Best Hot Dogs in Minneapolis and St. Paul | Eater Twin Cities

"This St. Paul beer garden offers some of the Cities’ most creative sausages to put between buns, like a Juicy Lucy brat stuffed with provolone and pepperoncini, a mac-and-cheese-stuffed brat, a lamb gyro link, and a wild boar sausage punched up with blueberries and merlot. Vegan brats from the Herbivorous Butcher are also available; for the kids, mini corn dogs and hot dog meals may satisfy." - Nina Raemont

Google
This was a very pleasant experience. Jason was outstanding and made us feel so welcome, if more people like him existed the world would truly be a better place. Food was yummy and very fairly priced! Will be returning here soon :-)

Sarah Doyel Stadtherr

Google
We enjoyed a rainy day late lunch. The pretzel appetizer is GIANT and very yummy. You can see why this is listed in the top 10 places for brats in MSP. We will plan to come back for other meals and beers!

Google
We had a fantastic time! I really appreciated the wide selection of beers on tap, featuring both local and out of state options. The food was excellent as well. We sampled a mix of traditional and exotic bratwurst. Among the unique offerings, we tried the smoked elk, which was tasty but didn’t quite blow us away. I loved the range of toppings available; we opted for bacon-braised sauerkraut and fresh onions, which complemented the flavors nicely. We also enjoyed a classic beer brat, a mac and cheese brat, and a Korean burger. I don’t believe the prices are bad because the food is leveled up. Overall, this place is a wonderful spot for exceptional beers and a creative twist on pub fare.

Google
Got the giant pretzel w/ pepper jack cheese dip, amazing! And the juicy Lucy brat with Philly toppings. Very satisfying love the toasted bun to hold it all together. Their drinks are mighty tasty as well.

Natasha Bruns

Google
Get the giant pretzel you won't regret it! This is a favorite lunch spot for my coworker and I. They have great lunch specials, it's casual, it's fast and everyone leaves satisfied. Brats are a go to but they also have tasty burgers. It's a fun spot to split a bunch of appetizers too! Giant pretzel is a must every time the pepper jack cheese dip is divine, cheese curds and pickle fries are great. We've been for trivia which was really fun. It's at the top of the list for suggestions to friends and family.

Google
The pretzel here is amazing. The fried pickles were also delicious. The burgers and brats are different. I haven't been impressed by the brats. Hubs liked his burger. It's just really expensive, so I'm not sure when I'll go back. The music was super loud, which made it difficult to visit.

Jason Parker

Google
I love this place, great selection of beers (I had to go back to work so I could not partake). Great French Fries, and dips for the fries. Staff was friendly, food was served fast. I definitely want to come back for dinner.

Google
My wife and I went on a Sunday afternoon. When we came in, the music was at a volume level, which was great, we were able to hear it well and still visit. Then, someone turned it up so loud I was having trouble hearing myself think. I noticed others who were enjoying the Sunday afternoon vibe, but left soon after the Saturday night vibe came on. After the music came up, I got the impression they are trying to be a "college bar". The food is always good, but the prices are very high for what you get. Everything is a la carte, no sides. $9 for a hotdog? I know the pretzel is huge, but it's not $19 huge. It's self-serve, so it's difficult to say you get great service. Overall, it was less than enjoyable and for the $90+ dollars spent just for the two of us, I wouldn't recommend .

Yelp
Love New Bohemia! All of the food I've had has been solid, the staff is great, and it's all affordably priced. They have maybe like, 20 different types of brats, ranging from the simple (like a plain beef dog) to the adventurous (alligator brat!!); my favorites are the wild rice & asiago and the juicy lucy brat. They run great deals throughout the week--for example, a $1 New Bohemia Gold beer if you buy an entree on Wednesdays. The only drawback is, since it's a beer hall-style place, it gets LOUD. Obviously, not the venue's fault, but that's the only thing that keeps this from being a go-to spot for me.

