Best Restaurants in New Hope, Pennsylvania | Eater Philly

"The incredible view overlooking the canals and Bucks County Playhouse are just one reason to dine on Nektar’s balcony. More enticing is the charcuterie menu of foie gras pate, dry-cured duck saucisson, wagyu bresaola, chorizo, and more, plus at least six types of cheeses. Wash it all down with the many wine and whiskey flights, including bourbon, rye, fernet, Scotch, and Japanese whisky. Keep an eye open for tasting events from neighboring vineyards." - Kristen Kwiatkowski

Nektar is such a great spot. Was a great night, able to sit outside and enjoy some great food and wine. The tuna tacos and Wings by far were the favorite but everything was truly wonderful and Brittany was fantastic!

Nectar is quite the gem of a find. Huge assortment of wines and cocktails along with many small plate (quality) dishes. Very Mediterranean with the food choices with some unique items. The Petnat and Pinot Noir wine parings were great. Be sure to bring friends as the food is meant to be shared. Will definitely be back as there way to many great dishes yet to be experienced.

We visited Nektar for lunch on our most recent trip to New Hope, PA The space is unexpected and elegant, offering diners both inside and outdoor seating options. We were seated outside on a beautiful terrace nestled in a lush landscape that overlooks the bustle of the town. The menu is an eclectic assortment of small plates, flatbreads, salads and charcuterie boards, all of which compliment the generous array of beer, wine and whiskey options. We decided on a selection of small plates to share and the chilled red wine flight. The wine flight was a spectacularly curated succession from light and faintly carbonated to a more rounded, smoky full-body selection. Each offering had clearly delineated notes and flavors that perfectly complemented our meal. Our small plate selections included the Fried Cheese “Saganaki, Spinach and Chickpeas, Scallops and Tuna Tacos. The “Saganaki" style fried cheese was a delicious Halloumi breaded and served with lime, jalapeno and cilantro. The combination of the slightly salty and nutty cheese with the heat of the jalapeno, acidity from the lime and herbaceous notes of cilantro are fried cheese perfection!! The Spinach and Chickpeas were served with crostini. The saffron and cumin broth was very light and we felt it could have been enhanced by a bit more salt and perhaps some heat or acidity to break up the inherent starchiness of the chickpeas. The Scallops came enveloped in a flavorful curry and coconut broth and were delicately prepared. The curry notes were mild and the coconut and lime flavors took center stage to create a light and refreshing bite. The Tuna Tacos were fresh and perfectly prepared. I opted for no crema for this order, which can sometimes result in a dry taco, but the bright and delicious tomatillo sauce in these tacos ensured every bite was juicy and flavor packed!! These tacos were the shining star of the meal for me… delish!! Overall, Nektar is an awesome place to check out in New Hope! The beautiful space, attentive and congenial staff, absolutely amazing wine, beer and whiskey offerings and diverse and delicious small plates should not be missed!!

Absolutely perfect summer night despite the crazy humidity. Food, server, vibes all were unmatched. We enjoyed so many dishes and tried tapas style between the 4 of us. We truly enjoyed the truffle ravioli, the wings, and the honey tomato bruschetta the most!

Google
Go for the balcony ambiance!! Tapas are incredible. Had a good tequila cocktail but definitely more of a wine menu. We tried the ricotta tomato bruschetta and ceviche tostadas. Both great but dreaming of the ceviche! The sandwiches were just okay.

Google
A must try if in the New Hope area. Everything I tasted was so good. If you’re really into sweeter red wines, you may not find any here, but they do have a large selection. I had the truffle fries, bacon wrapped dates and prosciutto flatbread. No complaints! Sit outside to get the best ambiance.

Google
My poor review kills me. I love this place , but today the service is horrendous. I’m siting at the bar. The bartender never brought a menu ; I happened to grab one from a nice patron next to me. We waited awhile for him to ask us for a drink and then never really talked to us again. The manager is on the computer and his cell phone the entire time. My husband asked the manager for a flatbread. We did receive it but then were never offered anything for an extended matter of time. At this point I want to get out of here I asked to sample two wines and did get a sampling but could barely hear the mumbling of the bartender. I will say it was not crowded at all I can understand if the place is packed but it is not

Our visit to Nektar Wine Bar was fantastic! The extensive selection of drinks offers a lot to choose from. The food was excellent too - the Korean Fried Wings, Mushroom and Goat Cheese Flatbread, and Panko Shrimp were all delicious. Mia was a perfect host and took great care of us.

