New China

I have been coming to this Chinese place since 2012 and the food has always been hot, delicious and quality. When I go in the owner usually remembers what I like each time. I will usually ask for additional Shrimp $3.00 extra and the owner would prepare it accordingly but the last three times I get less food and the additional Shrimp is not added and yet I pay extra money for it. I wouldn't say anything hoping they would get it right on the next visit. So I took some time away for awhile and decided to come back tonight. The same thing happened when I got the food home I decided to call back and express my dissatisfaction. The lady mentioned it to the cook in the back and he told her that he added extra shrimp. I told her I was not going to argue I just won't return. I'm a great cook myself so I will just stay at home and prepare my own food and not go back to this facility again.

No frills, fast service inexpensive Chinese takeout restaurant. Workers are nice and their menu is straightforward to order. Food is slightly bland (personal preference) but can be easily modified with sauce.

found hair in my food and when I called to let them know the person who answered the phone asked me. When did I make my purchase and I told her and the only thing she said was that she wasn’t working that day she told me to hold on and after telling me hold on, she told me she will call me right back, but she never did. I also gave them my receipt number and everything still no response no refund no apologies nothing!

Nothing fancy, super fast, & tasty food. Great take out and always hot and fresh.

I made an order and I called to let them know I was running late because I called the wrong location. When I showed up they had gave MY FOOD away and then laughed about it

Solid food anything I have had there has been good. I think they have changed owners so let’s see how that goes.

We got shrimp with lobster sauce and pork egg foo young. It was hot, fresh and tasty. Well packaged. Will definitely order from them again.

We're visiting from out of town and wanted easy takeout. The interior and exterior was a bit sketchy and made you wonder if you wanted to trust it. However, this place was very busy, which tells me that it must have a good reputation. Our food was delicious.

This is one of my favorite places to order take out from! The broccoli with garlic sauce is an absolutely must try and the shrimp and broccoli is fantastic. The broccoli is prepared just right - it's not mushy. I like to order these dishes as side dishes for my dinner. Also this is one of the only places I have found in town that has Singapore noodles - pretty much the best! Food is prepared very quickly - and quality has been consistent throughout numerous orders!m I have never actually been to the location as I order through DoorDash so unfortunately I can't comment about the restaurant itself.

I was really craving some Chinese and I saw the reviews and some pictures for New China located next to Las Trojas. So I ventured out like I normally do and called me in some General Tso Chicken with an egg roll. Some of the best General Tso chicken I have had especially here recently. The chicken was white meat not heavy on the breading, the sauce was Superb. I dipped my egg roll in it my rice in it like give me a tub of that. The fresh broccoli was a nice touch but not needed. The egg roll was fresh, the only complaint is I wish they used real fried rice instead of the generic yellow rice with the peas carrots and onion. I would like some soy and egg and you know the fried rice style. Next time I will get white rice. Overall they have amazing deals and on Sunday it's advertised to have a super cheap meal deal. Yes sign me up. I want to try the steamed vegetables and the "healthy" options soon, I will update when I do.

Well how do I to say this politically correct and politely. Customer service none and check your order before you go. I ordered meals combo with egg roll, and wings. The menu says wings 4 (honey). I asker owner to verify the number when I placed order on phone and she tried to be confusing, but acknowledged 4. Well I picked up my order and got three. When I questioned owner, she said three. I had her on my car phone and both my husband and heard 4. She doesn't give receipts and you never are sure when the meals come with egg rolls. You know, I'm tired of switch-a-roos and inconsistencies. If you like poor customer service, inconsistencies on food quality and menu changes, then this is your place. For me.... I'm done!

Does not know what chow mein is. Called me stupid. Took my money. I ordered chicken chow mein, using Uber Eats. When I got my order it was literally a bag of warm cabbage. I called to ask why I was sent this and to ask for a replacement, they insisted chicken chow mein was cooked cabbage. I asked them to please Google it then, after that happened they insulted me several times once even calling me stupid. I did not get my order fixed, I did not get my money back, and I was insulted. Do not eat here. Do. Not. Eat. Here. You will be disappointed and probably be left hungry, with no food, and with less money.