Yelp
New Bohemia made my list of places I must return to. We really enjoyed everything about this place. Very friendly bartender/order taker and a very fun, comfortable dining atmosphere that made you feel that you were dining in a nice traditional Beer Halle. We ordered a couple varieties of bratwurst, the juicy Lucy bratwurst was very good as was the traditional bratwurst. Pickle fries were a hit as well. Loved the mango ketchup. The German potato salad was at first very interesting and then after tasting very delicious. Very creative way to serve a fresh warm potato salad. Great beer selection, but I wish there was some nice New Ulm beers available, preferably Schells or Grain Belt but I'm biased.we'll be back.

Yelp
Great food as always! I love the variety of sausages they have - I honestly haven't even read the rest of the menu (burgers, salads, etc hahaha). Get the bacon kraut! It can be busy busy, but we went at 5 on a Saturday (happy hour!) and there was plenty of seating, indoor and out! Great little patio sheltered from the rain. Tons of beer options. Friendly staff. There's not many good hang out spots in Golden Valley - this is a good one!
google avatar

Yelp
A perfect spot to finish celebrating the first day of fall. It was still warm enough for us to enjoy the patio. I have to add the scenery is way better in one direction ( the trees across Hwy 55) than the other! It took us a minute to figure out that we needed to order at the bar, but once we did, service was prompt and friendly. We all enjoyed our beverages though only one of us actually had beer, despite that it was the beer samples on Record Store Day that made me want to try this place. I am a sucker for hard ciders and the New Bo Cider almost doesn't taste alcoholic, I only tasted apple but not too sweet. We all got wursts of one sort or another, the variety of toppings made it fun. Two of us had to have the German Potato Salad; we had never seen it made that way where the potatoes are fried instead of boiled. Once we got to the sauce it was more familiar, very similar to the recipe I use for that part. Since this place is just a few doors down from my favorite record store, I am pretty sure I'll be back soon.

Yelp
Stopped by New Bohemia in Golden Valley for a quick lunch with a colleague and really enjoyed it! It's a German-inspired spot, but I went with a classic cheeseburger and fries which hit the spot! What I loved most was the sauce selection. There were so many types of mustards and dipping options! As a sauce lover, that totally made my meal. The service was great too--one guy was handling the bar and tables, and he was super attentive. Would come back for a quick and casual lunch.
google avatar

Yelp
Great spot for German eats! Happy hour is often with good deals which is hard to find now days. Food is awesome and fresh and the staff know how to work a line! Can get loud as it is a smaller place and seating can be tight. Overall, worth the wait for a giant pretzel (with cheese), brat, and cold beer! Trivia is here and often so plan ahead if this is something you want to do or avoid.
google avatar

Yelp
I honestly thought this place closed years ago. I'm glad to see it was still open when I stopped by. I came by myself so I just sat up at the bar as the long beer hall tables were over kill for a party of one. I ordered the German bockwurst with sour kraut and caramelized onions. For my side I ordered potato salad. I liked the potato salad, but it wasn't remotely like any potato salad I've ever had. The bockwurst was very spicy so I'm guessing they gave me the wrong order or Germany has spicier food than I previously believed. I had iced tea, but if you drink beer, the variety looked impressive. The food came out fast and was reasonably priced. They have three vegan items on the menu. It's worth checking out if you like beer halls or bratwurst.
google avatar

Emily H.

Yelp
Awesome brats and a pretty good HH. I also love all the mustards and sauces they put on the table. The pretzel is also GINORMOUS! This is an awesome spot and highly recommended.
google avatar

Amy A.

Yelp
Always enjoy stopping in to New Bohemia! A great selection of beer and very tasty array of sausages. Excellent location to meet up with friends. Indoor area gets quite loud, outdoor seating is great. Walk up to order and food is delivered to your table fairly quickly. Reasonable prices. The brats are fantastic, mini corn dogs also very good. Try all the mustards, especially with the giant pretzel. Yum!!