Yelp
This is a solid spot in the New Hope area. I have been here 15+ times and they are very consistent. The servers are solid and they are usually very knowledgeable on all the bevies. I always get the Korean wings and the meatball sliders. I have tried most of the items on the menu and they are pretty solid.

Yelp
Ok... this place was splendid! I wish they had Diet Coke and brought water out right away but in all this was some A service. The decor is s'cute. The cheese board is a must and the flatbread goat cheese and mushroom I wish we got two. That was delicious! I did not like the goat cheese and salmon because the bread they used wasn't the best. The truffle fries are a must as well. The perfect French fry with your own personal ketchup bottle. We sat out on the porch section the shade and trees above were a vibe on its own. My friend got the truffle hamburger and she rated it an 8.5 and my other friend said it was a 6. Nothing crazy but still good. I would come back here again for wine and cheese.

Yelp
The 3 of us were disappointed. Everything looked fantastic but our 6 choices ranged from OK to Good. The servers were all very nice as was the upstairs seating but the food was just lacking. I won't describe our shared plates in detail but they ranged from the Beet Salad, to the Bacon Flatbread, to the Short Ribs. We also had Truffle Fries, Korean Fried Wings and the Beef Wellington. Portion sizes were larger than what we remembered from our last visit but overall they all lacked seasoning and that "Wow-factor". We won't be in any particular rush to return.

Yelp
Best place in New Hope! Always great food, atmosphere, and service. We're now hooked on the Georgian wines that you can taste as a flight or by the glass.

Yelp
Absolutely loved the ambience, the food, AND the service. All the way around, I would highly recommend Nektar for their wide selection of offerings/small plates, which I personally prefer to huge portion sizes, plus the romantic vibe overlooking the canal. Our server, Anthony, was a 10/10 and made great recommendations, plus asked if there were any allergies before we'd even ordered anything. The attention to detail was so appreciated! Would highly, highly recommend Nektar for anyone looking for a great spot in New Hope. Much better than Olde Stone, Logan Inn, or Stella.

Yelp
Nektar is always a solid choice for dinner any night of the week or a snack and a great glass of wine( or thoughtful cocktail) on the weekends. Their fried halloumi is my favorite dish but we've never had a dud here and their waitstaff is incredibly kind and helpful. We inadvertently made a reservation at a wrong "Nektar" and they accommodated us with smiles and fit us in without hesitating.

Yelp
We went to celebrate our wedding anniversary Tuesday night at Nektar, we aligned on a romantic spot in New Hope overlooking the Playhouse minus the weekend tourist crowds. We were very excited as we arrived on time for our 5 pm reservation, and had a choice of tables for 2 out back on the upper deck, yet kitchen food prep issues marred our overall experience for the price point. We were drawn by the 4.2 star (out 721 reviews) but unfortunately, our experience was a 3 - 3.5 at best. This in no way reflects on Afrodite our server nor the large array of menu choices both foot and especially on libations. In summary, 2 of our 5 small plate dishes were well over cooked-- the pork tamales were burnt on the ends and dry and the dish I had my heart set on, the Chilean Sea Bass was well overcooked with dry uninspiring flavor. Very upsetting due to the cost of the dishes and the point that when we were served the place was virtually empty... should never had happened. As for the other dishes they too missed the point by being a few steps just above room temperature leading us to under if many dishes are prepared ahead of time and left to sit until ordered and then possibly heat lamp heated. Here's what we ordered: Opened with the beet salad (this was perfect), followed by the pork tamales, followed by the scallops (this was very good, but could have been warmer), chilean sea bass which was overcooked and dry, and lastly the Panko Shrimp which was okay. The certainly win for plating presentation as you'll see in my photos but with the other options in town, we'd think really hard about returning.

Yelp
Poor preparation and rushed service. All food came out within 15 minutes of ordering and was cold. Chocolate pudding was watery. Have had great experiences in the past. Dinner service tonight was awful.

