Absolutely fantastic place offering up all the Chinese-American delights one could ask for. Prices are incredibly reasonable, being some of the cheapest fare in the area. The quality does not skimp though, as this is rock-solid food that was a treat to eat. The staff are also very courteous and kind. I was making excuses to come back the moment we paid the bill. Very highly recommended

I knew this place was going to be good because they have been around a long time ... How did I know? Because the sign on the awning doesn't have an area code... With being said I was definitely right! It was a quick dinner stop for me so I didn't get to explore the menu but I got an egg roll and pot stickers... My usual Chinese restaurant staples that help me determine how their other flavors will me. The flavors of the egg roll were some of the best I've had in a long time. They didn't have that weird aftertaste or that weird peanut flavor, it was just classic and delicious. The pot stickers were definitely homemade and not frozen and reheated! Absolutely amazing!

This is the only Chinese restaurant we will eat at in our area. Lunch specials are always the best! The egg drop soup brings me back to my early childhood memories of going out to lunch with my grandmother. So delicious and highly recommended.

Found this through Google maps. The service was quick, the place is nicely decorated. The pad Thai was too dry but the other dish was delicious. Approximately 20 USD per person.

This Chinese food was outstanding. Wish this was back where we live, we eat Chinese food at least once a week - and we can't find anything close to what we had tonight. I had Shrimp Lo Mein, wife had Mongolian Beef. Everything looked and tasted really fresh. The shrimp were huge and there were a lot. Our server was all over everything and it was a great experience. Wish we had this in Indiana. Kudos to the owner, chef and server!

We stopped in here for a quick lunch. They have lunch specials that are 10.25 that come with soup, an eggroll and the plate. The general tsao's with extra spice added was delicious. The spice level wasn't as high as I thought it might be but it was balanced. It's a great lunch spot none the less and seems to be pretty popular for carry out too.

My family wanted Chinese so ended up getting 8 different dinners, egg rolls, crab rangoons and fried wontons. They all loved every single thing. Thank you China Pearl! Oh! And I bought a x-large fried rice, WAY to big but the kids were happy to bring left overs home

Pretty good American-Chinese. My MIL frequents this place and recommended it during our visit. Our order was made quickly and accurately and the person my husband ordered from on the phone was nice. The General Tso's Chicken was not at all spicy. My 5 yo really enjoyed the Cashew Chicken.

I'm going to start with the good, the lady was really nice to me when I came to pick up so the service wasn't bad and the eggrolls tasted good tasted very homemade,now the bad the chow fun lacked a lot of sodium and spice but was really greasy honestly everything was greasy and it was all bland and that's a horrible combo. The crab ragoons were burnt and had very little fillling and the sesame chicken tasted like a school lunch. The lady was nice but didn't tell me when I was ordering that I was charged for the largest size of everything I thought I'd have to specify for a large but no charged for all the large portions, it was Christmas which is why I felt bad not buying the food but I feel that is poor form in customer service up charging a larger size. It's not worth it. Very average higher priced Chinese food

The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable. The food is amazing, it's never sub-par. The Mongolian beef is the bomb, my go to. The beef fried rice is the best around. Definitely start out with some appetizers, like the egg rolls and/or crab rangoons. The service is always quick and they're always courteous. Enjoy!

Horrible food! The chicken was mushy and the rice did not seem freshly made at all! Quality was like it was microwaved in a bag and served to me.

A better than it looks place for Americanized Chinese. It may not be that impressive but it's the best place to eat this in Wood Dale and the big portions help a lot. New China Pearl is another of these small places where most people get takeout. However it has quite a few tables inside. The prices are pretty good mostly. Came with the cute girl for lunch and decided to go in and eat. It wasn't busy inside. They were doing pretty good business for takeout. A few customers got it while we ate. There were a couple others who ate inside. I had the Kung Pao Tofu in the large size because that's the only size they got here. It's $11.50 for a lot. This has a good amount of tofu and vegetables. It's not all that spicy but the sauce has real good flavor. The vegetables were pretty much okay. She had some mixed vegetables and rice entree. We thought mine was better and I let here have some. Good portions for mostly cheap. It has a pretty decent sized dining area if you're eating inside. The majority though get takeout.

