Beautiful place to live. The lobby and rooftop patio are straight out of a magazine, the building is in pristine condition, and the gym has all the basic necessities for a good workout. I feel so safe in this neighborhood, and the local bars, restaurants, grocery store, and free street parking make life convenient. The building is right by the Blue Line and many bus stops, so I can be in the Loop or at the beach within 15-20 minutes. The apartment itself is brand-new with a picture window, skyline views, gas range, ice maker, great appliances, and in-unit laundry. The bathroom is nicer than most hotels, and there is so much built-in storage that a dresser isn’t necessary. Most of the tenants are young professionals (around 20-30) and are very social. One complaint I have is that the intersection outside is very busy, so crossing the street can be a little nerve-racking. There is no pool or hot tub, which have become standard in many high-rises in the city. And, at a price point of over $1800 per month for a 500-square-foot studio, you could find an apartment like this in any Chicago neighborhood—so make sure you love River West before moving here!
