Google
Delicious and family owned! Cash only- so be prepared because we almost didn’t have enough. My husband found this place on Yelp and it was a great find! Their beef spring rolls and pho were so delicious! My husband got their Bun Bo Hue and it was good (according to him, I tried it and am not a fan of that dish in general). Pricing is very good and reasonable as well! Service was great and they are friendly and helpful (packed our leftover for us). My husband already wants to come back here (and so do I)!

Google
What a great little Pho house in Alhambra! It’s cash only so be ready for that. The woman serving me was very kind and the pho and egg rolls were awesome. Possibly the best Pho broth I’ve ever had. I highly recommend

Google
We ate here last weekend and were so glad we did. The Pork Vermicelli bowls were delish! I want to post a photo if I figure out how? The server was very friendly and the food came out very fast.

Google
CASH only! Broth was clean, and tasty. Pork with crunch spring roll was delicious! Just like Brodard (and it's copycat Summer Rolls). We ordered to go. Staff spoke English. #32. Combination Pho Dac Biet $12.95 #33. Bun Bo Hue $12.95 (said yes if want everything when asked) Pork with crunch, Spring rolls (3). (Wow yeah, they do make it and the sauce to be very similar to Brodard, and Summer Rolls as other reviewers mentioned.) Beverage #5 Rau Ma $3.50 (They offer with or without sugar. I asked for light sugar.)

Google
Asian owned, I got the BBH IYKYK, everything was fresh, service was fast. Cash only 🧧🧧🧧 I got a coffee to go as well, it got me torqued!!!

Google
Super tasty. Great bun cha (pork over vermicelli with spring rolls), good goi cuon (and big), and the best cha gio I’ve had in the states! Iced Vietnamese coffee was excellent and not overly sweet. Good price and really nice people too.

Google
Nice and consistent mom and pops Vietnamese restaurant. The owners are super sweet and the food is cheap and authentic. I asked them to raise the prices like every other restaurant is doing and they told me they’re thinking about it. They don’t know if they will retire or keep going. That put me in a good depression. I hope they continue on but I do support all folks doing what they want. If this place goes I won’t know where to get my Bun Bo Hue or Pho. The spring rolls aren’t the best but the vermicelli bowls are good. I’ve been coming here for many years and will keep coming back as long as they’re here.

Google
The food here is phenomenal! It’s a small restaurant with a very homey feel to it. There’s a wide variety of items on the menu, but I came here specifically for the bun bo hue and was not disappointed. The nem, which they are known for, was of course delicious as well. I’m not sure if patrons order drinks here very often, but I got a fresh lemonade soda and thought it was so refreshing! Definitely one of the top Vietnamese restaurants I’ve been to.

Yelp
Ordered the #7 (banh beo steam rice cakes) and #8 (nem cuon pork spring roll). The rolls were tasty and fresh, the orange sauce it comes with was good and vibrant too. The steamed rice cakes were good but the sauce for them opened in the bag during my drive home and spilled all over the bag so the rice cakes didn't have the sauce to go with it. They also didn't come with crispy wontons. Judging by pictures shared on here, if you dine in it comes with the crispy wontons. Other places I've tried had croutons. Service was quick and friendly. An older man welcomed me when I walked in and an older woman took my order. The woman was very sweet. I was really impressed by how fast I got my to go order and it was a holiday too! Inside has tables for dine in and I noticed one big table with the lazy Susan inside which looked cool and authentic. CASH ONLY. That's very important because I didn't know this but luckily I had some cash with me. Ample parking in the parking lot. I would like to try the pho if I come here again because it looks delicious.

Yelp
A long time staple with a few wins and a few losses. Service 4.5 Compared to most other establishments, the service is kind and attentive. They are helpful and check regularly. Ambiance 4 Older establishment with very clear owner/operator vibes. They cleaned off clean tables when we arrived. So that was very nice to see Food 3.75 The biggest win is the banh beo. Fresh and super tasty.. if you can't handle a lot of spice it's nice to put the birds eye Chile in the nouc Cham to get light spice with fresh Chile flavor without the burn. Not a fan of the bun bo hue here. It's clear and fresh but lacks a little depth in the broth. Also my pigs foot was very chewy. If you like your Cha Gio with lettuce and veg, it doesn't come with pickled carrots and daikon, which was a bit of a loss for me. Anyway, good spot to support locally owned businesses and always get the banh beo.

