We used the large outside patio for our San Diego Chrono groups last night. We happen to be right next to the band and dancing. The waiters and staff were excellent. The food they set up for us to try was really tasty with Fish & really nice sized potato fries in homemade ketchup. We also had a few children in our group and they loved eating outside. I hope we can come back soon and use this restaurant again for our SD-Chrono group!

Went to a crochet/knitting group event and it was a great experience. Had very tasty non alcoholic beer/Radler. The beer was really good and no buzz, I will go there again! Also, super clean bathrooms, when you don't buzz you realize it even more and appreciate it.

Google
Came here for a networking group, plenty of room for our group and the regular customers. They had a decent selection of beers. The beer tanks were impressive and lit up nicely at night. A food truck was available onsite. They had a nice patio outside and the fireplace was going strong. A great place for a group or just to come and chill out and order a couple of drinks.

After a 7 mile hike around Torrey Pines State Reserve this was a welcome stop! With the Craft food truck out front all you had to do was order something to give you a receipt that allows you and your group to order better! JUST ONE TICKET for the small group of 4. The food was great and so was the beer. among the 4 of us we tried 4 different beers and we were stoked. The outdoor setting was very inviting and felt covid safe. Just go! UPDATE lots of beers to choose from. Craft food truck with yummy food. Craft is opening across the parking lot with a bricks and mortar location! Soon! UPDATE- Dani and staff hosted our Surfrider Foundation Open House with our guest speaker Lillie Mulligan of Wild Coast talking about Marine Protected Areas, MPAs. A big crowd of ocean activists enjoyed the venue and meeting tremendously! Thank you !

Great ambiance! Great beers! Good for big groups. Saw lots of families with babies so very kid friendly.

Google
I was getting discouraged trying to find a venue that fit my needs and budget in San Diego...places either cost too much, had too many restrictions, didn't allow you to bring your own food, etc. And then I found the Barrel Room at New English! I started messaging questions to Nina and from there I was sold. Nina answered SO many questions and emails from me over my 10 months of planning and met me at the Barrel room a few times to let me look around and plan as I went. She was so tremendously helpful. The night of our wedding reception, she and her husband Simon were our bartenders and they were fantastic. This space is so unique and awesome for a party. It is beautiful, easy to decorate, has great clean bathrooms, a perfect dance floor, a bar with wonderful beer of course, and lots of furniture they will let you use! I only had to rent a couple of tables and some chairs which trimmed down my cost by a lot. Everyone had such a great time at our reception! We got a taco cart which was set up right in front of the brewery (also saving us room). We also set a photo booth up right in front. Tons of room to dance. Easy to decorate! It was a fantastic experience booking this venue for our wedding reception.

Walking into the brewery, you're immediately greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it the perfect spot to chill with friends or family. Especially now that summer is right around the corner, their spacious layout, complete with games and a cozy patio, provides the ideal setting to unwind. Plus, the staff is super friendly and knowledgeable, always on hand to guide you through their impressive lineup and help you discover your new favorite brew. If you're like me and somehow haven't made it to New English Brewery yet, do yourself a favor and make it happen. You won't regret it!

3rd stop in the North Park to Escondido with the homies trip was New English Brewing. Lots of different beers to taste, thos spot is roomy with a great ambiance. So far, all their beers laced their glass, all tasting great. If you're in the area, come pay them a visit.

Yelp
We had a large party meet up on a Friday evening happy hour with our kids. There was about 30 of us in total. There is ample parking out front and more parking in the back. This place is in the middle of businesses so it does get busy with local patrons. We lucked out and came before it go too busy to secure a nice area in the patio lawn. There is both indoor and outdoor space and a nice grassy area for kids to run around. It's semi enclosed, but you do have to keep an eye on our kids since there are ways to run out to the parking lots with speeding cars. Lots of beer choices and there were also seltzers and sours available. You are able to taste them before committing to a glass. There are also different sizes as well. Friendly service and quick to serve and suggest. This is a great family friendly (and pet friendly) brewery. We enjoyed how chill it was esp on a warm evening out. Definitely recommend this place and will be back!

Yelp
Did not even know this development or place was here. Stopped by the Craft Taco Store for pick up, and wanted to take out some beer to go. They don't sell to go... But then I looked at the next business across the lawn, and it was a brewery! They have a lot of beers on tap here, a beautiful outdoor beer garden, and an indoor area to sit. Since I wanted to get beer to go, I was limited to the cans. The nice guy at the bar let me have a sip of the brown ale from the tap, and it was so delicious I bought a four pack. $12 for a fabulous brown ale, aged in whiskey barrels and with a hint of vanilla. They also had European style beers like a Belgian blonde, and a peach sour. I will definitely be back for tasting here!