Consistently good chinese takeout, and that is unfortunately not very easy to come by in hsv. I discovered this place a couple years ago, after moving to the harvest area and I was, and still am, convinced they have the best general tso chicken of any Chinese takeout restaurant in the area. Now that I am vegan, my menu choices have changed, but the food is still very good. This day I visited during lunch hours, and there was pretty steady carry out traffic for a Sunday. The restaurant is set up like the typical Chinese takeout place, with a walk up counter where orders are placed and a decent amount of seating for waiting or dining in. The space is clean and the health rating is always in the 90s when I visit. Food is made to order, and is always hot and fresh when I receive it. I ordered the lunch special, mixed vegetables; which comes with fried rice and your choice of egg or spring roll, soup, or drink; totaling just over $6. They do charge an extra .25c for a side of sweet and sour sauce. The mixed vegetables are cooked in brown sauce, and the fried rice is vegan by standard since they don't fry in any meat or egg unless you request. The vegetables were plentiful and fresh, not overcooked or ill proportioned. The spring rolls were good as well, fried to have a nice crisp but not too greasy. Even as a vegan, this will continue to be my go to place for good takeout.

I'll go ahead and make this a simple and sweet review. I usually am on the run. Constantly even between the five jobs I have. And with that, I'm not at my house very often to cook meals. Thankfully I found this place along my way to work at have been back multiple times for a good reason. Good cheap food. Staff is always friendly and the inside of the building isn't that bad. Would definitely give it a try if you are in a rush for work or lunch.

First visit here. I decided to grab some takeout for dinner on this evening. With this being my first time here, I took a risk on selecting it as dinner choice. There aren't many (good) Chinese food establishments in the area. The restaraunt appeared to be clean and the drinking station was neatly organized. There were two other guests ahead of me but other than that the place was empty. A few others walked in and out for take-outs. I ordered the combination special, Mongolian Chicken & Beef and I ordered my boyfriend the Sesame Chicken. Both meals were served with an egg roll (I can't believe I didn't take pictures). We really enjoyed the food and we agreed that the quality and taste of the food definitely topped the other (very few) competitors in the area. Can't believe we didn't try this place sooner. Prices were reasonable (both meals under $8, not including tax) and the food portions was plentiful. There was so much food, we both had a good amount of leftovers for the next day. I will definitely visit again.

So.... I been in Huntsville for 7 months now and tried this place about 4 or 5 times. Food has been pretty good until today. My wife and I just wanted chicken noodle soup. We also wanted vegetables in it. The vegetables would be an extra charge. No problem for me I understood the charge. When I get home I didn't see any chicken in my soup. Neither container appeared to have chicken. When I called the New China assured me they put chicken it. I had to empty out the container to find the chicken from one container to pull out the chicken. I am not sure this is actually chicken. I've taken pictures of both containers so you can decide for yourself if this is what you would have expected. Charge me whatever... but at least give me what I am paying for...

Relatively nice hole-in-the-wall Chinese restaurant. Most of their business appeared to be take-out. However, they have several nice tables so we ate in. Food quality was very good, and they were fast. Restaurant was newer and cleaner than average. They have iced tea, but no hot tea! Table service was a bit lacking. However, since my wife and I were splitting a $3.99 Sunday lunch special, I can't complain!

Literally the only good Chinese food in hsv without driving halfway down Winchester rd. This place is always fast, always delicious, and to the complaints about the cleanliness, it's just a lady and her husband working in there, they can't clean during dinner rush.

I recommended this place to someone that I have never been there before and I met the person there.. they are new to the area... The girl that was upfront waiting on us was about as friendly as a rock in the bottom of the ocean... when I tried to be nice she just ignored me.. I got the honey chicken and the chicken was very very very over cooked and not tasty at all... I was quite embarrassed over the food being so bad and me recommending this place. I will no longer come to this location on the corner of MLK Boulevard and 53 and continue to go to the one in Hazel Green Alabama. The one in Hazel Green the people speak to you they smile they remember you... maybe y'all need to take a cue from Hazel Green China Cafe... you need to really step it up in there I was so disappointed... I don't post on reviews very often and I would've sent this privately but there was no way to send it privately... all that money spent for nothing.. food was nasty I took all the chicken off and ate as much of the rice as I could and the rice was not good.. I love Chinese in a Chinese quite often. I was told that this was vegetable fried rice and I can't at the peas maybe five it may be four pieces of carrot 98% rice. This place is so dirty! Before you order, walk around the wall and look at the table, chairs and floors. It's disgusting! Imagine what the kitchen looks like. I had already paid when I saw how dirty the restaurant was. I threw my food away.

Haven't been disappointed with them. Probably the best Chinese takeout I have had moving to Huntsville and have found in the area.

Food was ok but after waiting an hour for order to be prepared, it was not worth the cost or the time I spent waiting. I will be looking for a new Chinese take out restaurant.

