Wowza! I rarely give out 5-star reviews (let alone to a seafood restaurant), but this blew me away.
Food: I got the King Crab 3 Courses, in which the legs are steamed with garlic, the body deep-fried, and the roe mixed into fried rice (see, three courses!). All three dishes have their special kind of delicious, and if you're a seafood fan this is definitely worth the price.
As a not-really-a-seafood-fan person, I enjoyed the sautéed diced beef with eggplant. Goodness. It takes skill for the inside of the beef to be just slightly cooked, and the eggplant to remain purple after sautéing! That was very impressive.
And the choy sum! Whoa! Instead of other restaurants that charge you an exorbitant fee for maybe two measly scrapes of vegetables, it was quite a feat to finish off this one! There was quite a lot of choy sum, and I must thank the restaurant for actually making enough vegetables in one dish.
Aaand, of course, the dessert. The cookies must be some kinda secret recipe, how does it crumble apart in your mouth so nicely?
Service: all the staff are suuuper friendly, and are attentive to refilling water, appetizers, and changing plates. Since this place is usually quite packed, gotta say it takes no small amount of skill to keep us all happy.
Atmosphere: okay, this is a funny one, but I really liked the painting with the lavender-colored flowers. It doesn't deserve to be tucked away next to the bathroom! The usage of texture and oil paints is quite creative. That being said, the chandeliers are very, very fancy and made for a good lighting (which was a struggle for me to take pictures and not cast my phone's shadow, haha).
So, even though I came here skeptically since I wasn't the biggest seafood fan, I'm definitely coming back! (I see that crispy pig!)