Yelp
Went for lunch outside, server was amazing and super knowledgeable, gave great recommendations! The view was stunning with an upscale vibe. Tuna poke bowl was super fresh, and short rib was perfect.

Yelp
We needed a place to take a couple clients for a business dinner. Having enjoyed this place before we knew it would be a perfect fit. One client loves bourbon, and their list didn't disappoint. The small plates allowed everyone to try a wide variety of options. My only disappointment was the lack of vegan options. Considering the location, one would expect a wider accommodation. The service was outstanding and I was happy to give our server and extra few bucks to say thanks. It's a great place to take a bunch of friends to enjoy the open air seating and the beautiful view.

Yelp
If you think that a wine, beer, and whiskey bar can't also have great food- think again!! While these sandwiches may look regular, they are anything but! We got the Italian grilled cheese and Maple bacon grilled cheese- INCREDIBLE. (I especially loved the maple bacon, it really made the sandwich) and of course you can never go wrong with a little cheese board and tacos Side note: since I'm not a huge whiskey gal the staff was sooo lovely in helping reccomend stuff for me, and even let me try a few things!

Yelp
Love this place! Love this town. Nektar is a super fun spot, lots of drink options, enough small plates options to choose from that are unique and not totally overpriced (not underpriced either). The vibe and decor are great. Not necessarily a great spot for a large crowd. (Hopefully they don't still offer Chilean sea bass aka Patagonia toothfish - probably the most unsustainable fish a restaurant could offer.)

Yelp
This wine bar is very small & was fairly crowded on a recent Sunday. They have an upstairs area plus an outdoor patio. We sat at the bar for a quick drink & an appetizer. I ordered a glass of red wine & my hubby ordered a beer, plus we split meatball sliders. They have wine & champagne flights. The wine list was not huge but was fine, they have a few beers on tap, and maybe 6-8 cocktails they can make. Our bartender was nice but slow in taking our order & slow in getting us our bill that we requested. Overall though it was fine.

Yelp
Fabulous tapas and either wine, beer & whiskey spot with delicious appetizers. Great vibe with a modern flare located in the New Hope Village! Really love this spot, looking for somewhere to have dinner with four people who are looking to have fun. I went to Yelp and picked this spot because it had lots of shareable appetizers, craft beer, and a beautiful selection of wine, and also a get lot of different whiskey options. Location looked modern and contemporary with big glass windows and lots of fun! And boy was I right! We really had a blast, and I highly recommend this spot! Great for tourists, like me, a date or a fun, work group for lunch or after working hours! Our table had a high back chair with a low support for the back, but it was very comfortable and we really had a great time. There is a very large table in the center of the room that only has stools to sit on, not a problem for some of the younger people but I'm glad I didn't have to sit there because I do get back pain after a while, and it becomes uncomfortable for me. I'm not going to be able to remember everything that we had but their bruschetta option was out of this world! Their chicken wings, their pumpkin, ravioli, incredible flatbread, so good! The spinach pie is a very large appetizer compared to the others and delicious. Rice balls were fantastic! You can't go wrong, they recommend two plates per person at the table so we actually got eight plates for four people and that was great! We also got their ice cream cookie sandwiches for dessert and let me tell you that was one of the best things I've had in a long time! One issue I had was that they serve premium whiskeys, but their ice machine only gives them crushed ice. I am not a whiskey snob, but apparently it's a mortal sin not to use a regular square ice cube, with whiskey and never use crushed ice. Obviously it melts faster and dilutes these premium whiskeys. We asked the waitress and she said that's all they get, but this is certainly an area for improvement. Highly recommended spot. If you're looking for a fun place for dinner, they have a small balcony overlooking the lake in the back for outdoor seating. It looked really great, so if you're into the outdoor seating scene and want a high-level view of the street and the lake outside. Make sure you ask for that spot when making a reservations, as there are only about three or four tables out there

