The Best Jazz Nights In Miami

"You can get dinner and a show at some restaurants. But at Neme, you get two shows for the price of one dinner. On the left side of the restaurant is a stage, and that’s where you’ll get your first performance of the evening. They have live music every night (except Wednesday, which is karaoke), but Thursday and Friday nights are for jazz. To the right of the stage is a whole other kind of display: the kitchen. It’s an actual open kitchen too—the kind where you can see all the way down to their shoes. The menu is solid and broad, with entrees from steak to pasta. But we prefer sipping a mojito at the bar and mindlessly munching on tostones while watching cooks in white coats dance around each other to the dizzying beats.  " - ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo

Neme Gastro Bar - Review - Coral Way - Miami - The Infatuation

"You can get dinner and a show at some restaurants. But at Neme Gastro Bar, you kind of get two shows for the price of one dinner. On the left side of the restaurant is a stage, and that’s where you’ll get your first performance of the evening. They have live music every night, but the Thursday and Friday Jazz nights are our favorites. To the right of the stage is a whole other kind of display: the kitchen, which really stands out against the restaurant’s warm brick walls and blue ambient lighting. It’s an actual open kitchen too—the kind where you can see all the way down to their shoes. The menu is solid and broad, with entrees from steaks to pastas. Disappointed in the manipulation from management. Mondays they have a cover charge $10 per person, which I knew before going in as it was my second time at this place in a couple of years, unusual for a restaurant to charge cover but I can accept or not. Mondays is also 50 % off, but it’s not…. they apply two separate service charges, one for 4% and another for 18% to the entire bill and THEN they give you a “discount” so at the end you’ll pay very much the same once you add the cover charge and the inflated and forced 22% service charge to a price you never agreed to. But they are smart, in order to not break the law they charge the tax to the actual amount that you consume and not the inflated price as they do with the service charges. No wonder the place was much emptier this time. It will be interesting to find out with the state or an attorney if this behavior is legal. The proof is in the picture attached here.

The food is good, the service is acceptable, but I think it's crazy to have to pay a cover charge just to have dinner—$10 per person... If I'm dining here, it's because you have live music, so don't charge me extra for it. And on top of that, they force you to pay an 18% tip on those $10 cover charges. It feels like a rip-off.

Before I start, the correct name of this restaurant is Neme Gastro Bar. Now that we got that out of the way, Neme is a little hidden jewel in the heart of Shenandoah, nestled between gorgeous Coral Gables and fancy Brickell. The food is damn good, but the service and atmosphere is out of this world. I had the best octopus in the area, and I should remind you that this area is surrounded by a bunch of Portuguese restaurants (which are arguably experts in serving the best octopus in the area, if not the world). The shrimp cocktail was fresh and came with two sauces, and the tiraditos were good, but not amazing. However, the cocktails were on point. I had a mojito and a couple of Strawberry Jazz and they were all perfectly balanced and delicious. Did I say they have a live band every night? Well, except Wednesdays, which is Karaoke night 😃. Highly recommend this hole in the wall.

Google
The place has potential to be great but they need to replace their hostess and security personnel at the front. All of them have a bad attitude and based on other reviews many have had the same experience. Also, after 12am you can only sit at a table if you’re buying a bottle which is weird since this is a gastrobar/lounge and not a club (even with plenty open tables, see photo). Pros: it was clean, set-up was nice and drinks were reasonably priced but they need to address security and front door staff.

Google
So much fun! Got this place recommended by a bartender in South Beach and it did not disappoint. The steak salad was so good, and the espresso martinis were amazing (no frangelico, so no unnecessary allergens). When the band started playing people started dancing. Seems like there're a few different bands that play over the course of the week, so you can get a variety if you go back multiple nights during the week. Definitely keeping this on the list for our next visit

Google
Great atmosphere and food, but always issues with the bill — be careful. Neme Gastro Bar has a great vibe — good music, quality cocktails, and tasty food. It’s a solid place to hang out with friends or kick off the night. However, they consistently have problems when it’s time to pay. Whether it’s splitting the bill, unexpected charges, or delays with the check, it becomes frustrating — and it’s happened more than once. Just double-check your bill before paying to avoid any surprises. Other than that, the experience is generally enjoyable.

