Today I went into Neiman Marcus, and I was just browsing, I always like to window shop here, but can’t afford much of the stuff in the store. I’m usually under the impression in these kind of stores that because I can’t afford most of the stuff and I appear to be younger that I won’t be treated very nicely however that couldn’t be further from the truth, Andi I’m the fragrance/watch department was so incredibly kind and engaging Indefinitely made me want to be a future, Neiman Marcus customer as soon as I’m able to afford it. This kind of attitude towards anger shoppers should be implemented in order to drive the next generation of shoppers and Andi really well represented the company.

I wandered around the store for 20 mins without being greeted by anyone. I asked 2 different individuals where I could find customer service and was redirected to various locations. I came in to get a shoe repair and was told I could go up to any register for assistance and there was not one rep by any register. My red bottom sole started peeling off and it was a pain to get any consistent assistance via phone or in person. When I was able to get assistance after 20 mins, the interaction with the female shoe sales rep was pleasant and informative.

A fantastic wedding anniversary gift meal! Started with the ample and well executed popovers with consomme. I will say as a fine dining experience the waiter said broth where the menu says consumme, it definitely was chicken broth and not consomme, from my experience in the culinary arts :) regardless the popover was delicious and accompanied by slightly sweetened guava butter. Next up was the 3 cheese board. We selected a blue, brie and manchego. It was accompanied by fruit past gels, candied nuts, crackers and slices strawberry. All pleasant and fresh. The manchego was about 6 months or less aged, the brie was creamy and had no acidity or bite so perhaps double creme or triple and the blue was not too pungent. All tasted delicious and the portions were quite large. My wife had the Atlantic salmon with salad and it was cooked just below mid rare which is exactly how fine dining should serve salmon, allowing it to finish in the resting period prior to service. It was fresh, seasoning vibrant and just fell apart with slight fork pressure. I had the grassfed wagyu burger rare and it was cooked and seasoned exactly as it should be. The portion, generous and the build of the burger correct. Toasted bun, aioli, lettuce tomatoes onion cheese burger lettuce aioli bun. They kindly brought out a small burnt creme dessert with a candle. It too was delicious. I always reccomend friends and family try Mariposas. It's fine dining feel with out fine dining prices compared to Alan Wongs.

Love eating at Mariposa, the bread served with sweet butter is always a treat and the lobster BLT and seafood curry are favorites. It’s always super busy yet fun and upbeat with great service. The third floor is heaven, pure heaven with upscale confectionary and formal and trendy tableware and household items. The icing on the cake is the friendly valet parking service which can be accessed by using the escalator connected to the restaurant.

I wanted to buy chocolates today it’s was no one there for more then 30 minutes you need to go around search for employees and they always to busy to gossip with each other give you a favor that they assisting you! No wonder this NM always empty terrible customers service the worst from all departments stores! I was asked sales associate to buy a travel size cream she despaired and never brought me one they treat you there like you not a customer if you buy something small! I’m about call now and cancel my NM credit card I opened with them no way I spend $ there.

Wanted to expand our selections with perfumes & colognes so me and my boyfriend decided to visit Neiman Marcus for the first time. I check reviews before going anywhere. Although reviews say sales associates are not the friendliest I COMPLETELY DISAGREE. Definitely NOT TRUE. We came across MAURICIO at the colognes & fragrance area and let me tell you he is your man for this area! Very patient, friendly, knowledgeable about anything perfume & im sure the whole store! He made us feel so comfortable to ask any questions or even give statements to what our preferences were. He knows his products from any lifestyle you may choose: work, gym, day & night time, events and etc he will recommend and make you smell scents that suits your preferences! He is phenomenal and amazing! Everything he recommended was delicious and on point. Also appreciate that he was even letting us know his personal favorites! So impressed with Mauricio! he needs his own youtube channel to educate about perfume & colognes bc theres so much more into it than just smelling good, or maybe even start his own line of colognes. He deserves a higher position!!!! but still needs to be on the floor because he's incredible & full of information. Customers need that! Also shoutout to Stine! She was also incredible she helped us at the de marly section. She was so kind and friendly. Thank you to both for making us feel welcome with open arms and very much with Aloha! I will definitely come back thanks to Mauricio and Stine. First impression is very important and they both exceeded that expectation for us. Right on!

