A Luxury Train Ride From Singapore to Malaysia Redefines "Heritage"

New Bahru is a charming lifestyle complex thoughtfully converted from an old high school. It offers an interesting mix of tenants that you don’t usually find in typical malls. On the lower floors, you’ll discover plenty of cool cafes, CS Fresh supermarket and restaurants, while the upper floors have unique shops that are fun to explore. Although it’s not the most convenient place to reach by MRT, the walk there through quiet streets is quite pleasant. Overall, it’s worth a visit if you’re looking for something fresh and different in the city.

There is so much to see and do, from the fantastic restaurants and cafes to the beautiful club and a wide variety of other shops. It's truly a place worth exploring, with something for everyone to discover. Highly recommend a visit!

New Bahru is a new community mall in Singapore — transformed from an old high school but still keeps that nostalgic school vibe 🏫✨ The space is filled with charming cafes, great restaurants, and cool design shops. Perfect for a slow walk, weekend hangout, or just to soak in the atmosphere 🍵🎒🌿 Highly recommend if you’re into places with character!

Explored New Bahru on a weekday afternoon, I would say it was a great experience there. There were many unique shops that aren't found at many places in Singapore throughout the place, and it's definitely worth exploring! Only concern is that it was a distance away from the nearest MRT, so it's not the most convenient. Loved how the place turned out!

Awesome place to explore, but there’s not much to do here unless you have a specific activity you want to do in mind. Be ready to sweat as it’s super hot and there’s a lot of stairs. They do have elevators for those in wheelchairs or just unfit like me.

Since I was near Kim Yam Road on June 4, I decided to check out New Bahru, the creative hub developed by The Lo & Behold Group. It’s a cool spot that’s breathed new life into the old Nan Chiau High School, blending its architectural heritage with a fresh, modern vibe. The whole area feels like a hidden gem, surrounded by charming private homes and lovely heritage houses that really add to its character. If you’re looking for an interesting place to explore, I’d definitely recommend giving New Bahru a visit.