Madison K.

Yelp
Great place! Passionate about their customers and animals! Love the pretzels! They are so good!!!!!!!
google avatar

Diane B.

Yelp
Interesting menu and broad choice for the adventurous palate. Bison, duck and ostrich. German Bock wurst is my go to with German potato salad. The pretzel is big enough to make friends and share. The beer list is huge. The food is just plain good
google avatar

Stacy A.

Yelp
I am a sauce girl and I love a place that has lots of flavored aioli and sauce options, definitely giving out bonus points for that! The space is great! Large room with long tables and a cute wrap around patio with outdoor seating for the warmer months. Although I've never been, I've picked up food during various trivia events and they look fun! The food is good although I usually stick to the cheese curds and basic brats (non of the exotic stuff for me). Definitely our favorite curds other than the MN state fair.
google avatar

Christina K.

Yelp
The best brats/wursts with a big beer selection! Adventurous wurst options available or just basic brats and choice of two toppings. The bacon brined kraut was delicious. Great indoor outdoor seating for a nice day out!
google avatar

Hannah G.

Yelp
New Bohemia is easily one of our favorite spots for Happy Hour, or dinner anytime! They've got a great lineup of beers and some really stellar brats. While I'd definitely recommend everyone try a brat on their first visit, other favorite menu items include the mini corn dogs (I'm not sure what makes them so special and delicious, but they are) and the fried pickles. The atmosphere is always relaxed, and there's plenty of TVs to watch whatever big game is happening. Pro tip: We love stopping by on Tuesdays from 5-6pm when select pints are just ONE DOLLAR.
google avatar

Steve G.

Yelp
I was recently on a business trip to the Twin Cities and after one of the work days, we had a small team outing to New Bohemia. It was a fun place - lots of interesting appetizers, particularly a wide range of sausages. We had a whole bunch of appetizers including the giant pretzel, cheese curds, pickle fries and chicken tenders. While none of them were out of this world, all of them were quite tasty. They have a wide range of local beers on tap, which is always great. MN has some outstanding breweries and it was good to have a couple local brews. Nice, open venue. Definitely worthwhile to check out for some solid food and lots of beer options!
google avatar

Lindsey S.

Yelp
Had our first New Bohemia experience today popping in for lunch. I ordered the sauce with wild rice inside and made it a combo which added a beer and fries for an extra $5 (total $12.50). The brat was good and I love love loved the fries with just the right amount of seasoning. We went around 12:30 on a Saturday and there was ONE total person working the dining area and the bar and he absolutely killed it. Didn't seem bothered at all by 40 patrons at once. I hope they can find more people but really the service didn't suffer at all. Can't wait to go back and try the Mac and cheese brat next!
google avatar

David P.

Yelp
I have only been here a few times, but found it pretty good. It's a great place to watch a sporting event. They have a big selection of beer and the food is spicy. It does help I live really close.
google avatar

Sydney S.

Yelp
Fun little bar with lots of variety when it comes to drinks! We didn't order food here but we stopped by after a dinner down the road. Very cozy-woody vibes, definitely an older establishment but it had everything we needed. Enjoyed some drinks and tried out some of their card/board games. Will definitely be back to try some food and sample a few different drinks!
google avatar

Jessica N.

Yelp
My second visit here was even better than the first. It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon and we sat outside. The happy hour beer specials are great and they have a wide variety of options to choose from. My meal was outstanding and generous in portion!
google avatar

Natalie Y.

Yelp
Yum yum yum! I loved eating here- their happy hour is super affordable. I got a beer, fries and a bratwurst all for $15 including tip! What?!? That is unheard of hahah I don't think I can barely get a chipotle meal or subway meal for that much. I got the jalapeño/cheese sausage, their fries, and a jalapeño Mayo aoili! Their sauces and mustards are so delicious- can't wait to try more flavors and bratwursts too. Business was boomin during happy hour! What a local gem!
google avatar

Paul S.