Yelp
When you walk in and see a huge "CASH only " sign and can only go to a generic atm machine at the liquor store 2 doors down with $2.50 charge on top of out of network charges your bank might impose, they must be THAT confident of their food... I drive to Little Saigon for my cravings, but this was the selected meeting spot for a lunch with non-local family who frequent regularly. We got the beef and shredded pork cuon and the banh beo for appetizers, and two pho tai and one bun Bo hue dac biet. The cuon were filled with all the fixings and I loved that they added rau ram and all types of herbs. My go-to back in the day was Saigon Deli in the outskirts of Little Saigon. Sadly, it closed or changed ownership and the portions got smaller and the flavors more diluted. So this hearty bowl was nostalgic. Decent parking for this small strip mall!

Yelp
Famous with those Egg rolls, spring rolls... rice papers rolls... and also rich cake with dried shrimp or pork paste!!! I've not tried the Egg rolls and others!! Next time I will .... Rice cake shrimp paste, is an excellent appetizer dish and also other kinds of rice cakes too!!! However, the Pho wasn't too tasty, not so bad. But there're a lot of pho shops that provide a better quality of broths n meats.... It's a small family shop, only a few tables... services were so friendly!!!

Elaine Z.

Yelp
The couple who owns this place is so sweet. I like the banh beo and any of their grilled sour pork dishes. You can make your own spring rolls here, which is a lot of fun. The bun bo he is good too. Get the extra strong Thai tea.

Helen Q.

Yelp
A small very casual sit in place. It's known for their rolls and Banh Beo. I called in my order for take out. It took about 20-25 mins to make 3 orders of banh beo. Came out piping hot and so delicious. I also ordered Bun Bo Hue. It was only mildly-moderately spicy imo, which allows you to enjoy the broth without the spice level being so overpowering as some other places. Would definitely come again.

Ren N.

Yelp
Really good pho and pork chop dish. Nothing is overtly salty or oily. Run by mostly older Vietnamese uncles and aunties, it felt so authentic the moment you come into this place. Almost feels as if you're eating in their dining room because it's so small. Business is good all the way up to closing. Bathroom is large and clean only available for customers. Come out and support these uncles and aunties!!

Lili C.

Yelp
A gem of a place. It's a small and busy restaurant (we were there on a weekend) and the bahn beo photos on yelp were what caught my attention. So delicious. We also ordered spring rolls and everything was really fresh! Will definitely come back and will try the com tam and pho next time! Note that this place is CASH only.

Giovanni P.

Yelp
Service was quick and fast friendly with a smile . Food was delicious ! Bun Bo hue and got what yelp recommended the white little baked rice things delicious .

Tiana H.

Yelp
Very solid com tam (broken rice) and delicious nem nuong, especially with the shrimp eggroll inside. The place is pretty small inside, but there are a sufficient amount of seats. We were seated right away on a Sunday afternoon. The service is what you would normally get at an Asian restaurant. I would definitely come back to order the same thing, but I also want to try the banh beo and bun bo hue. Everything was also reasonably priced!

Christina W.

Yelp
There is something about comfort food that speaks to my soul. Nem Nuong Khanh Hoa can sing lullabies to me everyday. This tiny, family feel Vietnamese restaurant boasts an extensive menu that will satisfy any palate and any hunger level. They have appetizers, soup dishes, rice dishes, and desserts. There is so much to choose from for any appetite. I really came for the banh beo Chen Tom chay. I've been craving it for months and not many restaurants in the area offer it on their menus. It definitely satisfied the craving. It's a popular dish with most customers. The nem nuong rolls were delicious too but it was missing a flavor. I felt the meat needed a little more salt. Otherwise, still a go-to for me at any Vietnamese restaurant. Eggs rolls are always a chef's kiss for me. Pho dac biet is always a popular dish and this one did not disappoint. Broth was flavorful, noodles were cooked perfectly and just the right amount of meat and garnish. The employees were so sweet and attentive. It's very apparent that they take pride in their food and service. They were very hard working and made sure we had a great dining experience. The restaurant is small. I recommend going during non-peak hours or you may have to wait for a table. It's not ideal for big groups- they only have one large table for 8 people. The rest were two or four tops. They are located in a small strip mall with limited parking. But you drive around for street/ neighborhood parking. This establishment is cash only.

