22 Best Restaurants in Buenos Aires for Parrilla, Pasta, and Potatoes | Condé Nast Traveler

"Set on a quiet corner in a leafy suburb some 40 minutes from downtown BA is a former warehouse that’s been converted into one of the most interesting veggie-friendly restaurants in the city. Everything here is cooked over wood fire. Chef says the whole point of Ness is to make rustic dishes look beautiful, and he succeeds, working with whatever is in season and weaving in some interesting Asian touches throughout. Don't miss the wood-fired bread, kale with crunchy pistachios, the steak or fish, and the flan con dulce de leche for dessert. The punk rock ethos meets serious cooking here. The neighborhood energy makes Núñez feel exciting again, and it's the hottest opening because it actually backs up the hype." - Celeste Moure, Allie Lazar

I'm so glad i went. It was lunch, on a thursday. We had the mushrooms, the chicken, pork and fish. As well as the flan for dessert. Every dish was a 10/10. The vibe is really cool, the service was really great. Bill ended up being 170k for 2. In the US this meal would cost upwards of 300.

Heard wonders about Ness that took me there as my first destination in Buenos Aires. I'm a high demanding foody, so hard to impress. Ness was mind blowing for me. Loved the open fire kitchen integrated to the seating. Original and inviting, specially for those who appreciates being involved with fire and cooking. Each dish was an explosion of flavors and textures, stamping clarity on the quality of the ingredients and intention put into alchemizing them. It was a clear reflection of the soulful people working there. Raised the bar for Argentinian cuisine and the definition of memorable food. Thank you Leo, Sabrina and staff for an unforgettable experience and the inspiration to share what is good with the world.

Dining at Ness was a unique experience, combining exceptional food, outstanding service, and a striking atmosphere. Reservations require planning due to the restaurant’s popularity, but the effort is worthwhile. The menu highlights creativity and sustainability, offering dishes with seasonal ingredients and bold, globally inspired flavors. The sharing-style approach allowed us to try multiple dishes, each crafted with care and complexity. Service was impeccable, with the staff going above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and informed, even offering personalized recommendations. Though the cocktails fell short of the exceptional standard set by the food, the wine list appeared well-curated and worth exploring. At $103,000 pesos for five half portions, one dessert, and two cocktails, the meal is on the higher side but justified by the quality and attention to detail. I think Ness is a must-visit for special occasions or anyone seeking a memorable dining experience and we will definitely be back.

Very good, solid restaurant, more or less a re-creation of Proper, the chef's previous restaurant, but with a pretty, Scandinavian modern decor rather than the rustic industrial look of that place. The food is generally quite good, but nothing stood out other than a truly excellent heirloom tomato salad, and a nearly as good amberjack carpaccio. Service was fantastic. The chairs... oh, the chairs... so uncomfortable (and, apparently, according to the hostess, the most common complaint they hear).

A memorable experience. Not only the food was exquisite and delicious but the staff was happy, helpful and professional. Everything we tasted was excellent: bread, mushrooms, fish and pork were perfectly cooked. Also leave room for dessert: they were amazing. We also liked the wine by the glass options and the 1/2 portions, perfect for couples.

The ambiance takes front stage at this really cool restaurant. Wine selection is also pretty good. The plates we ordered were not all worth the price, though. We loved the beef, the mollejas, and the remolacha salad. The pork was too salty, the bread was quite small and the cottage cheese was salty again. The chipirones were ok but I would not get them again. Shoutout to the basque cheesecake for dessert! The chocolate pudding is overwhelmingly coffee flavoured. Amazing service and atmosphere, but can’t rate it 5 stars since some dishes could to with some tweaking and the price of everything is quite high so I would expect them to be on par with it!

We stumbled upon this gem by total chance and wow. A unique experience with an open style kitchen concept and shared family style tables. The duck and beef were absolutely incredible and full of flavor. The cheesecake was potentially even better. For the price you really can’t beat such quality food. In addition the service and attention was such a bonus.