Yelp
I've heard so much about this place that I can't believe I have not come before! New English Brewery truly lives up to its reputation with a diverse selection of brews that cater to every taste bud. Especially now that summer is right around the corner, their spacious layout, complete with games and a cozy patio, provides the ideal setting to unwind. Yelp
The space is excellent. Lots of room outside and inside. It was perfect for us since we have two kids. We camped out on the couches inside and our kids were able to play with their toys while we ordered brews and food. Food is ordered from local place nearby. Rees were great and I ordered 7 different tasters. By favorite was their barrel aged brown ale and brewers special brown ale.

Yelp
*This review is for the bathroom only* Excellent women's facilities! Everything you could ask for in a bathroom. Easily located inside, clear signage. Inside, three stalls, VERY NICE AND THICK toilet paper, seat covers in the stall. After you do your business, two sinks, including soap, and a single sink faucet to control the water - no double faucets! Clean, crisp, and comfortable. Would use again!

Yelp
Now it's been quite a while since I have been to New English Brewing. So long ago that outdoor patio didn't exist as well as the addition inside of New English Brewing. New English Brewing beers are always spot on with some of favorites being the brown ale as well as the pure and simple ipa. The outdoor patio was the main attraction with various groups as well as kids parties to be had on the lawn. It's a great place to enjoy a pint when the weather is nice and sunny.

Yelp
We were looking forward to visiting this place, since we love English beers and have a soft spot for anything English. This is not. None of the tasters were bad, but nothing was good, either. Best one was Belgian blonde, the blueberry blonde started off nice, and once it opened up, it tasted all extract. Cute barrel room set up though.

Yelp
Came here around 4:30pm during the weekday and it was packed. It looked like a company party was happening here and had their own catered food. Pros: -large indoor and outdoor space -there are interactive activities like shuffleboard and giant jenga outside -pet friendly. There were lots of dogs when we arrived -outdoor fireplaces -free parking in a shared business-park type of area -staff were friendly and came around frequently to pick up empty glasses Cons: -no food options (besides packaged chips). There were no food trucks when we arrived. You could order tacos or pizza from other businesses and have it delivered but you do have to pay delivery/service fees - limited non alcoholic beverages

Yelp
I loved this place even before i visited for the first time. I was in Del Mar at a wonderful Italian restaurant when I looked online Yelp for beer places. Finding one that I love isn't as easy as it sounds. A "Doug" beer isn't hoppy, it usually has an alcohol content between 9,2% and 14.4% often has the term "barrel aged", quad, triple or strong in the description. Give me a great Belgium beer or a Barley Wine and I'm happy. After seeing a lot of acceptable beers on the menu photos on Yelp I called to confirm they had some that I would enjoy on tap. They did. It is a big space and a lively space. The bartender that served me was very new and was completely awesome. Offered me tastes before I committed. And the beer was great! Looking forward to going back on my next visit.

Yelp
Have been meaning to drop by here forever and now wondering why it took me so long! Beers are all super tasty and it's a great place to chill. Both the Humbly Legit and Pure & Simple are true to form west coast IPAs. Both are super crispy and delightfully hoppy, can't go wrong with either. My wife has more of a malty palate and the Brewers Special Brown Ale and Explorer ESB did not disappoint. Both reminded me of proper British beers. Plenty more beers to explore on future visits. Beer on its own was worth 5 stars. Add another 5 for the fact that you can order from Craft Taco next door and suddenly you have the recipe for one of the best lunches in San Diego. It's in a business park in Sorrento Valley with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Outside has four tops, picnic tables, and interesting little seating nooks with more casual seating and no table. They are family and dog friendly as there were plenty of each on our recent visit. Pretty chill at lunchtime on a Sunday right after their 1:00 opening time but I bet it's a bit busy on a Friday after work.

Yelp
First time here and first impressions were: - A little hard to find (located at the back of an office park-like area and small sign) - Love the large outdoor area with seating, astroturf area and shuffleboard - Large and comfy indoor area with couches They do not do beer flights here so instead I got four 5-ounce pours and must say their Belgian one is delicious and my favorite. Service was quick even with a long line and I like the food options of tacos or pizza which were delivered from restaurants close by. It wasn't until later when it got to what I assume was peak business that I realized this is a hot spot for people with kids. It seemed like kids outnumbered the adults and everyone had the same idea of bringing picnic blankets. There was also other areas for those without kids, like the shuffleboard area and indoor section. Overall I liked this place and would consider returning.