Google
We got there at 9pm on a Saturday. There were only people by the bar and all tables were empty. However we were asked to pay $10 per person as “cover” because they offer live music. It explained why all tables were empty. I like the food here but charging a cover when you don’t have people dining is wild.

Google
Would not recommend at all. You’re not allowed to wear any hats or caps unless you buy one of theirs with their logo and name printed right on the front. I could understand if it were just a dress code, but this feels more like forced merchandise. Honestly, it’s ridiculous. On top of that, the music was terrible and the DJ had zero vibe or connection with the crowd. 0/10

Yelp
!--Aggressive and Unprofessional Security--! Our group was kicked out after one of us knocked on the door to use the venue's only restroom, where a security guard was clearly using it for personal reasons. When he came out, it was obvious from the white powder on his nose what he'd been doing in there. He aggressively dragged our friend out of the venue and kicked him out entirely. The situation could have escalated if we hadn't chosen to leave peacefully. It's a shame that a place with so much promise is tarnished by such unprofessional and hostile staff.

Yelp
I have only great things to say about this place! The atmosphere is a nice vibe with lots of bar seating space as well as low top table options. There is a stage where they host live music every night which is a wonderful touch! Firstly, I would like to say that they have some kind of deal each day, but the best would be Mondays where they have 50% off all menu items including food and drinks! The pisco sour is my favorite cocktail - the strawberry basil touch makes it very tasty and special! I ordered the oysters and skirt steak which were both very good! My friends ordered other menu items and all of them looked great and there was very little talking around the table once the food came, which you know means the food was great! I'm looking forward to come back here again! Pro tip- I would get there early since it does get very popular later in the evening.

Yelp
So we decided to get together for some dinner and some live music and Our good friend Ruth recommended we check out Neme Gastro Bar as she and my good friend Derrick had been there on numerous occasions so we decided to check them out and I have to say that I am very, very happy we did. Now I will say that Neme Gastro Bar is very small and quaint so if you decide to try them out I highly recommend that you make reservations, especially on Friday and Saturday nights as it gets real busy. Ruth made reservations for us and they did ask us if we had a reservation upon arriving. I don't think you will be turned away if you don't but you may have to sure it out at the bar, which by the way was excellent as the mixologists were in full force. The crowd was more of an older crowd (30's +) ; also, as they do have a dress code. Pretty simple for men no baseball caps, nice jeans or pants (not extremely baggy) and a nice shirt (no cutoffs, sleeveless shirts or tank tops) with no open toed shoes. For ladies, just dress to impress and you should all be just fine. Upon entering the live music was in full force and I have to say the live back was awesome and playing everything from Steely Dan, Jazz, Sting, Bob Marley and everything in between. They were really good and had everybody singing and dancing in between the tables. When we made it to our table we promptly started ordering some Smoked Old Fashion's and Lychee Martini's which were all excellent. Drinks were promptly followed up by appetizers to get the juices flowing. For starters we ordered the Mixed Croquettes (Iberica Ham, Spinach and Cod), Grilled Octopus and the Savory Meatball's. I have to say that all the appetizers were phenomenal and delicious. The croquettes were so good we placed an additional order with our main courses. For our main courses, we all decided to go with Lobster Ravioli and the Pear and Gorgonzola Cheese Ravioli. As expected all the main courses were fresh and delicious. Honestly, initially my gut was telling me the food was possibly not going to be that good but I was very happy to be completely wrong as it was anything but. They really knocked it out of the park. You know grilled octopus is not always prepared correctly in restaurants and I consider myself to be a little bit of a connoisseur when it comes to Octopus and their appetizer was very good. Rounding out the evening, we ordered some Cappuccinos and the Crème Brûlée which were also very good as well. Overall our dining experience was very good and our servers were very attentive as well, considering by this time the place was jumping and very busy. After dinner we just hangout, listened to the live music and ordered some additional drinks to keep the festivities going. We were in good company as everyone was having a real good time as well. Definitely will be coming back to Neme Gastro Bar again as it was definitely hitting all the marks and we all had a really good time. That said, if you have not been and are considering trying them out feel free to do so as I am sure you will not be disappointed. Just remember to make reservations if you are planning on going Friday or Saturday nights. Wishing you all a great evening, Enjoy and Ben Appétit m'es amis!

