Google
Did the drink lab cocktail class #DrinkLabNOLA here so the review is for that. We had Jay who lead us through 4 amazing drinks. The experience was fantastic. There was knowledge about the drinks but also there was tons of knowledge in general. Drinks were great but I'll let you find out what they were. Highly recommend for a night of fun.

Google
I organized a group mixology class for a work trip and Camille did an amazing job teaching 12 of us three types of classic NOLA drinks. The class was filled with jokes and laughter, cocktail history lessons, and of course we all left with a thorough understanding a “good” cocktail along with the recipes. Camille made the class and informational and gave back every bit of sass we threw at her. I’m not one to order cocktails very often but the French 75 was delicious and I finished it. I would definitely recommend this class to anyone and would do another in future.

Google
We participated in the New Orleans Drink Lab Makings of Mixology class. It was a fun time with lots of history of 3 classic New Orleans drinks (Sazerac, French 75, Hurricane) and how to make them. The different techniques for making drinks were explained and how the use of fresh ingredients can take a cocktail from good to great. If you’re interested in mixology, whether beginner or experienced, this is a great class.

Google
The Drinklab class was phenomenal! Perfect for our girls trip! The drinks were amazing and the best part was we made them from start to finish! I can’t wait to come back for another class!

Google

Google
I can’t say enough good things about our experience at Nola Drink Lab!!! Our group was blown away by the whole experience. Camille did an excellent job at educating us on the art of making drinks. She makes the class fun and interactive. Do yourself a favor and book a class NOW!! You won’t regret it and your friends/family will be talking about this experience forever!! 10/10 on the recommendation! Looking forward to booking again!

Google
Such a fun class! We went for my bachelorette party and the owner of the bar downstairs/drink lab taught it. She was wonderful, so entertaining and knowledgeable. The aesthetics of the room added to the fun. We made three signature Nola drinks and took a fun shot at the end. My group had a lot of fun and learned so much about the history of New Orleans cocktails. 10/10 definitely recommend especially for a group or even a couple!

Google
We attended this mixology class for my husband's birthday (it was a surprise). He absolutely LOVED it. Highly recommend this course to everyone - even existing bartenders. Camille and Sidney were hilarious and gave us so much history on NOLA, the drinks, and everything in between. Looking forward to visiting again and checking out their restaurant. 5 out of 5 stars for sure!!

Yelp
We did the Drink Lab cocktail making class upstairs first and it was AMAZING and worth the money! The history and education that are included with the class are A1. We had such a great time during the class that we spent the rest of the evening downstairs at Baroness of Baronne. All of the food, drinks, shots (gas mask shot) were great! GO!

Yelp
While on our trip to New Orleans We went on tik too for suggestions. Someone recommended the drink lab and it was so much fun. Our host Owen told us a lot about the prohibition says and history of alcohol in the city. He was an amazing host! He taught us how to make 3 drinks a French 75, Hurricane and a Sazerac. K now feel like A pro and learned a bunch of cool tricks to make the drinks taste better. My favorite drink would be the French 75. We also tried some of New Orleans finest chartreuse. Had so much fun and the classes are very reasonably priced. Will return again.

Yelp
We had the best time with our Bachelorette party! Camille is an absolute STAR and she is so knowledgeable, fun, and entertaining! We were greeted with a signature cocktail upon arrival & learned to make a Sazerac & Hurricane from scratch. We definitely recommend this & we will be back!

