I understand that places get busy, and that getting customers their meals means making money a business needs to survive. What I don't get is undercutting (hopefully) a high standard of product when busy in order to move people through.
There was a wait as could be expected on a gorgeous day, and yet the service, while good, was very brisk. If you can't afford to hire enough servers for a busy weekend perhaps don't offer so many seats. This was fine, as I know how it feels to be overwhelmed with customers. And yet to be out of milk and creamer, yet not provide any disclaimer and still run as a full service brunch spot felt disingenuous and honestly a bit rude.
Anyway, I ordered eggs Benedict with moderate expectations. The hollandaise was solid but the english muffins were damp and soggy and thoroughly unpleasant. The breakfast potatoes were not entirely cooked, which made the American cheese (a boon in most situations) stand out that much more. Please take your time to make the food good, and learn how to say no or wait so that you can provide your best. I know you can do it buddy, you're so close!