Yelp
Great selection of beers, fun & inventive food: gyro brat anyone? And a chill, fun atmosphere. What's not to like?? See you at Happy Hour
google avatar

Sally R.

Yelp
Wanted to find a new BierHaus after moving to the area and wasn't disappointed at all with either the beer or food! We got an order of fries, a surly beer brat, and pretzel and we severely underestimated the pretzel size! When they say giant they meant GIANT! Food was all great - we had caramelized onions and the coleslaw with the brat and both were perfect compliments. For beer we were stocked to see they had some goose island bourbon country stout so we got that as opposed to trying some of their in house beers, but I'm sure we'll be back again and can try them then.
google avatar

Brandon J.

Yelp
It was my first visit to this place, and ya better believe that New Bohemia brat it big time... ;) -- I tried the New Orleans Cajun Andouille, Rattlesnake Rabbit Jalapeño, and Smoked Jalapeño & Cheese Sausages Yes, Rattlesnake + Rabbit, and it ROCKED! Crazy but cohesive. This place also offers a wondrous array of toppings and condiments. It has leapfrogged to my top 5 favorite restaurants, because you gotta try as much as ya can, right!? And look at that pretzel... holy buckets! Next time, I'll get twisty with it. But if you stick with brats, you won't be distraught.
google avatar

Cindy O.

Yelp
Wandered in during a dismal Vikings game. The garage doors were open and a nice breeze was coming thru. Decided to get a Castle Danger Maple and it was awesome. What was even more awesome was the brat. July Lucy brat....was divine. Bun was slightly toasted yet soft. Caramelized onions and sautéed mushrooms were spot on. The meal certainly made up for the terrible lackluster game.
google avatar

Angie S.

Yelp
I really enjoy this location. It's off the beaten path, but worth the short drive off highways 55, 169 or 394. Plan to hang out here and watch the game or play trivia. There are long picnic style tables to sit, just like the other locations. Come for unique sausages, and brats. They have a bunch of house sauces to put on with your added toppings. I would encourage everyone to also order the giant pretzel appetizer! My only complaint, is that it doesn't come with enough delicious cheese sauce! Make sure to order a second cup of cheese sauce. It'll come out fresh baked and warm. They also have a full wall of beer options, so drank up. Enjoy!
google avatar

Sarah B.

Yelp
Great spot with outdoor seating and perfect for larger groups. A lot of beers on tap (minimal ciders). Delicious pub food - curds, fried pickles, giant pretzel, great hot dog combos. Can't go wrong here!
google avatar

Sarah P.

Yelp
Food was basic not good no flavor and not local . Loud music. Bun was stale and mustard bottles all sticky .

