Google
Great spot for a nice low key dinner. I’d say it’s nicer and cleaner than most of the other spots in town. The decor is kind of cool. The menu features many dishes you’d expect to find at most Chinese restaurants in the area. Food was brought out promptly on some nice dishes. The waitstaff were very friendly. A great value for the price. I think this might be my new go-to Chinese restaurant in town.

Google
quick service, we had our meals within 18 minutes. The portions are good size, i have some cons. The food was salty and the rice had an off after taste. almost as if it was turning. Not sure what to make of it. it was a Friday afternoon so would have expected fresh food.

Google
I don't know how this place isnt more popular when I got this much food for 15 dollars. The staff were very nice and the food came out pretty quickly. The fried rice and chow mein were super tasty and the taste + texture on my walnut chicken were immaculate. Honestly speaking I'm scared they are going to go out of business with these prices. Yummy, 10/10 would go again

Google
We got the family dinner meal for 2, $21.75 each person, each person choose an entree. We got the Mongolia beef and honey walnut shrimp. Love the appetitizers, chicken wings, shrimp, and eggroll. The wonton soup was bomb!!!!! Must try, and the dinner meal is worth it. We ate to our fullest and still have leftover for 2 nights. We will definitely come back. I give this my Q/Q!! Quality/quantity!!!

Google
Pretty Average Chinese Place. My favorite was the orange chicken. The sauce was great but did not need to be breaded. Chow mein tasted like fast food. pretty average. Honey Walnut Shrimp did not need breading and could use more sauce.

Hot and sour soup, Salt and Pepper Fish, House Chow Mein Hong Kong Style, Crispy Pot Stickers and chased down with an ice cold Sapporo. Yum!!!

From the beginning the ringer woman was a bit rude. Not sure if her day was super busy or she’s stressed but she yanked the menu out of my hands after ordering. The other woman was a lot more attentive and friendlier offering drinks fixing our chairs, overall showed more effort in our comfort and requests. The soup had an excessive amount of egg yolk, with an odd smell. Tasted a different serving of the soup and it had less (I could have had a bad batch). The egg roll was terrible, crunchy but had an off taste too it almost as if a vegetable was possibly going bad but still put in. Not greasy, not over stuffed, not burned it was decent. The dipping sauce was a bit too strong for me it gave me a slight bitter taste almost made my head throb. The chow mein is cooked exactly like a flea market truck I know. (Not exactly 4 1/2 tar material as the reviews are given) The chicken teriyaki was fried not grilled which is a nice change. Chicken was soft on the inside, the sauce was super salty though. The rice was over steamed, but the vegetables were perfect compared to the rest of the dish lol. I gotta say the fried wonton was my favorite… nicely fried not burned not too oily. Everything else is questionable!!

Google
The restaurant offers an authentic Chinese dining experience with a cozy atmosphere and friendly service. The Chow Mein is a must-try. Perfect for a quick lunch or a leisurely dinner.

Yelp
Yesssss! My food was very delicious! I ordered Plate B dinner plate because I love egg fu yong. Plenty of food and flavor on one dish, and I didn't leave hungry! Our waitress was very nice, and attentive. I also love the patrons that came in this night, very quiet older people. I will definitely be back!

Yelp
Love it. It's our go to Chinese restaurant. Love the Lunch specials. Very reasonable.

Holly D.

Yelp
Service was great! Friendly and very prompt. Hot soup was the best part of the meal. The combination meal and lunch special were barely edible, Fried rice has very little flavor. Chow Mein, my favorite at these restaurants, would have been better if not combined with the entree Entree was cashew vegetable and the sauce was not good. Just plain bad. We will not be returning and unless new cooks, we are done,

Yelp
I have been here twice so far, both times carry out. I got a lunch special once and the wor wonton soup the other time. The staff is nice enough and my food is always ready in a timely manner. The lunch special was good, about what you'd expect. A nice change from the "fast food" options. And the wor wonton was as hearty and savory as I had hoped. Hot and fresh. No complaints. I'll try more of their menu when I can.

Ana L.

Yelp
Traveling and yelp suggested this restaurant. Food had little flavor, better meal at Panda Express .

Antonio M.

Yelp
We ordered chicken chop suey add pork and it had no flavor whatsoever. No salt, no garlic, nothing.
google avatar

Sandi L.

Yelp
I guess it was a communication situation. I consider a $15 lunch a small treat for myself but don't consider this fresh tasting food. Won't be back.