I love to browse around at Neiman Marcus, especially on the first floor. That's where they have all their cosmetics, bags and jewelry. They even have a small section for Van Cleef and Arpels. It's the only place on the island that sells it. Majority of the time I receive great service. An associate will always ask me if I need any help. They'll tell me about the promotions that they have going on. We all know that Neiman Marcus is going to be pricey, but you get what you pay for. They carry high quality items. There are two food places in this Neimans: the Mermaid Bar for a quick bite or Mariposa for the full dining experience. I love Mariposa. They have the best curry. Give this a try.

I was a little surprised at how 'dated' this particular Neiman Marcus location was - Selections were definitely in the mid-range, but if you're unable to find specific designers here, you can walk around the rest of the Ala Moana Center to find the actual boutique. The perfume counter needs attending to, as most of the bottles were empty... Restrooms need a lot of work - they were dirty and not well kept. +dated location +dirty restrooms +located at the Ala Moana Center

Ordered Over a Month Ago -- Still No Shoes I placed an order for a pair of shoes on July 8, 2025, and as of August 3, I still haven't received them. Every time I contact customer service, I get the same generic response with no real update or resolution. It's been nearly a month, and I'm beyond frustrated. There's no transparency, no tracking info, and no accountability. I've asked for escalation and still nothing changes. If I don't receive my order or a refund soon, I'll be disputing the charge through my bank and reporting the issue to consumer protection. Shop elsewhere -- this has been a terrible experience.

I will say I'm not someone who ever walks out of a Neiman Marcus and feels like I had amazing customer service.. until today! Alicia in the men's sunglass section was amazing and helped my non-shopper husband find the perfect pair. She was polite and calm and not pushy, she listened to what he wanted instead of push things on him. What a wonderful employee she is and a huge asset to a department store that I think lacks Customer Service.

I must say that this store is nice. I don't shop here. Way out of my price range. It was nice browsing around while cutting through. Everything in here is nice and quite expensive but it you want to splurge, I highly suggest doing it. All the employees were dressed professional and were working at their stations. One day I may splurge when I have money saved up. So many high end brands. The store was clean and paths were big enough to walk through.

Neiman Marcus is my new favorite store. We don't have one on Maui so this was actually my first shopping experience. First impressions walking in, this store is massive so it's easy to get overwhelmed with everything. It kind of reminded me of a high in Macy's. We walked in on the first floor & was greeted by a sales person in the beauty department. Out of the corner of my eye I noticed the shoes & purses to my left. Making a b-line over to a table that looked like red bottoms. To my surprise they do carry the designer I'm always keeping an eye out for. I picked up a shoe & put it back down when I saw a sale rack in the back. I was surprised to find one that fit me, size 4.5 & another shoe that I wanted but was too big. It only took a few minutes of browsing before I was offered assistance. Of course I said yes & tried both on. I wanted both but went with the shoe that fit. Except I didn't pull the trigger until I roamed around the rest of the store. There were plenty of sale tables set up throughout each department for their end of the year/winter sale. There were some beautiful dresses that were tempting. Even a candy section next to their in store restaurant. With still so much to discover & explore. One birthday weekend getaway wasn't enough to absorb everything this store had to offer. However as a hunter of sales I was pretty stoked to find a pair of $800 shoes for almost $500 off. I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for more sales to add to my new red bottom collection. Until next time. Xoxo, ChelsieFletcher

I went there to pick up a few last minute Christmas gifts. One can never complain about the service you receive. Always high quality- very professional! I was looking for YokuMoku and wanted the wafer rolls specifically. They were out, my fault for going late. They did have the assorted boxes and even wrapped them for me! I guess I will be earlier next Christmas!!!

Gorgeous store! Front entrances are on the second and third floors inside the Ala Moana Mall, right above the food court area. Oh, how I love the lap of luxury! Everything neat, organized and clean but at the same time it's a bit of a ghost town. Most counters do not have a sales person. Probably because sales are low. When I did ask a sales associate for assistance she was not familiar with the products because "no one is working at that counter." Back in the day we used to call it Needless Markups LOL.

