A South Bay standby where families gather for a wide range of Cantonese small plates, rice rolls, and congee. Ordering is via menu rather than carts; portions are generous and pricing fair. Beloved by local regulars for consistency and scale.

No wait on a weekday at noon on Thanksgiving week. Order from a paper menu. Everything except the green onion pancake was good. Black sesame mochi pastry was good. Black sesame wrapped in soft mochi and then in pastry dough. Also I like shrimp balls wrapped with sticky rice but most places don’t have it. We ordered xo noodle but after an hour and finishes all our other dishes, it never came so we canceled it. They have room for large parties. Parking lot is not very big, we got lucky someone was leaving when we pulled in. Prices were ok. Just don’t order off the dim sum menu. The salt and pepper tofu was $22. It was a pretty big plate and it was good.

We went there on Christmas Eve to have a family dinner. We ordered the family dinner set for over $400 package. It was delicious ! A lot of food and also have left over to take home ! The service was excellent. I also celebrate my birthday there. We had an amazing time.

I went to have lunch with my husband and ordered 12 dim sums. The taste was good and the price was about 130 dollars. The shrimp dim sum was so soft, and other foods were edible without any resistance.

Nice and spacious and bright with simple decor Chinese restaurant. We went here for some DimSum with family. We got lucky that we found a parking right in the busy parking lot. Nice service and good foods. Very busy during weekend so plan accordingly. Felt abit rush but overall had a great time here.

Google
Food is good. We went for dinner so it’s not traditional dim sum as we previously had. We ordered two main dishes and two dim sum and the food portion is large. They also provided free red bean soup which is delicious. Service is really nice, staff are super friendly. Would recommend and come back again.

Google
Restaurant was quite busy when I visited so it was a bit of a wait for our food to be served but it never felt like you were being ignored by the staff. The food was delicious, both the shrimp har gow and cheung fan had a good amount of shrimp which I really liked. The xiaolongbao tasted nice but the bottoms stuck to the cups they come in and didnt have soup in them would be my one complaint. A pretty decent place for dimsum and one of the best in this area.

Google
Pretty authentic HK dim sum. The roast duck is excellent. Better than I expected though the portion is lesser even it was claim to be half a duck. Fried rice is really nice too and al the dim sum are great

Google
One of the Cantonese dim sum restaurant in Cupertino that captured my palate. My must visit restaurant whenever I am back in this part of the world. Not only they serve good dim sum, but also Cantonese dishes. Fried rice and chow mian are equally great too. Always loved to be speaking Cantonese with the staffs! 👍🏻

Yelp
New Port is one of two places we frequent for dim sum/yum cha. The service is usually pretty quick and everything is pretty tasty. I love the nostalgia of the dim sum carts being pushed around, but here you just fill out a paper ordering form. Our go-tos are ha cao, siu mai, chicken feet, black spare ribs, beef tripe, beef meatballs, and rice rolls. Everything is well seasoned, not too salty, and comes out fresh. The only new thing we tried that we did not really care for was the scallion pancakes because it wasn't the flaky and chewy texture we are used to. The vibes here are quite fast paced just as most dim sum places are. Once you are sat down, they ask for your choice of tea, and you get right to ordering! They refill your tea as needed (I only wish the tea would be hotter with the refills). The restaurant is not that spacious so the tables can be a bit close to one another. Parking lot is a bit small so just keep that in mind if you're planning to go during lunch rush. On holidays/weekends they can be pretty busy and there may be a wait before you are seated.

Yelp
Seemed pricey but the portions are generous and it depends on what you order. There were two of us and we had a chow fun for about $22 and three dim sum items at $7 each and the bill came to about $62 after tip, which is reasonable. One oddity: The bill had a $3.50 charge for "drinks"--tea! $1.75 each. We didn't order tea. I didn't complain, but be aware. The food was very good, though could be a bit bolder. Competent.

Yelp
Fabulous food and service-relaxing environment, will be going back very soon. Highly recommend to all.

Yelp
After Christmas Dim Sum lunch with family. The restaurant was very busy so we were pleasantly surprised to be seated so quickly. We were able to order some dim sum as well as main dishes off the menu. Instead of the usual carts coming by the food came straight from the kitchen and was hot and fresh. Everyone was very accommodating, welcoming and the food was delicious. The entire crew made sure our water and tea was full at all times, and consistently checked on us to see if we needed anything. This was an exceptional experience and we will be back with additional friends and family.

Yelp
Probably my favorite dim sum in South Bay! Prices are standard, dim sum is just expensive nowadays. I went on a Sunday for lunch and they were very busy.