Yelp
What a fun event. Upstairs of the bar the host a cocktail/bartender class. Highly recommended. Fun event with an interesting spin on the history of booze in New Orleans

Yelp
I booked a mixology class as a surprise to my hubby who used to bartend. The class started promptly. To our treat the owner actually taught the class! She gave alot of background about her establishement and then we got to work. We made 2 New Orleans cocktails sazorac and hurricane. Although the class was specific to the cocktails she gave alot of tips for making cocktails and entertaining! My hubby and I enjoyed it! We made some friends at the class and ended up going dowstairs for the gas mask. If you book the class youll hear more about the gas mask. Cheers

Yelp
While exploring our options at New Orleans for a 3-day trip, my girlfriend decided to dedicate one afternoon to the New Orleans Drink Lab. We had no idea about how to make any mixed drinks; the opportunity to not just learn the basics but also experience part of the New Orlean's drinking culture was quite exciting. With high expectations, we arrived at the Drink Lab on a pedal bike ready to get buzzed with our own creation. The drink lab is on the second floor of the Victory bar, whose owner Daniel is the instructor for our mixology class. The victory bar is amazing in itself but that is for another review. Upon entering the lab, we were immediately impressed by the decor. Similiar to feeling smarter by simply being at an ivy league school campus, the drink lab instantly made me feel like a champion mixologist. All the tools and equipment orderly laid on the counter ready to do magic. After a few glaases of champagne and a few plates of delicious Jambalaya rice to set the mood, Daniel the instructor started the class. Too much detail might ruin the fun, but we were able to make three drinks: 1) Sazerac Rye, 2) Ramos Gin Fizz, and 3) Hurricane. My finished products were amazing, I loved all three drinks so much I finished them all. Daniel's teaching style is a comedy show in itself: he told interesting stories about the drinks he was teaching and joked around with his students the entire time. His style makes the whole experience enjoyable even for people who aren't into drinks. At the end of the class, not only did I have a ton of fun hanging out with Daniel, I walked out having discovered three delicious drinks and learned how to make them. It was truely an awesome experience. I am from Vegas. One may question why I would choose to expose myself to the craft of mixology in New Orleans, when I can learn from the city where part of its sin is made up by fancy cocktails and talented Bartenders. The answer is a simple one: Vegas has no Daniel.

Yelp
Wonderful experiences!! I wanted to surprise my boyfriend with something fun and different to do while in New Orleans and this was perfect. It started off a little rocky with the bartender not being able to attend but the team offered us a refund or come the next day. We joined the following day and both were SO happy we did. We learned a little about NOLA and a lot about cocktails and left a little tipsy and with a handful of new recipes to try at home. I'd highly recommend for anyone who's interested in making( and drinking cocktails).

Yelp
I visited the Drink Lab this past weekend and it was so much fun! Camille and Daniel were so hospitable. Daniel was charming, funny, and knowledgeable while Camille was a perfect compliment to him. We called the day of and and they were so accommodating. Not only do you get to learn the history about the drinks but you get to make extremely tasty drinks. I learned things about alcohol that will help me for the rest of my drinking life! I suggest everyone try this place while they are in New Orleans, it for sure won't be my last time. Go there if your ready to have a good time. 5 stars out of 5 stars. Go Daniel and Camille! :)

Yelp
Came here yesterday with a couple of friends and had such a fun time!! We made reservations the day before not really knowing what to expect - we ended up having a private class that focused on making three classic New Orleans drinks. The price of the class covers the three drinks and a small meal paired with a glass of champagne. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. They were able to joke around with us, answer all of our questions and even give us bar recommendations for NOLA and NYC. My favorite drink we made was the Ramos Gin Fizz. I've never had a cocktail with egg whites and heavy cream, and was pleasantly surprised. It literally tasted like lemon meringue in a cup and would pair well with breakfast/brunch. On our way out, the staff gave us recipe cards so that we could make the drinks at home. 10/10 would recommend to all of my friends visiting New Orleans. It's a great activity to learn about the history of the city's cocktails while pregaming a night out on Bourbon St. The drinks I made here were way better than anything I've had on Bourbon St anyway!

Yelp
Do yourself a favor & take a break from Bourbon Street to explore & learn the art of craft cocktails. The Classic New Orleans cocktail class was amazing! You learn the mechanics of the drink & a little NOLA history. Cost includes a welcome beverage & lunch. Daniel, the instructor, makes the class super fun! The class is well worth the price of admission! Would definitely return for another class.

