*Bingo!* It Doesn't Get Easier Than This!
SITREP
New Helvetia has a really nice variety of local brews for a good price. Their hand-crafted options are truly unique, but more importantly than that, they are engagingly diverse, so much so that I have been with a friend that could NOT find something they like.
MY FAVORITE FLIGHT
Speaking of which I've had great flights when there, which have included the following, to wit:
* Buffalo Craft lager! Smooth, Refreshing, like a Prairie Field soaked under a citrus Sun
* Molly American Red Ale! More body, more taste, and yet still light
* Homeland Stout! This was a pleasant foundational brew, and is it was, this was the featured foundation that all the *Coffee*-brews were based upon during this Beer Week 2015. Good stuff too; and,
* (916) Pale Ale! My favorite any night of the week, and the one that brings me back to New Helvetia
FOOD TRUCKS
Food! Yes, Food! Various food trucks come on out and fill your belly to soak up the wonderful brews, so don't forget to bring cash for whichever truck is being featured on a particular night!
MASS TRANSIT SAVES THE DAY (FOR ME, ANYWAYS!)
*Bejeezus!* For those you of a little remiss about making the trip in the car, New Helvetia is literally just a couple blocks down from the Broadway Station on the Light-Rail Blue-Line.
Seriously. I just jump on at 12th & H Streets near my home in Midtown and *zoooom* on down to Broadway, And-Then-I-AM-SET, to meet up with friends after work or for later in the evening, without having to worry about getting DUI'd. (Not worth it!)
So this certainly makes the choice for me to hit up New Helvetia. [Sorry, Yolo Brewing Co., I love you, but it takes too much planning to try to get to you if I don't want to drive. And for that matter, that goes for you too, Track 7, though I can hit you off the Blue Line too, but *jesus*, you're a much harder hike from there.]
THE LOWDOWN
New Helvetia - It's what's for (with) dinner!