Brian V.

Yelp
Really tiny Vietnamese restaurant located in a tiny strip mall. Also cash only (I had to go next door to the liquor store to get cash). This place has neighborhood gem energy all over it. The menu is pretty extensive relative to the size of the place and has some items that is personally hard for me to find without travelling to OC and the prices were super reasonable as well. The service and folks here are super friendly. It almost feels like I'm at a family member's house and they're trying to feed me. Or at the very least, family friends. I probably could've left the restaurant full or satisfied ordering one of these items, but since I was so excited to see them available here, I ordered both the bun bo hue (pretty spicy) and the banh beo. Both were so delicious and fresh. The bun bo hue came with super fresh greens and lime. The sauce for banh beo was very tasty and peppers were on the side to add to your liking. Since the bun bo hue/ noodle soup was already spicy enough, I limited my sweating by not using the peppers on the other dish, haha. I ended up eating all the banh beo since that might be near impossible to take to go after, but had to get a container for most of my bun bo hue since I ordered way too much food for one person. It was a small restaurant, but I was still surprised how busy it was during a weekday. Great for them! It was just that I have been eating at a lot of places in the area during the week at night and places don't feel as busy as they should. There was parking in the lot of the location, but there also seemed to be a lot of street parking close by.

Yelp
Thanks to all the Yelp reviewers that led me here to celebrate my birthday with friends. I love menu items where they have a special for groups of 2 or 4. We went with the special for 4 for $49.95: 4 varieties of pork/nem, eggrolls and fried wonton w/shrimp, banh hoi & rice paper with lots of veggies and herbs. It's a dynamic eating experience because you are rolling your own rolls however you like and dipping them into two kinds of sauces. We were a group of 6 so we also ordered two orders of pho and the banh beo as an appetizer. It was delicious, fresh and healthy. I did not really care for the banh beo so next time will opt for the spring rolls as appetizers. This is a small, mom and pop place and it does get filled up quickly. There is a small sink in the front to wash your hands but the bathroom is in the back past the kitchen. Service is pretty good. Cash only! Highly recommend this place, especially if you like nem!

Janet H.

Yelp
Found this little gem this past weekend and I can't wait to go back. It's a small mom and pop shop, but very clean with a small convenient parking lot. We were craving banh beo and this place came up down the street from where we were staying in Alhambra. If you're only here for one thing, definitely get the banh beo with shrimp and nem nuong cuons. Everything came out fairly fast and was super fresh and so tasty! Make sure you bring cash, since this place is cash only and be aware of their times, we rushed in about 30 mins before they closed, but they were still so nice to serve us. 10/10 recommended and I would definitely go again next time we are in town!

Yelp

Yelp
Love this restaurant! This is my go to spot for spring rolls, but I've had their other dishes like pho and rice dishes and they're all great. Service is also always great. Restaurant is a bit small so when it gets busy it's a tight squeeze.

Kelsey H.

Yelp
My mom was visiting me from out of town and really wanted to have some Vietnamese food. To be honest we don't actually know a lot about Vietnamese food so we went to Yelp and found the closest highest rated restaurant we were not disappointed. My mom really like spring rolls so we have course got an order of that and it was so good. The sauce wasn't what I was expecting but I wasn't disappointed. I really enjoyed it. The second thing that we ordered was the bahn beo because I had seen it in the yelp reviews. The owner actually seemed hesitant to recommend it to us but we enjoyed it so much. I had never had anything like it. It was delicious and I would definitely have it again. We got the half and half order (half pork and half fish). I wish I could give more details about the food, but to be honest, I wasn't completely sure what was in each item, But the owner was very helpful. I will definitely come back

