"Charlestown has a community fridge as of late 2021, organized by and located outside of NEW Health, an affiliate of Massachusetts General Hospital and Boston Medical Center; the fridge is part of NEW Health’s Food Insecurity Program. The fridge accepts donations of whole fruits and vegetables as well as commercially packaged refrigerated and frozen foods. Terrible experience. Dr. called me two weeks after a regular check up even though a follow up was scheduled. I accepted the call because I assumed she had important news that couldn't wait until the follow-up. The Dr. did not give me any important news that needed immediate attention. After I hung up, I thought maybe the call was a mistake. The following month I received a bill for the phone call. I made many attempts to reach someone to explain the situation, but I was not able to speak to anyone that might be able to help. This was not just a problem at New Health, but the billing department at MGH was useless!! After several months of trying to resolve this, I contacted the MA State Attorney and filed a report. Finally, the charge was removed from my account. I will seek out a different practice, one not associated with MGH.

I was charged for a visit and the doctor never showed up. I sat there for 45 minutes and had to leave for another appt. The doctor called me to apologize and then decided to make that phone call an office visit and charged me for it. I find this to be a very unfair practice and I thought I should share. Please make sure you review your bills and your charges when you are visiting this facility.

I went for the first time to the Dental clinic. I could get an appointment very quickly, the staff is very nice and competent. Jennifer Hernandez, my hygienist, was super nice and professional. She explained to me what she was doing and her cleaning was actually super gentle. My previous experiences in France were quite brutal! I could get Dr Abdul Aziz to check my teeth and x-rays. She detected something wrong with one of my tooth and got me a referral to get it checked further by a specialist. I guess that's what you want when you go to the dentist : getting the service you came for and getting professional advice.

This is not a health clinic you want to go to . They neglect you , do the bare minimum to help you . Aren’t they nurses ? So why would they tell me to get a covid test from CVS instead of trying to help book a covid test at one of Boston’s many sites but they couldn’t even do that . They are incompetent to do their job. They talked to me as if I was dumb . Those receptionists do nothing but turn people away . Smh

I was here once. First, they failed to correctly register my insurance information. Second, they charged me a higher amount that the paid procedure was supposed to cost. Finally, they managed to send me a bill for what I have already paid in cash. In the end, my insurance company figured it out and void the bill and gave me the credit for what I overpaid... but the whole experience was disappointing.

I went to their dental clinic and was denied service twice. I was seen by Ana Rivera and Dr. Sahana Ramos. I came to fill a cavity but Dr. Ramos didnt want to treat it but instead kept telling me about a crown for another tooth. I don't know what exactly her problem is but Dr. Ramos repeated the same thing 5-10 times. It was very strange. I couldn't understand if it was lack of self-confidence, or she was pushing a more expensive procedure. Finally, she looked at X-ray of the tooth with cavity (which was clearly there) and said it was fine and didn't need any work. I think she is dishonest and poorly qualified doctor. It is a clinic that serves under-represented population in Charlestown and it is sad that the clinic is staffed with subpar personnel.

Nice facility and a great substitute while we've been long awaiting for the Northend Waterfront location to be completely renovated. This Charlestown location can be quite far from downtown Boston, hence a bit inconvenient, but it was a necessary and welcoming substitute for getting your regular six month dental checking every six months -- again, since the Northend Waterfront location is undergoing some restructuring/reconstruction. Front desk staff are very friendly, friendlier than the Northend, I must say. Overall, highly recommended!

This is such an amazing place. My hygienist is the absolute sweetest person. I've met with two different dentists and also love them equally! It's rare to find an entire dental clinic that is so competent, up to date, and enjoyable to go to. I used to have an extreme fear of the dentist, as I've had many bad visits in the past. Once I changed to this place though, I actually look forward to going. My dental health has improved significantly since attending.

I absolutely love this clinic. The clinic I grew up in would make people wait months for an appointment. When I transferred to New Health they gave me an appointment the next day. The nurses are amazing, you can tell they know their stuff. They took me in as if I had been going there my whole life and fixed every health issue I had. Highly recommend