Yelp
Quick trip down to Miami to get away from the hurricane. I had a hankering for a steak salad and I found one in their menu when browsing restaurants. The space is nice and open with a small raised stage for live music (unfortunately none this night). There appears to be a little balcony above it with a DJ booth, the wall behind it decorated with old cigar boxes. My steak salad was great! It was completely different from any I'd had in the past, as it was heavily Caribbean-influenced (tangy and spicy dressing, plantain chips, fried yucca instead of croutons). The steak was cooked just how I ordered it, nicely seared outside and juicy inside. My wife was happy with her fried tostones absolutely jam-packed with avocado, and sweet potato fries. Prices were normal for Miami, portion sizes ok. Service was great. I'd definitely come back for a date night with good food and some live music.

Yelp
Came for a family dinner and they charged me and two other people 20 each because we were guys at 7pm on a Sunday. What a JOKE. Not to mention the place wasn't packed and there was an empty tables all over. Considering the extra 20$ to my tab, you could eat way better literally anywhere else

Yelp
Really cool bar/restaurant. Neme is an excellent choice when looking for a good night out with friends. Always great music and awesome food. Whether you are looking for a big meal or just small bites Neme is the place. Their tuna tartare is very good as it is the burrata salad. Crab cakes are good but definitely not their best dish. I would say that their service, drinks and ambiance is the best in the area. Crowd is usually adults and young professionals alike. There isn't like a dance area but many customers just dance near the entrance or anywhere they find a space. Definitely worth coming here. Fun place, great food.

Yelp
5 estrellas por el ambiente, la comida, los tragos y la música. Fuimos un martes cualquiera pero nos encontramos con un jam de jazz maravilloso. Gracias. El camarero que nos atendió, muy serio pero capaz.

Yelp
Location, food and service great no complaints. Mondays are 50% off everything, unfortunately every time I go, the music is so atrocious, within half an hour I have to leave. Not that the actual musicians are bad, but they have obviously not attempted to do any kind of sound check, or even take a look at the venue, ZERO acoustical paneling, it's brick and concrete, the sound is way too loud, but is made 10 times worse because it bounces off the walls. It's a shame the owner and the various musicians should take notice, either keep the volume lower, and/or add the very inexpensive sound paneling, felt under the bar and tables, do something, do anything to make the place bearable after 7PM

Yelp
So happy to back at Neme Gastropub !! Hadn't been here since before the Pandemic and I am glad to report that it is still Awesome!! We got there early for Happy Hour to enjoy the Specials. And then Ordered some Tuna Tacos that were very delicious but PETITE So make sure you don't share I also ordered the Scallops which brings 5 pieces and are seared to perfection. And for our entree we ordered the Mixed Platter with Pork , Steak and Chicken. Definitely a great choice to enjoy different types of meats with a side of potatoes

Yelp
Came here on a Friday night looking for some jazz. It was hard to get in touch with the restaurant over the phone, but we got seated without a reservation. It turns out...they don't play jazz every night. The night we were there was a live band playing the top hits. While it wasn't jazz, we had a wonderful time with the band, and the female singer's voice was amazing. Food-wise was average. We went with the fan-favorite - Tostones con Avocado. Ummm, there was a generous amount of avocado over the tostones, but I prefer just simple tostones with garlic lemon sauce. We also got the escargot to share - it was good, but nothing to write home about. But the restaurant was very accommodating with my friend's dietary restrictions. We also got some tacos to share - but both the tuna and the skirt steak were just too salty and overpriced (3 tacos for $18! And I live in NYC). As for drinks, if you like mojitos, stick with the guava flavor (or the classic). The passion fruit was way too sour and light. Overall, the experience was great, and our servers were friendly. But I would adjust my expectations for the food here.