Yelp
Today i decided to try a new Yelp review and dined at Nem Nuong Khanh Hoa instead of my normal favorite place. This is small place with about 8 tables (2 large tables seat 6-8) and tables comfortably seat 4. Parking in front with 1 handicap stall in front of neighbor liquor store. The pho was the best . The rice noodles were combination of generous big bowl of wide and regular width rice noodles. Fresh basil, sprouts, jalapeno, and huge wedge of lemon. I ordered rare steak with tripe. My mom ordered well done flank and steak pho (she wanted to go to our normal place) but we were so pleasantly surprised. I also order the rice cakes with the ground dried shrimp (9 pieces). The service was so friendly and accommodating. The restaurant is posted with A for cleanliness . No customer restroom. Definately will return. It was a rainy cold day and their pho it the spot. Thanks for Yelp review had i found this hidden gem. Do not let the outside and inside fool you, their food was excellent. congratulations! Will be back to try other dishes. Cash Only

Yelp
trying to expand my vietnamese food horizon so I decided to check out this local mom and pop for lunch. the vibes are casual and homey with a good sized menu. i came here specifically to try the banh beo and bun bo hue. bahn beo bi ($8.25) | 4.2/5 this comes with nine rice cakes topped with shredded pork that you scoop out from these small ceramic dishes. it comes with a fish based sauce that was addictive. the dish itself tasted a lot like the baby shrimp. i enjoyed this alot! my first time trying it so I can't compare it to other places bun bo hue ($13.95) | 4.3/5 finally trying bun bo hue for the first time. the broth has a great level of depth and just a tad hint of spice and sourness. it gives a kick without being overwhelmingly oily like some other spicy noodle soups. there was chunks of brisket, pork blood, pork knuckle, and meat balls. a new addition to my comfort meals. special order for 2 ($26.95) | 4.4/5 this set is pretty much a make your own vietnamese spring roll set for 2. they provide everything from a variety of proteins, mountains of fresh herbs and veggies, rice paper and dipping sauce. i liked wrapping my own springr olls and trying out different combos. you can probably get at least 10 spring rolls out of this if not more! overall i loved the vibes of this place and they have very good and friendly service as well! great portions, CASH ONLY! free small plaza parking nem nướng khánh hoà | alhmabra, ca | $$ | 4.3 1700 W Valley Blvd UNIT C, Alhambra, CA 91803

Yelp
great food and great family run business. grateful to have such a gem in our community.

Yelp
CASH only!! Clean, light but tasty pho and bun bo hue. Pork crunch spring roll and thick sauce similar to Brodard (and copycat Summer Rolls). People really love their banh beo which we'll get if we dine-in next time. Small restaurant. Staff speaks English. Can order to go. Ready in around 15min. Cash only. Cleaner broth compare to many places. Light but still tasty!! - #32. Combination Pho Dac Biet $12.95 - #33. Bun Bo Hue $12.95 (said yes if want everything when asked) - Pork with crunch, Spring rolls (3). (Wow yeah, they do make it and the sauce to be very similar to Brodard, and Summer Rolls as other reviewers mentioned.) - Beverage #5 Rau Ma $3.50 (They offer with or without sugar. I asked for light sugar) Small plaza with compact parking. Friday lunch time and we took the last parking spot. But there's also street parking.

Tiffany N.

Yelp
**CASH ONLY** There is also a convenient liquor store two doors down with an ATM if needed. Cutest, sweetest little mom and pop-owned Vietnamese restaurant! I stopped by because I was craving some warm soup on a cold afternoon. I ordered their bun bo hue and was definitely not disappointed! The broth was lighter and had a good amount of spice. I really liked the slices of beef and overall, the bowl was very very authentic with the pork pieces as well! Portion wise, it was also very generous and amazing value for the price point. I was super full at the end! Additionally the staff was so kind and quick. I was immediately sat and waited on. The food also came out super promptly, which was nice. If you're craving some Vietnamese in the area, this place is solid. Come support this small business and you will be pleased!

Catherine W.

Yelp
We went here for brunch on Thanksgiving and there were a few parties there and a lot of people getting spring rolls in catering trays for their family gatherings. The staff was friendly, the restaurant was pleasant to be in. The food was not super fast but not too slow. The spring roll tray was so good! Would definitely go back to have again. We got Banh Beo and a broken rice dish - all super good too. Oh and this place is cash only!

