It's a relatively newly reconstructed recreation park in Kaunas. Due to various facilities offered for public, like tennis, beach volley and volleyball courts, open air gym and children's playgrounds, it is a very popular spot among locals. For tourists I would recommend its view point. It gives a nice spot for sightseeing over the Old Town Kaunas

Nemunas island it does not host only the Zalgirio arena and the adjacent swimming pool. Besides the trees and the gardens (including the Lithuanian-Japan friendship garden) it has multiple outdoor activities, like outdoor gym organs and small playgrounds. Also there is an ongoing construction of a Science park in the island. There are also multiple bridges that connect the island with the mainland. It is a nice place for a walk or jogging as the paths are clean and well maintained.

I always love this park in the middle of running city.. 2021-06-01 News. Nice flowers have been planted and some benches added. It makes the view better :). LOVE it! Walk near the river is absolutelly calming...

Nice place to walk and rest. There is Žalgirio arena the best place for sport events and music concerts. And a large water sport center will be soon opens.

Nice place with walking trails a lot green spaces for picnics and outdoor sports basketball area, 3 volleyball sand areas, stunt scooters hills track, 2 outdor interactive game arenas for kids 3-7yo and many more

A place which is going through a reborn process. An olimpic swimming center and a Scientific center is being built. New buildings will incorporate gently in to the natural landscape.
