New great taste chinese restaurant

Egg drop soup & crab rangoons were good and service was fast. Chicken pad thai was decent but had hardly any veggies, just some cooked onions &/or bean sprouts I think; nothing green. I was given plastic utensils but no napkins, and none were out. It's definitely a take-out style place, but there are a couple of bare tables where you can sit, which is nice.

This place isn’t really sit down and dine, more of a takeout spot. I recommend getting the order D8; it’s a plate with great amount of portions they really don't leave out! Everything tasted amazing and so full of flavor I’m glad I ate here. The price for a meal that actually fills me up which taste bomb is everything I could ask for in Chinese food.

Ordered delivery… lo mein, rice, crab ragoon, chicken wing, great. I also ordered Kung Pao..nothing indicated it consisted of nuts(yet it did, which I’m allergic to), which was kind of a let down cause I only ordered it for the spicy chicken sense, so I’m $15 about but other than

I ordered seafood fried rice from here. the rice was mushy and didn't have that much flavor. Such a shame because I was looking for a new spot with good fried rice and this was disappointing

This place is bombb. It’s about $12 for a plate and it comes with a good amount of food. Got stuffed easily; food was too good. I definitely recommend the plate D8, you wont regret getting food here!

My family and I have been ordering here for at least 15 years and have never had bad food. We normally get the family platters and I'll go pick up. One time they forgot to put crab Rangoon in the bag and had their driver bring me 2 orders of it no extra charge. The bad reviews here have me really confused. This places quality is better than most, and the price per portion beats the rest of lowell

The food was gross and made me throw up. I don't know why this place has such a high rating. I was warned by my roommate to not order here but figured I'd give it a shot anyway because of the rating. The price for portion size of the lo mein would be too high even if it was good. Never ordering here again. I don't recommend it to anyone else either. If you like good hot food, this is not where you want to go. This whole order cost $24 after delivery fees and driver tip. Sm (4) beef teriyaki Sm lo mein 1 egroll All barely warm and some of the nastiest tasting Chinese food I have ever had. And I have eaten at a lot of restaurants serving Chinese food.

This place is a rip off. I ordered here because sometimes my kids father gets it and it’s not too bad. They gave me the wrong order and then made me pay $2 extra to get the correct order. The food was cold and wasn’t good at all. NEVER ordering from here again. It was a complete waste of time and money.

At 55 years old I've had a lot of Chinese food in my life and I can honestly say this was the absolute worst. Rice has no flavor. Chicken in the low mein was fatty and my gf and I each spit it out after one bite each. Chicken fingers were all burnt hard and shriveled up as was the "beef" teriyaki. If you want to be disappointed and disgusted then eat here. Never again.

FOOD is affordable but the tastes are off I got a crab Rangoon , pork fried rice , beef teriyaki and spare ribs .. Rice was alright tasted a little burnt from being re-fried . The beef teriyaki I gave to a friend cause it was rubbery and pure nasty no flavor . The spare ribs looked good and had a good texture but they smelled odd . The crab Rangoons look nice but the outside part smells like clay dough .. and the inside filling has no flavor unless dipped in duck sauce . I' am not trying to be extra and I'm not painting a false picture here ... I'm writing this review as the food sits in front of me . Definitely BLAH Wasted my $15 I could of used somewhere else

All though I like there food ,yes the prices have gone up 1.oo per plate and they charge 1.oo to use credit.i under stand cost of living has gone up but quality shouldn't I agree they are rude and just don't care anymore it's sad because I've had there food for 7+yrs it's time to find a 2nd place

Fried rice taste a little weird, so did the wings. They charge me extra for hot oil but didn't even give me any. Make sure you check your charges, they decided to double what I tip them. Won't be ordering from them again. SMH.

I have been going to New Great Taste since my son was 7 and he's 29 now. Up until 2 years ago, this place was gold. I loved it and always could count on it being affordable and consistent and I could always count on a pleasant voice answering the phone. Not anymore though. The phone rings and rings because the person who is supposed to be answering the phones is actually the cook. She is rude, doesn't give you a total, won't take your credit card for payment over the phone and absolutely will not honor coupons on their older menus. The portions are now tiny and the price has risen. I asked for extra veggies in my fried rice and basically got nothing. This place has gone down hill terribly. Time to find a new provider I think.

