind. Other than that, whenever I order online for in store pick up there is always damage on the products.

Yelp
This store is nicely put together. All the displays are neat and interesting. They have lots of drsignet brands, some I have never heard of. They also have lots of eager associates willing to help you find whatever you need. I wanted to try on two items but they did not have my size for either. Their selection of sizing could definitely be improved. A lot of their sale items are "Final.Sale" so that is worth taking note of. They are located at the West end of the Merrick Park Shops. Basically at the other end of the mall from Nordstrom. There is street parking near Neiman's.

Yelp
I visit Neiman Marcus stores on any and every trip where there is a store. This was my first visit to this particular location and it is located inside the Merrick Park mall where there are so many stores and the absolute ambience of this mall is beautiful. We came across two very helpful fantastic sales associate Tracy and Susy who helped us with our purchases on this particular day. Unfortunately, the shoe department here and their staff while they are very well staffed could not be bothered and never approached us at any point in time. It is unfortunate because we ended up buying shoes from the Neiman Marcus at Bal Harbor instead. The store is absolutely beautiful and has everything you could possibly need and then some it was great to see such a huge selection of not only shoes, but also the fine high jewelry pieces. I would definitely come back here again and go see and work with those two wonderful sales associate ladies!!

Yelp
Merly Nieves Valdes is amazing. She is sophisticated, helpful and refined and it's a pleasure to interact with her. I must admit that after a rather dismal phone conversation with a representative at the Neiman Marcus Merrick Park location I was rather disenchanted. Lucky, Ms. Merly revised my previous experience. Ask for her and you will have the best shopping experience!

Yelp
The most excellent service ever. It is such a delight to stop by this lovely location. The selection of merchandise is exceptional.

Yelp
It appears this store focuses on selling their high-end, expensive items, but when it comes to customer service, their managers quickly disregard the same ethical standards. I purchased a piece of jewelry that got damaged, and the manager's lack of assistance was awful.

Beatriz R.

Yelp
I went for the first time with a friend. I had a mushroom soup which was so yummy. We also had guacamole and I have to say it was the best I have had and the chips were so thin and crispy. Alejandro was super, he was very attentive and made sure to come by and ask if we had any questions or if we needed anything. We had an amazing time and I can't wait to go back.

Yelp
Placed an order almost a month ago but they keep pushing the ETA out over & over again. Supposedly they can't cancel the order or release the hold on my credit card. How long can they keep my money hostage & also not fulfill my order? Their answer: "who knows?" ‍ Stay far away from these crooks. They've slashed all their customer service & support, and I doubt they're funneling those savings to the 3rd world kids that make their products for pennies so that Geoffroy Van Raemdonck can enjoy yet another yacht to laugh at the poors from.

Yelp
Of course the store is nice, but for the prices - I think not. High end posh prices for posh people and people with too much money. I for one will not come back, for this reason. Every item I picked up had ridiculous price tags - 950 dollars for leggings? shoes around the 1,000 mark.

Yelp
Yes it's pricey but so many more unique items, more than what you find out a typical retailer. Also the staff are super knowledgeable and eager to help. It doesn't hurt the store is beautiful and the location is lovely. Worth it!

Shirley N.