Yelp
Tonight's outing was with childhood friends. We went to a neighborhood local with a live band. Lucky us it was early and it was happy hour. Food & service was very good. We had wines and appetizers. It was extremely inexpensive. Remember we were at happy hour. All good and spirits 1/2 price. The live band was a bit loud which made it difficult to converse, so we took the party home. Total laughs and giggles. It's a possibility we return..

Yelp
We came here on Wednesday for karaoke and it was so much fun. The food is great and comes out fast. The waiter was attentive and nice. My drink was never empty. The host for karaoke are so much fun and entertaining and of course the crowd was so welcoming and young. I love this place!!

Yelp
Been here once and will never return. This place is trying to be something it isn't, a high rated, high quality bar. It is far from it. Our night started with the hostess telling us there was a dress code. A dress code for this bar?! I was surprised but okay...that's the policy. Dress code starts at 9:30 so we stayed. We were just there to grab a drink anyways. Drinks were very pricy for the quality. $18 average for a drink I would rank at $10. The drinks were happy hour quality. The liquor was happy hour level. We received our bill and noticed it was higher than it should have been. To our surprise there was a cover charge of $5 per person when sitting at the bar. I questioned the bartender and was told it was for the music. The music had started playing about 15 min before we left. I was quite upset as I believe this cover charged should have been posted or we should have been informed. The bartender explained the hostess Should have told us. The hostess did not tell us and I highly doubt that the hostess tells anyone. This is a sneaky way of overcharging. if the business will be charging a cover charge for music it would only be fair to post it. If not I see it as stealing. I wonder how many people do not even bother checking their check and pay this cover charge without knowing. Bartender was pretty insulted I questioned the charge. Which really annoyed me. Said it would be remove and "there is a solution for every problem", but he lied, the charge was not removed. I would say the bartender was insulted because I haven't been the only person to question and challenge the cover charge. Aside from this the place is not very clean. Get rid of that wet carpet smell at the bar. Give the bar a good wipe down. I would also highly recommend a focus on improving customer service. There are so many better bars with a better vibe than this.

Mingo B.

Yelp
Trashy and rude hostess, bouncers seem to think they work for club LIV, arrived at midnight for a night cap and they told us we can only sit at one of the 8 empty tables if we bought a bottle (of what IDK bc it's a small bar). We decided to pay the five dollar cover to stand at the bar which they later kicked a couple out of their seats because they were reserves seats after 12 am. We had one drink, live music ended, and we decided to leave. Terrible experience within 45 mins, won't be going again, and hostess needs to learn how to manage the environment when the place is half empty, open till 6 am so I can only image what the rest of the night looks like. Try Gibsons for a better experience

Yelp
My boyfriend and I finally tried this place out for our Friday date night. I had been eyeing for some time now since it's close to my job; and when I searched for it on Yelp, I saw it mentioned Live Jazz (something both him and I really enjoy!). We arrived around 8, it was early thinking it would be packed according to the comments I had read on here, but to our surprise, it was quite slow. Nevertheless, the lady at the door greeted us very nicely and asked if we had a reservation, if not, to be aware at 9pm there was a $10 charge at the table and a $5 charge at the bar. We sat at the bar, the bartender was also very welcoming and attentive, whilst the jazz players set a smooth tone but entertaining ambience. We ordered an Old Fashioned and a Bombay Gimlet (both on point) and an octopus to start -- the charred smoky taste and concoction of creamy potato and spinach sauce was fabulous! I recommend trying it! And then we shared as an entree the beef tenderloin plate -- wow!! The steak would melt in your mouth, so delicious, along with the roasted potatoes. All in all, I definitely suggest giving this place a try, but be mindful, it is not a cheap date. But it won't disappoint!! Also, I must add, we stayed until about 9:30 and they never charged us the $5, so that was nice and it stayed pretty calm.. not a lot of people that night. Perhaps it gets busier later on.

Anabel R.

Yelp
The customer service was a nightmare, either the lady in the front door or the servers inside. Very disappointed. Also the place is too small, very crowded and the personal space does not exist.
google avatar

Alex P.