Yelp
I can't begin to explain what an amazing time we had at the New Orleans Drink Lab. My maid of honor and mom of honor planned my NOLA Bachelorette party and planned a cocktail making class with Daniel. It was very informative and fun! We learned how to make three of the drinks New Orleans is known for from behind the bar. We had the entire set up and got to experience what the point of view of a bartender is like. Daniel exchanged some helpful tips that everyone should know in a bar atmosphere and even told us when it was time to "Ask for the check". Now we were a large group of 18 woman and not only did they accommodate us into their beautiful bar space, they welcomed us with food and kept us laughing the entire time! Thank you so much New Orleans Drink Lab for a one of a kind experience. WE HAD A BLAST!

Yelp
I am usually a pessimist when it comes to these types of classes. I have got to say...What a freakin' excellent time!!!!! I am reformed. Camille was warm and welcoming. Daniel taught me so much about mixing the perfect Sazerac among others. He is not only educating, but majorly entertaining. Those two are just magic! Thanks to them, I can tell if bartender is doing it right. It is like I was blind, now I can see. #drinklabnola has made a believer of me. This needs to be a stop for any group going to NOLA! Great job! Worth every dime!!!
google avatar

Yelp
Drink Lab was the absolute highlight of our bachelorette trip to New Orleans!! Daniel is knowledgeable and SO fun! The atmosphere is amazing and they really do have their drink classes planned to perfection. Can't wait to go back!!
google avatar

Anna L.

Yelp
I went here with a bachelorette party and we had a blast! The drinks were awesome and Daniel made this experience more like a show. He was very interactive with guests and provided a lot of fun information about the history of cocktails, etc. I would definitely come back and do this again!
google avatar

Scott S.

Yelp
I was in NOLA for a conference. One the highlights was spending the evening with friends learning how to make drinks at the Drink Lab. Daniel, our mixologist, was funny and very entertaining. The set up is great with stations for each person to make drinks. While there was some food beforehand, I'd recommend you eat something before you go as I was still hungry. A helpful tip from Daniel was bananas or Pedialyte is good for hangovers. Given the drinks you'll be making and drinking, you may want to get one or the either on the way back.
google avatar

Angela C.

Yelp
I chose Drink Lab for my birthday party spot! I wanted to do something different and this seemed perfect. I can't say enough GREAT things about this experience. My friends and I had so much fun. Not only did we have fun but we learned tons about making drinks and alcohol in general. Daniel is very knowledgeable AND entertaining with his teaching and presentation! I highly encourage you to grab your crew or even make it a date night and have a blast!

Megan T.

Yelp
This was a highlight of our vacation!! We did this as a date night and had so so much fun. We learned so much and had the best time!! We cannot recommend this enough! Camille and her team are so knowledgable, truly experts and SO fun! The drinks were excellent and it was a great night
google avatar

Tay B.

Yelp
I truly enjoyed myself. The instructor was professional and knew his stuff! The atmosphere was romantic and intimate. The drinks were very good I must say the " Hurricane " was my favorite, learned a lot. I would definitely recommend this class for your Nola trip. I can't forget about the jambalaya and king cake before the class started with a glass of wine, Worth every penny!
google avatar

Rene D.

Yelp
Went to a wine series here called Tasting Tuesdays. The course is lead by a very knowledgeable and friendly sommelier, enjoyed varietals that you don't have every day, met new people, and learned a great deal about dropping so-called "taboos" about drinking wine. Even won a bottle during the raffle, which is included in the cost of the evening!
google avatar

Alex S.

Yelp
I had unreasonably high expectations prior to arriving, mainly because the reviews were glowing online. I thought to myself: "How can it be THAT great?" Well, it was! Drink lab exceeded every expectation. The owner was fantastic and patient. The class is fun and informative! Would recommend 100x over.
google avatar

Erica C.