Yelp
John Falci, Senior Group Manager at Neiman Marcus, was terrible at handling my complaint. I had asked for the store manager but that manager was no where to be found. Even Merrick security director can't get hold of the Neiman Marcus store manager. There is some sort of unwritten policy that when a sales rep unlocks the dressing room door that the customer can't receive help from any other sales rep if that rep goes MIA, missing in action. So if the door is unlocked all the other sales reps can only look at you walking past them and tell you oh I can't help you because someone else opened the dressing room door. Also, I wasn't sure of the male hanging around the dressing room door where my daughter was changing. He wasn't helping and just asked if I was being helped to which I told him, "No", I was not being helped. He offered no help and texted someone after asking the question. I called Merrick security director who tried to get hold of the store manager to no avail. For days he said he tried to get in touch with the store manager and all he got was no answer on the phone call and has been unable to reach any senior management because only Neiman Marcus Security can review the video footage to figure out if the man standing next to the dressing room door was an employee, stalker, Neiman Marcus security, Merrick security, loss prevention employee or a miscellaneous customer. He wasn't shopping. John Falci told me he wasn't going to review hours of video and I told him we were there for only 1 hour. He blew me off as an inconsequential customer and said where is my receipt that shows I bought something. I said to Falci, I will never buy from Neiman Marcus because their customer service is horrid. Also a female sales rep picked out some clothes and when I said someone else opened the dressing room door she shoved the clothes into my arms and said she can't help someone who has a dressing room door unlocked for them. That sales rep later asked a passing female if she was the one who unlocked the door and that other woman said she was and kept walking off apparently doing other things. Nobody was helping us and none of the sales reps could help us because of their unwritten rule that the person who unlocks the dressing room door handles that person's customer service and sales. They have no way of handing off that responsibility to another if the sales rep takes a walk and leaves the area to do something else. John Falci said this is because the person who unlocks the door receives the commission on the sales but I said, why would I buy something and give that person a commission if they aren't handling our customer service and sales other than unlocking a door? We didn't buy anything and John Falci was demanding a sales receipt.

Yelp
Staff was very friendly and they have tons of employees that acknowledge you and ask if you need help. I did need something, but they did not have my perfume which was disappointing even they have a Givenchy station. They only carry the new ones that givenchy recently came out with unfortunately.

Yelp
I love to shop here specially with Lisandra who is my personal shopper!!! This place has everything you'll ever want and need!

Serafin G.

Yelp
The Neiman Marcus website is misleading when you're purchasing something for same-day curbside pick up. I purchased an anniversary gift because their website stated something to the effect of, "Want instant gratification? Order for same day curbside pick up." Once you place the order, they let you know that the product won't be in the store for 3-5 days for pick up. Why would they suggest something that isn't accurate? So frustrating!

Yelp
I WAS CHARGED TWICE IN MY CREDIT CARD on November 19 2020. The seller swiped my credit card 3 times. I was charged twice by MISTAKE. The seller Luis C. did a refund for less of the amount. The total amount $3,199.30. In this same purchase that I realized (Store Merrick Park) I also ordered a pair of pants, which needed to be shipped to the Store. I canceled the pants the day after. The seller complaint about my cancelation. They told me they are going to refund the pants and I'm still waiting for the refund (today is the 23rd). The manager Stuart was supposed to call me this morning, he never did. I have been calling several times and not answer from him. I'm still waiting to fix the first mistake (less amount refund for the seller mistake) and for the pants' refund. Neiman Marcus has a promo right now, the most you spend, they give you a credit back. I never was told about this during my shopping; which means I don't get this credit.

Yelp
I really love shopping at Neiman Marcus in person and online. I have always received nothing but excellent customer service when I shop at any of the stores and this particular location is no exception to that. This Neiman Marcus is located at the Shops At Merrick Park. I do want to mention that typically every time I shopped at a Neiman Marcus store in person, has always been with my little girl dog (yes all Neiman Marcus stores allows you to shop with your 4 legged friend). I don't know if having my little girl with me gets any of the sales associate's attention or brings out their friendliness, but like I said, I have never experienced rude customer service. But I can see how others may find a high end place like this to be rather snooty (as my friends have told me numerous of times their feelings towards Neiman Marcus and Saks). Anyways, on this visit, my husband, and of course our little girl, and I came to this store last Friday to browse. I walked around the store to check out the handbags. There is an LV boutique inside this Neiman Marcus and also a Channel boutique as well. If you have a Neiman Marcus credit card, you can use your card at these stores since they are inside Neiman Marcus. Then off I went to the shoe department. A sales associate was making small talk with my husband while he was waiting with our little girl for me. And being that I am my little girl's favorite, she jumped up and down very excitedly when I returned. This sales associate was just talking to us about our dog and then he ended up helping me to find a pair of shoes, in my size, that I was looking at. After trying on a few pairs (trying to find the most comfortable...sadly most high end shoes are not very comfortable), I ended up picking the one that I really wanted (sales tax is lower than in California, so that should justify my spending here, just kidding) and paid for my item. This sales associate was friendly and helped to pack up my purchase and place it in a bag (which I gave to my husband to carry, lol. That is what husbands are for). Then we said our goodbyes and headed on our way. My shopping experience here was a pleasant one and wished I lived closer to a Neiman Marcus (most of the ones back at home are pretty far so I will usually just shop online). If I lived here, I know that I would definitely be a regular shopper.