Yelp
I was not expecting the food to upstage the wine at Nektar, but it did just that. The menu includes a long list of delicious-sounding tapas, sandwiches, charcuterie, cheese, and other goodies. We mostly relied on our server for recommendations, and she gave us some great choices. Honey tomato bruschetta (Whipped ricotta, thyme, basil): this was so good! Maybe my fave dish of the night. A big, sprightly pile of tomatoes piled onto crispy toasts with a creamy layer of cheese and topped with honey. So decadent! Moses sleeper (cow cheese): No wait, this was my favorite! This brie was so creamy and nutty and delicious. However, I do wish it had been served with more accoutrements. Beet salad: this was uber fresh and made me feel like I had gone foraging out in the country for my dinner. Golden and red beets combine with decadent goat cheese and pecans, which were kind of unusual in a beet salad but worked really well. Korean fried wings: really good; the breading had a nice crunch. Sweet and umami soy flavors, and lightly spicy. Lightly spicy. I had the light white wine flight and a glass of Lucashof Trocken (dry) Rosé. All were good, but I need to highlight the standout, the rose! Really great option if you like a dry, but fruity and refreshing, rose. I can really see Nektar becoming a go-to for us on our visits to New Hope! The ambience is also very nice, both inside of the restaurant and out on the patio, which overlooks the water.

Yelp
I've come here a number of times over the past 6 years although this is my first time back since the COVID pandemic. I am always conscious to try and support the local businesses in New Hope. This was one of my favorite restaurants for small plates and a warm atmosphere. Unfortunately I can't put my finger on it although it's lost a bit of its original charm. I would rate their food about a 3 by todays visit. You definitely need to make a reservation for the weekends and state where you would like to sit. I did not have a reservation so I had to settle for either one of the two tiny tables by the bar, sit at the bar or outside which was not great as it was cool and windy. The host and waiter were nice. One issue was the bartender served the two small tables so although he did his best he had to walk around the entire bar to get us it was not convenient if we needed to get his attention. The restaurant is nice although we did not get to sit in the main area so we lost the view and we're in a cramped corner. They have an extensive wine, liquor and beer list and the list of drinks is more than twice the size of the menu for food. The food today was just ok, these are small plates and the dishes we had were really bite size. I'm being a little critical as I remember my last experience being much better with much more tasteful dishes. We started with the Ahi Tuma tacos. You get 3 bite size tacos, one issue is the tuna is cooked well done which is not a great option for Ahi tuna. I would have thought they would offer it raw or black and blue. We also had the Mexican corn salad. This was ok and did not have a lot of flavor. Very small portion probably 4 or 5 teaspoons. Last was the lobster sliders. This was two small sliders, overpowered by the slice of tomato on each. Normally this comes with bacon which I opted out of. Nothing special more Mayo and tomato flavor. I would recommend them for drinks or hanging out at the bar. You need to order a lot of small plates to get filled up. Sorry to say I'm on the fence if I will be back as it's just not up to my previous experience.

Yelp
We stopped in for a glass of wine, they had a nice selection of wines by the glass. The food looked appetizing on the menu though we didn't partake as we had dinner plans later in the evening. We will definitely stop by again next time we're in New Hope.

Yelp
Came to celebrate my birthday with good friends. No reservation, three of us, sat easily at the bar. The bartender was clearly overextended, which is a management issue. We were there shortly before 5PM and there were three parties sat at the bar and three parties sat at tables near the bar and covered by the bartender who also made drinks for the entire restaurant. It was about 40 minutes before we placed an order, drink order included. The drinks were just ok. Pours on bourbon flights were minuscule and the bartender should know if a bourbon needs a drop of water or one rock to reach its potential. This bartender knew nothing about what we were served and just offered a glass of ice to add to our liking. The food was imbalanced. The honey ricotta tomato bruschetta was all tomato - no honey or ricotta flavor. The same with the lobster roll BLT sliders - no lobster could be detected. Just tasted like bacon. The prosciutto flatbread looked anemic and was inedible. It was one slice of prosciutto on an undercooked flatbread with a large pile of arugula on top. So much of the food was almost there. But there was an imbalance of flavor that couldn't be overlooked. Im very MEH on this place and likely won't be back.

Yelp
Saw this place when we came to lambertville previously, and decided to visit on Christmas Eve Eve. We should have made reservations, as the table upstairs were unavailable, and that's where we wanted to sit. Service was prompt and helpful. The wines were all good, and we each got wine flights for $30. I would definitely get truffle fries again, but might pass on the bruschetta because it was sweeter than I would have liked. The salad was good, I liked the squash with the feta cheese.