Food and service is consistently good. No regrets. Salt and pepper chicken is excellent

The Chinese shop suey and other dishes don't have water chestnuts! First time I asked about 6 months ago she said they were out of them Went back 6 months later and still no water chestnuts ! Never had Chinese food with NO chestnuts ! I find it unacceptable. Very few pea pods and too many mushrooms. never really had huge mushrooms in chop suey. fried rice was good! chop suey was bland and recipe not as good. chicken sparse also. was dissapointed !

Alright so i order from here a lot but what the ****. my son and I are sick right now , so i decided to order some comfort food for us for delivery. Yeah NOPE. The chicken and broccoli had bugs in it . So many bugs. I called them immediately after realizing and the best they wanted to do was offer credit for another lunch... ya no.. I called back to ask for my money to be dropped off at their convenience since my son and i were still hungry and I needed the cash. She told me the driver was leaving and that I needed to come get the money myself... I told her the whole reason i ordered for delivery was because i dont have a vehicle. She didnt care and that was the end of it. Im writing this now because as someome that frequently comes here for chinese , im so disappointed and grossed out. They need to check their food before they serve it. Thats unacceptable.

I ordered the wonton noodle soup a few days ago wasn't feeling well and I had a delivered and when the soup got to the house, there was probably an ounce of broth and not much soup. I called and told him about it and the lady got real upset and said that's the way the shoe goes should I should I am there's no brought it is packed with noodles. I need a soup and she just kept getting more angry anymore angry very bad service and very bad attitude.

Beef Chopsuey and Beef Eggfoo Young are very very very delicious and the portions are very big so you can take them home and enjoy them even morel Also the Crab Rangoon and Egg Drop Soup are delicious too this one of my favorite places to get the best Chinese food and I love love love Chinese food it makes me so happy when I eat it!!! Can't forget the Fortune Cookies and Almond Cookies yum yum yum all of their top quality food and other dishes I've had there were delicious too! I've been eating top quality Chinese food 50 years. My favorite place was Jade Dragon but there are no longer there also Rose's Chinese, Hoy's Chinese and the original Lou's Oriental. I'm always happy to bring food home for my parents, sister, husband and my son and sometimes my sisters family and of course my favorite grandparents!!!

Place has been remodeled but I feel like cuisine was tastier before.Owner is trying hard to make it work.

Been going here for years, usually take out and the delivery is always quick and food hot, the owners are very nice and if you have any issue they make it right

I love the egg rolls. That is my test for a good Chinese restaurant. I always do take-out or sometimes delivery, but mostly pick-up. I'll be out shopping and call in my order and 15 minutes later I can pick it up. I usually get pork fried rice, or bbq pork lo mein. I had never tried lo mein before and now I'm hooked. I also like the chicken chop suey, but prefer not to have the little corn cobs. Been awhile since I had it. My sister liked the egg fu yung and bbq pork. So glad to have a good Chinese place close to home.

1st time ordering and eating from this place. LAST TIME TOO! Ordered 2 meals about 530pm. Online menu clearly states after 3pm meals come with Chicken Fried Rice. I started to order via only but called in and as I turned to leave, I asked about the Fried Rice. Lady taking call in orders and payments told me all meals come with steamed rice. I told her AND showed her that is not what the online order menu states. Then she back tracked and stated she gave me the lunch special, but I argued that the pricing didnt reflect lunch plus lunch stops at 3pm , I called after 5pm why would you think I wanted lunch. Got home, daughter thought food tasted awful, the chicken was so burnt she couldn't even bite into it after dipping into the sauce. Had to throw everything away, $32 later and ordered Lil Ceasars, UGH!