Yelp
They have done an amazing job this year decorating the store for Christmas. It looks beautiful. Many thanks to all the staff who made it so. Customers like me really appreciate it.

Yelp
Tell me where else you can shop in luxury like this without crossing over to Bal Harbour. Tom Ford, Louboutins, Prada, Gucci-you name it! Obviously, this is a high end luxury store so the prices reflect such. Shopping here is such a delight from the second you walk in. The staff is friendly offering help but still give you sufficient distance to shop in peace. The restaurant inside cleverly named Mariposa gives shoppers the perfect recess. They do offer wedding registries although with prices like these-you better hope to have the alternative affordable option to balance out your requests. The fragrance department has all the variety you could dream of so you can smell like the queen(or king) you are. Retail therapy here is a sight for sore eyes. Returns are a bit difficult as they're very picky for the condition of the item you're returning since it must be in sellable condition.

Yelp
What an elegant store llocated in the Shops fo Merrick park in the beautiful city of Coral Gables. With high end brands this location has it all. As soon as you walk in, everyone was so nice and attentive.

Yelp
I have frequented the store since it's opening. The shoe department is one of my favorite areas, it has a nice selection of Chanel, Prada, Gucci and others. Most recently I purchased a pair of shoes from a very nice lady, Amelia Godoy. Coincidentally, my husband, without knowing her, also purchased a pair of shoes from her. I had to make a change and she has been resourceful, attentive and great in following up. I even called her on her day off and she took care of me. I will continue to go back to her. Excellent service is priceless!

Gabriela R.

Yelp
I want my order cancelled an my money refunded, it's been over 2 weeks and still shows "in process"

Gia O.

Yelp
Literally the most rude straight men that work in the heels department. Like how are you going to have an attitude when people are spending 1k + up on shoes especially during this time when no one has money. The guy didn't want to " go back and forth" because he said " it's a mess back there" and it will be too much. Excuse me?! Isn't that your job? I will never be back here. On top of I over hear another sales man telling a woman to move out of the way in such a rude tone because she was in the middle of the aisle? Who do these entitled men think they are. Not a single woman in the heels department? Make it make sense.
google avatar

Kev R.

Yelp
Mr. Luis, was wonderful to me in the men's. He found the Eton shirt I had been looking for right away in the perfect size. Thank you.

Yelp
Absolute worst wedding registry experience. Customer service is terrible. They never answer the phones. I had to go in person with Charles to set up my registry website because their website was constantly down. Took over two months for him to set up my online registry, which was missing pictures of some of the items. My items would randomly disappear from the website from time to time. I was told by Tom, the manager, that he would help and compensate me for all the trouble.... still waiting. Please go elsewhere for your wedding registry -- the registry dept at this Neiman Marcus will simply just add to the stress of an already stressful experience.

Yelp
I bought Prada shoes for $690 in 2016 and wore maybe 15-20 times. My heels broke after wearing the. For a little time. I don't understand why paying almost $700 got me the worst quality shoes. Aren't Prada shoes the most and the best quality
google avatar

Jacques B.

Yelp
I agree with Gisselle I just left the men's department - specifically in regards to a Tom Ford belt. I was shocked at the lack of customer service at such a high end retail store. I was baffled at the responses I received from the sales agent. I asked to speak with the manager - his name was Reggie and he was no better. I would caution you from shopping here. Nordstrom is literally 200ft away. Do yourself a favor and shop there where truly do care. I called and also left a voicemail for Stephen Bruelle- hoping he returns my call and it's better service at the Vice President's level.
google avatar

Yelp
I come here all the time to shop but that is not the point besides I really don't buy anything, i just shop and by bootleg versions of it from some Orientals in Hialeah what I wanted to comment on was the amazing bathrooms that Neiman Marcus has I mean they are incredible Spotless, well-designed, spacious, full doors on the stalls for optimal privacy....I can go on and on Everything I would want in my bathroom at home

Yelp
Beauty, fragrance and fashion. Amazingly talented sales associates like Noël Valentine Walter, the Business Manager for TOM FORD BEAUTY for Neiman Marcus helped me find and customize a perfect combination of scents. Steve Brunelle and the amazing Stuart Barnes are the talented GMs who deserves credit for managing the best Neimans in the country.