Yelp
This was not our first time at Nektar and we were excited to introduce friends to one of our favorite restaurants in the area! Food: the short rib and truffle burger are our go to. The short rib is tender, flavorful and the mashed potatoes are really creamy. The truffle burger is insane. It's packed with flavor and always perfectly cooked. We loved the tuna tacos! They were delicious. We were a bit disappointed with the seafood manicotti and the sea bass. Both were lacking a bit of flavor and could've used more sauce. This was the reason for 1 star off. Loved the sour! Ambiance: the restaurant is beautiful. It's nicer inside and has a warm feeling. There are high tops upstairs and standard tables downstairs. The outdoor patio is gorgeous in the spring. Service: our server was great. He was super polite and patient with us while we waited for our friends to arrive. He made some great suggestions from the menu and we were glad he did. Great food, beautiful restaurant and overall very nice experience!

Yelp
First and foremost: come for Nektar's really interesting, carefully curated wine list, and linger to share delicious small plates. We visited for the first time to celebrate my birthday in early January. Server Alex was professional and attentive throughout. The setting was warm and inviting, despite chilly outdoor temps. We started out with flights of Beaujolais and sparkling wines. The wines were delicious without exception. We ordered several small plates, too. Grilled octopus and roasted brussels sprouts were our faves, and the simple arugula salad was good too. Seafood manicotti was just okay, though, because it was under seasoned. So choose wisely! I appreciate Nektar as a first-rate, friendly wine bar. I expect we'll return!

Yelp
I loved the vibe of this place. it's in New Hope so plenty of things to do around also, our waiter was extremely kind and helpful, he definitely knew his stuff. The short rib was so tender and the creme brulee was amazing. I'm also not a huge fan of beers or ciders but was recommended the pear cider and it's probably the first cider I've ever finished, haha, I'll take that as a success!
google avatar

Yelp
Dinners need more tight, intimate spaces with all the natural sunlight. New Hope needs to be a mainstay in my future travels. They sat us along a pretty long, public table which actually made for great conversations amongst new friends. The bruschetta starters set the tone for the evening, as we let the espresso martinis flow prior to the main dishes. Word to the wise, grace before meals (before any occasion) just makes the food taste so much better .
google avatar

Mindy G.

Yelp
The food was very disappointing. I got the goat cheese & smoked salmon with Apple, fennel, cucumber pesto. They bread was stale, the portion was non-existent(I am not lost on this place being tapas, but it was a sandwich and nothing was in it.). The table behind me sent their flat bread back saying it was burnt cardboard. This place has the prices of a five star restaurants, but the food from a grade school cafeteria lunch.

Yelp
We had a nice meal on Saturday night- sitting outside with views of the river. Ordered the medium movies wine flight and bourbon flight for $30 each. We both enjoyed 2/3 and enjoyed the variety. The service was attentive and very fast (the food came out a bathed of minutes after we ordered!). The short rib and potato was very good flavor-wise but temperature was warm, not hot. We liked the crispy Korean wings the best. The tomato honey bruschetta was fresh but a little heavy on the tomato for us. The ambiance and service were 5/5, drinks 4/5, and food 3.75/5. Definitely worth a visit!

Sydney W.

Yelp
Went here a couple of weeks ago for the first time and I was super impressed. Our waiter was really friendly and helpful. The inside was gorgeous and the service was great. We got a bunch of small plates and I didn't have any complaints about any of them. We got the truffle ravioli which was amazing, Korean fried wings (which I never had before and am now obsessed), beef Wellington which was also immaculate, portobello fries, and maple bacon grilled cheese (MY FAVORITE). Absolutely recommend this place.

Taru S.

Yelp
Amazing service!! Great food and many wonderful options even if you are vegetarian or gluten free. Excellent wine flights. Tony was extremely knowledgeable and helpful and the manager particularly gracious. I am on chemo and they were especially careful about seating our party and just so kind! I will absolutely be back and would whole heartedly recommend them

Noreen C.