Yelp
Enjoyed the food and ambiance here, came for the all-day Monday happy hour which is not to be missed! Bolitas (gouda/cheddar balls with guava sauce) were a favorite as well as the tuna tartare w/a hint of white truffle. Croquettes and meatballs were also good, my Italian friend was pleasantly surprised with how good the tomato sauce that came with the meatballs was!
google avatar

Yelp
Pretty good place! This restaurant is known for their live musical band every night, which we unfortunately did not get to experience. My husband and I stopped in early one night for dinner to eat and order some drinks. This was one of the first restaurants we tried while staying in Miami- definitely recommend. I had the Pear Gorgonzola Cheese Raviolis and let me say, it was AMAZING. I've never experienced such a unique flavor before. It was the perfect amount of fruitiness mixed with cheesy. Sounds like a odd combo....but I would 100% try it again. Their lemon drop martinis are super yummy as well. Hopefully we can travel back to Miami soon!

Yelp
My friends and I went for the live band on a Friday night and it was great! If you go, I recommend that you make a reservation. We were able to sit at the bar and ordered some appetizers and drinks. Both of the bartenders were friendly and attentive. We shared the octopus, the tostones and ceviche. All were very tasty. I had a cosmo and it very well made. I'd definitely recommend this place for lunch or dinner.

Jose L.

Yelp
Used to go every now and then just to have a drink and leave the house to change the environment. Nothing more than "the local bar". Today I went there to find the place empty ( both bar and tables) and yet they had the gull of asking me for a cover charge per person to just sit and have a drink ($5 at the bar, $10 at a table). Sorry, people. Btw, you owe me $3 for parking PD: check the dress code policy! (I was appropriately dressed!) You lost a patron dudes!

James W.

Yelp
We went there in the beginning of November to listen to live authentic Cuban music. Enjoyed the atmosphere, the energy of the patrons and music was great.
google avatar

Blancs G.

Yelp
This place is home to the best Burrata in Miami! Don't ever go there and not order it. Mondays are extra special because their entire menu is 50% off. Yes you read that right! All of their delicious food and awesome cocktails are 50% off!
google avatar

Shairy G.

Yelp
It is what it is, another small swanky bar nestled in between Brickell and the Gables. This bar is right across the street from my workplace so I frequent it for happy hours. They have quite the extended happy hour (3pm-8pm) with half off drinks, $1 oysters and discounts on apps - a steal! I've been to Neme for both lunch and dinner a handful of times. Their menu is on the pricier side for above average but not amazing food, but they have great lunch specials and (here's the kicker) the entire menu is half off of Mondays! I always say: I will only have dinner at Neme's on Mondays! They play live jazz music every night which is an added plus. The service is up to par, quick and kind. The bar is also on point, even when they're rather busy. I probably wouldn't dine here if it weren't for their amazing specials.

Noah A.

Yelp
Waiter awesome and the food is great. Just they should allow more clothes for the dress code.

Sraddha S.

Yelp
Bad experience for my personal taste. Poor menu. Very pricey. I got sick from the food. Music supposed to start at 9:30 and didn't start until 10:15. I won't come back and I wouldn't recommend this place either

Yelp
Hands down one of my favorite spots in Miami. From the vibe, to the food, down to the music. It is always a fun time and great meal. What I specifically love about this place is that depending on what day and time you go, there is a different vibe. Lunch in the middle of the afternoon on a weekday will be calm, jazzy and relaxing. Or, come late night on the weekend for a night of dancing. They have live music most, if not, every night. From jazz to salsa. Wednesday night is live salsa which I had the pleasure of enjoying last night. Hats off to the band. We danced the night away and enjoyed our meal and cocktails. Wish I took more photos but we were having such a wonderful time for my moms birthday, I forgot! OH YEAH and shout out to our server, ANDREW! Who made our experience that much more amazing. When in Miami, must come to Neme's Gastro Bar! Support local!

Yelp
Order everything on the menu and come On a Monday! Wow. You won't regret it ! Best place in town !!

