New Forms - Review - Chelsea - London - The Infatuation
"New Forms is hot. The Chelsea hi-fi bar—words that shouldn’t work together, but do—is a scene every weekend. Suede boots totter about outside, the front pavement becoming the go-to spot for cigarette-swapping with strangers and failed attempts by security to make room for curious onlookers to walk by. ‘Happy Birthday’ is likely to be crooned out of tune and a rogue Collie that got roped into going ‘out out’ with its owner sends SOS signals with its doleful eyes as it’s petted by a group of girls with matching denim skirts and blowouts.

It’s happy, messy chaos. Made even happier and messier by absinthe cocktails and Made In Chelsea-lookalikes—it’s not them, they just have good hair—darting back inside when the ‘untz untz’ of a DJ set strikes up. New Forms works best as a stop-off to kick, not ease, you into a big night (it closes at 11pm), via sexy, low-slung sofas and vinyl. Start here, then stumble towards the King’s Road. We can’t promise you’ll find a cooler bar than this, though." - Sinéad Cranna