New Great Taste is a casual Chinese takeout restaurant, which is an order at the counter place with a few tables for eating in. The place is located at the intersection of Gorham St-Central St-Middlesex St with a few off-street parking spaces in the tight lot in front of the building. The menu offerings include the standard Chinese dishes including Mandarin, Hunam and Szechuan dishes/items (most priced under $10) and chef's specials (priced $9.95-$15.25). 27 Lunch Specials ($5.50-$6.25) served with rice & choice of appetizer or soup, 21 Dinner Specials ($6.95-$7.75) served with rice & choice of appetizer, and 11 House Specials ($7.25) appetizers with pork fried rice are offered here. I stopped here for lunch takeout very recently . I got the L27 Shrimp Pad Thai with pork fried rice and hot & sour soup, which was packed and ready to go in about 10 minutes. The pad thai noodle dish had a mix of soft thin noodles with crushed nuts, eggs, big tender shrimp, and crushed peanuts, limes on the side. The fried rice (golden color) had a a firm texture with a mix of roast pork pieces and onions. The hot & sour soup had a spicy taste, which had a mix of vegetables, fresh mushrooms, bamboo, seaweed. Overall, the food I had was pretty darn tasty and the portion of food was generous. I enjoyed the leftover Chinese food for a couple days.

Not the same. My order was wrong. I order pork boneless ribs and got fat ribs instead with bone. Duck sauce was missing.

Updated as of Jan 20th Food was awful. Second time it's been awful. I threw it all out. They are super nice people but the food was disgusting. Fried rice was super old! Chicken fingers were stale and dry. Egg roll was sopping with old oil. Egg drop soup...thick, nasty, old. Chicken wings, old. Egg foo young, no words! It was the worst. I just hate to leave this review because the owners are such nice sweet people but at the same time, I can't leave a good review while these are all issues that can and should be resolved. At this point, we will not be back ;( Past review... Absolutely loved it! I'm not sure how I've never heard of them before! I had egg drop soup...best I've had anywhere! Also, chicken with cashews...again, best I've had anywhere! The rice was fresh and good. Everything was just perfect! Will definitely be ordering from here again!

Not what I was expecting at all! I got sweet and sour chicken but they just gave me chicken fingers and a big bowl of sweet and sour sauce. Not at all what it's supposed to be. Also I got their house lo mein and that was sub par as well. There's a reason why the prices are so low.

FRIST LET ME SAY THE PHOTO IS FROM "DRAGON KITCHEN "We usually get fried rice and chicken fingers ( and you only get four chicken fingers ,,Dragon kitchen you get seven!)and platters but the last few times we have gotten chicken lo mein with no chicken no vegetables so we ordered beef lo mein there was three pieces of beef no vegetables all lo mein ! all noodles !!! so we went there again a month later and ordered a house special lo mein hardly any meat at all ! with no vegetables! never going back to this place again and they're Duck Sauce is horrible something new that they're trying but it's horrible. I don't understand where the good reviews come from this place is horrible. Very cheap with the lo mein and by the way the chicken fingers are kind a rubbery. after ordering Chinese at a few places I picked dragon kitchen as the best Chinese food!!! i have not tried this place until today and what a nice surprise. i got shrimp lo mein, shrimp fried rice and BBQ ribs with the bone. best that i have had in a very very long time. i will be back very soon - thank you for doing such a great job on my lunch. my bird enjoyed it too

I just moved to Massachusetts and the food I order from this place was great. I really like the fried rice and the fried chicken. Definitely would eat here again.

My husband to go place lol.. not a fan but I usually eat from his plate when he orders soo don't let this little old review stop you. The price and portion is good.. I usually get curry chicken with shrimp fried rice... bomb!

Got severe food poisoning from a scallion pancake side dish. There must have been cross-contamination- needless to say the kitchen prob isn't clean and I would never eat here again. Plenty of other Chinese restaurants around.

We were staying in a hotel down the road on Christmas Day and were looking for food - this was one of the only places open so we gave it a try. The General Tso chicken, crab Rangoon, and pork fried rice were EXCELLENT. Price was good and portions were more than fair. Ambiance was not great, I would only order take out - but who goes to Chinese restaurant for great ambiance? Definitely a hole in the wall but it lives up to the hole in the wall having the best food stereotype.

So bad I tossed it all. I ordered three items: soup, appetizer, and an entree, for almost $40 and they were all too gross to eat. Maybe it is supposed to be late night, after the afterparty too-drunk-to-care college kid type food, but I would lose consciousness long before this started to taste edible. Thankfully there is an awesome international grocery store close by, so I've just been making my own Chinese food, but what a disappointment this place was! New rule: If the restaurant name tells you what you are supposed to think about their food, proceed with caution.

Just moved to Lowell from Boston, ordered delivery from here, and I have to say I was impressed. It's not top quality complicated food, but it met my expectations. Food is very reasonably priced, delivery was quick, and the food was hot. Also, the pork fried rice was very good!

I stopped in this place for a take out order of House Special Fried Rice. Nothing about this place is extra ordinary. Waiting for the order gave me time to look the establishment over in depth. I felt like walking out of there after looking around. Unfortunately, I already paid in advance for my order. Its dirty and dingy for a restaurant. One can only imagine how safe their food handling techniques are. I will never order anything from that place again. I will never go to them again. Beware

The prices are good for the amount of food they give. Their daily lunch specials are an excellent value though! The atmosphere isn't very exciting: looks a little run down, old gum-ball/candy dispensers, and kind of empty. The workers are nice on the other hand! The food is very good (great fried chicken!) and the wait is not bad. I recommend those who haven't eaten from here to give it a try!

