One of the grand mythical fountains in Berlin-Mitte. A tribute to the Roman god, Neptune, it is easily recognizable due to the unique design of the statues & detailed carvings of the sea creatures. Nice central place to relax & take in the views. A popular meeting point as well. Closeby the Red City Hall & Berlin TV Tower.

The Neptune Fountain (Neptunbrunnen) in Berlin is a beautiful historic landmark located between St. Mary’s Church and the Red City Hall, close to Alexanderplatz. The fountain features a striking statue of Neptune surrounded by figures representing the four major rivers of old Prussia, showcasing impressive baroque artistry. It is a popular spot for photos, people-watching, and short breaks while exploring the city center. Its central location is easily accessible by U-Bahn or on foot,

Nice plaza to rest on beaches before going forward. It’s next to a church and train station. You’ll pass through a street full of shops and restaurants. The bathroom is in the train station for $0.50 euro and it accepts a credit card. Be aware most restaurants and cafes nearby won’t have restrooms and will direct you to the train station. In Europe, always ask if they have a toilet and where is it before sitting.

Alexanderplatz sits on the northeastern fringe of Berlin’s historic core, nestled within the Mitte district. Originally formed around the area outside the King’s Gate, the square earned its current name in 1805 to honor the visit of Russian Tsar Alexander I. Locals often affectionately refer to it simply as “Alex.”

Stunning Roman-style statue. It’s a must-see site for both tourists and natives who want to create memories during their visit. Didn’t see the fountain perhaps it was the winter time. Will need to come back during the summer :)