Yelp
Came here for dim sum on a weekend. It was pretty packed. Was given a small paper with a number to wait and they called the next number when a table was ready. They do not have carts and you mark what you want on the paper menu they give. We were asked what tea we wanted like 5 different times. But they only gave it once we submitted the paper as there is a section for tea as well. Got the siu mai, chicken feet, tripe, cha siu chern fun, and the crispy shrimp balls. The food is pretty standard dim sum. The meat portions and ratios are generous. Sauce for the crispy shrimp rolls tasty pretty watered down. We were also brought items we didn't order 2 times. So make sure to pay attention. Would definitely come back for dim sum.

Yelp
I've been curious to try this place and when my gf was in town we had to stop by. It was 4 of us and we were seated right away. My gf ordered everything for us and gave me the menu to add whatever I wanted. Since it was my first time trying a lot of this I just went with her recommendations. Our food came out shortly and everything was delicious. My favorite was the tripe and the baked pork bun. I could have some of those buns without the filling any day. I saw the pineapple buns being brought out and will need to try them next time. I enjoyed my meal and liked that with 4 people we each could enjoy a piece of everything. Parking was a bit hectic but found a spot right away. Very family style setting. Round tables everywhere.

Yelp
Have not been here for awhile, the business is good as usual. Sunday lunch time is very busy but they try their bests to accommodate guests as fast as they can. The chairs are now covered with a blue satin seat cover, it feels cleaner and more elegant. Service was good considering a Chinese restaurant. We got people came to refill water. Collecting dirty dishes is a bit tricky as they tended to only collect the steamers put aside and not the ones in the middle even though they were finished. lol. They don't have dim sum carts but the waitress carried trays of food walking around. They had roast pork, Peking duck sandwich, walnut shrimp, and freshly made pineapple buns being carried around. The dim sum tasted fine. I was a bit surprised at the price gap between a small $4.99 and Medium of $7.25 because a large is just $8.25. We joked that the chef's knives probably need sharpening as the spare ribs were not properly separated and the BBQ pork is also not sliced through. The BBQ Pork was also quite dry and not as flavorful. The Soy Sauce Chow Mein lacked a bit wok heat and although they had the Chinese Chives w/ Pork Blood on the menu but the staff told me that they don't have it for a long time. I was so excited as not many places serve pork blood....oh well, maybe cross it out on the menu next time! The shrimp & pork dumpling was good, the steamed pork ribs flavor was good (just too clustery and not cut through), the steamed fish ball had a lot of cilantro but tasted fine. The fish fillet rice noodle roll's fine, the rice noodle is a bit thick but the fish fillets inside were also chunky. We also ordered a coconut pudding and a mango pudding. Both $4.99 each and the mango pudding was huge in portion but it tasted the same as the coconut pudding as the pudding was a dual layer with half of it the mango pudding flavor. The mango pudding came from a fish mold (the same one you can use to make CNY nian gao). My friend observed that the place was busy and must be in good business. I commented that for this type of restaurant that is mainly targeting Asian customers, you just need to be average quality with reasonable price to get the volume.

Yelp
Solid and authentic dim sum! You order on a paper menu, and food came out reasonably quickly. My favorite was probably the egg yolk lava buns--warm, gooey, and sweet all enclosed by a sweet crunchy bun exterior. I've also never really seen fish fillet rice noodle at a dim sum restaurant before, which was decent and very interesting to try! Probably wouldn't recommend the scallop dumpling--it was basically a shrimp dumpling and they only give you 3 pieces with minuscule amounts of scallop (as compared to 4 pieces in the shrimp dumpling)

Yelp
We were craving some dim sum so decided to drive down to Cupertino to this restaurant . This is NOT a cart type dim sum where they push around and you can pick what you see. You order from a menu and let Yelp guide you Arrived around 130 on a Sunday afternoon, was approximately a 15-20 minute wait. If I had to choose, salty savory over sweet is my preference. We enjoyed the trip as well as bean curd dishes, along with Chinese broccoli for our vegetable dish. You can't really go to dim sum without having some siu Mai or XIAO LONG BAO (aka XLB) so we did After eating, one person had a tummy ache. Decent dim sum that is popular and tasty, but the hygiene of the place leaves me wondering.

