Family-owned restaurant serving Nepalese & Indian dishes in a relaxed, white-tablecloth dining room.
"Like its sister location in the South Loop, Nepal House on Devon Avenue is a small sit-down restaurant serving Nepali and Indian food. We like this location a little more because the food is just as good, if not better, and it’s relatively mellow on weeknights. You should opt for an order of not-too-doughy samosas and a plate of momos, plus a basket of pillowy-soft garlic naan to go with whatever curry strikes your fancy." - veda kilaru
"Nepal House is a small, semi-formal spot in the South Loop serving Nepali and Indian food. They do a lot of takeout business, but the space works for all sorts of dining scenarios. The menu is long, with everything from Nepali BBQ to seafood curries to a bunch of Indian vegetarian options. Their not-too-doughy samosas and spicy momo plates are the best things here, but you’ll be pleasantly surprised by a better-than-average meal of North Indian staples. Considering the lack of reliably good South Asian restaurants in the neighborhood, Nepal House is a respectable delivery option when you’re in dire need of some chicken tikka masala or saag paneer and can’t be bothered to put on real pants." - Veda Kilaru
