New Haven Pizza

Frank Pepe’s is hands down my all-time favorite pizzeria in New Haven! I’m absolutely obsessed with their tomato and cheese pizza, it’s simple (not too many toppings) but so flavorful. The space inside is big and comfortable, and the service is super fast. The line moves quickly and the pizzas come out in no time. A true classic!

If you burn the pizza, please remake it, don't just sell it as is. It's food, we're paying for it. It's ok to say "Made a mistake! Would you mind waiting while we make another?" I raved about this pizza to some friends & then I show up with a burnt, tart tasting pizza & they were wondering why I would say this was good. I had to tell them it's not usually bad like this. Don't wait for complaints, if it looks like it's burned/ overly orange, just remake it! It had like a tart, cheesy charcoal taste. The staff at the front, who answers the phone are always kind. No complaints there. 5 stars for the women up front.

a really good pizza spot with a variety of things to eat like potato skins, mozz sticks, sandwiches and salads. I love how they are open so late too. Keisha is the best and always makes ordering over the phone or picking up effortless. I’m a regular and will continue to be!

New owners are Amazing there albainian & moved from NY they turned New Haven pizza around very Clean you Can see the Cooks using gloves I am amazed it’s not what it use to be pizza is very delicious..

How you doing my name is Tyrone I've been ordering from New Haven pizza a year and one month and every time I order something is always perfect taste so good I like ordering a medium Pizza with pepperoni and meatballs light on the cheese well done. I also order the steak and cheese grinder when you bite into the same as your mouth will water even more The Taste is out of this world they know how to season it just perfect. And I like order and the cheeseburger combo with the fries these three orders I've been ordering over a year in one month and let me tell you every time it tastes so good they have to Perfect Touch when it comes to cooking this is my number one restaurant when I come to New Haven. I work a overnight job here and sometime my day job I don't eat lunch and I can't wait to come to New Haven to make an order I live in Bridgeport New Haven pizza is outstanding thank you for everything. There's one more thing I want to say every time my food get delivered it'd be nice and hot I don't know how they do it but I just want to say thank you.

Local pizza place near home, great pizza. They know when I walk in what I already want. Yes I love when a restaurants onions are like, how onions are to taste. So pungently flavored. Tonight I ordered an entire pie, usually it’s two slices. The slices are perfectly sized, that 2 may be filling. Want a late night bite to eat, this spot is open til 3am Burgers, fries, chicken, salads, annd plenty of canned, 2 liter bottled drinks to choose from and a menu full of goodie’s for you to choose from also. Not a lot of parking so it’s more or less a pick up and go spot. No tables, so pull up a car’s chair, enjoy your music if you’re gonna want anything else before pulling off. A thumbs up to New Haven Pizza.

New Haven Pizza is a place that's incredible and the more and more I visit the more better the food tends to entertains my palate 😋.... I highly recommend the pizza 🍕 the crust melts in your mouth. As for the staff the service is above and beyond and they make you feel welcomed to be in their establishment. I personally have no complaints about New Haven Pizza.

Tonight was our first night trying this pizza and we believe that it's one of the better pizzas in the New Haven area. Crust was done just right it was done on time. Service was good and we really enjoyed the taste..

Best service for a pizza place in new haven! I live close by and my girl is always workin! They are open till 2am when most spots are closed! Highly recommend for a good late night bite.

I was out late night and decided to stop by and get a pizza before I came home. I ordered a small Bacon and Cheese Pizza with wings. The pizza was not great and when I arrived home to open the wings, the wings looked liked they have been out all day and just heated up. The pizza tasted like the pizza you would get from Chuck E. Cheese but there pizza is actually better. The bacon looked a little funny and actually didn't look like bacon at all. I ate two slices and one chicken wing and threw it out. I would have given them a 1 star but the girl behind the counter was very nice. She came out to my car and told me my order was ready.

Don't bother! I ordered a delivery of ziti with meatballs and there were no meatballs. I called to complain and was told they broke up the meatballs but I could find no sign of meat anywhere.

I ordered a medium pizza with peppers sausage and pepperoni and onion rings my first time trying this pizza place it was so good perfectly cooked, so my experience with this pizza place,l give you 5* thank you l will order again

I was a bit surprised by this one I'm not going to lie. We were supposed to go somewhere else that day but plans changed and we ended up in New Haven on a whim. The place didn't look like much and I didn't check the reviews before going there. I honestly don't agree with all the low reviews at all. We got a large party pizza, some mozzarella stick and some potato skins. They were quick with it too. My boyfriend went in there to place to order it and talked to the staff. He says they were very nice and pleasant unlike past reviews said. Staffing has definitely changed a lot recently so I would give these new people a chance. The pizza we got was good. I don't know if it was the best New Haven style pizza out there but it was good. Where we are from in Connecticut has a lot of pizza places so we do have a bit to compare to. But this place was actually really good. The mozzarella sticks had a good cheese pull which I always look for when it comes to those. Their potato skins were VERY greasy though. If you're not a fan of a lot of grease maybe pass on those. My friends and I like that kind of stuff so we didn't mind at all. Their margarita pizza I have to recommend though. It was absolutely fantastic. Four of us demolished a whole party pizza in about a half hour. It may not look like much from the outside but it has definitely changed from their older reviews. I would hands down give them a chance if you've been disappointed in the past. I had a great dinner which is a bit hard to come by lately with all the supply chain issues now.