Yelp
I thought Neme was seriously A-OK. If you want to sit at the bar and listen to some live jazzy blues, then it's a great location. However, I came for dinner as a group of 6 friends on a Sunday night. If you like sweet alcoholic beverages, try the Thank You Berry Pisco! Refreshing and sweet! F O O D We all ordered family style. For what you get, I found it to be pricy while the taste was sub-par. I only had a few bites of the other dishes, but my friend and I split these two: - Salmon & Tuna Tataki: This appetizer was underwhelming. Wasn't very flavorful, although the fish was fine. Would pass on this if I ever came back. - Stuffed Lobster Ravioli: Soooo disappointed in this. :( First, it was too salty (for me at least), and it just didn't wow me at all. The ravioli itself was al dente, which was nice, but the stuffed lobster... lol. Just wasn't a fan. I've had better lobster ravioli. From our friends, I also had: + Papitas Con Queso: This was a savory appetizer; would order again. Just be aware that the chorizo is crumbled in, so you probably won't notice it, lol. + Spinach Ricotta Ravioli: I would order this over the lobster ravioli in a heartbeat. This was creamy and delicious. I practically wanted to steal it from my friend (or at least sneakily exchange my lobster ravioli for it, hahaha...) I can't recall what else my table ordered, although I probably have pictures somewhere, lol. Honestly, the best part of the night was the live music. Our server ended up singing on stage, and she had a nice throaty voice - great for jazzy blues style music, haha. Wish I could have fallen in love with Neme!

Yelp
Where else can you get a perfectly cooked filet mignon for $20???? THIS PLACE!! On Mondays everything is 50% off. Cocktails included. The bar makes a great martini. I've also had the lobster ravioli and it's to die for. The steak.... Cooked to perfection, and tender. Did I mention that the entire menu is 50% off on Monday? Great place for HH with friends. There's live music every night starting at 9pm. I suggest making a reservation because the place gets real busy. Don't let the simple outside fool you, this spot is amazing!!! Not to mention the service is fantastic. I've had the pleasure of being served by Andrew, and he's made it an experience every time. Such a kind and accommodating person. I'd give him 10 stars if I could.
google avatar

Vanessa F.

Yelp
My only regrets are that I waited so long to finally try this place, and when I did, got there at 10:30pm - just as the live music was ending. But despite that, I still had a great time! They serve a full menu until pretty late. The food is great and the bar scene is very laid back and unpretentious - definitely a place where you will want to become a regular. The owners are extremely welcoming and friendly and have done a great job at creating an atmosphere that makes you feel like you "belong". Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
I took myself down to Coral Gables to dine and dance at this place, for a friends bday. I rarely make it down but when I do get out of my town for the night and explore, I'm always anticipating exciting adventure! The food here is 5 stars! Service is a 4.5. And pricing is a 4. I tried the beet salad. A MUST when you come here. It's so fresh and flavorful and the dressing is a perfect dance of sweet and tangy. The cheese balls are gooey goodness (but know that the cheese mixture is on the more sharp side of the cheese spectrum). The steak is grilled to perfection and pairs delicious with the fried yuca. You GOTTA try the octopus- if you're into that. It's charred to perfection; the perfect combo of crispy and tender. We ordered it twice! The tostones and avocado were, okay. I'd say pass on this. The ham croquettes are "2-bite" sized, crispy, and served with guava sauce. Talk about getting to your different taste buds with one bite! Genius! The only 2 forewarnings I will offer: **The place gets PACKED on a Sat night (so be prepared to be side by side - sweaty, nightclub style). **The prices of food for the quantity is on the pricier side. We ordered 3 drinks and 5 appetizers to share and the bill was $200. (Well $190 something).

Yelp
This place has a great Monday happy hour. It can really vary how crowded they are. At times I've made reservations way in advance to see many open tables and other times I've been turned away or forced to squeeze in at the bar. My boyfriend almost always orders the steak and it's delicious and I end up with food envy. I've enjoyed the the salmon, tuna tartare, and ravioli on recent visits and all their cocktails are great. I have been disappointed with a couple menu items. The vegetable spring rolls had hardly any filling and you could probably get better ones out of the freezer aisle at Costco and the charcuterie plate while good came with barely any bread.

Yelp
Great spot for some good food and great sounds. It is sad to say that there are not a lot of places where you can enjoy some food and listen to good music but we found it. A Friday date night was a great surprise. We were sat in the balcony over looking the stage a must because the place does get packed. Order just some tapas and a bottle of Malbec and it very much. The risotto was little pricey but the taste was good. The croquettes were great and the deserts were very good (key lime pie and chocolate mouse). Will do it again.