Yelp
Cool ambiance, nice they have food for delivery, would be better if there were more food options. Great beer and awesome patio to enjoy some fresh air in the middle of the strip malls. Industrial and random - got to check it out!
google avatar

Jason W.

Yelp
Large and appealing brewery. Lots of tasty brews on tap for all tastes. Yes it's hidden in an office park but has both an appealing outdoor space and an indoor bar and tasting room. Only thing they are missing is food, but they encourage delivery orders from the nearby restaurants. This is a great place for a group gathering!

Yelp
Came here to do my homework. Great place to do some work on your laptop and drink beer. Came here on a Sunday afternoon. Perfect time for the place to be chill and do some work while getting a little buzzy bee

Yelp
Really solid brewery in Sorrento Valley. Tucked amidst an office park and not too far from the train station. Have been here multiple times for professional and personal events. Good line up of beers - their west coast IPA and stout were delicious. They've also got soda and iced tea as non-alcoholic options. Plus chips to munch on. Service is friendly and attentive. Chill vibes inside with spacious tables and stools. Great outdoor sitting area too.
google avatar

Mary T.

Yelp
Great beer selection and ambiance to match. Tons of seating indoor and outdoor. Totally family and dog friendly, always lots of kids and dogs. Plenty of shade for outdoor seating. No food directly at brewery but there was a pizza and a taco spot nearby that a lot of people were bringing food from.

Michelle L.

Yelp
Popped over to New English Brewing to meet up with a business group. What a treat! We enjoyed lounging outside on a well manicured patio. The energy was festive and cheery. The beers were very nice and the service was friendly considering how busy it was! You could easily make this a regular meet up spot with friends. Alternatively, it could be a perfect spot to wait out traffic and enjoy some good people time with colleagues after work. Parking, while ample, was a little bit of a hunt during happy hour.

Yelp
This review is for Taco Tuesday. This brewery doesn't have a restaurant so you need to order from the outside tables via your phone. The tacos are $2.99 and $5.00 Pilsner. The Pilsner beer was very good.(light) If you are sitting inside, you need to go outside to order via the QR Code for The Craft Tacos. You can also walk to the taco place across the parking lot. They just opened so they don't have a Taco Truck anymore. There is plenty of free parking behind the brewery too. They have a 21+ area where they have a pool table. Enjoy the tasty beer and ambience.

Krista S.

Yelp
For the good: it's very spacious, large parking lot, lots of comfy chairs and tables to sit at, some games to play to keep you entertained, and a wide array of beers to choose from. In my opinion, not having food is a con but it's a pro that you can bring in your own with no hassle. For the bad: the vibes of the staff were off. I didn't feel super welcomed and it only got worse when the tall blonde took my order the second time. I asked her which beer the couple before me had ordered and she first asked me what I was talking about. I reiterated that I meant the beer (obviously) and she said "a Pilsner." Okay...told her I'd have one of those and went on my way. My boyfriend then went up the time after me for one more. He ordered our beers and she had a bad attitude towards him and just seemed to overall not want to be there or interact with anyone. My boyfriend also recognized her voice from when he had called a few days prior asking if they were showing a certain sports game on tv. She answered his question by saying, "this is a brewery not a sports bar." I'm sorry I work in customer service too and do I want to be nice everyday? Absolutely not. But am I? Yes. Would we come back? Maybe, if our friends wanted to go. But I would I personally choose somewhere else first? Yes.

Yelp
Nice space with large indoor and outdoor seating in a typical industrial park in the Sorrento Valley area of San Diego. A little nondescript from the street -- we drove right by it and had to U-Turn. The actual beer at this brewery was a 'meh' for us. We tried a few samples and then ordered 2 beers and honestly didn't care for any of them. (With samples and beer purchased, we tried 5 in all, including Pacific Storm, Por Favor Pilsner and Whole Lotta Hazy). Perhaps the fact that they're 'gluten reduced' has an effect? The female server was not particularly helpful or cheery as we were trying to decide. A few tips and pointers would have been nice. The glasses we received were non-logo glasses, kind of trivial, but it's a nice touch when you get a logo glass. The menu is somewhat small (physically) and hard to see due to drop-down pendant lights when you're stood in line. Through from the tasting room is a 'pub', but it looked just like the tasting room. Not sure what the difference is. Nice modern bathrooms for each gender. Plenty of complimentary parking in front of the brewery. Not sure if it was a general vibe or the disappointing beers, but we felt slightly underwhelmed by our visit.
google avatar

Kyna N.