I remember when Neiman Marcus first opened up in Ala Moana Center. It was huge and everything seemed so expensive. After awhile I realized not everything was expensive and I recall buying a gift there for a first birthday party I had to attend. It was a battery powered vehicle for a male. This item was a shiny penny but worth it to make my friend and his son happy. I can't recall the brand as it was either Porsche, Ferrari or Mercedes. This was over 16 years ago so my memory is a little foggy. Shortly after that I had a client that worked in the children's department in Nordstrom so I would support her as they receive commissions on things they sell. She's no longer there and the children's department has gone downhill for a long time at Nordstrom. I was recently looking for a gift for a friends sons first birthday and I'm so happy I came back to Neiman Marcus. They have a great selection of items for gifts and they can gift wrap. I was able to find a nice polo shirt for him. Just in case his parents didn't like my choice as I don't have good taste in clothes, they offer gift receipts. I'll definitely be coming back to Neiman Marcus for children's gifts.

Catherine Sun, sales associate at Cle de Peau is the most disgusting, unprofessional, rude, greedy, and terrible person I have ever met. Her focus is all about "how much commission I can get from my customers?" Even if I told her not to contact me again, she called me a number of times just because she wants her sales. She rarely respected my requests or decisions, because all she cares about is how much money she can make from her customers. She has been always aggressive and greedy when it comes to selling the merchandise, called me a number of times to try to force me to buy more, saying "Akiko, it's time to buy your Synactif Cream!" (Synactif Cream costs $1,125) especially during gift card promotion period or Gift with Purchase period even if I have enough Synactif Cream I bought previously. It was obvious that she doesn't consider customers' needs or doesn't listen to customers' requests, and I am fed up with her. Because of her, I completely stopped buying from her and started buying elsewhere, and I am very happy with my decision. Just seeing her at Neiman Marcus makes me feel very disgusted. It is hard to believe that such a high-end store like Neiman Marcus has unprofessional employee like Catherine Sun.

I recently ordered an item online and was disappointed with the quality (didn't have a tag and it looked used), so I brought it back to the store for a return/exchange. The woman that helped me (sorry, forgot her name as this was a few weeks ago) was wonderful. The transaction was quick, easy, and hassle free. I did end up repurchasing the item after the return was made as I intended the top to be added to my wardrobe. The lady ordered it for me at the counter and had it sent directly to my home this time instead of curbside pickup as I originally had it sent (I mistakenly thought it would be shipped faster because it was to the store). Anyway, I think she put a rush on it becaused it shipped almost immediately and arrived a lot sooner than expected. When opened, the top met all expectations and I was satisfied with the purchase. Just a note on their curbside pickup: It was an easy process. 1. Order online and select curbside pickup for the delivery option. 2. Wait for a confirmation email that it had been delivered to the store and is ready for pickup. 3. Go to the store's valet area and call the number in the email (there's also a big sign outside) to let them know you're there. 4. Someone will bring your item out to you. But for the fact that I needed to go into store the next day to return the item, curbside pickup was a good experience. I'd use it again, but next time check/inspect my item(s) before leaving the premises.

The most beautiful department store in Ala Moana. The layout of Neiman Marcus is so clean and elegant. I love coming in just to look at the floating butterflies in the atrium. This store offers a nice selection of high-end and luxury men's wear and couture for woman's as well as accessories Don't misjudge the sales associates because they are extremely friendly and helpful. I love all the fragrances for they are high quality and always top of the line. I've never used their complementary valet service, but have had gift wrapped items during the holidays which they are hands down the best!!

Very disappointed today shopping for some kids clothes on sale. The manager ( I should ask her name) came to me before I purchase them. Checked all my items and told me I can't buy duplicate items. ( only one set of them are different size and I'm still debating which size I'm getting) She also asked me if I'm using my account to purchase( can u purchase with other peoples account!?) Does this policy apply to all the customers or I'm just the customer they don't welcome ? Im probably not gonna shop at this Neiman Marcus anymore, we have way nicer and better service at Austin Neiman Marcus. But still very disappointed that having this kind of mistreating experience at the end of our nice Hawaii trip.

