Update - I had the owner Luis reach out to me and he helped to resolve my concerns. After taking him back to Neon Dog this afternoon, Frankie is looking great again. I really appreciate the prompt action on Luis’ part and understand that work is being done to improve customer service as well as with their new groomers. We will continue to rely upon Neon Dog for Frankie’s grooming needs and recommend them to all Fairfield County dog owners!

I’ve had great experiences here, but my latest groom today with my dog was subpar and I’m not sure I am going to be coming back.
We paid for the $80 Yaaasss Queen package (which we is what normally do), and also added the $20 de-shedding add on.
We picked him up this afternoon, and unfortunately my dog does not look groomed. Typically I am very impressed with how he comes out, but today I am not.
Running my fingers through his fur just once and there is a ton of undercoat stuck. Still lots of fur in his tail/back half and overall my dog does not look groomed. Honestly, he looked better before we dropped him off.
The worst part is that upon calling, the associate was very defensive and is wanting to upcharge me $25 to pay for the next level package. This is after we have already paid $126 ($80 package +$20 deshedding +$20 tip + $6 tax). Given that we have taken Frankie to Neon Dog multiple times since he was a puppy (he is going on 3 years old now), I’m surprised at how long term customers are treated.

I am not sure if the store has recently changed management, or has new inexperienced groomers, but I am very disappointed with my experience here and this has tainted the really great grooms I’ve had at Neon Dog over the past two years.