Yelp
I come here often , food has been consistently good , however today I got out of my comfort zone and ordered the Bronzino , total disaster ! Overcooked , over seasoned , did not do justice to such a noble fish . Completely dissatisfied .....

Yelp
Nice bar, small but nice ambiance. Ordered the espresso martini, I liked it The food was really good but just a little over priced in my opinion. The ravioli peach was interesting and delicious but for $22 for 7 ravioli I can't justify the price. The avocado tostones were tasty as well and is a good option if you're vegetarian. Lastly, I tried the Nutella flan for dessert but it's too sweet because they sprinkled sugar on top of it. I love sweets but it didn't need the extra sugar.

Yelp
We arrived on time after doing a reservation, we waited to be seated but the host was looking at his iPad all the time and was not able to look at us to be seated, we take sit by ourselves and after 10 minutes waiting to be attended, we had to leave the bar.. bad service from the host. We visited on 10/28/22 at 6pm.

Yelp
Love this place. Friendly staff. Great service by Yuliya and hostess. Food is amazing great variety in Mojitos. Monday's best happy hour in the world. And party after dinner. The burrada caprese salad is the best I ever had.

Yelp
Wow... I used to come to Neme religiously because I live in the area. What a disappointment tonight. This has become like a club in little Havana .. there's outdoor seating but no server ? I don't understand... Tried to ask the security and he was nice enough to get us a menu... but there's no server and you would have to literally go inside even though you asked for outdoor seating which is packed with people without a mask ... what is the point of that? If you ask for outdoor seating ... and offer outdoor seating .. and have people inside without a mask... Why would I have to go inside to order food to then have to go back inside to get it? Makes zero sense! A waitress from inside came outside after like 30 mins of us sitting there... only went to the table that was next to us and when she saw us looking at her she was like are you guys ok? I replied honestly and said no we're not ... she was like ok what do you need. Super rude. This does not feel like the Neme from a year ago. I was looking forward to a true Spanish jazz bar / Lounge in the area with good food and drinks but this is not it anymore. The staff, the vibe , the horrible Covid precautions... just horrible... Such a shame! So disappointed

Yelp
My experience on a Monday night. They have this thing about reservation. A local restaurant lounge. So we come from Brickell. We ask a local customer to see if he can hop to an empty chair 2 chairs away. The local was not nice. Then if you look at my picture, after 2 hours the VIP bar stools "reserved" were still empty at this time. So my friend paying custome left and then sits WERE NEVER FILLED. This place is not a happy neighborhood bar. Is a stuck up, Brickell wanna be.

Yelp
I also heard about Neme in Yelp's Hot New Business section and had been planning to check it out for a minute. However I didn't get the chance until a surprise call from an college friend who was in town. I broke my hibernation weekend to go catch up (All About the U!) and we had a great evening. Located off Coral Way near Vizcaya in what at one point was a divey bar and then a cigar lounge, Neme brings the space full circle with gastrobar type bites, smooth cocktails and live music. The space pays homage to its heritage by decorating the storage attic with cigar boxes. There's also a nice little mezzanine with a spiral stair in the front, as well as outside tables. Our group was fortunate to have a table near the stage and though we arrived around 830, we weren't rushed out and allowed to enjoy our meal until the "Nikki Kidd Band" started at 11. (The owner, Neme, said they have different live local bands Wednesday thru Saturday). Yes, the owner went by the tables and chatted with all of the patrons. Besides the puffed rice and coffee rub Vegan Chicharrones (creative!) we sampled three dishes. One of my favorites were the Tataki Havanero (wagyu steak served room temperature with spicy vegetables). I describe it as a Steak ceviche. We also loved the PBJ Chicken & Waffles (based on reading the menu online, this I was looking forward to most.) Neme's take on chicken and Waffles also includes a sweet "peanut butter jelly" (90s kids like our group will get it). The sweet and spicy of these two dishes balanced each other nicely. Chef Aleric did a great job putting the kitchen together, along with collaborating with the band. We also ordered the Tostones with Avocado, Avocado isn't one of my favorite foods, but it was still tasty. The guacamole was a touch spicy and tostones crispy. We closed out with a crispy millefoile and some espresso. My friends enjoyed it, and I plan to be back. They told me it reminded of the jazz clubs in NY and DC, and I know we've had a lack of jazz spots since the famous one on the beach closed. It's great to have a "grown and sexy" spot in town!