I came in to shop the few minutes before closing, not expecting warm and friendly service as workers are eager to home (which is understandable). I walked up to the brunello cucinelli counter asking for help with something in the home section (photo album) and Micheal was so helpful and kind. I was shocked with his friendliness as I came in so close to closing and he even went so far to look up products for me online. When I went upstairs, I approached Dasha and she was also super friendly, and went out of her way to see if she could find something for me. As I was leaving Michael even checked up on me again to see how I did. Thank you Micheal (Bruno cucinelli section) and Dasha (chocolate/home section)!!!

Sian in the make up/perfume side was so awesome. I was running around ala moana trying to squeeze last minute Christmas shopping in, like between 8-9pm Christmas weekend. She helped me find a nice fragrance for my mom. She was absolutely lovely, very knowledgeable and quick and efficient. Thanks a bunch lovey.

I'm giving 3 star review due to the phenomenal customer service. However, the selections at this particular Neiman Marcus are disappointing. The formal dress selection is minimal. If you're looking for "mother of the bride" selections, there are about 8 dresses there. If you're heading to a ball, skip this store. I'm actually very shocked by the outdated clothing here. I asked the rep if the gowns on the floor were all they had and she went to the back to pull more for me and in my size. Unfortunately, they were still outdated but I was very pleased and thankful for how much she attempted to help.

Most of tables were taken. But didn't have to wait. Table service if dining in. Ordered for two: Corn chowder $7.50/each Roast beef sandwich with tossed salad $13 (Split in half) Both were specials for today Took out dessert: Banana cream tart $5.50 Pear tart $5.50 Prices were very reasonable Decent portions Great service by Tiffany Menu mostly consists of salads, sandwiches, wraps, soups, coffee - hot/cold, tea - hot/cold, desserts. Would definitely recommend. Very casual place.

This review is only for CATHERINE SUN from the Cle de peau beauty counter. She was extremely friendly, patient and knowledgeable about all of the products. I just discovered this line and I'm in love with it. I'm so happy that we ran into her because I was looking to purchase the full size of the enhancing contour eye cream. I asked if she could let my mom sample the eye cream and she was so awesome. She let her try it out and helped apply it on for her with the eye roller. She also gave us a lot of excellent samples in the eye mask. OUSTANDING customer service with Catherine!

I rarely visit this store. I'll shop online a lot so I don't have to waste my time browsing. Shoes and bags are mainly my focus here. I definitely love the exclusive sandals they have sometimes. I've learned from my last couple of experiences that if I see it online or in store, I've gotta pick it up! The past two holiday seasons I've seen items I wanted, didn't pull the trigger, and now for the second time I regret it big time! Yes I've saved myself $ but it still would've been money well spent lol. All the employees I've encounted are nice and helpful. If there is an item online but not in stock at the store, they're able to order the item online. I've never done that myself here but I've had employees offer. This definitely is a higher priced department store, but like any other, there still will be sales and mark downs you can take advantage of.

