My group of 6 was looking for lunch/brunch within MGM, so we could start our full day in Vegas. The place didn't have too many customers when we came around 11am. It's actually very large inside and even has a small stage. Apparently, live music on the weekends.
We had never heard of it, but noted the poster with a black chef at the entrance, so we definitely wanted to try. We arrived at the hostess stand, in hopes of being seated, we waited a few minutes and were seated pretty quickly.
Food - I wasn't super hungry, but I wanted something on my stomach to get through the day. I ordered the biscuit basket for the table. It comes with 4. Then another person at our table ordered another basket, so everyone could try. So we ended up with 2 baskets for the table. The biscuits came with butter and jam. They were fine, homemade maybe, but just ok.
Someone also got fried okra for the table. This was fine. I think I would have preferred it if they sautéed the okra first and then fried it, rather than basically flash fried. It came off as very crisp with too light of flavoring. Which some dinners may enjoy, taste preference wise.
For my entree, I ordered grilled shrimp. They were seasoned well, and it came with a side of sautéed veggies.
My friend ordered the fried lobster and waffles, and she seemed to enjoy that, which costs about $50ish, I think, as market price.
Service- Our server was efficient but not personable at all. He may have been busy, as the place started to become crowded mid meal, and by the time we walked out, it was full. Won't hold this against the place.
This place will do in a pinch, but I likely wouldn't visit again.
