Authentic Korean flavors outside of the well-known Shin-Okubo area can be hit or miss—but this spot was definitely a hit. Tucked into a smaller space with limited seating, reservations are a must, and they operate in two sittings: lunch and dinner.
I visited for lunch and was pleasantly surprised by the thoughtful details—from the use of traditional Korean dishware to the upscale presentation. The set menu was very reasonably priced, and the variety of banchan (side dishes) was a nice touch. You get to choose your main, and both the soondoobu and bulgogi were flavorful, well-balanced, and felt authentic while still being slightly adjusted to suit Japanese tastes—without compromising the soul of Korean cuisine.
Menus are offered in Korean, English, and Japanese, making it accessible for a wide range of guests. My only wish was for a slightly larger portion of bulgogi, and something sweet to round out the meal would’ve been perfect. Also, it would be great if solo diners could book online in the future.
Looking forward to returning and trying their dinner menu next time!