There is NO BETTER place to go for amazing Chinese food. The owners John & Sharon have taken this pearl and made it a palace. Their combo dinners for 2,3,4, or 5 are beyond affordable....but the magic for this pearl is the quality of their food. The soups are loaded with flavor and vegetables.....while the home cooking on the menu just gets better and better every time. Highly recommend their BBQ pork dishes and all of the specials! Their dishes are authentic and the hospitality remains second to none....They will also make ANYTHING....one orders in case of special tastes or even medical restrictions.....Get to Wood Dale and find the Pearl. No need to go anywhere else!

I know there's plenty of Chinese restaurants around but this places captures my heart with their General Tao's Chicken. I love the crispy textured chicken and sweet and spicy flavors. Plus, their generous servings for the price make this a no-brainer. I highly recommend this place. It's a hidden gem in Wood Dale.

I don't normally leave reviews but I just had to on this place. They deliver and when we got our food it was piping hot. The quality of their food is the best in area and I've tried them all. Love their beef fried rice, bbq pork, Mongolian beef is just the right amount of spicy. No one else makes it spicy. Keep up the great job. Nancy S,EGV

This place never disappoints! In house dining at lunch is great. You get a generous portion on their lunch menu for $6.75. Comes with soup. And the food is very tasty.

I usually order lunch every couple of weeks, but the fried rice smells and tastes burnt last 2 times. Only half the meal is eatable. Disappointed that quality dropped. Not going back in a while.

So I ordered lunch based on the reviews that I saw. I did not have a menu to go off of so I ordered what most Chinese restaurants have...the Mongolian beef. I asked what came with it and was told chicken fried rice. I thought no problem. It will be ready in 10-15 min. I get back to my office and open it up. I have an abundance of white rice with a small portion of Mongolian beef. The dish itself was not bad, but the quantity was lacking. On top of that there was more white rice under the beef almost to make it look like there was more beef than there actually was. What am I supposed to do with so much white rice? The eggroll was the usual, a whole cabbage stuffed into a little roll and just ok. I did not see or taste any meat or shrimp in it. Just cabbage. Nothing to write home about. I would think since this place has been in business for a while, it would be better. Then again this is Wood Dale, so I shouldn't set my expectations too high.

I need to update my review based upon our last order. We ordered Chicken and Pea Pods, Chicken and Mushrooms, BBQ Pork Fried Rice and 2 egg rolls. Both chicken dishes lacked seasoning and didnt have much flavor at all. The Chicken and Mushrooms had literally just chicken and mushrooms, that's it. The worst thing about both of these dishes was the "gloppy" sauce that they were in. We had some leftovers that we stored in the refrigerator. The next day, the sauces had congealed into a gelatin like texture. I thought that was odd but thought it would liquefy in the microwave. After 3 minutes in the microwave it was still like gelatin. I ate the pieces of leftover chicken and threw the rest out. The BBQ fried rice was dry and had tiny bits of pork. The egg rolls were OK. I'm sad that the quality has declined at New China Pearl. I like supporting local businesses.

Here is the situation. You know the old saying, buyer beware. Don't dine at this location. They will give you the bottom of the barrel in ingredients. The food is overcooked. The service is terrible. They want to be a takeout place only. Make it that way people or your stomach will feel like a brick later.

We ordered here for an employee lunch and the food was fantastic. The team really enjoyed it. A great ordering experience with the owners who even called the morning of our event to check in.

I just moved here. Last time I wanted Chinese We ordered from Rose's Chinese Restaurant. This time we ordered from here. Just when you think it can't get any worse.... crab rangoon, pot stickers, yang chow fried rice, general tso chicken. All were tasteless and bland. It was like they didn't season anything.

Best luncheon special around, both as far as taste and price. General Tso Chicken, egg rolls and egg drop soup are best I've had.

The food was of your standard variety but very very tasty, I will be enjoying leftovers for dinner later. The delivery was a little early, which is great. They provided all the usual condiments and utensils one would need. There's not much to add or ask for more.