Flora W.

Yelp
Craving Vietnamese food and specifically wanted to wrap the spring rolls myself. Not many Vietnamese restaurants do that actually so my boyfriend and I were really happy to have found Nem Nuong Khanh Hoa in our neighborhood. It's a small restaurant with about only 6-8 tables inside but its such a gem! I ordered the "Special Order for 2 Persons" for my boyfriend and I. It had all the things we wanted and more in fact! For only about $23, it was totally and completely worth it! (saying "worth it" in my head like that show on Buzzfeed). The 2 persons meal comes with a plate of meat (and a lot of it), a big ol' plate of lettuce greens (green leaf, Vietnamese Perilla leaves, mint, and more herbs), carrots, bean sprouts, cucumber, rice paper, warm water, and sauce. The whole point of it is to wrap it yourself and not be shamed for playing with your food (just kidding)! Seriously though - for the spring roll wrapping experience and the ability to customize what you want in your spring roll everytime, who would say no to that? I'm always in for that! The whole experience was spot on and we were able to wrap at least about 10 individual spring rolls for each of us to enjoy. Noting that - we were definitely full of veggie goodness! I will definitely be back with more friends to enjoy this fun and delicious meal!

Carrie M.

Yelp
I come here for their bun bo hue and spring rolls and it hits the spot every single time. They serve generous portions and despite my big appetite I always end up with leftovers to look forward to the next day. Definitely try their noodle soups if you haven't! I always get the bun Bo hue and the soup is piping hot and hearty. It's the best comfort food and I'll always come back!

Stephanie L.

Yelp
Small mom and pop restaurant with only 7-8 tables. When I walked in and noticed I was the only non-Viet, I knew I was in for a treat. We ordered the following: Soda chanh: refreshing and tasted like a Sprite alternative Pho tai: broth was a lil sweet but was so necessary on a cold, rainy day in LA Com bi sua cha: pork chop and shredded pork over rice with a side of baked egg Dac biet cho 2 nguoi: DIY spring rolls. There was a mountain of greens, plate of charbroiled patties, meatballs, and crunchy spring rolls, along with bowls of warm water to loosen up the rice paper. Since I don't have access to homemade Vietnamese meals, this place will do and is definitely somewhere I'll be coming to regularly. Cash only! Small parking lot shared with other businesses.

Emily C.

Yelp
I was really looking forward to a cheaper alternative to Summer Rolls and Brodards, so I was looking forward to trying this place out. I ordered the spring rolls and banh beo, but to be honest there was something lacking in this meal. Unfortunately it did not taste as flavorful as the other restaurants mentioned above... the dipping sauce in particular just tasted like something warm with a nice texture, but without flavor. The banh beo was okay too. Overall, this is a small place with a small parking lot (I just parked along the street), with affordable food, but I wouldn't count it as a replacement for the restaurants mentioned above. Rounding this place up to a 4 because the service here (despite it being cash only) was very sweet and had a nice small family business vibe. I would give this place another try, hopefully this was just an off day

John T.

Yelp
Visitation Rights: Been here countless of times when I was in high school and other times when my Canadian relatives would come over to visit. Cash or Credit Card: Cash is king! No plastic cards allowed here! Restroom: They're available. Just go into the kitchen and you'll see it to your left. If you need to wash your hands only, they have a sink that you can use behind the counter. Location/Parking: Located on the SW corner of Marengo and Valley. Limited parking can be found in the shared parking lot up front, but you can also find parking on Marengo. Ambiance/Decor: The shop is relatively clean and some modern furnishings Service: Service can be slow depending on how many patrons there are. If anything, be loud and try to get their attention for the bill or other needs and wants to make your meal spectacular. Food Of Choice: Can't go wrong with their nem nuong spring roll or the banh beo! Don't be scared to dip the rolls/banh beo in their dipping sauces. If you run out, ask for more. Your breath will be quite fabulous afterwards. :) Nem Nuong Khanh Hoa For Thought: Unfortunately, I don't go to this that often anymore. I usually go to Summer Rolls because of the proximity to my house. If i'm in the area and have a craving for spring rolls or banh beo's, I wouldn't mind patronizing this shop.