Yelp
My wife and I had dinner here this evening. We have been here several time over the last few years and the food has always been good. Tonight the food seemed to have an off taste/flavor. We finished our meals and after we went home neither of us has tummy aches it's just the food tasted different this time.

George W.

Yelp
Good food good staff Prices fair Always tasty Great urge when you're craving Chinese food Su is the hostess server and is very nice as well as the others. Always stop by when visiting Mom from Nevada Michael likes it

Lisa M.

Yelp
The pricing is decent, the food is good but too salty for me. The service is ok, the atmosphere is ok.

Yelp
Deliciosa y muy limpia. No era tan caro, comi pollo naranja . Regreso muy pronto! Gracias

Yelp
This was a great place for a small group. You get mounds of food. The picky one of the group said she would come back. The downside during dinner a bug landed on the table, sqashed it withmy napkin and they just took the napkin. If bugs are falling from somewhere in the dining area what is happening in the kitchen The price was above average we spent about $275 for 11 people no alcohol and before tip. We left more food then we ate.

Marla M.

Yelp
Food is fresh and light (not heavy or old oil over used). The servers are very friendly and are aimed to please. Pleasant and peaceful atmosphere, able to unwind.

Yelp
When we come to Visalia we always come and eat Here. They have fresh and great Chinese food. The waitresses are always kind, helpful and friendly. We always get the same from the menu. My husband gets broccoli beef and sweet and sour pork it comes with chow Mein and rice also egg roll and wontons and a bowl of egg flour soup. My mother in law Gets the sweet And sour chicken plate that also comes with noodles and rice. She loves this. My daughter gets the teriaky chicken only she asks not to put the teriaky sauce and she get sweet and sour sauce instead. I always get Vegetales noodles. It is very delicious. They make it not to oily and very flavorful. This is one of our favorite places to eat Chinese food. If you are in Visalia pay them a visit!! Really great food. Friendly and fast service.

Cynthia R.

Yelp
Overall cleanliness needs improvement, wiping down sauces, table, etc. Appetizers came out with all the main courses, not enough waitresses to accommodate a Saturday evening. Some food came out cold.
google avatar

Deborah F.

Yelp
Orange chicken was dry and no flavor. Egg drop soup was great. Chow mein good. Rice was so so.
google avatar

Kevin C.

Yelp
Finally authentic and great service food! My wife isn't a fan of trying new soups and she was served egg drop and fell in love with it. We'll be coming back more times than we'd care to admit.

Melinah B.

Yelp
My favorite Chinese restaurant here in Visalia. The food is always fresh and delicious. They are always so helpful and sweet. We love coming here

Dolly M.

Yelp
The food is wonderful at New China. The service was pretty darn good. We really enjoyed it and always return every year

Yelp
Best soup. My favorite Chinese food restaurant. Fast, good, and clean. Delicious. Must try.

Chuchyz T.

Yelp
Good food, fast service. The staff is very friendly and helpful with any questions. Would definitely come again.

Yelp
Good amount of food & very good !! I personally don't eat pork so I always ask for my chow mein w/o it they do charge a xtra $1.50 charge but it's worth it (:
google avatar

Yelp
New China is my go to spot here in Visalia. Inside the restaurant is always clean and their staff is friendly and welcoming. Food has always been good and never has disappointed. Will continue to visit for my Chinese food fix
google avatar

Yelp
Give me the fried tofu!!! What makes it so good?! Even if you're a meat eater and you don't normally like tofu, it's so good here! The fried tofu is crispy, has crunchy little rice things, and has jalapeños (or some time of chili) l. Not only that, it comes with a hefty portion of chow mein and fried rice for a little over $10. If you're eating in the restaurant you get soup too! The portions here are so much, two adults can eat from one meal! I'm not talking skinny adults, I'm talking two hungry adults. This is probably my coworkers favorite spot. Some love the orange chicken, but I say eh. My coworkers also love the soups, especially the wonton soup. Again, very generous servings. Most lunch specials are about $8 and the portions are full-sized. The staff is fast and efficient. Your call in order will always be hot and ready on time!

Yelp
New China is one of the best Chinese restaurants in Visalia. The staff is always very friendly, accommodating and attentive to their customers. The restaurant is modern but not trendy, roomy, always clean and inviting. The food is always top notch, regardless of what you order. They even have a few spicy dishes featured on their menu for those that like it hot! The food is consistently delicious and served with large portions. They usually have daily and lunch specials as well. If you like orange chicken you're in luck. I recommend trying the House Orange Chicken! Instead of cut up individual chunks of chicken, the House Special is a large breast, lightly breaded and deep fried with the orange sauce poured over it, right before it's served. You may never go back to "regular" Orange Chicken!