I was excited to visit Neiman Marcus at Ala Moana Center for the first time some time ago. Overall, the store was clean, organized, and spacious, with wonderful eye-catching and fashion-forward displays. While my relative and I did not stop to eat at their Mariposa Restaurant with its lovely decor, many people were there and seemed to have been enjoying their meals together. My big disappointment was soon apparent involving a Neiman Marcus employee on the sales floor. As I was browsing through some designer label apparel with my relative, I stopped to notice a certain outfit on a mannequin and mentioned that it's a style that I would be interested in wearing. So I asked the first nearby employee I saw there (a middle-aged woman) who did not smile or introduce herself or asked me for assistance when I called out to her, "Excuse me..." Instead, she stopped in her tracks and stood in front of me a couple of feet away and first straight looked me up and down to 'check me out'!! It was as if she was reviewing my whole being (style/wardrobe/shoes/bag/hair/makeup/jewelry/etc.) to see if I was "Neiman Marcus worthy" enough to assist me!! Or perhaps she was trying to determine if I would be worth her time--that is, IF I would be an actual paying customer vs. just a browser. I was quite uncomfortable with her staring as I felt she was 'judging' me somehow. Yes, ME--the potential customer!! I quickly asked her if they had a certain size of the outfit on the nearby mannequin, and she stopped looking at me intently and snapped, "I'll check." Unbelievably, still NO smile! She went to a nearby rack and then handed over the outfit on a hanger in my size with an attitude, as if she can't be bothered because she's too busy doing other things on the floor. Well, I thanked her anyway, and she went on her way to her other floor duties, fixing displays, etc. I was so surprised by that experience and upset at such behavior from that salesperson, I decided NOT to try on or purchase anything there at Neiman Marcus Ala Moana Center from that day forward!! I would expect that type of snooty "service" at luxury retailers in NYC or Paris (where I've visited/shopped at), but HAWAII?? Where's the 'Aloha' spirit?? I sincerely hope this branch seriously retrains their sales staff, because frankly, that behavior is NOT going to work in HAWAII where locals and tourists expect a more caring, nice vibe and professional/hospitable "island-style" customer service indicative of the 'ALOHA' spirit.

They have a smaller buy in comparison to other Neiman locations. Armani cosmetics counter had no designated sales advisor, but I was able to flag down a lead/manager and picked up my favorite concealer. She was very kind as to provide complimentary samples on products I inquired about. Michael on the RTW floor by Giorgio and Cucinelli was amazing; offered head to toe fit advice and created a luxurious experience. Keziah from Alterations was an absolute pleasure to work with and very honest of her feedback whilst being pinned. Overall great experience and will be back to pick up my shirt after promised date.

I had the opportunity to celebrate Mother's Day at the Butterfly Bistro Pop Up at Neiman Marcus. The tempting menu sealed it for celebrating with my family who I haven't seen all together in months. Situated on the Second level in a Designer department clothing racks removed an intimate floral displayed area with just a few tables separated 6' apart. Flowers beautifully decorated the tables and surrounding areas. It was like a private dining room as our party of 14 were separated onto 2 tables. And against the wall was a table for 2 with other customers. On the other side of a wall was an occupied table of 7. We were served a delicious soup full of ingredients (picture). Then a Neiman Marcus gift box was set in front of each person. What a yummy gift to receive. LOL There was a bento box with salmon, tenderloin beef (no need a fork & knife so soft just ripped it with my teeth), Gobo, takuan, Tamago, and so much more (check picture). In the other bento box were California sushi rolls & ahi. Took home food there was so much and enjoyed it the next day. It was still as good as the salmon melted in my mouth & the sushi was not hard & dry. For dessert was a Matcha cheesecake with strawberry purée. The service was excellent although there was only one Server. She really worked hard to make sure everyone there had a great time! I hope they do this again it was so elegant and relaxing and delicious. Thank you Duane for this great idea and accommodating my large family! Can't wait to dine in Mariposa again!

I won't even get into the reasons Neiman Marcus has always been my favorite department store. What I am truly pleased with is their response to the Covid pandemic. I was so excited to hear that shopping in store would resume. It is by appointment only so I had a little anxiety over the idea. However, pleasantly surprised, I went online and set my appt. It was incredibly easy, with many time options to choose from. Going through the valet/cafe entrance, a reception area with disposable masks, antibacterial hand gel and a smile is waiting to greet you. My sales associate Leann met me. She was so kind. We chatted and wandered the entire store. She assisted with choosing the perfect present for a friend. Was patient as I tried on a number of dresses. It was such a wonderful experience that had it not been for all the covid restrictions, I'd have surely hugged her. Her assistance was invaluable and her kindness and patience much appreciated. Can't wait to go back!

Brisket sandwich with a sweet hint of mustard. So very good. Thought I died and went to heaven. Popit's with whipped cream cheese on the side. If you only ate one your will power and waist line are to be commended. Now if you like pecan pie then your going to order my favorite macadamia nut pie and it was a big piece share with a friend. Or if your friend is from out of town tell them to try mango sorbet.