I ordered a a Chicken Broccoli Ziti dinner with chicken tenders. The food took an hour to get there and it was ordered at about 3 am. I got food poisoning, threw up the next day all day was told I could get 40 dollars in credit because of this. When I called to get the food I was laughed at by the worker and told I should've went to the hospital. Horrible customer service and a shame that I was being laughed at for getting sick from food that I was sold. Don't go here.

I'm not a New Haven native but visit often to see my in-laws. I'm very aware of the New Haven pizza rave and in fact, have tried some of the best pizza here myself. However, I'm not sure how long that reputation will last with this namesake restaurant. I believe the city of New Haven should get an injunction to stop this restaurant from using its name because they are ruining it! The pizza was the worst I have ever had in a very long time. Not only were the ingredients stale and dried out the tomato sauce tasted cheap and likely store bought. I also ordered chili cheese fries and believe it or not, it was basically fries with a can of black beans dumped over it. To make things worse, a little after eating I started suffering from a painful stomachache and I suspect the food here has something to do with it. I am very curious how these people are staying in pizza business, especially in New Haven. I have a feeling the misleading name must have something to do with it -- probably by luring unsuspecting out of towners. This place MUST go away.

I placed a late night order from New Haven Pizza online and it was delivered within a half hour. We ordered the 24" Party pizza-I couldn't even walk through the door with the box! It came pre cut into smaller square slices so it was easy to share with the group. Very good and quick food post-bar on a Saturday night!

I ordered for the first time through grubhub and it took 2 hours for the pizza to arrive. When it arrived it was like warm and the calzone was hard. The driver was extremely rude and never got out of his car and just beeped the horn. When i called new haven pizza back the owner gets on the phone and immediately stars yelling at me the the driver is there. After trying to explain to him the entire issue all he continued to do is raise his voice and yell. SOME CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!! I will NEVER prefer or recommend this place!!!!!

Got an email from the owner on regards to my complaint , really bad attitude towards the customers , a take it or leave it attitude , bad customer service , won't recommend this place to my worst enemy .

Horrible customer service, nasty cold pizza that wasn't what we ordered and they refused to remake or redeliver. I will tell everyone I know to steer clear!

Trash. Pizza is eh and wasn't cut. They gave Uber Eats half of the wrong order. Chicken sandwich was sloppy and better off in the trash. Should of checked Yelp reviews prior to ordering on Uber Eats.

Would you eat this? It's a "hamburger" club. Looks more like a jerky club. When we called they told us they were closed and that we would have to call back tomorrow to fix it.

It's 1:30am in West Haven, CT. The buzz is dying off and the refrigerator is empty. Atop of my GrubHub app sits New Haven Pizza. I take the plunge. I can't speak ill of the customer service as others have, my order arrived in about 30 minutes...though my special instructions to deliver to the back of my apartment building went either ignored or overlooked. Driver was a super nice guy and had no problem finding his way to me once the phone call was made, and he made sure to hit me with a solid "Sorry bruh, ha, you know?." No sir, I don't know, but your apology has been accepted. I felt I played it safe...Potato Skins w/ Cheese & Bacon and the "recommended" Steak & Cheese sub. You can't mess those up can you? FALSE. I cracked open the potato skins to find a cup of ranch dressing instead of sour cream which would normally throw me off, but in a half-drunk and half-starving state, I was oddly intrigued. Little did I know that ranch dressing would be the best part of these potato skins. Now, I've had my share of well-done potato skins and can appreciate a nice crunchy bottom...but these things were BLACK. Yuck. Also, I have no idea what they're pushing over there as "bacon"...but whatever was in my crunchy, black, burnt charcoal bowl of melted cheese tasted and felt more like small chunks of ham than any bacon I'd had before. Maybe I'm not the bacon connoisseur I've always thought I was? Damn you New Haven Pizza for making me question myself! On to the steak & cheese, which was more 75% bread / 15% lettuce & tomato / 5% steak / 4.5% cheese / .5% mayo. That sub was so dry I'm pretty sure you could find Walter White's pants flying around in it somewhere. Also, I'm catching a trend here with their "meat" selection. I don't want to say they use Steak-Umms...but I'd say they're using Steak-Umms. All in all...I wasn't hungry anymore when it was all said & done, but I came out of that experience feeling like a far lesser human being than I did before. Don't drink and GrubHub, guys. Pros - Awesome dude-bro delivery guy. Intelligently placed ranch dressing flavor compensator. Cons - Everything else.