Yelp
This review is exclusively of the Coral gables Neiman Marcus. I went to return a pair of Christian Louboutin's while visiting Florida in October 2019 and a pair of Gucci's caught my attention and the salesman told me they probably fit ass they run a bit true to size compared to other brands. I order my size 12 and he said he would over night them for free as they always do. I came back home to Seattle and 3 weeks went by and no shoes. I received an email saying they had been delivered and no package was around nor my cameras picked anyone delivering a package for me. I contacted the salesman and he told me I had to file a claim with FedEx, I called FedEx and they said the shipper had to file it, called back and no one knew hot to help me so I spoke to Reggie Brooks ( menswear manager) the only manager available and explained him what happened he said I'd have a resolution by November 8th. November 11th came around and no one contacted me so I requested the store general manager and a lady in the executive office said I had an answer by the end of the day. No one called and I called back this time with the ladies shoes manager who was rude, disrespectful and unapologetic. I will be filing a formal complaint with one of my favorite stores corporate office and never deal with this horrible woman again. she belongs at a Walmart for all I care. Terrible service

Sonya S.

Yelp
You can look around, but don't think of buying. You can never get the attention of any sales help. Everyone stands around staring at their iphones. Completely disinterested, often with insufficient Englsh. I mentioned my size and requirements at least four times to the associate in the Vince section, and she stared at me blankly, then sauntered off. Huh? She went to find someone who spoke English while I stood around for 15 minutes. I had to pinch myself. Was this Berlin? Paris? I understand the staff wait for winter, when their personal snow bird clients come and spend $5000 at a time. Maybe this is the reason. I certainly look as if I have the bank account to shop there. The staff look as if they have all been lobotimized. Quite strange. That being said, the cosmetics people, who work on commission, are always pleasant, alert and happy to assist.

Yelp
The shoe department is amazing. They are always welcoming, and whatever they dont have they are more than happy to order it for you. If you see something you like get it. It may not be there when you return they don't carry a bid inventory.

Yelp
Joseph from the Women's shoe department is absolutely amazing. Incredibly professional, kind and persistent to make sure I get exactly what I want. Truly reliable in getting me whatever it is I want. Also really great at communicating. Please appreciate him Neimans!

Yelp
To be fair, I want to open with this not being a review of the entire store. I do not shop at Neiman Marcus because I am not that well paid. However, I do have an affection for warm chocolate chip cookies. That is the main reason and perhaps only reason that I ever go to this Neiman Marcus, even though it is very close to my office. Go to the restaurant on the top floor and ask for a cookie box. It will be $5 plus tax for a little plastic box with five freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. These chocolate chip cookies are the ones that come from the famous Neiman Marcus chocolate chip cookie Legend, which means that they have a hint of coffee flavor to them. They used to serve these in the little silver Neiman Marcus box and they had the recipe in the lid of the box, but no more. However, I never went to get the silver box or the recipe - I went for the cookies. And you should too!