The experience I endured at Neiman Marcus was toxic. For such a repeatable company, I was very surprised to experience such a tremendous lack of leadership, lack of support, lack of proper training and tools to accomplish all tasks for my position as sales service ambassador. I was not set up for success. Furthermore, I was treated poorly by my direct management. There were also issues with my payroll and I was not paid for over three weeks. This was a complete disruption of my welfare, and even though I was given a few apologies from fellow staff members, It was never acknowledged by my department manager. The Communication from some managers was condescending and Sometimes unethical. It made me feel uncomfortable , unimportant, unheard and unseen. I left Neiman Marcus feeling dehumanized. After a very unproductive meeting with my manager, requested by me with the intention to speak on problem-solving and solutions-I was intimidated, and devalued and questioned on my loyalty to the company instead of attending church/community service commitments on Sundays. Management literally laughed as I walked out of the room when the meeting was over. The intention of this meeting was to get clarity on my scheduling, chain of command, holding issue with management speaking of my medical conditions among other associates during check in meetings, miscommunication and over all lack of support. However, During this meeting I was told not to reach out to any human resources channels outside of The Neiman Marcus store at Ala Moana. It's important to mention this NM has no HR department anymore. NMG says that "they offer associates an environment where everyone feels welcomed, nurtured, and empowered." They say "associates are the heart of NMG.....that NMG "leads with love - love for customers, love for associates, and love for brand partners." Perhaps other NM stores truly offer that, however, in my experience as a service ambassador at Neiman Marcus in Honolulu... I left feeling bullied and degraded. I hope no one else ever experiences this at their work place.

Elegant and expensive. A great place to stroll through with 2 great dining facilities (their cafe which has great ox tail soup and Mariposa with the fantastic popovers or some may call it Yorkshire pudding). This review however is specifically on their Cle de Peau line of skin care and make up. This particular line is found only at NM. Okay, The COMPLETE line of skincare and make up is found only at NM. (You can find some of the CdP line at Sephora). IMHO it's one of the best skincare products available (pricey) but still affordable; especially their sunscreen which is the only sunscreen product I've found that incorporates the SPF and their daily emulsion skin care product. I make my journey to NM when I'm in need of skincare CdP products and mosey on upstairs to Mariposa and enjoy their lobster BLT sandwich...

Neiman Marcus is a breath of fresh air from other department stores. The men's department features a sophisticated selection of men's wear and accessories which are tasteful and artistic. These pieces are sure to be conversation starters. My favorite spot in the Men's Department is the accessories, particularly the designer frames, jewelry and pens. The selection reminds me of famous labels on billboards in Tokyo, which are otherwise not heard of in most places here in the islands. You won't be able to find many of these options online and certainly in other stores, so Neiman Marcus is the spot to get your hands on the real deal. Next time you feel like splurging on a big purchase, start here for a few unique options before hitting the usual spots.

When you're in need of a fabulous pair of jeans.....NM, never disappoints. Since I am vertically challenged....I always get my jeans tailored. I love that the process is simple and usually quick. I have my items mailed to me. They mail it for free (of course!) and via FedEx...usually within the week. Excellent service each time I go there.

My absolute favorite store in Ala Moana hands down. The customer service is unmatched to any store. Jenny Luck in the fragrance department is extremely knowledgeable in my newly favorite fragrance line and I truly enjoy my experience every time I shop in store. The store itself is aesthetically pleasing and Mariposa has a truly delicious lunch menu and is a perfect spot for a mid shopping break.

I hired this guy using Neiman Marcus as his business. he does all maintenance work as he is a chief engineer there. i have tried to contact this guy for his mess, he ignored and never came back to fix the problem. I trusted him because he is with Neiman Marcus. he is passing out this bisiness card that he carried stacks of them. I gave him business, paid him after he said he was done cleaning my machine. next day i had so much dirt coming out from my ice maker. all day. called him. he ignored. took $300 cash. never seen a sight of him. i had to close my business that day because my machine was leaking black mold, cleaning was done improperly. i will do everything in my power to get this right. shady business ethic. using brand name to advertise his own business, putting my customers in harms way. this guy does not deserve a license of any kind. shame on you. and teaching his son wrong business ethics. please see picture. 3 hour job was done within 1 hour.