Three years we've lived here, we're about to move, it's high time I tried the local Chinese joint. There aren't many choices in Wood Dale; it's pretty much this and the China Buffet in Georgetown Square. I grabbed some takeout on my way home on a rainy day and went with my standards, wonton soup and chicken lo mein. This place is in a grungy 60s-era strip mall that has not been updated. So please note that there is no real atmosphere and it's kinda dumpy. In August they still had their Christmas decorations up ... or maybe it was a head start, what do I know? My order was taken promptly and was ready quickly. And I got a huge amount of food, hey, leftovers! The wonton soup was piping hot and packed with veggies, shreds of pork and three giant wonton. Mmmm. Hits the spot on a rainy day, even in summer. The lo mein was light and flavorful (and I got at least 3-4 servings worth) ... the noodles were more of the super-skinny kind I associate with Americanized ramen, as opposed to the thicker spaghetti-style. I requested no mushrooms and spotted none; it had a decent amount of bamboo, sprouts, cabbage, pea pods, celery and more plus of course chicken, lightly seasoned and not drowning in brown sauce. All things considered, I'm kinda sorry I didn't check this place out sooner. Despite the not-so-fancy interior they clearly know what they're doing in the kitchen... PS They request $10 minimum for credit cards.

I purchase 2 large order of fried rice and when I got to the park and open my bag I had no forks, napkins and no red sauce . Rice is super good that is why we buy it but they need to think what their customers are going to eat with and that also charge for the spicy sauce. When we use to dine in they give you soy sauce and red sauce for free. Don't know why they charge it it should be given free but they say that is additional charge. It doesn't make sense.

I normally go to a Chinese restaurant in Bensenville called Hoys. I love that place the staff is friendly and the food is really delicious! I decided to give this place a try since the last time I had it was back in 2006. The orange chicken taste awful. It taste like chicken covered in mcdonalds BBQ sauce and the fried rice taste like old stale white rice. If I could give this place a -5 rating I would. DO NOT ORDER OR GO TO THIS RESTAURANT UNLESS YOU ARE DESPERATE AND STARVING! I recommend "Hoys" in Bensenville on Irving park rd

The delivery was in time. The food portions are huge for what the price is. So good quantity for the buck. The quality on the other hand is average. The chow fun was a bit dry and the pepper beef was overflowing with sauce. Both were requested to be spicy yet there was not even a kick. I'd order from here again if I'm not looking for any crazy or special. Plus they have a huge menu.

This is the "regular" take out Chinese joint for me. The order is ready in 15 Min's and I don't spend a whole bunch of money for it. This is probably not the best, but for the price, quality, and location it works for me. You always get a couple egg rolls free with your order over 15.00 dollars. Its a small place and I always take out.

Just good, standard Chinese food, but dirt cheap. I think their lunch specials run in the $5-7 range, and include a good portion of food, fried rice, and what I consider to be a darn good egg roll - not all cabbage. The hunan beef is tasty, pot stickers are good (worth a little extra) and their hot and sour soup is also good. Good place to go if you're working in the area for a quick lunch. I've never been for dinner.

This used to be the best Chinese food in the area...however, something recently has changed...The last 2 orders I have had, have been different. Not only the taste but the texture of the meat is different. New owners? Or just cheaper cuts of meat & new recipes? My son was first to notice & I thought at first he was just being picky as usual until yesterday. The Mongolian Beef was terrible! Didnt even taste like Mongolian Beef! On the hunt for a new Chinese place....Too bad Yu's is so far!

I would never order from here again, terrible. The Hot & Sour soup was a water bowl loaded with all the wrong vegtables. Not hot or sour, bland. The Generals Chicken was NOT a normal Generals Chicken, i think they took an Orange Chicken & tried to add hot peppers. Avoid this place if you can, I will

When I first moved to town, I stopped in for a menu. A man was leaving with his bag of take-out and his unsolicited advice was "best Chinese food around!" He was right! The Mongolian beef is my favorite, no place else has been able to top it. Lo mein is greasy but in a delicious sort of way. Tasty crab rangoon with plenty of filling. Pineapple chicken is just fried sweet and sour chicken with a side of the red sauce, warmed with chunks of pineapple in it. Sounds weird, but my gosh is it good. Best egg rolls I've ever had, not too much cabbage and very crispy. Faint peanut butter aftertaste (I hear many places use PB to seal the wrappers) is actually very pleasant. Reheat pretty well, too. They've never screwed up my order, are great about adding or holding certain ingredients in their dishes, and there's always plenty of food for your money. The only reason I deducted a star is that their delivery guy couldn't figure out how to get to our condo, so we've always had to pick up. Maybe they have GPS now...should I try again?