Yelp
New Bohemia is a German style bar that has a lot of unique foods to try, a fun bar atmosphere, and all at a reasonable price. This is a review of my experience from doing take out from the Golden Valley location. Restaurant: New Bohemia is located at an outdoor mall section right off of Highway 55. It is very easy to get to and you can spot it from the Highway. Once you get in the parking lot it is even more easy to find since it is a corner store so they can have their restaurant signs on every side. From the outside you can see people enjoying their food and drinks on the outdoor patio and it makes you feel like you are about to have a fun time. Once inside you enter a long hallway that has glass containers on the left hand side filled with beer kegs. It's a pretty cool decorative concept that makes you feel like you are getting a behinds the scene look into the workings of the bar. Never seen that before so I really enjoyed the astheic of the bar. Once there you have the main food ordering section which was closed for us, then the sit down section, and then the bar it's self. I didn't psychically eat here but it looked fun and comfortable. There were plenty of seats at the bar and inside the dining room. My favorite part was the large doors that lead to the patio. It brought a lot of natural light into the building and let a really nice breeze in as well. Besides that I didn't get to spend much time in there since my food was ready for take out but I definitely liked what I saw and definitely want to come and try to eat here some time in person. In the end I grabbed my food from the nice bartender and I was on my way back home to taste what I have ordered! Food: Now let me tell you that I had such a long drive home smelling the aroma of the food. It smelled so good that it was hard not to just start ripping and digging into the bag and just devouring the first thing I could grab! I'm so glad I waited cause it was so much better being able to take my time with it when I got home. We tried a few different things and I will work from my least favorite to my favorite. BELGIAN-STYLE FRIES - this was my least favorite on the menu. The fries tasted no better than Five Guys and I don't like their fries. It was soggy and just tasted like grease to me. WISCONSIN BEER BATTERED CHEESE CURDS - Now this was a huge step up from the fries! These cheese curds were crunchy, gooey, squeaky, and flavorful. They didn't taste too greasy and had plenty of flavor coming through the layers of batter and cheese. These were definitely a highlight of the meal for me. MINI DOUGHNUTS W/ CINNAMON SUGAR - By far the best Mini Donuts I have ever had. They gave the state fair or any farmers market or food truck mini donuts a run for their money. Everything about them was delicious. Soft on the inside, hard on the outside. Not too much grease and the right amount of the cinnamon sprinkling on top! MINI CORNDOG BASKET W/ DIPPING SAUCE -These were just heaven wrapped in a golden flaky crust. Supremely delicious and didn't taste like all the other fried food as well. It had such a nice crunchy outside layer without tasting like burnt grease. And the hotdog on the inside was cooked perfectly and had just the right amount of bite. GIANT BAVARIAN PRETZEL W/ PEPPER JACK CHEESE - Now this is the crème de la crème of the whole experience! To start this pretzel is massive! This is by far the biggest and best pretzel I have ever had in my life. It outshines Mickey pretzels from Disney World and pretty much any other pretzel I can think of. It had the right amount of salt on top and was so soft and easy to break apart. Definitely the best part of the whole meal! Overall: This is a must to try out and I hope that you do! The food that we tried was absolutely delicious and we can't wait to go and try the same foods and new ones as well. The prices add up quickly but everything ended up being well worth the money.
google avatar

Blair E.

Yelp
Solid four stars. The brat, fries toppings and sauces were all very good. The drawback was that huge pretzel it was taunting me the whole time but I was by myself today. I will definitely return with some backup to get a pretzel. ( sooner rather than later ). Good / friendly service from the bartender.

Hali M.

Yelp
My sister and I came here and had a fantastic experience. The staff was friendly and helpful. The brats were amazing and I loved the options to customize them. They have a great selection of beers (you can find the list online) and I enjoyed the ones I tried. It was clean and there were many places to sit. We came on St. Patrick's Day and were pleasantly surprised to find it wasn't busy.
google avatar

Jake L.

Yelp
Went during the day when it was slow. Beer was good, rattlesnake was great, boar and alligator were okay. The buns I was disappointed with. Generous sides
google avatar

Yande M.

Yelp
Yum! I don't know why it's taken me this long to eat at a New Bohemia restaurant! I came here for a Golden Valley State of the City meeting and stayed for the food. I didn't know what to expect with the food here but I was sooo impressed! I got a Surly Beer Brat with the chili option and YUM. It was packed with flavor. I'm so satisfied with this and will definitely be back to have another! They have plenty of drink options and the restaurant has a fun, community-like layout. I love this place.
google avatar

Kevion E.

Yelp
Solid bar. The big pretzel, hot dogs, and burger are good. Trivia night is also fun! We like to head over every once in awhile for a Casual evening/afternoon out.
google avatar

Caitlin K.