Carissa C.

Yelp
this place is such a hidden gem for vietnamese food in LA. we have tried many pho places in the area looking for the best one, and thIS ONE IS IT! if you're having pho cravings, look no further this place is it!! we ordered the bun bo hue, #18 rice plate, and the banh beo. the bun bo hue had such great flavor. the meat on the rice plate was SO WELL COOKED and flavorful and had great portions. and the banh beo came out fresh and hot. overall the quality of the food was amazing, everything felt so fresh and so clean. the owners are a sweet couple who were soooo kind. and service was very quick. i don't have enough good things to say about this place. this was our first time here, and definitely won't be our last!!

Lisa K.

Yelp
4.5 stars! +located in a small plaza on corner of valley and marengo. Limited parking space available +decent sized restaurant; has about 8 tables that fits 4 ppl each. +we came on Sunday at 10:20am and there were ppl seated inside and more ppl started coming--place seems very popular! +owner of the restaurant is so cute. He's constantly smiling, speaks softly, and seems so happy to see his customers enjoying his food. He gave us a big smile back when we told him the food is really good +we ordered their banh beo, charbroiled meat and shrimp spring rolls, pho dac biet, and BBH. All of the items were a solid 4 but we especially enjoyed the appetizers. Banh beo was freshly made so it was nicely hot and had perfect texture as it slid right out of the plate and had slippery texture while it had nice chewy consistency. The banh beo had perfect amount of dried shrimp garnish and the dressing was perfectly flavored. The springs rolls caught us off guard as we weren't expecting such an awesome spring roll to be dished out. The spring rolls were were almost as good as brodard's and their spring roll sauce is very similar to brodard to brodard's as well! This place's spring roll has deep fried batter shrimp which gave it a nice crunch. They also provide dipping sauce for each diner, which is a considerate gesture on their end. Both the pho and BBH are on a lighter end but still tasted great. The BBH tastes clean but the broth is still flavorful and they're very generous with the meat garnish. -cash only All in all we loved the food and fell in love with the owner! Can't wait to be back when we're in the area again

Kimmie G.

Yelp
Came here for the Bun Bo Hue! I tried a different restaurant last time and wanted to try another place for comparison , so I came here because of the good reviews. The BBH bowl was really tasty, it's loaded with flavor and generous meats. What I like about this place is that their broth is not as sweet as other restaurants. We ordered the nem nuong and banh beo, those two items were equally delicious. The portions are a good size as well, for three people we shared the bun bo hue, nem nuong, banh beo and we left full. The prices here are really reasonable and fair if you are on a budget.

Sandy H.

Yelp
I have been coming here for years ! It's my go to spot for a good comforting bowl of Pho and crispy ,delicious eggroles . Staff is friendly aand food is delicious

Dean O.

Yelp
This is a real gem of the SGV. I heard about it through fellow restaurant cooks and was totally blown away by the freshness, quality, and originality of the food. The build-your-own spring rolls are the thing to get here!

Yelp
Nem Nuong Khanh Hoa (Alhambra, CA) Items: 1. Pork Chop & Egg Roll w/ Steamed Rice (Com Suon & Cha Gio) | $10.95 | 3.75/5 Review: A great place to have a relaxing and casual meal with friends or family. The restaurant is Vietnamese family-owned, and the owners are very kind. If you're not feeling like pho and can't decide on your order, the Pork Chop & Egg Roll w/ Steamed Rice would be a great choice. The egg roll did not taste too oily and the meat was very juicy for its price-point. I would definitely come back here if I am craving authentic Vietnamese food. The service here is amazing! The staff were super attentive to our table. It's a smaller cozy restaurant, feels like going to grandma's house for dinner, we felt so comfortable and welcomed! We also ordered pho and bun bo hue as well which did hit the spot, but the nem nuong was definitely the star of dinner. The staff were so sweet and made sure to bring out the rest of our food when we were ready to eat it so it wouldn't go cold! CASH ONLY! Don't forget to get cash beforehand, it's worth it.