Terrible ( condescending) Family experience First: food was EXCELLENT Condescending experience began with John (Server) made a comment about family not tasting the broth. He stated that maybe we should have went to McDonald's. Food arrived late. Other tables were being served even though we ordered before other customers. Menu was still on the table. Soup arrived and placed by other server on top of menu. I was RUDELY asked if he (John) can take menu. It meant I had to STOP eating while he pickup the menu. Another server arrived with the main entree. Post meal: another server came pickup dishes then asked if we (family) would like dessert. We ordered to include coffee with cream and sugar. John finally showed up and if we ordered dessert. He was given the dessert order to include coffee with cream and sugar. Dessert arrived and coffee but NO sugar and cream. John came by reminded that cream and sugar didn't arrive. Cream arrived without sugar and spoon to stir. John was notified NO sugar and spoon. Coffee was cold already. John shouted "OH SH!T". He came back with sugar and pot of coffee. He poured hot coffee into cold coffee. John (server) made me feel like in human and Neiman Marcus wasn't for local family from the WEST! They have a lot of exclusive streetwear pieces located on the upper level. When they have the 40-70% off discounted sales - that's the best time to visit and stop by. Worth visiting when they have sales.

The store has all the right inventory and decent layout, but the service seems like its lacking. My wife and I both went browsing and soon realized that we were like the only customers on the floor even though it was midday on a weekend. The reason I mention that is because the ratio for staff member to customer was 10:1, so I'm unclear on why it was hard to get any help. We got passed on twice. We also never were greeted by the staff. We had to make the effort to get staffs attention for help. This did not meet my expectation for Neiman Marcus. The one near home has exemplary customer service. We left shortly after being passed around from one person to another.

Upscale. If you are a (swallowing hard when I say this) Wal-Mart, K-Mart, or "other" type of customer, this is not the place for you. My wife and I are Nordstrom aficionados and only, if at all possible, shop there for our clothes, accessories, and product goods. Neiman Marcus is a new twist to our class of places to "window shop" and, should the mood strike eventually, even shop, We noticed a nice carry-all bag with their logo on it atop the counter tops in the cosmetics area. I asked how we were to go about getting one and was informed that we needed to sign-up for a Neiman Marcus charge card. I was hesitant at first (for who needs yet another charge card, right?) though when we gathered a handful of goods to purchase, we opted to sign-up. The process was painless and only took a few minutes... maybe 10 minutes. While we were waiting we were provided complimentary cookies and bottled water; both with their namesake printed on the packaging. The lemon cookies were delicious, and following our Aveda Spa earlier, they went well with the lingering taste of their lemon mint ice water. You merely need to present your credit card and ID to sign-up for their covenant card. It came with an initial 10,000 bonus points, elevating you to the second level of shopper class. I'm happy to report it was painless to receive a very noteworthy line-of-credit. NOTE: If you use your Platinum or Centurion American Express Card to enroll, "you are NOT eligible for double or bonus point opportunities." So, if you carry another lesser card, use that. I didn't learn of this until I completely read the brochure when I returned home, so although this was something I would have liked to have known during the signing-up process, they still retain their 5-Star Rating. The staff are upscale and righteously so. They cater to the elite and although you may or may not be in their league to make regular purchases, do sign-up for their card. The bonus points provide you with a $25 bonus card to use the next time you arrive with an eye on something special. That's enough for most simple cosmetics or at the least, a discount on what you desire. If you like my review, please check a box below so I know I helped you. Cheers!

The salespeople are VERY snobby. We were browsing for shoes and weren't dress to the "T" in our designer clothing, but that doesn't mean we can't afford to pay for something. I was looking for a pair of shoes and noticed the salesgirl looking at my feet/sandals and making a small grimace. Hey, I saw you do that! HOW RUDE! Just because I wasn't wearing my Ferragamos doesn't mean I don't own any. Needless to say, I went to Macy's and found similar shoes with far better service!

The store is ok, although the salespeople are a bit snotty. Good selection of handbags, and I love Mariposa. It annoys me though that this store has different hours from the rest of the mall! What, Neiman Marcus, you too good to open and close with the rest of Ala Moana? Snotty.