Yelp
The brewery opens up to a courtyard with bench tables and a few tables, many of them were taken by a large party that day but it's a great space. The beers I had were tasty and didn't try to be too "unique" which I appreciated. Solid spot, enjoyable! PS. The pool table shown in some other pictures is no longer there, replaced with bar tables.

Yelp
Thanks for a happy hour from work to play white elephant Christmas style I discovered this great place. Located in a biotech hub, it was not easy to find and also parking situation was confusing for me (I ended up parking at I guess some lab, no one said I could not park there, but I was hesitant). The pretty factor conquered me, so much open patio with all these painted walls, and greenery, games and good vibes. Lots of guys, way more than women...I wonder if this is a place where people can actually meet...mostly large groups having beer and chatting. Food truck nearby provided excellent tacos, and there was so much space inside and outside that you don't feel crowded. Very cool brewery, don't like the name 'new English' though, not peculiar enough. I will go again with a large group but is not a brewery I would just go alone or do a detour from my path to go there.
google avatar

Krajicek K.

Yelp
Came here first time to meet up with coworkers. Great beer! The Pacific Strom stout is a nitro beer too. Very smooth, dark in color, and heavier-body. Like it a a lot! Good location, open space, and nice ambiance. There is a taco food trunk outside that one can order taco. People can also bring outside food since they don't serve food there. First time here and will go back again with friends.

Yelp
5 big stars for this brewery. 5 tremendous stars. The best stars. Sure, it's a little hidden and hard to find. But thousands of others have found it and so can you. There's plenty of free parking which is good because this place gets very busy. Not an IPA cultist? You've come to the right place. Yes, they have IPAs but they also have lots of other styles including wonderful brown ales and a barley wine that will pin your ears back, it's so good (and so potent--12.5 ABV). The place is huge. Huge interior and huge patio. Kid friendly, too. The beers are terrific. The place is comfortable and welcoming. Exactly what more do you want?

Yelp
This place is a (not so) hidden gem in the Sorrento Valley area. I just chanced upon this place on a weekday to meet up with some friends and it turned out great. The vibe is amazing, they have so much seating with pretty corners and good music. The outdoors are especially nice on a cool San Diego evening. An ideal spot to hang out with friends. Could be your regular hangout spot too. They do have some food trucks come in so food is sorted. I loved their Blueberry pale ale, very refreshing and nice. Definitely going back soon.
google avatar

Regina L.

Yelp
Spacious seating and chill vibes! We came to New English Brewing on a Friday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised to find an open and spacious outdoor area for sitting. I loved the modern vibes which made it a great place to hang out. Their indoor seating was also decently spacious as well. They have a good selection of beer and currently offer their beer in their pint and taster sizes. While their flight board is unavailable, you can grab a few 5 ounce tasters for a makeshift flight. I'm a huge fan of IPAs so opted for their Juicy IPA ($7 pint, $3 taster). I was excited to give it a try but unfortunately I thought it was just okay. It tasted a bit watered down which was a bit disappointing, but I enjoyed the overall vibe and atmosphere here and would be willing to come back to give their other beers a try.
google avatar

Jack M.

Yelp
This is a great brewery with a great selection of craft beers and an impressive venue. The staff members are supper nice as well. I tried two different beers: the Por Favor Pilsner and the Blue Berry Blond. They were both great. The pilsner was crisp and refreshing and very easy to drink. The Blue Berry Blond was a pleasant surprise. Its blue berry flavor was subtle yet distinctive. Both were definitely terrific causal social drinking beers. Another good reason to visit New English Brewing, is that they always have great food trucks or vendors in the premise, like the the Craft Taco truck on the day I visited which was a Saturday.

Anna H.

Yelp
Visiting from out of town and had a great experience! Kelly was very knowledgeable and super friendly. Will definitely be back next time I'm in town!
google avatar

Nicole D.

Yelp
I have to say, I love this place. The beer, vibe, workers, décor, location and THE TACO TRUCK! If I ever have anyone in town this is my "local joint" that I always recommend. I have never been disappointed by coming here. There is always great music, friendly faces and new beers to try.
google avatar

Bianca M.