Yelp
Tiny little place but provides great service. Food comes out fast too. The taste is decent, not too bad but not like wow. Still wonder how they get 4.5 ratings overall

Yelp
CASH ONLY This is a definitely a place that's easy to miss. If I didn't find this place on Yelp I would've missed out. This place is so cute and cozy. The staff are so incredibly sweet and attentive. You can literally smell the flavors from the parking lot. Also parking can be tight since the lot is not that big. I'm pretty sure you can find some residential parking if it comes to that. Pho 4.5: the portions are huge! Lots of noodles which is perfect. It is super hot tho and I'm not very patient when I'm hungry. The broth might not look very colorful, but there's so much flavor. I think it's one of the best pho experiences I have had in a very long time. Bum Nem 5/5: I think it's so good, definitely above average. I usually don't order this cause I think it's meh, but wow. Their fish cake is very unique in a good way. I really can't complain it was just perfect in my opinion. Soda lemonade: literally one of my favorite drinks! It's so refreshing and nostalgic. Some places make it a bit salty, but I think this was just perfect. I would definitely order this again! I will for sure be coming back again!

Yelp
The first time I was introduced to banh beo I absolutely fell in love with the dish. The banh beo with dried shrimp and crispy wonton was slightly different from the ones I had before but nonetheless enjoyable. I just wished they were served warmer. Although I came for the banh beo, the build your own spring roll with the neum nong and crispy shrimp rolls with thin vermicelli captivated my taste buds. I loved the heaping veggie platter of lettuce, cucumber, chives, basil, mint and bean sprouts. They were all very fresh and more than enough for the meal we ordered. They did not skimp out on the rice paper either. It's a fairly small restaurant with only 6 or 7 tables and they all filled up super quickly. Parking is available in the shared lot.

Yelp
First time here. The pho was good but they aren't too generous with the extras like bean sprouts. They do not take credit cards as advertised. When we were ready to pay they said cash only. It caught me off guard. Good thing I had just enough to pay for my meal. The cash only sign is very small hidden behind a huge plant on the counter.

Yelp
Cash only!! Do not come here if you do not have cash. My wife wanted to bánh bèo and we wanted somewhere near us. We found this on yelp and decided to come here. We came here before but remembered it was pretty good. The inside is small and we came before the lunch rush. All seats were gone after we were seated. The food came at a fairly fast pace and the food was yummy. Pro - Food was goooos - Parking was easy Cons: - Cash only - Not a lot of seating and the inside is small - Don't expect awesome service. You won't see the waiter or waitress after the food has been delivered. - No public restroom

Yelp
I went there with a friend. This restaurant looks small and simple, so I had a low expectation, to be honest. I ordered typical Vietnamese style noodle with beef. Food came out fast, it was tasty enough as my hangover soup ;) I would go again when I want to eat those noodle!

Yelp
Absolutely stellar experience! The broken rice dish exceeded all expectations, delivering a symphony of flavors that danced on my palate with every bite. The texture was spot-on, offering a delightful crunchiness that perfectly complemented the tender meat and fragrant rice. The presentation was artfully done, showcasing the chef's attention to detail. Combined with the warm and welcoming ambiance, attentive service, and reasonable prices, this restaurant has secured its place as my go-to spot for Vietnamese cuisine.

Yelp
Small shared parking lot in front of restaurant. Owned by a husband and wife and family operated for over 19 years. The place is simple, practical and not fancy. The owner lady is very sweet. Food comes out quickly, so great spot if you're in a time crunch. We ordered spring rolls, pho tai, pho bo vien, broken rice with beef and cafe sua da. The broken rice with beef was well seasoned. It looked so simple, no frills. Just sautéed sliced beef on top of broken rice and two slices of cucumbers. It was packed with flavor, so good that we ordered another plate and of course didn't finish it so took it home. The pho was good, not chewy like I like it but still good. The broth is not oily and tasty. The coffee comes in a styrofoam cup. If you box up to go, they still use styrofoam as take out containers. Restrooms are for employees only. Beware, cash only! We ended up ordering much more than expected and our bill was over $90. Luckily next door had an ATM (they charge $2.50 service fee). Closed on Tuesdays.