Yelp
The service was good. About the food now. We (my family and I) have been trying to find a new Chinese restaurant that has combos with Chicken fried rice & Chicken Chow Mein. We went here hoping this. But to our surprise they only sold it as an entree. The combos do not say "No Substitutions". But when we asked about getting Chicken fried rice & Chicken Chow Mein. We were told they only do pork with combos. I am unable to eat pork; so this was not acceptable to me. So my family ate why I just sat there at no watched.

Yelp
What a wonderful restaurant! Food was delicious, service was great and quick, and what great value. We had the special dinner with lemon chicken and the combo C. I love that they give you so much variety at such a great price. And you do not have to compromise on taste! 10/10 would recommend.

Yelp
We got takeout and all the food was excellent. Pork chow mein, garlic chicken, pot stickers, and hong kong style fried noodles. Large portions, and the staff was very friendly!
google avatar

Marshall M.

Yelp
We went here last night for dinner. The restaurant is nice inside and is located in a strip mall. The food was solid. We got the chicken chow fun, black bean chicken and pot stickers. The chow fun was awesome and tasted great. The black bean chicken was good quality chicken. The pot stickers were filled with delicious meat and veggies. My only complaint was the pot stickers were deep fried and I like them steamed. But it could be my fault because I did not ask if they steam or pan fried pot stickers. Some places do let you choose how to cook your pot stickers. But overall this is a solid Chinese food place.

Yelp
Food was delicious 1st time there. Celebrated my birthday with some family. everyone was very polite and friendly service was excellent

Yelp
So my coworker and I came to this restaurant to try out their food since our usual spot was closed today. We usually go to Cantons. Anyways I ordered wor wonton soup and after dumping out most of the broth, I was left with half a container full. It's all mainly broth. Not worth $11 if you ask me. At cantons you get an entire container full of wontons meat and veggies and the soup on the side. It tasted good but I won't be ordering the soup from here anymore. It's a ripoff for the money. I mean cmon it's not that hard to add more ingredients and not so much soup. Plus they forgot my coworkers egg roll. She also got a few egg shell pieces that she spat out. I tried including a picture of the last piece of eggshell that was on the rice.

Yelp
I have been ordering food here since Late 2017. My husband enjoys their salt and pepper chicken wings [they do have a tendency of accidentally giving us the salt and pepper chicken (like nuggets of chicken breasts) instead, always verify before you leave with your to go] Really enjoys how they are battered, fries, and seasoned. To complete his order, he gets large serving of their chicken fried rice. I usually order their Honey walnut shrimp plate with chow mein, egg roll, and pork fried rice on the side. Sometime I get their Hong Kong Style Pan Fried Noodles with just Veggies and there is no disappointment. I've ordered a good amount once for a party at my home, they were accommodating to cater! Plus side, one of my kids is allergic to peanuts and have not had a reaction with eating the fried rice and chow mein. Every now and then he'll eat some of my Honey Walnut Shrimp XD We live in Tulare and make the 15 min drive down Mooney to get our Chinese Cravings filled. The only down side is that we can find any place that will do roasted duck :[ Really miss the Bay Area. All in all, we don't eat Chinese food anywhere else!

Yelp
Clean, friendly, inviting calm atmosphere, with quality food. Service is excellent especially in their soda/beer refills!!!!

Yelp
Food here is quite solid, and for Chinese American fare, it was well made. We ordered the Wor Won Ton Soup which had house made won tons filled with a nice portion of marinated ground pork. The soup base was flavorful with a good amount of ground pepper in it to give it a little spiciness. Lots of vegetables to enjoy from this soup as well. This order could feed about 6 people. House Special HK Style Pan Fried Crispy Noodles, which is Hong Kong style chow mein made with the thin egg noodles deep fried until much of it is nice and crispy. The mixture of meats (shrimp, bbq pork and chicken) and vegetables (bok chow, zucchini, carrots) along with a sauce are all tossed in the wok before drenched on top of the noodles. The sauce will soften up parts of the noodles, so you get both the crunchy and the chewy aspects of the noodles. It was delicious. Sesame Chicken was prepared on the drier side, without the sauce, which was good. However, I find that the extra sauce would provide a good contrast to the crunchiness of the batter. Service was good and attentive. The portions are quite generous.