Yelp
Ok so I came here again. At the shoe department they were as nice as can be! I called before coming and the girl on the phone made me feel very welcome, she answered all my questions and seemed very genuine and once I got there I was offered water and they knew when to leave me alone and let me look and when to approach me for help- that's was customer service is all about. Just knowing when I need you and when I want to be alone. The handbag department as well- I spoke with a sales girl that was so nice! I love how she helped me out. Even though I didn't buy anything she was lovely and helped me pick bags at a reasonable price point instead of trying to make a huge sale on me. She even gave me her info so I can text her if I have any questions. Now-the evening dresses department. That is the reason I gave this store two stars. RUDE!!! I was holding about 5 cocktail dresses in my arms and none of them even acknowledged me or offered to start a fitting room like MOST stores do. When I walk up to two of them to ask for a fitting room. The reply was "these here are already full" (not even trying to offer me a solution) so I was like "ok can you get me one of those fitting rooms" I said pointing at the ones across the hall. "Well the thing is that we are packing up to go home" I wish there was a way to photograph my face. I was SO mad that she didn't want to help me. My mom I guess noticed how mad I was and asked what happened. And I said super loud "no mom don't worry they can't help us cause they want to go home" To which they hollered "yeah go ask Martha she's from the evening shift she's over there" my mom was in disbelief. I said "you know what don't worry about it. I will figure it out on my own" carrying like 50 pounds of embellished cocktail dresses. I guess she realized that she was being highly unprofessional because when I walked over she was right behind me. And told "Martha" that I needed a fitting room. Thank you Martha for opening a room for me. She didn't really check up on me or offer to help me at all but whatever I didn't end up liking the dresses so I didn't need her help anyway. But my gosh! How horrible

Yelp
Dealing with Neiman Marcus and understanding that they work with high end items, you'd think that they would have competency in processing a return. This whole issue started as a gift for a friend in another state. When I processed the order (unlike most online retail big box stores), there wasn't any indication for who could accept the return. I CALLED AHEAD TO THE STORE TO CONFIRM, and a rep said to provide the name and ask have her ask for her to assist her. My friend went in and was told NO to her OWN GIFT. After calling the store, they COMPLETELY shift the narrative to in person buyer pickup only. I didn't even WANT the return, but they said I had no choice. They send me to customer service.... The representative processed it and said it should be back in my account within a week.... Of course it didn't. I receive an email telling me 10-14 days.... no worries. The representative I spoke to the SECOND time when it NEVER CAME said there was NO RECORD OF THE RETURN and they tell me 3-5 business days... again..... I call a THIRD TIME to be held on the phone being told possible ANOTHER 30 DAYS OF WAITING FOR MY OWN MONEY.... HOW DO YOU RUN A BUSINESS AND TREAT PEOPLE THIS WAY..... You all should be ashamed of how POORLY you've trained your customer service reps and don't give them the tools to properly take care of customers... Like I actually feel bad for being so mad at their rep... she literally wasn't trained to do this job and handle what we as customers ask of her.

Yelp
Passed by this store today after checking out some colognes at nordstom. Decided to see what they had available in regards to niche fragrances. This is where we met Boris, a product specialist for Neiman Marcus. After introducing us to a few scents from Acqua Di Parma, Boris figured out the type of scents we were in search for and introduced us to Creed fragrances. Absolutely life changing experience. Not only were these extremely rare and hard to find fragrances available to sample, Boris was an expert in explaining all of them to us and the different notes they contained. Fantastic experience that exceeded my expectations. I will definitely return and seek out Boris for his expertise.

Yelp
Horrible customer service at David Yurman boutique at NM at Merrick Park. Wanted this ring very badly and staff at DY did not deliver. Made me wait to give me the wrong size, did not comp to resize and finally I got my money back from them. Will go elsewhere for my ring. Never again. irina

Yelp
My review is mostly for the Chanel boutique within Neiman Marcus. Last summer, i stopped in and found a boy bag that I was interested in buying. The sales lady, May, seemed attentive and helped me to try out bags. I was unsure if I wanted to make purchase that day as I found the bag on display had a scratch. I subsequently exchanged text messages with sales lady, informed she could have another bag sent to store in order for me to view to see if in spanking new condition and left off something like 'thanks let me know and I'll stop over when in store." 2 weeks pass and no call or text from May. I believe these people work off commission, so confounded as to why no follow-up which was promised. Also, I'm certainly not going to track someone down when ball in their court especially when I'm trying to give you money. Never make it difficult for people to give you money. I ultimately contacted Neiman Marcus up in Boca and had constant, prompt follow up from saleslady, Luba. I went out of my way and took afternoon drive just to make sure she received credit for the sale. I appreciate good customer service which she provided. Overall, the experience in Boca directly contrasted with the one in Coral Gables. There is enough Chanel product on the market that there is no reason to deal with this sort of thing, never mind the cost of Chanel handbags are not insignificant, and will avoid Neiman Marcus Chanel boutique coral gables in future. Otherwise, the store is decent from my experience albeit on the smaller size.