Yelp
This was my second visit to a New Bohemia, and I was just as satisfied as I was with my first visit. We ordered a giant pretzel, and man, is it giant! It was too much pretzel for our party of four, but it didn't stop us from trying. The beer cheese paired perfectly with the pretzel, which was hot and fresh. I also had the jalapeño cheese brat with spicy slaw and hot peppers. It turned out to be too much spice, but the flavors were great. I do wish there was an option to order the brat without a bun for a few dollars less. The buns are pretzel buns, which are heavy to begin with, and then we ordered the pretzel too. New Bohemia has a great combo deal - the cost of a brat plus friends and a pint of beer for $5 more.
google avatar

Marc R.

Yelp
It's chaos most afternoons. Seating is hit or miss. Pay as you go and servers collide making paying and reordering a challenge at times. Recommend pretzel. Otherwise it's brats.
google avatar

Katie U.

Yelp
Great spot to sample new beers, explore new food, and coke with a crowd. You order at the counter and can start a tab so it's easy to bring groups here. The giant soft pretzel is out of this world. It's giant, delicious, and can feed a small army. While it is scrumptious I don't recommend ordering this for less than 4 people. It's so enormous that you won't be able to finish it no matter how hard you try. The fries are also another really good side and you get to pick a few of their sauces on the side. The chipotle was perfectly spicy and creamy. For sausages they have a couple different categories depending on how adventurous you're feeling. I like the classic surly brat and the turkey apple. The toppings can totally transform the sausage too so I recommend adding the peppers and onions for something traditional. If you can't decide on just one the sampler is a good option to try different sausages.
google avatar

Deb S.

Yelp
Hoped for a wonderful meal and some good beer. Stopped in and the place was packed but for five open tables. Our party of four adults was turned away. They explained we needed a reservation and yet... Nowhere on the website does it say we need reservations. We looked and double checked. We called and no reservation could be taken over the phone. What the heck??!!!! It saddens me when customer service is based on a whim and not what is accurately shared with the public. You lost a couple of good customers but you probably don't care.
google avatar

Ashley B.

Yelp
Unique idea and in a category of its own. Creative brats... like rattlesnake rabbit, great sauces, and lots of beer. They frequently have tap takeovers, and a bar you can go purchase more drinks at as you eat, chat, and enjoy their garage-style patio. Large parking lot in suburbia with many other shops around. They have several other locations around MN as well. At this location you will frequently see large work parties and sports fans watching the game.

Yelp
Rotating Beer Taps Great Food Excellent Service $1.00 Pints Tuesday Nights!
google avatar

Dylan J.

Yelp
Great place to grab a beer and a brat, food is all really good and beer selection is great and it's nice they have a full bar for the non beer drinkers, menu is a little limited though. It's also a great place to catch a game.
google avatar

Erica S.

Yelp
This place always has solid beer choices on tap with knowledgeable bartenders. The cheese curds here are the best in town and you can't go wrong with the brats either. Trivia nights on Thursday usually have a really good turn out.
google avatar

David Z.

Yelp
Great food. Friendly service. Dog friendly. Lots of great veggie options. Can't wait to come back.

Yelp
My wife and I took a drive about 5 miles north from Edina to Golden Valley to use a $30 Groupon to New Bohemia. I have been to the Northeast Minneapolis one and had the rattlesnake brat. Fantastic! I ordered a Buffalo chicken brat and an alligator brat, both with spicy slaw and sweet and hot peppers. Since I had the Groupon, I ordered both of the beers I was going to get, to close out the $30 voucher. I got a Surly Black IPA, very solid. Not as good as Furious, but good. I also got the HopShifter from Surly. It is seasonal, so I don't know what version it was, but this was probably the first Surly I didn't like. Very earthy hops. The Buffalo chicken brat was huge, with lots of awesome spicy kraut on top, which was awesome! The sweet and spicy peppers added a nice blend to the spiciness. The bun was falling apart after a few bites, but the bun was fluffy and tried to hold its own. I liked the alligator brat more. It had more flavor and seemed to have more substance. This place had about 30 different brats to choose from. Very cool. When I turned in my Groupon, they couldn't scan my voucher, so they took my phone and marked the voucher redeemed. Kind of weird, but it could be because it was a new Groupon? Definitly a loud place, but lots of TVs and it was crazy busy. My dad would love this place as much as I did.