Yelp
My first visit to Nektar was to buy a bottle of wine for dinner at a local BYO restaurant. The servers couldn't have been nicer and, after a glance at the menu, I decided to go back for dinner another night. My meal was the highlight of my visit to New Hope! The Sea Bass in lobster sauce was delicious, the Beet Salad "tower" was so refreshing and the white wine Anthony recommended paired nicely with both and the cheese course. I highly recommend Nektar.

Yelp
Was in town for a wedding and needed a quick bite. The food was great as was the service and wine.

Yelp
We were very excited to try this place out as it's beautiful and has a great view of the river. Reservations were easy on Thursday and the interior is very nice. Our server was excellent and attentive. The exterior is quite small and we ended up being seated on the same bench as another couple, practically on top of each other. The food was nice, good prosciutto flatbread, the dip with the portabella fries was great. Ravioli was sub par in terms of the truffle flavor. Bruschetta was tasty. If I didn't have to spend 30 dollars on a wine flight maybe I'd be less critical - though the pours were at least not incredibly stingy, and tasty. If you have the money, it's a beautiful view of the river and very delightful wine selection.

Yelp
I had great memories of a previous eatery here, and was happy to see some remnants of that place are part of the decor. But this is perhaps a more focused business, and I mean that in a good way. It starts with the beverage choices. As a wine bar you kind of expect to find flights and some unique options. But that extends to whiskey, bourbon or scotch flights too. I didn't even bother to look at the wine list because the tap list while being shorter had several interesting items. I loved my sour, and easily could have had more or tried other things from that list. My friends enjoyed the Greek wine flight and a cocktail or 2 from that short list, as well as various beers. The food choices were varied and interesting as well. The cheese plate we had was nice and I doubt there is a bad choice of meats or cheeses. Flatbreads were kind of pricey for the size but tasty, and with a seasoned crust. The beet salad looked amazing and though I did not try it, may have been the best thing from the kitchen on this visit. The petite Wellington was ok, the beef was tender but so small as to be easily overcooked. Service was outstanding and I even heard good things about the bartender on duty. The space itself is very inviting too, we sat upstairs in the window encased patio deck which offers some great views. I think sitting outside on the ground level would be nice too. I see this as a foodies choice where beverage options may be best in New Hope, with interesting and sometimes very well done small plates.

Yelp
Came in here on a hot Saturday mid day. We didn't have reservations but sat at the bar so it was not a problem. Many people came in for tables with no reservations and were seated promptly but then it started to fill up so it would be wise to make reservations if you are not going to sit at the bar. We didn't order food as this was before our dinner reservations at Stella but we viewed their food menu and it looked good and we saw food coming out for others that looked good so I would definitely come back to order food. We tried a wine flight each. I did the sparkling wine flight and my husband the Rose. All wines were great. After our flights we ordered several glasses of wine thereafter - Riesling, verdelho blend, and then others. All glasses of wine were good but I also attribute that to me (patting myself on the back) from reading the descriptions and making decisions based upon that and my wine preferences. I did see other couples getting some samples so that is an option as well. Staff were so kind and amazing. I think the prices were reasonable for a wine bar because we had one wine flight each and then 3 full glasses each and before tip our bill was $130. Which IMO you cannot beat. I would definitely go out of my way to come back to new hope for this place. They also have a decent beer and liquor offerings. Ambience and staff amazing.

Yelp
Such a cute restaurant. Our waitress was so knowledgeable about the menu and the wine and whiskey flights that we got. Food was delicious besides the tuna tartare, bland sea bass, and beef Wellington. But the good was the wings, short rib, ceviche, and octopus. For dessert we had coffee, tiramisu, and strawberry shortcake. Both were so good but honestly took forever to come out. Would definitely recommend though!

Yelp
Looking for a place, I wandered into Nektar for the first time. I requested outdoor dining and was seated in the lower deck, which was nice, although sometimes traffic noise on the street was annoying. I ordered the beet salad and the maple bacon grilled cheese. Both were superb. I was very impressed with the presentation of the beet salad, which was an unexpected visual treat. I l liked the small plate concept. No issues with the service. A great meal and a fine experience, definitely on my revisit list!

Yelp
This is our third visit to nectar. The wine, whiskey and beer flights make it a fun spot to go with friends. This time we were able to sit outside on one of the decks. Great outdoor space . All of the small plate items we shared were delicious. The charcuterie boards, although expensive, had top quality options such as pate. The beet salad was outstanding as well as the chicken wings and octopus. Lots of choices for everyone. Just be prepared for a pricey check. Enjoy!