I had driven past this place probably 100 times. Finally decided to try it and glad I did. The staff was friendly, plenty of food, great prices. What we ordered was fairly plain, chicken chow mein and sweet and sour chicken but very good.

Cheap dinner plates quick delivery the food is decent! Can't complain about this place I've been to so many Chinese places nearby my house some great but you pay for it or gross and moderately priced. When you order outside the dinner plate menu the prices are kinda steep not worth what pay in the end.

Had lunch couple days ago. Foods are good for take out. We ordered fired broccoli, soup( though I didn't taste it), rice, fired shrimp, and fried chicken. Food taste good.

They still are the best for take out!! They are just around the corner and it may look dingy it is still awesome!! Best Chinese dive around!!

The New Great Taste Chinese restaurant was undoubtedly the worst Chinese food I have ever had. I ordered the pu pu platter with a container pork fried rice. The chicken strips were rubbery and hard. The pork fried rice was tasteless. I was extremely disappointed with the Food. The server seems very nice but that does not make up for the poor experience. I will never go to this place again.

terrible service, the noodle they delivered to me was just like a rock. The manager told me there was something wrong when I called them to complained about that, he did not even say sorry. Bad attitude.

This is our go-to for DELIVERED Chinese food. And it has been for a while, maybe ten years. There are a number of items on the menu we order regularly and they are pretty good. This isn't where we go for sit-down. The fee for delivery is $1 plus a tip. Here's what we got this afternoon: won-ton soup boneless spare ribs house special lo mein fried dumplings crab rangoon egg roll beef with broccoli mixed vegetable shrimp with cashew nuts Gen Tso's chicken It was all pretty good. A few items were eaten right up, and we have left overs for lunch tomorrow and for snacks. The portions are good as they fill up the containers pretty well. They through in the usual stuff like duck sauce (both a covered dish and the little packets) and soy sauce, fortune cookies, etc. Also a large and a small steamed rice. Delivery is pretty fast, and the delivery person calls you to let you know they have arrived. Their menu has coupons on it, so ask for a menu. The Tso's chicken was a freebie via coupon.

We've been saying in a hotel in Tewksbury for 6 weeks and had struggled to find a good place for any kind of delivery until tonight. We had crab rangoon, pork lo mien, orange chicken, and a ting lake shrimp dishes. Both of the dinners were huge--easily enough for 2 people and stuffed with fresh chicken and shrimp rather than only vegetables. Definitely the best value of any of the local Chinese places we have tried. The pork lo mein had more pork than expected, although the size was a little smaller than expected. The crab Rangoon was fairly standard but still tasty. Bonus points for bringing duck sauce, soy sauce, and plates and utensils without prompting; and for delivering within 2 minutes of the estimated time. So happy we found you. We will definitely order again.

This is my spot my father always said if you see Asian's eating at a Chinese restaurant it means it's really good food and this is very true at this place I go to school at UMass Lowell thank you very much and this place is right near campus they have cheap lunch deals and the hot sour soup is poppin!!!!! These are my people let me tell you!always friendly always fresh best Chinese food ever daps it up !

Food is excellent but if the order is wrong by there wrong doing they blame the customer not them and do nothing to correct it there rude

I get the Beef w broccoli and the A3 appetizer platter every time. My favorite part about here is their crab rangoons. The price is decent; it's a little more expensive than some other options but the quality makes up for it.

Ordered chicken lo-mein noodles and boneless spare ribs. Food was EXCELLENT. Only gave it 4 stars because the place is not the prettiest and it was oddly cold inside, i could see my own breath. Luckily i got take-out. Besides that the food was honestly very good! Go with take out, you'll be satisfied!

Came here w/ my bf one night to try a different Chinese restaurant. Their beef and broccoli is amazing! I'm not going to lie, I thought this place was out of service considering it's in a middle of a busy intersection, barely any parking and it was always dim inside. The restaurant was very cold, I'm guessing no heat provided? They'll keep warm by cooking? Idk, but when we went there was only one guy working, I'm sure he whipped up our meal... Def. try them out!

The food is good, I have gotten general gau chicken and beef lo mein with no complaints. Second time ordering today and all of my questions were answered and special requests made properly. The customer service is fantastic. Both delivery drivers were very nice as well, all smiles and very courteous. Any time I want chinese take out Great New Taste is my number 1.

If you get fish here its 50/50 good or rotten. they buy from people off the street who fish out of the merrimack river, the fish has mercury in it. they are very rude and never get the take out order right. If you dont believe me try it and you will find out for yourself. I keep giving them chances but they are always the same.