Yelp
Super clean and spacious inside! Lighting and atmosphere were very comfortable and perfect for socializing. Tap selections were diverse and tasty. Servers did well bringing food out and clearing tables and were very friendly and laid back. would love to come back and try more brews!

Yvette A.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this place while following the Craft food truck. It is in a business park, huge outside area, lots of seating and a firepit. They should add more firepits or heaters it is cold at night. Inside was really roomy as well. The beertenders were nice, the woman working could have been more friendly but we all have bad days. So the reason for 4 stars and not 5 is they do not have tasters at all right now. I would have paid for one but it was a no go, so you have to commit to a beer you may not like and that makes no sense. Thank goodness we liked the beers we ordered. We will go back once they reinstate the tasters or offer sips so you can try it before you commit to a full pour, even flights would work.

Kyle B.

Yelp
I had the most incredible experience at this brewery, and I simply can't stop raving about it! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and enthusiasm by the amazing beer tenders, Carley and Chris. Carley and Chris are true beer connoisseurs, and their passion for their craft is evident in every pour. They took the time to explain the brewery's offerings, guiding me through their diverse selection of beers with expert knowledge and genuine enthusiasm. Whether you're a seasoned beer enthusiast or a novice looking to explore, Carley and Chris will make you feel right at home. Not only were they knowledgeable about the beers, but their customer service was impeccable. They were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure that my visit was nothing short of exceptional. Their recommendations were spot-on, and I discovered some new favorites thanks to their expert guidance. The atmosphere of the brewery itself was inviting and cozy, making it the perfect place to unwind and enjoy some delicious brews. The combination of great beer and the outstanding service from Carley and Chris made this visit truly memorable. In a world filled with breweries, this one stands out not only for its outstanding beer selection but also for the exceptional team behind the bar. Carley and Chris are the heart and soul of this place, and their dedication to providing an amazing beer-tasting experience is truly commendable. I can't wait to return and enjoy more incredible beers and the warm hospitality of Carley and Chris. If you're a beer lover, this brewery is an absolute must-visit, and Carley and Chris will make your visit unforgettable. Cheers to them and to an outstanding brewery experience!

Yelp
New English is everything a brewery should be: friendly staff, lovely grounds, and most importantly, excellent beer. The Brown Ale and the ESB are spectacular alternatives to the IPAs you find anywhere and everywhere in SD. They'll remind you of the pub ales you'll find worldwide at any British, Irish, or Aussie pub, only they're far better. There are various indoor rooms as well as a variety of outdoor spaces, covered and uncovered, paved and lawn, for hanging out. Sunny day? Rainy night? Winter day? Summer's eve? There's a place for you. I ran into someone visiting from Boston who got an incredibly cold vibe from Gravity Heights and left before ordering. I sent her here instead. The regimented routine at GH, which starts with a wait for an assigned bar seat and continues with "I'll need your credit card" is absolutely not what you'll find at New English. And you may inquire: What's this New English you speak of? What about the Olde English? I think there's still a liquor store a half mile away across from the train station. You might be able to sneak a 40 in a paper bag onto the grounds, but you'll only be disappointing yourself. Keep up everything you're doing, New English, and see you again soon!
google avatar

Katie P.

Yelp
Love this place! They have a large variety of beer and a cool and fun outdoor environment. If you're planning to have a large group then this place is good for that as they have lots of outdoor seating and standing room. There was also a Mexican food truck if you're hoping to grub with your drinks!

Yelp
This is an amazing little spot in the Sorrento Valley area. It's located in an industrial park, so probably easy to miss, but worth adding to your list of must-trys Parents!! This place is for YOU! It is incredibly kid-friendly and makes for an easy way to hang out with your pals, have a drinK, while entertaining your kids. Bring a picnic blanket and some toys and you are set Inviting atmosphere, large open outdoor area just off the main bar, and an awesome craft taco truck that serves food until 9pm- don't sleep on these tacos, trust me. Beyond the taco truck they don't offer food so be sure to pack some snacks of your own in case you get hungry. Staff was friendly and parking was ample

Yelp
Went here with a few coworkers. Glad we came across this place. Enjoyed all of the beer selections. Happy that they were dog friendly, so we'll definitely be back with our pup. Nice ambiance, great service. Strong drinks. Great place overall. Would recommend.

