New India Bazar Santaclara

Just as the others say, this place is like a little Indian island in a vast American ocean. They have all things Indian and it's a great spot to get any groceries, spices, or even freshly made sweet! Fair warning though, when I say it's like Indian, I mean in every sense of the word: I was born and raised in the USA and speak only English. A lot of folks who work here cannot speak English so if I have any question, it's a lot of pulling up pictures and pointing just like I would when I visit India. A lot of things also don't have prices on them so be careful (you don't want to be surprised at the register, lol)

It is located in spacious New India Bazar, El Camino Real, quality grocery, varied vegetables chat items & frozen foods , milk etc., are available and to shop with complimentary good Tea

Great indian grocery store! Always stocked up. Fresh varieties of vegetables and fruits. Perks: we always have a free chai with their tasty samosas after shopping! Exactly like having street food and chai back in india..

This bazaar has it all and beyond. It’s also very clean and organized. They have hot foods, rows of vegetables, rice, frozen section and more with so many brands options.

Went here to get some Indian groceries. It's the same controlled chaos you feel back home. A lot of people lining up for free chai, dozen others shopping for their groceries and a dozen more in line for billing. Yet, everything was business as usual. They also have freshly pressed cane sugar juice!

This place used to have a good balance of product quality and prices. Unfortunately, not any more! Have been watching for last few weeks they have jacked up prices significantly for almost every item starting from Cauliflower (which comes from California, not India) to almost every grocery item. When asked they blame it on tariffs! Interestingly, if you check around other grocery stores, they sell way cheaper. I think New India Bazar is really ripping off the customers!

This place used to be my favourite place to buy grocery but my past couple experiences on buying specifically Veer products is bad. I bought a packet of rice flour that was rancid. After sometime i bought 2 packets of kuttu flour, It was rancid and i had to throw it away. Lastly i bought 4 lbs of whole moong and guess what it does not sprout if it does its 10% only compared to other brands. Very unhappy with my experience so far. Also the associates on the counter are rude most times. I understand you have a long day at work but giving us that grumpy look all the time does not make me visit this place This is my second review since google allows only one review per business. I bought this pack of bun that expires June 7 and it got fungus yesterday. All the buns got fungus. So annoyed with the quality of the products they provide Plus they charge for grocery bag even if you are carrying your own bag and be careful with extra items that they charge you for.

Good indian veggies. I always go here for fresh Saag and mint leaves. They also have a variety of packaged Maharashtrian snacks like products of Kalyan Bhel. Good collection of panipuri packets. Samosa is great too!