Yelp
The owner was very warm hearted. Offering us hot tea since we looked a bit winded. It has been almost a week since I had to stay in the house, first thing I wanted is Bún bò Huế My Uber driver friend told me this is the IT restaurant for Bún bò Huế. They ninja swipe their cow tongue to paper thin so they taste really great with your pallet. They also adapts duck blood instead of pig blood. I personally embrace both. Pig more gamie and duck more fluid. They have a handmade special NOT on the menu!!! (Not telling you here)

Yelp
This place has a very home and welcoming environment, the owner is a sweet dude who always sits us at our favorite table, the pho is pho-nominal, the spring rolls (that you make or you bc an have the ready made ones too) are always fresh & tasty. Personally being able to make your own spring rolls is better cause you can mix and match and play with the flavors. The lemon "soda" is A1 highly recommend. Overall if you're looking for a homey, humble, delicious, pho & Viet food in Alhambra, this is the spot to eat at. It is a small place so it can get a bit tight but it's worth it for the food & price.

Yelp
Took my parents here when they visited me for Lunar New Year. Originally from Wisconsin, there are only a couple of Vietnamese restaurants and none that specialize in certain items. They usually head to OC to grab Viet food, but I had to show them what SGV's got! Tip: Cash only so be prepared! Family-owned restaurant with the friendliest service and prices are extremely reasonable, which makes paying cash not as inconvenient (I rarely carry bills around these days). Hidden gem with only a few tables, but orders come out fast and take-out is an option where things are package really nicely. Started with Banh Beo, bit-size steamed rice roll in sauce glasses filled with dried shrimp, green onions oil, and a fried wonton piece for added crisp. We asked for extra bird's eye chili which were cut up nicely so we could add one to every bite. Rice roll has the perfect bounciness and the fish sauce was perfect. Then of course we had to get the Nem Nuong, spring rolls with a variety of meats. We opted for the combo and it was everything! 3 varieties of meat, fried wonton wrappers to add crisp (makes SUCH a difference), and lots and lots of herbs to go around. This was great to share and try different items. Lastly, due to what we saw was popular demand we ordered 3 bun bo hues to go. Talk about FOMO - we saw so many people ordering this, we had to try for breakfast the next day. The bun bo hue was hearty, had all the toppings you'd expect and the broth was a good spiciness where you could easily add more if you wanted a bigger kick. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
My go to for delicious and fresh spring rolls! #8 is my jam! There are countless options in and around Alhambra for Vietnamese food. I've tried a good portion of those other establishments. And in my long search for satisfying my spring roll craving, I came upon Nem Nuong Khanh Hoa. Located in small shopping plaza off Valley and Marengo, I've driven by and missed this spot many a times. This family owned restaurant seems to be run by a husband and wife team. Super friendly and always smiling. Tips: 1) Cash only. If you happen to be unprepared or forget cash, there is an ATM in the liquor store at the end of the plaza. 2) Seems to get pretty busy during the evenings with family coming in for dinner. Plan ahead or call in an order for take out. I can't give any feedback on other menu items yet. But I'll update my review if I can ever leave room for other food.

Yelp
Was in the neighborhood and based on Yelp reviews decided to give this place a try. My friend and I were having a late lunch just after 2pm on a Sunday. Small place (approx. 5-6 tables) located in a small plaza. Luckily we were able to get a table cuz after 10 mins it suddenly got packed. A crowded restaurant is always a good sign and especially on a late Sunday afternoon, the food must be good. I had a thin vermicelli (bun) dish. Love to roll all the veggies, vermicelli, egg roll and herb together in a rice paper. Healthy and filling and won't give me food coma. Pretty tasty but I was so busy talking didn't really pay attention to the flavors. Next time I'm in the area I'd love to try the banh beo.

Yelp
This is an awesome mom and pop Vietnamese shop. Discovered this place a few years back and have been coming back regularly since. My gf and I usually get their build your own spring roll set for two people and it's so much food. It comes with a bunch of rice paper, 3 different kinds of Vietnamese meatballs, some shrimp egg rolls and a bunch of fresh vegetables. I usually order an extra set of banh hoi to go with it. Their broken rice dishes are also pretty good but the star is their spring rolls. Cash only.
