I was in New Orleans in July for the annual Beachbody Coach Summit and the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center was the main building used for the seminars/meetings, workshops, group workouts, and shopping area.
Because of the tens of thousands of people attending the summit, the convention center was absolutely packed. It was a fine enough facility to hold everyone, though very long and it would take quite awhile to walk from one end to another and difficult if you were short on time or had mobility issues. Like many convention centers, most (if not all) of the rooms had concrete floors and air conditioning blasting, which was great for when we were working out, but quite cold in both temperature and atmosphere when attending the workshops.
There were different pop-up stations for the Shakeology bars to get freshly made smoothies, as well as other popular spots, like those for shopping and information, but it seemed that many of the people working at the convention center had no clue what was going on, where anything was, or were misinformed and gave us completely wrong information or directions. We didn't necessarily expect everyone to know exactly what was going on, but with a conference this size, we thought it was fair to assume that the people working at the center would maybe have maps or at least minimal information to help direct all of the people coming in and out.
All in all, it was okay and probably the best option with everything considered, but wish the building was designed a bit differently, rather than what seemed like just one long path to get from one room/location to another.