Yelp
This is a Valentine Tradition to do take out here. The owners and staff are always polite and friendly, I've never been disappointed with the food and when going into the restaurant it is always clean with a warm feeling. New China one-off are go to spots.
google avatar

Wayne G.

Yelp
Love this place, all the food is always delicious. Hardly ever have to wait at all, though we waited 5 minutes on Valentine's Day without a reservation so that was great, too. It's steep for a domestic beer for $6, but overall worth it to enjoy with such a great dinner at an otherwise affordable price!
google avatar

Yelp
Food was good I had placed an order when I got there and it didn't take too long for the food to be prepared which was nice. Friendly service

Yelp
New China is my new favourite Chinese food place in Visalia! The restaurant is decorated so beautifully and the ambience is peaceful! The food has such a freshness to it and even though a lot of the food is cooked in oil/fried, it isn't greasy! I could go on and on about the quality of the food! The portions are massive for the price you pay. I had to get a to go box and my sweet and sour pork was STILL nice and crispy the next day after reheating! My broccoli beef was soo tender and juicy! Best I've ever had! The staff is great and attentive. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Cynthia M.

Yelp
Yes. Just yes. I ordered the sesame beef lunch special and it was soooo freaking good. The soup was 10/10 too. Highly recommend

Kerri H.

Yelp
Oh my goodness...where to begin! Clean, bright and well decorated seating awaited us on arrival. My best friend and I ordered pot stickers, which were cooked perfectly. The pot stickers were enjoyed as an appetizer, along with hot tea (yes...even on a 106° day here in the Visalia...) and raspberry tea. The two main entrées ordered were walnut shrimp and Mongolian beef. These were both lunch specials which included a soup course, main entree with fried rice AND noodles. Chili oil was available upon request. Everything was delicious. I highly recommend this wonderful restaurant. The staff were friendly and attentive.

Maria Jasmin T.

Yelp
Large portion sizes. Food is delicious, the service is great. They are always accommodating with large orders.

Yelp
In all this time that I have lived I have never visited this Chinese Restuarant. I went due to the reviews and I had already been craving Chinese food like no other. So I went and as I walked in you could see how clean and well painted the place was compared to other Chinese establishments I have visited before. The staff is super friendly and from the moment I ordered my food and paid the food was out in 10 or less. To be honest it was within 5-10 minutes, which is quick. They had just opened and had a few tables so that was quite impressive. I took the food togo and had ordered a dinner combo minus the soup because it was take-out. There was a lot of food and it all looked and tasted great. I was quite impressed with the flavor in the broccoli beef I had got. I love that specific dish and they definitely did not disappoint in "wowing" me with that dish. None of tasted microwaved or from the day before, it was all very fresh and made to order. I can't wait to come back and probably take a seat to enjoy everything they have on the menu.

Yelp
Delicious food and friendly service. New China is our new go-to for Chinese food here. Conveniently located. Business is very accommodating to our preferences.

Yelp
Excellent authentic food love the War won ton soup always great broth and veggies cooked just right only spot that has the BEST Hong Kong noodles a must try
google avatar

Jessica M.

Yelp
This place used to be unbeatable but lately I feel like the quality has slipped. Still my favorite Chinese food restaurant in town but forever missing the New China from a year or 2 ago.
google avatar

Clarissa L.

Yelp
Just so people with babies know, there is not a changing table in the women's restroom! Other than that, it was so good! We were greeted immediately and were told to pick a table since there were only 3 other parties. We got our drinks fast, ordered, and the food took maybe 15 minutes, but didn't feel long at all. The restaurant temperature was perfect and the food was amazing. I don't usually like the soup at restaurants, but I ate all of it and was scraping the bowl. The portions were awesome and the prices were decent for the amount of food you get. I will be going back!

Yelp
Our go to place for great Chinese food. The staff is so nice! House orange chicken is our favorite. Highly recommended

Yelp
This use to be one of my favorite spots to eat ! But, after tonight I will no longer go ! First we got to the place 5:15pm and as soon as the waitress came up we order water and our dinner ! We got our food at 6:05 and the waitress never came back to refill our waters or asked if we needed anything ! We called her over 3 times and she would say " I will be right there" but never came we decided to pack our food and leave ! I told the waitress when I went to pay that " I was a little upset because she never came back to refill our water or check on if we needed anything ! Our food was cold and we were thirsty ! You would think she would of gave us at lease a 10 % discount or something but all she said was she was busy ! I left her no TIP because she sure didn't deserve one . I've been going there for about 6 years and I will not be going there again ! I wasn't the only customer that was upset and left !