GROSS!!! My roommate and I ordered from here last night. It looked a little off but we ate it anyhow. . .painfully regretting that decision. We were both up all night with upset stomachs :/ Wasted 20 bucks. . .NOT happy. Potential customers, beware!

I decided to go ahead and order here even after reading these feedbacks, my order never showed up...called and they picked up and dropped the phone on me. Had to do a charge back to my card... Don't waste your time here...

Ok..so here comes a flyer to my job...New Haven Pizza...never heard of it...even though I work on the same street and live fairly close by...decided to try it. Bourbon Molasses sauce is SOLIDDD. Sooo tasty!!! And you CANNOT beat those wings prices. Delivery was extremely fast both times I ordered and my order was correct even though I was a little "extra" on my second order. AND my delivery guy (Abdul) was incredibly nice! Needless to say I will order again and I definitely recommend them.

We ordered the #2 which came with a party pizza, 18 wings, garlic bread and a bottle of soda. Unfortunately we only got 10 wings, and no garlic bread. We called to address the problem the woman said that I was in the wrong when I had the menu right in front of me. Pizza wasn't even that good. Not worth the 50 min wait!

This place has amazing prices on slices for when your walking home drunk and need something tasty and modestly priced. Slices are 6 quarters, that's right $1.50 The carry out special is fantastic, costing you only $8 for a large cheese. The staff have a great attitude and get your food to you fast so you can be on your way. I've eaten here many times and will eat here many more. Pizza!

We have tried this place 3 times- everyone has a bad day, right? Unfortunately this place is consistently terrible. Burned pizza, clearly spoiled dressing, spoiled calamari and majorly wilted salads- couldn't even eat the food they delivered and they refused to refund out money. I would not order from here again if you paid me.

My husband and I decided to order in tonight and figured we would try a new place for delivery. We found New Haven Pizza and decided to give them a try. We ordered our dinner online at 6:35PM and we finally got our food at 8PM. We were both hungry and PRAYING that our food was going to at least be tasty. Needless to say....the food was awful. My husband had wings and a chicken parm grinder and I ordered potato skins and a buffalo chicken wrap with fries. When I placed the order...I requested that I just wanted blue cheese and buffalo chicken on the wrap. When it arrived it didn't have ANY blue cheese on it but rather American. My biggest issue with the food was that EVERYTHING was soggy...and not just soggy...but REALLY wet. It was obvious that the food had been sitting for quite awhile. The fries weren't even edible at this point. They did not include any blue cheese for my husband's wings and the chicken that they use in their chicken grinders/wraps are fake patties. The quality of their food is quite sad. As far as the customer service...it's very poor. We called at 7:40PM to see where our food was and the gentleman on the phone didn't even apologize for taking so long. Then...they called back at 8 when the food was being delivered and said that the driver was at the door. My husband buzzed the door and no one came up. Then he looked outside and the driver wasn't even in our area. The driver then proceeded to HONK THE HORN when he drove up to get us to come outside and get our food. Considering that I added a $4.+ tip to the order when I ordered(it asks for it ahead of time on the ordering website...annoying I know!) he could at least get out of the car, ring the buzzer and come upstairs. All of this I noted when I made the order btw....I even mentioned what side of the building we were located on and to just ring the buzzer. Overall, wouldn't wish this place on my worst enemy. NEVER AGAIN!

The worst of the worst. The food is mediocre, the customer service is lacking, and the delivery guys suck. Tonight, after being over a half an hour late... When I went out on the porch to see if the delivery guy was there, he pulled up, stopped in the middle of the street, and didn't get out of the car. I had to walk down the stairs and into the street to get my food when I had tipped him 15%. 15% just for driving it to my house. And when I said "You're making me come to you after I tipped you?" He smiled and said it was only a few steps. I wish my job were that easy!!! LOSERS. Never ordering from them again. They are lucky that GrubHub cleans up their messes for them or they'd be closed down by now.

I was impressed. I ordered food for delivery and it was quite tasty! Delivery was very quick.

Worst delivery experience I've ever had. Order arrived cold, with no receipt and took over 2 hours to get to my house- I live 1/2 mile away. I called 4 times to get an update and was told each time that the driver had just left. When I called to complain it was cold, they were rude and had a "whatever" attitude. Better off eating an m&m in the couch cushion.