Yelp
We had a fantastic class with a fun group led by Daniel and Camille. I'll recommended this experience to anyone from well-educated regular drinkers to those who rarely imbibe. Looking forward to bringing our newly learned techniques home!

Debbie S.

Yelp
This place was awesome! You make three Nola traditions drink, Sazerac, Ramos gin fix and hurricane then Finished with a chartreuse shot. Well worth the cost! Take the time to enjoy!!! We had a great time and plan to return.

Yelp
This place is AWESOME! This past weekend a group of girlfriends and I went to celebrate our friend's bachelorette party at DrinkLab and I can honestly say it was a wonderful time. Daniel knows his stuff when it comes to the history of drinks and genuinely makes cocktail making a great time. He helped me try new things (I definitely didn't think I would love the Ramos Gin Fizz as much as I did), and played on the things we already love (PASSION FRUIT lol). We're already planning on returning when we come back home for Thanksgiving. Some of the highlights of the class were being able to make yourself another drink if you really enjoyed it, learning how to properly use bar tools, and also getting the recipe cards for the drinks we created. The bar also served this delicious popcorn which was very helpful since some of us overindulged just a little. Don't hesitate to check this place out, you will most definitely enjoy yourself.

Nicholas N.

Yelp
This was a unique experience that offers not only a great time with libations, but an education about the history of several of the classic cocktails of New Orleans, how to execute these cocktails with your own station, and the witty banter of Mr. Daniel Victory who leads the instruction. We made a sazerac (THE original cocktail invented in New Orleans), a Ramos gin fizz, and a proper hurricane. I felt like I actually knew what I was doing and got an appreciation for what goes into a really good cocktail. Highly recommended for groups that want to have a great time doing something a little different in NOLA...

Jenn W.

Yelp
Drink Lab was the perfect place to go with a group of girls ready to have a great time! We learned so much history and how to make amazing drinks. Daniel and Camille were extremely welcoming and made us feel so comfortable. We had such a good time here! Such a unique experience, would go again.
google avatar

Elle M.

Yelp
Daniel is one killer bartender. He not only taught us to make some of New Orleans most special drinks but he gave us a history lesson as well as some great life advice. Well worth the money for this experience! Open up and let the drinks fill your soul!
google avatar

Ray K.

Yelp
My group and I spent a week in New Orleans and this was, by far, the best experience we had. Camille and Daniel create an environment that's incredibly fun and educational. Daniel puts on an awesome performance, teaching you about the history of liquor in New Orleans and the history behind the drinks he teaches you to make (Sazerac, Ramos Gin Fizz, Hurricane). This is a must-do while you're in NOLA. Thanks Camille and Daniel for the unforgettable time!

Peter P.

Yelp
A super fun experience. I attended with a large group and everything went smoothly. I would take the same class again because it was so awesome. Highly recommend anyone visiting NOLA take this awesome class and learn to make some cocktails!

Vanessa B.

Yelp
This was an amazing time. Took our son right after he turned 21 so he could experience the taste of real cocktails. Let's just say it didn't disappoint. Daniel's and Camille's stories were both educational and entertaining. We were in with a group, 14 in all, but we all had a great time together. Be prepared to drink and have a lot of fun. Could not recommend anything higher!!! This is a do not miss.

Denise G.

Yelp
You must visit the Drink Lab during your stay in New Orleans. We learned how to make traditional New Orleans Cocktails and had a delicious bowl of gumbo and a glass of champagne. Wow, if only school could be this fun! Daniel is a great instructor; it is obvious that he is passionate about what he does. As I write this review I am making Hurricanes and Ramos Gin Fizzes for a girl's night in. In addition to learning a little NOLA history, Daniel taught us how to use a variety of tonic waters to enhance the flavors of vodkas and gins. The Drink Lab will definitely be in the plans for our next trip. And make sure to visit Victory, their bar below the Drink Lab. Thanks Camille and Daniel for such a great time, you've changed my thinking and expanded my horizons!