Yelp
So good! Used to come to watch basketball/soccer games, but recently ordered for take out - Food was hot & equally fire at home! As a semi-vegetarian, the Thai Kimchee brat from Herbivorous is SO GOOD. However, I've never heard anyone say their food wasn't good. Fries are to die for; love all the sauce choices you can dip em in. All slaws are amazing. Will have to get take out again soon!
google avatar

Jess G.

Yelp
I went to New Bohemia during the Surly take over just so I could sample ALL the Surly beer. It's a great location that's a short drive from major high ways like 55, 169, 394, and 100. It's quiet but not too quiet. It has a great 'beer hall' vibe that was very enjoyable especially on a Saturday where every TV screen was a different football game with many different fans cheering for different teams. I had a Mac and Cheese stuffed brat which is every Mac and cheese lovers dream! Brat with mac and cheese inside of it, and of course i got it topped with Mac and cheese (but I would put Mac and cheese on EVERYTHING if that was an option at any restaurant!!) and most importantly it came on a delicious pretzel bun which made it perfection. Personally I thought it was very little food for the price tag, but I did enjoy the brat. It just wouldn't be a frequent stop due to the prices. The beer hall is great with sooo many table with soo many TV's and going on a Saturday meant every college football game was up and someone was cheering for it. It was a fun environment that I enjoyed my time. I would like it more if you took $1-2 off EVERY item there. $8 for just a brat is a little too expensive for my liking. A flight of beet was $14! We ended up getting fries on the way home cause we couldn't get ourselves to spend more money then we already did. | Overall great beer selection, great brat and great brat selection. A decrease in the price would be greatly appreciated.

Yelp
We live walking distance to this place it always seems to be packed & busy. We where out on a walk & decided to try it. Nice place very open we tried 2 things & split our meal we tried the Juicy lucy bratwurst, I'm not a huge bratwurst fan it was ok & we tried the Korean burger & that burger was amazing & very flavorful. We also had the fries with the ranch dill dip. I was very satisfied we decided to try this place. Can't wait to have that burger again!

Yelp
What is this sign I see while driving down Hwy 55! My favorite NE place, closer to home!!!! They did a great job with this old pizza place. Lots of good open space, lots of natural light, with the same big sharing tables and attachment to the outdoors. They have big overhead doors that roll up for summer, when ever the hell it does get here. From what I can tell they have the same great food, great beer selection and good service as the NE location. Cant wait for summer to get here so I can be a regular while biking back from Mpls, perfect place for the last pit-stop! KT

Yelp
Good food. Nice place. We like the hot dog, fries, big pretzel, and burgers! Would recommend for a casual day out.

Tried this place with a couple of buddies who are German Biergarten/Bier Haus veterans. They found it to be a reasonably decent attempt to recreate the atmosphere of a Bavarian Beer Hall. Two of us chose Surly Hell Fire Brats to which we added spicy kraut and caramelized onions. We were both disappointed that they failed to live up to their intimidating admonition. Still, they were quite good and a relative bargain for $7.00 (each). A traditional brat rounded out our order and was pronounced "pretty good." I added a draft root beer which reminded me of the delicious nectar served in frosty mugs by A&W back in the day. We also ordered the "Giant Bavarian Pretzel" with pepper jack cheese. At the lofty price of $14.00, it would work better for parties of six or more. As it was, we barely made a dent in it. I took home the lion's share and, after noshing on it for a few days ended up tossing about a third of it away. In retrospect, it probably would have frozen well. The outside seating was a welcome option on a beautiful summer day. Inside was a bit cavernous, dark and noisy. Better suited I think for a crackling cold winter night.