Yelp
Sorely disappointed with Nektar. Emailed the place to get a reservation for a large party about 3 weeks before my event. Got everything confirmed and the morning of, I called and they said - oh she's not in today and didn't put it in the system ! Just dysfunctional. To their credit they did 'offer' to split our group and put us in two different parts of the restaurant ! How helpful !

Yelp
Awful from beginning to end. They only have high top tables. We were a cramped party of 8so not a good start. I ordered the truffle burger. I was told that they don't let you decide the temperature of your own burger. They all come out medium which I thought was fine. Dry meat was dry and the bun seemed like it was from the day old bin. For desert I had the churros. They were cold and hard. Usually in a restaurant, if you only take one bite and leave the rest, someone will ask you if everything was ok. Not here. There are so many good choices in New Hope. This place is not one.

Yelp
One of our favorites in New Hope! They have an extensive menu of wine, whiskey, and beer, but don't skip the food. It's excellent, as is the setting. Lots of outdoor seating under cover if you come on a rainy day. Turkey sandwich is surprisingly fantastic. I am now gluten free, and the choices were sadly limited to a small number of dishes, mostly salads, but my choice today, a beet salad with goat cheese and arugula was sooo good.

Yelp
This is our 3rd overall visit to Nektar over the past couple years and the food has been okay to decent but never great. A couple things to consider before visiting. Reservations are highly recommended, especially on weekends including lunchtime. New Hope is a busy area, and this restaurant offers great views in a relaxed but upscale environment overlooking the bridge and people passing by. Specify which table you would prefer before booking if you want a good seat. Pros-Great attentive service, amazing beer, wine, and cocktails selection including progressively price-tiered tasting flights, fantastic views and a relaxing environment. Cons-Food offerings are quite complex, but the quality is hit or miss. You're not going to have a bad meal at Nektar, but you won't be leaving feeling blown away either. Also, they are frequently out of many items on the menu, not sure if this is a distribution issue but the past couple times we visited we were told items on the menu were no longer available. This past weekend we booked reservations for lunch and ordered truffle ravioli, beef wellington, taleggio cheese sampler and a mushroom and scallion flatbread. The flat bread was good, nicely charred and had a hot and crispy bite that demanded a go around for a second slice. The Wellington was decently flavored but it was overcooked, however the accompanied mashed potatoes and gravy were tasty buttery goodness. The raviolis were served as 4 large pieces, but they lacked truffle flavor. I wouldn't order the raviolis again but the other 2 items were worth a revisit. This was our third visit to Nektar, and the food quality has been consistent ranging from okay to decent but no real changes overall. I would still recommend Nektar but I would also highly suggest advanced reservations in order to secure a great seat with a view and enjoy some of their great wine or Scotch flights; just don't expect to be blown away by the food menu.

Yelp
We really enjoyed Nektar wine bar! My husband and I got reservations before seeing a show across the street at the theater. The location is great and it's a cute little restaurant! You definitely should get reservations through Resy if you want to go. For drinks, I had the winter punch (the mezcal in the drink overpowered everything else) and a wine from the limited time list. The wine was a white wine of the Viognier variety, aged in stainless steel. I loved this wine! My husband got an old fashioned. For the food: They had a bacon jam and brie bruschetta that was really great! The smoked duck salad was good! I especially liked the type of bleu cheese they used in it. Another standout were the Korean wings. Really lovely sauce and very crispy. Just okay--the beef Wellington. I liked the mashed potatoes and the sauce, but the beef itself was lacking in flavor. Most underwhelming of the night was the dish I was most excited about! The truffle ravioli. The ravioli were hard around the edges, like they were undercooked. And the sauce had no hint of truffle whatsoever. It was a bland Alfredo sauce. The tiramisu was just okay. Overall, we would come here again! Excited to try more menu items.