Yelp
After reading Cassie G's pick of the month featuring Peanut butter fried chicken with grape jelly, maduro walffle, and maple-aji my interest was definitely peaked and I quickly bookmarked. This new gastro bar has a great vibe and a compilation of great jazz music. All of the dishes offered are unique and creative. The vegan chicharron is offered as a complimentary dish for starters. The chicharron is sprinkled with a spiced coffee rub, cilantro and lime. Wow, the chicharron melts in your mouth and the spice combination is unique. Dishes ordered: Tostones con Avocado: I almost didn't want to order since this dish is offered in so many other places, but I am glad I ordered. The texture of the plantain was perfect, crunchy on the outside and soft in the center. The avocado had a great combination of flavors, citrus and cilantro, just perfect. Belly L.T. Featured Pork Belly from Miami Smokers served on top of greens, grainy mustard, rock shrimp and croutons. Also very good PB & J A version of chicken and waffles both sweet and savory. This dish is very creative, the chicken was moist and the waffles had a very unique savory taste. All of the components of the dish held it's own. Even though I loved this dish I couldn't taste the peanut butter and the jelly tasted more like tamarind than grape jelly. That being said the dish is still phenomenal. Peanut Butter Ice Cream with Maduros: I can definitely taste the peanut butter in the ice cream. The combination of the saltiness of the peanut butter and the sweetness of the maduros worked. There was a subtle syrup, but I am not sure what is was. I also liked this dish. The unique and creative dishes served at Neme Gastro Bar, combined with the nice décor, ambiance and great jazz music is deserving of a five star experience. Can't wait to come back to try the other dishes offered.

Yelp
We were looking for a new spot with different feel. We found it! The food and drinks here are full of flavor! We were seated at a table by the window. My only complaint is that it was very dark in that corner. We had to use the flashlight on the phone to see the menu and see what the food looked like! I started off with "The Good Note" drink. It's a guava based cocktail and so delicious! We ordered a few apps to begin with. Las Bolitas are these little cheesy balls (Gouda, Fontina, Goat and Sharp Cheddar) that came with a wine dipping sauce. A must try! The Ceviche was also very tasty and fresh but the portion was a bit small. Tostones con avocado had a nice little kick to it. I definitely recommend those! PB&J fried chicken was good too. I think the waitress said it was peanut butter fried chicken, grape jelly and Madura waffle. Very different than your typical fried chicken and waffles. The place is a little pricey for the portion size but the flavors are on point!

Yelp
Live jazz band in Miami? Who knew! Roommate and i randomly decided we wanted to get out of the house but we didn't want to the normal Miami scene. We knew of a few lounge like spots around the city but we wanted to try something knew. So we googled live jazz bands and we found this little hidden Gem. I LOVE it. Got there about 10pm, sat at the bar and picked at a meat/cheese & hummus platter and sipped at our whiskey as the waitress sang covers to the Jazz band (and she was on point my i add). The vibe was perfect! Exactly what we wanted and prices were average. BUT WAIT! There's more.. One minute were vibing to the tranquil sounds of Jazz and the next, the tables are moved and a live Salsa band was playing.. WAHH! Two of my favorite styles of live bands in one night and it was all unplanned (needles to say it changed our "chill night" mood since the whiskey hit as the bands switched) It's the ultimate date night kind of spot. Romantic jazzy dinner, then boom! Latin club all in one spot. I recommend to get there about 9 and sit at the bar or make a reservation for dinner. Either way, make sure you check it out! You wont be disappointed.

Yelp
It's one of the few nice options for a late drink in Coral Gables. The ambiance is nice and their food is good (for a bar). They have different promotions throughout the week that are really good. (Plus live music)
