New Hampshire Bowl and Board Outlet

Quality of the Walnut carving boards is trash. My wife had purchased a cutting board from NH Bowl and Board as a gift for her uncle several years ago and we decided to buy our own in 2024. Received the cutting board on 2/23/2024 and as of 1/29/2025 we already have edge splitting/delamination in multiple locations on the cutting board. The quality of work this company is putting out is in serious decline. We have maintained the board well, washed and dried after use and oiled whenever appearing dry. Did not expect to see such poor durability from a $169 cutting board. Save your money and buy from another quality woodworker instead. Edit: to follow up from owner's comment, we had quality concerns and asked to return the board when we originally received it. When we mentioned the "guarantee" listed on the website on a phone call, the owner (we assume) made a sarcastic comment about not being an attorney. He begrudgingly agreed to accept it back, but we were so put off by that exchange we didn't even want to deal with him any further and decided to just keep the board. We regret not returning it now that it is beginning to fail with under 1 year of use.

Now, as of yet I haven't seen the bowls. I bought the 15 inch bowl with matching (6) serving bowls for a wedding present and had them personalized. Paul was wonderful to deal with and it was so personal. The man has so much talent to cut down, mold and make these bowls. I received one from my daughter for my birthday and love, love it, So, I know the quality couldn't be better.

We visited Paul in his workshop today and what a treat! His bowls are amazing. We bought 2 17 inch salad bowls for our newly married kids! He engraved them both and they will be the favorite Christmas gifts this year! The quality is outstanding and I couldn’t recommend more highly! Thank you Paul! We will definitely be ordering more!

I purchased a 19" walnut bowl for my wife and she is in love with it. We also purchased a 17" Walnut bowl as a wedding gift, with a inscripted personal message on it,..gorgeous as well. The workmanship in these bowls are outstanding, and it's very obvious that much love is put into each and every piece he creates. The best part is that I received both bowls on time, as promised. BUYER BEWARE This company scammed me out of a 17 “ bowl that they never sent and had no actual record of actually shipping. Hundreds of dollars, totally unethical. Update: $550 dollars for a bowl. They didn’t give me an option to purchase travel insurance. UPS has no record of it. I didn’t receive the bowl. … so apparently because they’ve sent bowls to other people, other than me. I have no right to review them. This is the same lack of sound logic that applies to their business ethics and values. So like I said, buyer beware…

We ordered a custom bowl from New Hampshire bowling board back on May 11, 2022. They immediately took our $200, but they never delivered the bowl. We called them in early June to check on the order and they said it was lost, but that they now have found it and that they would be delivering it soon. We just called back again today and they haven’t even started on the bowl much less delivered it. I’m sure these folks are good craftsman but they are so disorganized that you just can’t be sure if you’re going to ever get a product. We had them refund all of our money and that’s the end of that. My recommendation is that you do not do business with these people.

Paul is very helpful with beautiful products made of different woods. We got a salad bowl made from Cherry and a small bowl made from black walnut. Stunning piece's! He shipped them to our home in CA and they were there when we got back. Thanks Paul!

Ordered a salad bowl and some utensils through their website, after reviewing the options and watching the (very helpful!) buying guide video. As it turned out, I ended up needing to work out alternate, expedited shipping arrangements to get the product to me by a particular date. Paul was extremely accommodating to my circumstances and responded very quickly to my emails, going so far as to provide a cell phone number that I could reach him at, should I need to. He even refunded me the original shipping fee (without my asking) after we'd switched to an express option. At any rate, what could have been a headache ended up being totally painless, 100% because of their customer service. I'm now the happy owner of a beautiful cherry wood bowl. I heartily recommend NH Bowl & Board, and would buy from them again in a heartbeat.