Yelp
Chris is the best ever. Super helpful, goes above and beyond. Went out of his way to help us!

Yelp
Awesome find in Sorrento Valley! We visited on a Friday afternoon and was happy to see a very nice, spacious, outdoor and indoor venue. The ambiance was great and we were able to relax and sit outside. More than enough space to walk around, talk and have a good time with friends or family. I ordered an apricot sour. It was pretty good, but more on the lighter, watery end. Though I don't believe there is food on the menu, they had food trucks outside to order food or snacks from, which is definitely a plus! If I'm in the area, I would definitely come back to visit and try a few different beers.

George H.

Yelp
One outside heater is broken and it gets cold at night. Not too crowded, good selection of beers. Friends especially liked the Champagne Punch hard seltzer slushy drink. Non-alcoholic drink selection isn't good though - just Dr. Brew kombucha (which is a scam), Snapples, La Croix, Izze soda, Diet Coke, Sprite. Why not some healthy ginger ale? Or herbal teas?! Or hot chocolate?! Also, weirdly, the taco place by it closes at 5pm on Sundays while the brewery is open until 9pm or so. Tons of parking though.
google avatar

Alicia L.

Yelp
What a great find! Big open space, several spread out tables with shade & a few games to play! Dog friendly of course. I personally loved their beer however I wouldn't recommend if you don't like IPAs as the majority of the menu were those. There's a taco truck there with great food as well that you can order from your table or go get. We had a great time here!

Yelp
New review from a local citizen . New England still pumps out a great variety of amazing English style brews with a San Diego twist. If you can get any of their barrel aged offerings then that is a great thing. They also have a bunch of wonderful hazy type beers. Be sure to not miss the Pacific Storm, way better than that Guineas. They're a kid and dog friendly place,so come on down.

Yelp
Great atmosphere! This place is huge (indoor/outdoor space) and very kid friendly. We tried 3 different beers and all were good. They had The Craft Taco Truck on location and it was probably one of the best tacos I've ever had. This may become one of our regular spots.

Yelp
Best brewery in SD - you've found your "go-to" spot for happy hour or drinks with family and friends. New English is a lovely hometown brewery with an extensive patio space and different seating arrangements for everyone. Craft Taco is on site nearly every day and if you arrive early, there is a cute little cafe adjacent! That's my next stop on my way to work tomorrow... P.S. When ordering your IPA, say "hello" to the owner, Simon. He is a funny lad ;)

Yelp
This brewery had a great atmosphere along with great beer. It was also nice that there were places to get food right next door. The management on the other hand made me not want to return to this establishment. I came with a large party and let them know I was coming a week in advance but when I got there, the manager working made it seem like my party was the biggest inconvenience. He was a shorter guy with gauges and was unfriendly, rude, and hostile. He wouldn't even entertain a conversation with me about what the so called problem was The staff behind the bar were way more welcoming and kind than he was.

Yelp
Great brewery starts with the beer and New English brews many great beers. They originally focused on English styles but now brew a broad selection of beer types. The brewery has very welcoming yet chill indoor and outdoor areas with comfortable chairs and tables. The indoor area has a couple of big screen TVs if you want to catch a sporting event while sampling the brews. In my experience there's usually a food truck in front of the entrance.

Yelp
With the recent changes to the space, I have to up my review to a five star! The pure and simple ipa is really good! I think it's gotten better since I have been here. Been about 6 months due to the pandemic. Now they're partnered up with a local Mexican spot and you have to spend five bucks on food. I don't mind at all, but I have seen people react negatively to it at other beer places. They took over the parking lot and made it into a great outdoor space. Tonight it was sectioned off and you couldn't go out to the grassy area, but he said that area is going to be opened soon. The indoor area is open as well as part of the patio.

Yelp
Was super excited to try this place out bc it's right by my house. Got a round around 8pm and given a last call at 8:15 and a bar closed at 8:45 because the "manager said it was too slow today." Wouldn't you want to stay open and serve all the families? They started collecting everyone's glasses and putting away all the furniture while people were still using them and kids were running around. If you are going to close early at least post it on a social media platform so people can go to one of the other 50 breweries in the area that keep their audience up to date.

Yelp
New English Brewing is an excellent space that would be great for accommodating large gatherings. Yes it's a brewery but the outdoor seating space would allow for parties of 15-20+ to congregate comfortably. They had some wonderful beers on tap. My favorites were their collaborations with Zumbar. Good beer, good venue, excellent food truck.
