Spanish Restaurant Teleferic Opens a New Location in Long Beach | Eater LA

"I also learned that after Earl of Sandwich closes and relocates, it will work on an additional new concept called Carnaby Tavern, which is inspired by 1960s British rock." - Rebecca Roland

Went here for lunch and the food was delicious. Their fries are some of the best I've tasted (from stealing off a different plate). My margherita flatbread so yummy with fresh basil hiding under the cheese. The location under bridge combined with Edgar Allen Poe theme, makes this place a mysterious adventure. Lunch time wasn't crowded today, and still had party atmosphere with loud music and friendly workers. Definitely sends nightlife party vibe.

As a fan of Poe and kind of a goth in general (also book nerd) I was disappointed somewhat. I was really excited when I heard about this place but my first visit was not at all what I was expecting. It was way more like a sports bar than I expected. Like, huge TVs blasting American football or something. Granted it was a Sunday. But on the other hand I figured this would be a little more upscale and sophisticated. It was ... not that. It was nice, not dumpy, but not upscale and far from sophisticated. It was mostly drunk people screaming, like this was around 6pm. They lots of space but in order to get service we had to sit in the main area by the bar. They were understaffed, but our waitress was nice. I think her name was Waitress. The kitchen got our order wrong, but the poutine was pretty awesome. The fries are excellent and the gravy was probably just the canned stuff, but because the fries were so good I didn't care. I dunno, might try it again. Be cool if they catered to the Goth crowd but this is 2022 (and Indianapolis) so I doubt that. The place was massive and would be great for any number of events. There were a few spots where they actually kind of made it look retro and vaguely upscale. I would have liked if those spots were sort of the norm and not the exception. Also turn down the sports. Feels like this place is trying to do 20 things and none of it quite works. I will check back again and be sure to pick maybe an evening that isn't sports related. I realize getting a new place up and running is a massive undertaking, I've worked at a few places that were brand new. So I'm hopeful they will get it together

The vibe of this place is really cool. I am totally into Edger Allen Poe. The decor and artwork are fantastic. I appreciate the attention to detail when they put together the study room. The pool, shuffleboard and duckpin bowling are fire! Ran into some other OG Naptown people after the KISS concert here. Jeff Board, fellow CG alum, helps run this place. He's a very nice and cool guy. Be sure to book this place out for your next corporate event. You WON'T be disappointed. Union Station is the bomb. Quote the raven, Nevermore

Cool place to catch some sports. Drinks were good but a little on the pricey side. My chicken and waffles did not make the cut.....it was to crunchy and I did not care much for the syrup sauce for the waffles. Chicken was mediocre and fried way too hard.

It certainly looks like a cool place, but the ownership bit off far more than they could chew. We came with a group of eight, were sat at a tiny table, and ordered. It took at least 20 minutes to receive our drinks, then our food arrived at vastly different times, with one end of the table getting served when the other end had already finished. Inventory control is obviously lacking, as they were out of a large number of integral ingredients, as well as at least half the draft beers. The glasses arrived dirty, and some of the food looked old and dry. As well as another group we encountered, we couldn't find anyone to help us with the duckpin bowling. None of the staff seemed aware of how to start a game. The bathrooms were filthy, built poorly, and damaged. The nail on the coffin, though, was the tour to the speakeasy that took us through part of the kitchen -- a massive health code violation. Be careful exiting, too, as the egress stairs are falling apart. It's reminiscent of businesses that are quite promising but the owners are too cheap to properly invest in staff and operational efficiency, instead driving the business deeper into the ground.

Pros: Service and atmosphere are great. There was a cool mini-bowling game that was fun. Cons: A burger, fries, and a single beer was over $35 after gratuity. It's not that the food was bad, but at that price point, there are much better options.

INCREDIBLE new spot in Indianapolis! This place has everything South Meridian was missing: a speakeasy, duckpin bowling, SEVEN separate bars, a rooftop venue overlooking all of Meridian Street and Monument Circle, a green room, a “man cave,” a library, and so much more. A nice man named Josh greeted us at the door and took us for a private tour of the entire 35,000+ square foot venture. Our bartender, Sam, made us the best cocktail I’ve had in a minute: The Raven. This place is obviously influenced by the great Edgar Allen Poe, hence the name. Will absolutely be back and I feel strongly this will be a staple of Indianapolis nightlife and downtown event venues for years to come. Wish I could give 6 stars!

Checked this place out on opening day with a few friends. Love seeing something so unique in this space. The decor is really cool with lots of interesting details in line with the Edgar Allen Poe theme. Definitely a place to get lost in with room after room to explore, each with a different vibe. The events director came by and introduced himself and mentioned that they have spaces for events like corporate events and bridal showers. The food itself was delicious, I dug into the salmon before taking a pic. The salmon was perfectly cooked and the rice/ veggies were a great accompaniment. Kiki was a great server as well, very attentive. I heard something about a speakeasy here but I’ll have to look for it next time. Overall a great first impression and look forward to coming back.