Just had dinner with a girlfriend on Christmas eve and our server was Raoul, amazing customer service and I highly recommend him!! we will definitely bring friends back for cocktails and appetizers while we shop! Thanks again to Raoul! It's extremely hard to find good customer service here in Miami so we greatly appreciate it! Merry Christmas:)

Yelp
To me is the best department store in the world. Nothing can compare. My vendors know me by my last name

Yelp
Poor customer service. Made a purchase and spent more than 20 minutes checking out. The seller did not know the prices.

Yelp
Merrick park is overall very conveniently located for me; this NM has a great selection in the women's shoe department as well as handbags!

Yelp
Good selection and helpful staff -- while browsing, my mother got chilly. A NM employee noticed and draped a sweater over her shoulders. Sweet gesture!

Yelp
I truly wanted to give Neiman's a solid 5 stars. I believe a store of this caliber should be nothing short of that. Sadly, I don't believe they deserve it. As I stated in my previous tip, Lynda and JC were of great help. JC even followed up with me via text. Now THAT is the level of customer service I'd expect. They both get 5 stars! As soon as I saw Lynda in action with another customer, I knew I needed her help finding the perfect evening dress. She did her best and brought me a few great dresses despite that fact that she was already tending to another customer and it was the end of her shift. She asked another associate to help me, but she didn't quite meet my expectations. After setting me up in a fitting room, she asked if I'd like a bottle of water, and I quickly replied, "yes please!" I was in there about 45 minutes and never saw a drop of water. She came by and brought many dresses, none of them age or event appropriate. Once I finally found one I liked, I went over to see her at the register. I wanted to see if it was available in any other color online. We waited, and waited and waited some more. She was doing something on the computer and insisted she would only be 5 more minutes. After taking another look and the entire floor for other options (giving her time to finish), we came back and she was gone. Fed up and tired, I jotted down the information on the dress and did the online research myself! Lynda was great, the replacement lady - not so much. I had spoken to JC in ladies' shoes before returning the next day. When I arrived, he promptly took care of me. I knew exactly what I was looking for, just a matter of trying on a few styles. Once I made my decision, we realized they didn't have the size/color combination I was looking for. I quickly pointed out that Bal Harbor had them in stock (I had previously checked inventory online at both Merrick Park and Bal Harbor). Thinking they would have the same level of exceptional customer service as Nordstrom, I expected them to ship from one store to another for free. Silly me! There would be a charge of $25 for overnight and $15 for regular shipping. Please take note that online, they will have the shoe in the store you choose within 2-3 days for FREE. I ended up "negotiating" an overnight shipping from Bal Harbor for $15. When my shoes were ready for pickup, unfortunately JC was gone for the day (he was great!). Someone else took care of me and his first questions was if I had paid for them already. Do these people work on commission? Because once I answered "yes", he didn't seem to care much about helping me. Lastly, since they were being stretched, he had to repackage them. Somehow, he left out the spare pair of heel taps that come with the shoes, probably because he was trying to get me out of his way quickly. He also snubbed me on validating parking, not sure if they normally do this - but he was just plain snotty. Thankfully, JC responded to my text right away and he took care of it. I honestly don't know that I'll be returning here, I have a pretty bad taste in my mouth.

Yelp
store is very well maintained and always impeccably clean. customer service is hit and miss, but when its good its great. one of the better neiman marcus' in the US based on their size and range of products. will validate for parking at merrick garage. also--mariposa is a nice place to grab a bite. downside?: unless you want to use your neimans card or an amex, make sure you have cash.

Yelp
Poor customer service, selection is mish-mashed together, not the vale for what 1 pays for, store could be cleaner, as well. Always disappinted with NM.
