New Dragon City Chinese Restaurant

Ok, a quick, sad vent. We have been ordering Uber Eats from New Dragon City in Cambridge for a few years. Food is good. Last night they attached a receipt to our order with their internal pricing and it was 40% less than what we had been paying. I called and chatted with the owner to understand why. I, a restaurant owner, understand the 20-25% that Uber charges and am happy to pay that add on. It is meant to be offset by the added sales - just like anything the markets your business. The owner said that they do not care about the Uber Eats customers - they can just order direct- and that they lose money being on Uber Eats. I said that maybe they should think about the customers they may lose because of the price gauge - charging not 25% more but 40 % more. It was like talking to a brick wall.... hard to understand why a business embraces a delivery/marketing service to increase their sales but then does not care about the satisfaction of the new customers. The conversation left me realizing that she is not concerned about customers experience at all....

I had 2 lunch menu sweet and sour pork, general tao chiccken+pop and egg roll. Sweet and sour pork was fresh but batter was not my style. But crispy enough. General tao chicken was really good. I really liked it. Def I will go again for this. Egg roll was a bit smelly due to bin sprout. Portion was great as well.

We have ordered from here a few times. The food has been decent quality usually. We have found that some dishes are a waste because they're just filler veggies and about 2-5 small pieces of meat. Tonight it was a letdown. The kung pao chicken was all veggies and you had to search to find the chicken. The chicken chop suey was very very watery. It was difficult to open without spilling it. The egg rolls were good and the sweet & sour chicken was delicious as always. We will have to be very selective with what we order next time, if we order again from here.

I was parked in the common parking area standing near my car when i was aggressively honked at. Turns out in a partially empty lot. I must move for some one employed by this restaurant who has decided this is his spot. I moved, he parked, he said nothing not even a thanks. Nothing so here we are. Rude, so whats the service like, he's probably the boss. Im telling everyone about it. Why cause nice goes further then rude or entitled.

Sweet and sour spare ribs were the worst. Stringy and tough and very little meat and they were a bizarre grey colour. Egg rolls were delicious! Beef and broccoli might as well have been called beef with random vegetables. More vegetables than meat and only 4 pieces of actual broccoli.

I don’t like to complain or leave negative reviews but I feel like people should know how things taste before they order food from a new place. So here is my honest review. We got 2 combo plates that were below average, standard Chinese food. The food was very greasy, which is usually pretty normal for Chinese food like this, but this seemed extra greasy. I’m actually surprised I even noticed this though, considering the pool of sauce it was swimming in. My rice was soaked in it Some people like extra sauce and that’s fine, but I personally prefer my rice not to be soupy. I could have asked for it on the side, but then I would have had to pay. Also just a heads up to anyone with food dye sensitivity - the sweet and sour sauce left red stains on everything it touched, including my skin. The other dishes might be good, but I wouldn’t recommend ordering the combo plates.

It’s been a while since I ordered from here. Paid $14 for this little bit of food? 90% rice…can go to the mall to FamousWok or California Thai and get double the food for the same cost…. I remember when you would get a big 3 section platter container and get your moneys worth. I wonder if they greatly reduced what you get from family meals too….won’t be finding out

Amazing Chinese Dining Experience! Visited New Dragon City Chinese Restaurant with friends and was blown away! The menu is diverse, and every dish tasted authentic—especially the vegetarian-friendly options (even my picky vegetarian friend loved it!). 🥡 Service was warm and attentive, with staff recommending their best dishes. Prices are super reasonable—around $15 per person for a fulfilling meal! Conveniently located in Westgate Centre with plenty of parking. Will definitely return! A must-try for anyone craving delicious Chinese food!

So, The food is well cooked and tastes great. However I feel they could have made portions of ingredients fit together better, An example is I got the C6 Combo meal, and the Beef with Diced Veggies had about 65% Onions, which kind of ruined the taste somewhat! The Chicken balls are amazing though, Not those HUGE Balls of dough with a little meat, these are nice bite sized pieces and full of nicely cooked chicken! I really enjoyed them! The rice is very nicely cooked and full of flavor! I would recommend to anyone in the mood for a well cooked dinner! Cheers - EDIT - I forgot to add! The packaging for deliveries is by far the best I have ever seen! So much better than the normal tin with paper lids! ty

I hear everyone raves about Dragon CIty, so we decided to try it. Wasn't impressed, they did give you alot of food, and it was much cheaper than other places. Sweet & Sour chicken was disappointing...as was everything else...it was just okay food. Tho I did really enjoy the lemon chicken, I just ate alot of that

The food at Dragon City is delicious. It is good Chinese food, and probably the best I've had in Cambridge. Unfortunately, value is low. A lunch combo is reasonably priced, but if you put together a half decent varied order for a family, you're looking at more money than a proper sit down restaurant including drinks. Their egg and spring rolls are both excellent. Most of their rice/chop suey/vegetable dishes, if they come with some sort of meat, they're incredibly stingy on the meat. My wife ordered curry beef in her last order, and there were 2 pieces of beef in the dish. The rest of it was vegetables. Taste is very good, value is not.

If you are looking for fast, fresh, cheap and tasty Canadian-Chinese food, Dragon City is your spot. My parents drive from out of town just to go to this busy take out place. I have been going since high school since it is a short walk and one of the only places to eat close by.

The best place for Chinese food fast, friendly service the food is amazing I recommend the crab cheese wontons. Their delivery is fast as well.

The good news about this place is their wide variety of dishes, favourites include BBQ spare ribs (long meaty ribs with fabulous sauce), s&s wonton, pork fried rice, beef with pea pods. It's missing a sit down restaurant.

This is the only place to get Chinese food in Cambridge. Don't eat in (there is room), as it's too busy! The best!

Dragon City is part of my Sunday ritual. I love me a nice C9 or C17! Best Chinese food around -- for sure!