When i first moved to wood dale back in 2011 i loved this place. The food was great and honestly tasted better then i imagined. feasible pricing and timely delivery. Now as of about 4 months ago they put a new guy on phones and honestly i cant understand a word he saids, he seems confused and at times just drifts off in a rant i cant follow. Plus the delivery time went from about 20-30 minutes to an hour and twice about an hour and 20 minutes. when i called to find out where the order was i spoke to mumbles and every time he said "ya hes on the way".......im 5 blocks away. All that aside i still give them 4 stars because their food is great and to avoid all the hassle i simply pick up or dine in now and laugh listening to mumbles repeat himself on the phone to other victims

Unfriendly service but updated restaurant. Food is fair. Meat is questionable. Beef is tough and grisly. I would no longer recommend this restaurant.

I would recommend their Vegetable egg-foo yung along shrimp fried rice (spicy if you like it hot). The egg foo yung is solid with two large patties in the small order. Note: the large order comes with four, and has WAY more brown sauce. Shrimp fried rice is loaded with shrimp. If you're getting takeout keep in mind most of the shrimp will be at the top of the carton. I have yet to try anything else at China Pearl because I'm such big fan of the above.

was very unhappy with food. must be new owners! egg drop soup was horrible,egg roll was one big mush,the sweet sour sauce was diluted with water. I had ordered beef chop suey. it was so salty I could'nt eat it. I was brought a new dinner when ready to leave, because I barely touched my food! not only that the beef was fatty and mushy!!!! STAY AWAY!!!!!

My wife was in the mood for Chinese food so based on Yelp reviews we thought we would give this place a try. Short Review: Food was "OK", but value was high. Longer Review: I had the Mongolian Beef/Shrimp/Chicken mixture, and it was great. Spicy and lots of Beef/Shrimp/Chicken alongside the veggies. On the side I had the potstickers (good) and Crab Rangoon (mediocre). The latter felt too processed with not enough crab. My wife had the Orange Chicken (a bit dry but otherwise good, the chicken itself was high quality breast meat) and the Sweet & Sour Chicken (really good). The latter was quite sweet. We also had Chicken Fried Rice (a touch dry but otherwise good) and steamed rice (OK). The best part of the meal was the overall value. The Crab Rangoon was free and the total bill was $40 even. We got enough food for three meals for the both of us. That's pretty awesome. Also, the service on pickup was good. Only about 15 minutes from when I ordered until it was ready.

I've been eating here for the past 10yrs and the past few months the quality of the food has gone down. Don't know if they have changed cooks but I ordered to go and the rice tasted burnt, sticky and it was warm not hot. Most of all my whole order had no flavor at all. This is the 3rd time I have ordered and have not been pleased. Time to find another location very sad and disappointed.

Ordered pork over noodle soup. I got a scant tablespoon of hard pork bits of meat, mostly fat, over a full quart of thin spaghetti noodles with less than 7 ounces of broth. It was so disgustingly salty, the meat tasted rancid, I almost threw up at first taste.

Finest chinese food around! I didn't expect much because they are so cheap, but now I end up ordering random stuff from the menu, they never disappointed me, quality and tasty as always. They have awsome general chicken and mongolian beef!

Solid old-fashioned Chinese restaurant serving up really good food. We drive twelve miles for dinner here and it's always super tasty and reminiscent of some neighborhood places that disappeared a long time ago. Great prices, great service, no complaints.

I don't know why all these people are claiming this is awesome. If it's the "best in Wood Dale," that must mean Wood Dale doesn't have much to offer for Chinese food. Their lo mein is stringy, dry and tasteless. The orange chicken, again, very bland. And their fried rice is either overcooked or was sitting out for a while. And $14 for food, tax and delivery for one person is a bit outrageous for the terrible quality if you ask me.