Very Disappointed in the fried rice, it was nothing but yellow rice with a few peas and carrots. General Tso,s Chicken was more breading than chicken. My first time trying this place, sorry it was not what I had hoped it to be.

I haven't tasted anything I didn't like. Good egg rolls, sesame chicken, Mongolian beef and general tso's chicken. The Mongolian beef is a bit spicy so beware.

Nothing to brag about. Had to add 5 packets of soy sauce, a packet each of hot sauce & duck sauce to my house special fried rice just so it had Asian flavor.

I have eaten here 20-30 times and had almost everything on the menu. Overall, they have much better quality and choices than your average Chinese place. Very friendly hostess. Always consistent on every visit, prices are great and the portion sizes are phenomenal.

Best fast food Chinese around! Super service and plenty of food. I especially like how they remember me and my order, if I forgot something that I usually order they ask me if I would like to order it. The food is the freshest and best tasting of any take out around. Love this little place!

Very fast and friendly service! I ordered the vegetable fried rice quart at lunch time. Reasonable pricing. Just a few other patrons were there. I waited about 5-6 minutes and my order was complete. Nice crunchy not soggy vegetables and perfect fried rice. I did have to add a little soy sauce to kick up the flavor a bit but I will definitely be back to try out the rest of the menu.

I was dissapointed this time. I usually come here and the food is usually good. But the last couple of times I've been here. The food has not been all that great. The sesame chicken was dry. I came back again and orderes egg foo young and there was plastic throughout my food.

be very careful eating here this could be a nasty resturant with reusing old and returned food... had a doctor appt and the area i was the first customer. order two lunch dinners that came with hot and sour soup. when i went to eat it . it was so so slimmie that i just had to take it back for eggrolls. it was awful.. when i told the young lady i wanted a eggroll instead she.. said you can only get 1 because you taste the other one. i couln't say a word... i just looked at her as if she was out of her mind.. she then told me to throw it away. i never said a word but she did give me 2 new egg rolls. my issues with this resturant is..... was she going to take the soup back into the kitchen and re-enter it back with the rest of it. if i hadn't taste it.. the food isnt all that good but be careful eating there thats all i am saying.. with covid-19 they seem like they trying save money and not lives.....

It is what it is, your generic Chinese restaurant. I do find that their food is very good between the sesame and general two chicken, and it comes at a great price for 4.95 on the lunch special. I only find it puzzling that if you call in, they don't get your name/number contact info so that when you pick up you can confirm that it's your order. Other than that, good food, good price, I recommend it.

Got food poisoning from my last take-out. The chicken didn't taste quite right, should've known better!

i had passed this buffet up many times for meteor buffet and buffet 88, i was in the area this day and decided to give it a try, it was around noon so by no means was it off the rush hour. being a bit adventurous, i decided to try a little bit of everything on the bars provided. some items were wonderful, the cajun chicken was well cooked, and the chicken still retained a nice texture and moisture, along with being very flavorful as well, their hot and sour was also a nice taste as well, the roast pork was pretty good as well thinking back. other items were old and barely within the warm temperature range, such as the fried dumplings and the cheese wontons, though, one could argue that these still tasted pretty good, and would have been much better fresh. then, there was long list of meh items, items that had a rather dry and tough texture, like some of the chicken dishes, which were again plagued by the below normal bar temperatures while on top of that having a weak taste, the eggrolls were a good example of this, lacking anything in their filling besides heaps of cabbage really, no ground pork or rice noodles, or really anything aside from cabbage. then, we get to the bad. and heres where i tend to be a bit picky, i have always been able to taste fishy and spoiled meat flavors better than most people, and the latter is relevant here. their pork dim sum had been out for a long time, and normally i love dim sum, these dim sum, however, were cold, and the pork tasted like it was somewhat spoiled, a taste that they were most definitely trying to cover up with extra soy sauce in the meat mix, now, the spoiled taste wasnt bad enough to put me off the meal, so i simply left what was left of the dim sum, and continued on. it wasn't until the end of my meal that i encountered something absolutely foul. i had some of their hibachi chicken, and took a bite, the rotten chicken taste was strong and made me gag several times after i had spit it out into a napkin. i told the staff immediately that the dish had spoiled meat in it, he proceeded to grab a piece and eat it, and tell me it was perfectly fine. maybe it was, and maybe he was lying, either way, i will not be partaking of this restaurant again after the god awful taste of that hibachi chicken.

Purchased the Sesame Chicken for lunch for $5.08. I tried phoning in my order, but no one answered the phone. Serving size was much smaller than many other restaurants. Although it tasted good, I will not be back again.