Worst pizza ever. It came an hour after we ordered it and it came burnt and paper thin. And only after they overcharged us. Don't order from here unless you like paper thin burnt pizza from a place that over charges you and takes more than an hour to deliver it. So ridiculous!

Just use UberEATS (it's faster and you get your food on time and hot ) It took a hour to deliver my food. Pizza is suppose to be delivered in 30 minutes or less. I ordered at 11:40 pm and didn't receive my order until 12:45am . I don't feel as if I should of paid for cold pizza. Instead of coming back to get the cold pizza yelp issued a measly 30 percent ( quoted by New Haven pizza). Also I was sent a text telling me it left but it never did. I see a mistake on both ends. I was texted false information and I received pizza 25 minutes past quoted time . I'm overly done with this pizza place I would never order again or use Yelp for my convenience. I wouldn't order from here if I was you and I rather use UberEATS from now on ( it's better and you get your food hot and faster) . Goodbye too both.

I ordered from this restaurant and was not really pleased with their customer service I only ordered jalapeno poppers and 2 Oreo milkshakes which were halfway melted I opened the door to receive my food and I told the delivery guy to have a nice night he says that's it then screams no tip! I explained to him that I do not have cash on me maybe next time he yells and screams that he drove a long way from George street to west haven and he deserves a tip and i explained to him again that I do not have it right now maybe next time he yells and screams i also told him there are people in the house that are sleep and he continues to yell so I shut the door in his face to so no one will be alarmed of the noise Then I called the restaurant and explained to the owner what happened and then told him there are people in the house sleep and your driver was here screaming about a tip which he didn't deserve the owner then says well I been in business for 40 years and you should have gave him a tip once again I explained about my family in the house and also I did not have any cash on me and next time he would get a tip but he continues to scream on the phone so I told him don't worry I will not order here again he goes good and hangs up in my face..... The worst service I have ever encountered and hope nobody tips them with a card because their service is really bad and from what I read the people that did tip have a huge regret because of their service From one manager to the next in customer service the customer is always right I feel like they tried to haggle if they have a big issue about delivery from New Haven to west haven maybe they need to lower delivery miles and again from one manager to the next maybe include the gratuity in the delivery charge as a whole so your delivery drivers wouldn't beg nor harrass your most needed customers

This is the worst pizza place to order from in new haven I ordered a pizza and the order taker seem to be under some type of influence and could not even write down my address PROPERLY I had to wait an hour and a half for my food plus my food was cold and had an odd odor so it was really just a waste of my time and money 2 be honest....NEVER EVER AGAIN WILL I CALL OR SUGGEST SOMEONE EAT AT THIS DIRTY PLACE PERIOD!!!

I was surprised by how quickly the food came. Friendly delivery guy... and he actually walked all the way to my door(this is rare for a delivery guy, based on the nature of my building I tend to have to walk out to the parking lot to meet them). I actually didn't order pizza so no comment on that, but my food was warm and delicious. The portion sizes are also surprisingly huge...enough to save for another meal. Will definitely order from here again.

I ordered via Grubhub fried calamari. Got the call from the driver that he was outside. Grabbed my food from the guy, came back in, opened up the calamari which was clearly purchased frozen from the restaurant and deep fried. Tasted a piece, and immediately spit it out. The fish was rubbery, incredibly smelly, and not even visually appealing. Around that time, I get a call from Grubhub (after I had already picked up the food) telling me that the delivery guy was waiting outside... Obviously he was not since I had already picked up my food. I then told the lady that the calamari was inedible, and she apologized and asked if I wanted them to remake it or get a refund. I begged her not to send me more of the calamari because it was that bad. I ate a single piece of that calamari and my stomach is killing me. I asked for the refund -- about 9 bucks. A couple minutes later she calls me back telling me that the manager refused to give a refund and that his driver had to wait 10 minutes just for us to come outside to get the food. An obvious LIE. So now, their food sucks, and their service and hospitality is even worse. Never again. So rude, and so gross.

Truley disappointed, ordered food at 4:10 through delivery.com. My husband and I were exhausted from moving all day and just wanted to order out and save us from cooking. Well needless to say I should have just made something for us, we waited two hours for delivery and when I called at 5:15 to see if our order had been sent out for delivery I was told that it would be another 30-45 minutes, I found this absurd. I should have just cancelled at that point but really didn't feel like making anything. I got a call on my cell at about 6:05 with a man saying he was at our front door when I could clearly see him in his car in our drive way, I wasn't sure if he expected me to come to his car but that wasn't happening so I said okay so is my husband. I regret giving 15% online because clearly he didn't earn it by taking two hours with no explanation as to why or even an apology. I hope the responses to comments below are true and that they are trying to do better but if this was the attempt to do so, it isn't working very well.