Amie H.

Yelp
So much fun, what a great experience!!! Can't say enough about the owners... I'll never look at drink making again. It's truly an art!
google avatar

K H.

Yelp
Took a masterclass here during my vacation. UNREAL. Made some great classic drinks and got skills to take home with me. Hands on fun and the best instructor in the city. Daniel Victory knows everything about the industry and we learned bar secrets. A Must do if you're in town.
google avatar

Katherine S.

Yelp
A one-of-a-kind venue in New Orleans with hands-on education in cocktail learning and demonstration. Led by one of the top mixologists in the city, Daniel Victory. Owned by former news anchor, Camille Whitworth. Together they make an awesome team and offer a great experience! Definitely need to check out The Drink Lab and stop by and see them at Victory!!

Alix S.

Yelp
Amazing experience and great drinks! Super easy and usable.

Emily W.

Yelp
We participated in a Mixology class at New Orleans Drink Lab as part of our company retreat trip in New Orleans and it was a fun, entertaining and informative experience for everyone. Daniel Victory provided our instruction and his expertise as a master mixologist was evident from the start, he gave us some great tips and instruction as well as interesting information on the history of the cocktails we were making. Our entire group thought the experience was one of a kind and exceeded our expectations for the night. I would highly recommend this class for anyone visiting the city!

Maggie D.

Yelp
A must do when in New Orleans. Camille, Lindsay, Daniel, and Ivy were fabulous hosts and very hospitable. They made us feel like family. The class itself was very informative while still being a complete blast. Definitely no need for a pregame! Jambalaya was out of this world. My group and I will definitely be back if and when we return to NOLA. For sure the highlight of our trip. Cannot thank them enough!

Kristen J.

Yelp
Never thought I would ever get adventurous with my drink choice but after coming to the drink lab I haven't ordered my "go to" rum and coke. Daniel was a great teacher and so much fun! He really made me think twice about the drinks I am willing to try. This is a great place to come with a small group especially if you are looking to step outside of your comfort zone and try something new and exciting. You cant go wrong learning how to make amazing drinks with great company!

Michael M.

Yelp
Daniel keeps it low key and gives you a rockin' mixology lesson. Highly recommended as a way to start off a night or just chill with friends. Awesome atmosphere in a tucked away bar above Victory. We learned 3 classic New Orleans drinks and everyone was deliciously smooth. I would do it again for sure when I go back. Thanks Daniel!!!

Janine W.

Yelp
This class was amazing! The drink history was incredibly interesting and making the cocktails was so much fun! Highly recommend to travelers and local alike!

Charley G.

Yelp
Was lucky enough to book this place for a bachelor party, and it was awesome! Daniel Victory led the class and gave us a taste of how true "mixologists" should work in New Orleans. Needless to say, all the drinks were delicious! It was nice to be able to make a hurricane the right way, unlike what is served on Bourbon street. The bar itself is great and located right above Victory bar, which is a New Orleans institution, especially if you are a Chartreuse fan. Daniel and Camille took great care of us all evening, mixing a bit of knowledge with some hilarity. Would definitely recommend this place for any group wanting to try a little something different, but still involving alcohol, which is the New Orleans way. Truly fantastic!

Danielle D.

Yelp
My husband and I as well as family ventured here to try our hand at mixing drinks.... I always thought I knew what I was doing when it came to mixing just the right amount of alcohol and a mixer... But wow I have a lot to learn... Daniel who taught our family was so knowledgeable and made it fun... Because of him I am not getting my regular drink of a jack and ginger.... but am venturing out to try all types of drinks.

Wendell B.

Yelp
The Drink Lab transports you to a space where chill and excitement collide. The interactive drink-making lessons are full of history that affirms or debunks things we've all heard or thought about one of America's favorite pastimes. The Drink Lab experience is a guaranteed good time!