We went to the Espresso Bar for lunch. Their pastry refrigerator was being repaired. I had asked the server Preston what they had for desserts. There's an older Oriental man who is the manager started raising his voice at me like I was 10 to sit down! I was offended! Preston being a more thoughtful person apologized for him. Which he wasn't in the wrong. I think you have the wrong person as the manager. Preston was wonderful!

My time in Neiman Marcus was short, which will not be the case for this review. Last night, we were looking for my grandmother throughout the mall. My family already had mall security involved, and we decided to split up in order to cover more ground to find her. She has dementia and walks with a cane, so it was imperative that we found her as soon as possible. I walked into Neiman Marcus, as this is one of the stores she frequently visits and has places to sit. Wandering around, I attempted to find any available sales associate. I walked up to a counter around the back left corner of the second floor to find a sales associate on her phone (not the desk one) with someone, and was patiently waiting to speak with her. Another saleswoman came out and asked if I needed any help. I explained that I was looking for someone, but did not specify it was my grandmother, and I did not get the chance to. After my first sentence, the saleswoman told me curtly and quite rudely that there were places to sit in every department and that I should look around the store. From her tone, I could tell she could care less and that it was a waste of breath talking to me, so I half-heartedly thanked her and began to look for someone else to help me. Thankfully, someone in the lingerie department was kind enough to let me explain my situation fully, and proceeded to check fitting rooms and suggest places for me to check. I am incredibly grateful for the woman in lingerie, but due to my first interaction within store premises, I will not be returning for any reason whatsoever.

Neimans has always been thought of as an expensive store....the merchandise they carry is sold at suggested retail...so no more than anyone else who carries the same item. I recently bought an item at another designer boutique store as a gift....it was about $200. I left the store and then realized that they put the item in the bag, however there was not box included. I called back and got a recording..so I told them my problem and asked them to call me back. They didn't...so I called again about an hour later. This time the guy that answered said that he heard my message, but didn't have time to return my call. I was then advised that they did not have any gift box for the item that I purchased....What!!! That same guy had been quite rude to a fellow worker earlier and I decided that I should spend my hard earned money elsewhere...where a customer is important! I returned the item to the designer store and purchased it at Neiman Marcus. It was nicely wrapped and placed in a nice NM bag...all for the same price.

I haven't been in this store forever! I forgot how much I love high class shopping! and I cannot wait until I can shop without thinking of prices...but anyways...i will have to come back. to shop, eat at mariposa, have a personal shopper... So yeah, I love the shopping layout! Everything is easy to find, people are around if you have questions and will provide assistance without hovering. I came in really just to use the restroom (since it was the closest one and I really hadda go). Ended up doing a little browsing and trying on of shoes...oops...shoes...well, more on that later. Restroom was so relaxing, I loved that there was a seating area (and it was full). Very clean, as expected. Before going to the restroom, I saw a display of my FAVORITE, all time FAVORITE cookies (Honolulu Cookie Company) in the shapes of BUTTERFLIES. Whhaaaaaat! They make butterflies specially for NM! I love love love that! Excellent. And it was right outside mariposa. I woulda stopped for eat but I was craving curry udon for a strange reason - all weekend. So yeah, no Mariposa on this visit. Well, now, SHOES! I LOVE their shoe section. The 3 shoes that caught my eye were these super cute ankle boots -2 had heels, one had a wedge. And what did I do, stupid me, I TRIED IT ON! They were UGGS and I swear I've never ever in my life wanted Uggs. Now, I've never wanted a pair of boots as much as this one! However, my elation of the fit and look was quickly deflated when I turned the shoe over and saw the pricetag...yup, I cannot justify spending half my paycheck on a pair of boots...So yeah - I guess I have something to work/save for. I was uber proud of myself for not walking out with the shoes. (because I have small feet I usually jump on top of shoes that fit me and will buy them). It was not the right day to buy shoes. But I still have them ingrained in my memory. What I will now work for is: a-come back to eat at Mariposa. b-boots. c-have a personal shopper just because I can.