Yelp
We had such a great lunch & experience here! The atmosphere is cozy and warm. The staff was also very helpful. Our waiter was great and attentive as well. We got a few small plates to share and each one was delicious. We got the beet and goat cheese salad over arugula. It was fresh and presented so pretty! We got the octopus which was delicious and cooked to perfection. What a great touch the mango was. We also got the portobello fries which were so creative and so yummy and fried so well. Not greasy at all. We also got a mushroom flat bread which was pretty good but it could of had more mushrooms. We also got some fresh cauliflower and carrots. We had a wine of glass as well, and our waiter was great about letting us sample some until we found the ones we liked. All in all we had a great lunch here and would definitely come back to try more!

Yelp
Super diverse, extensive, long wine list!! And the list of small plates/tapas really makes this place stand out. Small enough to be intimate, but big enough to to accommodate most patrons. Kitchen is open till 10:45, which is a super plus!

Yelp
Visited 10/28/2022 We always love visiting the Lambertville/New Hope area... and always eager to find a great place to eat and drink. My wife found Nektar on the way here and again... great pick honey! We started with a 5 selection charcuterie board... some prosciutto, Wagyu Beef Bresaola (think Wagu jerky... just amazing!) and 3 excellent cheeses. My wife had the lobster pot pie, which she loved and I had the scallops (Thai curry, coconut lime broth) which was very yummy also. As this is a tapas restuarant... those 2 'entrées' just wasn't enough... so a Maple bacon grill cheese was ordered and quickly devoured. We really liked this place and look forward to coming back, although walking along the street and seeing all the amazing restaurants we passed... I hope we make it back again. lol. (I'm sure we will! )

Yelp
Great scene with an impressive bar and wine list, to say the least. Love the wine and alcohol flights, very inventive and good for sampling an array of flavors. The small plates menu is almost overwhelming but I enjoyed a number of bites, in particular the octopus and some of the salads. Our waiter was kind but had a lot on his proverbial plate, so was absent from time to time during a lunch date there. I found the coffee a nice pick-me-up and cleared out some of the vino veritas that I was experiencing! A lot of great views with all the windows, although the space is on the smaller side so expect a good amount of decibels. I would have preferred some cozier seating versus only the tall bar stool/chair vibe, but I suppose that better fits the ambiance and raison d'être of the location. I could see this being a five with a touch more refinement or a second try.

Yelp
Came here (on 10/9) with the hubby and our crew to celebrate our wedding anniversary. This wine and whisky bar is across from the Bucks County Playhouse in New Hope. We came for the small plates and few cocktails before heading to dinner. Our waiter (Anthony & Ivy) were awesome, giving us great recommendations on a charcutier board and drinks for our large group. The place is narrow, but it fit our needs. It's a cool place with great vibes. Highly recommend this place and will definitely visit again. Thanks for making our anniversary memorable.

Yelp
I haven't tried the food yet except the cheese board with wine. I am planning to go back for food. Wine list was amazing. Staff are nice and attentive. It's a cute spot for a date night.

Yelp
The menu changes sometimes but everything is clearly marked GF, V -- for those of us with some food limitations. The octopus here is DELICIOUS. That's capitalized for emphasis. It's very nicely charred and paired with mango slices and an aged balsamic that makes for a delicious bite. There's also arugula for garnish but that's clearly more for presentation (it does not add or take away from the bite). The Korean Fried Wings are nice and crispy. If you've had Korean fried wings before, this will suffice. The sweet & savory sauce they're mixed in is a quite nice. You'll enjoy them if you've never had korean fried wings but they aren't out of this world. The beef cheek is delicious! I do recommend this item though I'm not the biggest beef/steak eater. I tried it for the sake of this review and it's yummy. The beef has notes of cinnamon or cardamum. Very aromatic, nicely seasoned, and paired with fluffy rice. The sea bass is delicious as well! Perhaps a bit dry for some people but I found the texture quite nice. This dish is paired with white rice and a super rich and super creamy roasted squash puree -- the real star of this dish in my humble opinion. My boyfriend ordered the short rib plate -- the mashed potatoes are delicious, the crispy onions give it a nice crunch and the short rib falls apart. Very tender. Be weary though, this is probably the size of an entree -- the portion is significant. Lastly, I ordered the dark chocolate pudding. Great temperature and deliciously rich. Service is great. Nestled in a picturesque corner of the quaint New Hope -- you can't go wrong. Good luck finding parking though!