Yelp
I always come to Newport with my family for big events or just a nice family dinner. They recently renovated, so it's super pretty in there with comfortable seating. Service and food are always nice and yummy. Definitely a safe choice for chinese food. We love their salted fish and chicken fried rice AND the peking duck :)

Yelp
Delicious lunchtime dim sum offerings. We've gone for years and are never disappointed. Nothing too greasy, quick service and hot tasty dishes

Yelp
Best dim sum in the South Bay! I grew up eating dim sum since my mom worked at a restaurant in Seattle that served dim sum so she would bring it home daily for me. I've tried a lot of places in the South Bay, and this one is the best. This place does get busy on the weekends, so I recommend arriving when they first open, or else you'll be waiting for a while. They have parking on each side of the building, but the parking lot does not connect. So park on whichever side you see parking available first because turning onto traffic to the next parking lot will be hard. My usual order is siu mai (shrimp and pork dumpling), har gow (shrimp dumpling), steamed beef balls, steamed pork ribs and pumpkin w/black bean sauce, crabmeat dumpling, steamed pork and bean curd skin roll. Everything here is delicious. The siu mai is soft and not gristly or chewy like some places. The har gow is large and plump, and the shrimp is not fishy. The pork ribs have a great savory flavor, and the pumpkin and jalapenos work well with it. I highly recommend getting the crabmeat dumpling since this is not a regular dim sum dish you would find at most places. It tastes like har gow, but with crabmeat. At the table, they have soy sauce and chili oil for you to mix to dip your dim sum. Pro tip: What I learned at the restaurant where my mom worked was to add red vinegar to that mixture. So, I always ask for red vinegar; all dim sum places have it. You have to ask for it.

Yelp
a solid go-to for budget dim sum. the food was worth it for the price, but in my most recent experience, the service was not attentive. half of our food came out quickly, and the second half of our order came out when we were completely done eating. we ended up taking the second half of the meal to-go. they did try to make up for it by giving us complimentary custard buns, which i really appreciated! i'd come back if i was craving dim sum but didn't want to pay steeper prices for a higher experience. the peking duck was my favorite dish of the meal!

Yelp
Finally got to try this place out (been sitting in my collection for a while). We were pleasantly surprised by its food and value. First off, parking lot is to the north of the restaurant. Don't accidentally park in the lot next to it that belongs to the orthodontics. Secondly, come early or make a reservation. We arrived before 12 and were able to secure the last table. Soon there was a line and people struggled to find parking. Now about food. Most of the items here are above average. A few items are highly recommended: Siu Mai (generous portion, tender, and tasty), Shrimp Rice Noodle Roll (loved the sweet soy sauce), and Bean Curd Skin Roll (good portion and tasty). The sticky rice chicken was also good with salty egg yolk and Cantonese sausage. The chicken feet was neither too sweet nor too salty. The only complaint we had was that the radish cake came cold. We raised it to the manager and were able to get a freshly baked replacement. Overall the service was responsive and attentive. The bill came out lower than we anticipated before coming in. I'd say it's below Bay Area average, certainly better than the SF non-sense (all kinds of fees). Some items we ordered were either not available or not served (pork ribs), but this is typical for a Cantonese restaurant this busy. That's why I give it a four star not a five.

Yelp
This local gem has been around for many years! Gather round for a yum cha session at New Port Restaurant. Stepping into this bustling eatery on a sunny morning, you're instantly met with the savory aroma of freshly steamed dim sum and the cheerful chatter of families. We dove into a delightful array of treats- succulent Sui Mai perfectly balanced with pork and shrimp, tender Har Gow with its plump, juicy filling, and savory silken Rice Noodle Roll. If you're up for a sweet item, their Baked Pork Buns or Egg Yolk Lava Buns are perfectly crispy and semi sweet. These are the dim sum delights I enjoyed and recommend: Shrimp and Pork Dumplings (Siew Mai): These bite-sized gems are a delightful mix of juicy pork and succulent shrimp, topped with an orange roe that pops with every bite, always a staple! Baked BBQ Pork Bun: The sweet and savory filling of barbecued pork encased in a flaky, buttery pastry is an irresistible treat that offers a delightful crunch with each bite. Egg Yolk Lava Bun: A decadent surprise awaits inside these soft, pillowy buns-- a rich, creamy egg yolk lava that oozes out with the first bite, blending perfectly with the crisp bun. Deep Fried Shrimp Balls: Crisp on the outside and tender inside, these balls are a crunchy delight in a light, savory batter. Shrimp Rice Noodle Roll: Soft, silky rice noodle rolls filled with fresh shrimp, drenched in a sweet soy sauce--a slippery, savory pleasure that glides right off the spoon. Each dish at New Port Restaurant showcases the authentic flavors and meticulous preparation that make dim sum such a beloved dining experience. Don't miss out having dim sum here!

Yelp
It's been awhile since we last came here, but I brought my mom here. She remembers coming here a lot with her friends. They remodeled and painted the interior with powder blue and blue chandeliers. Last time it was yellowish/gold. Good for dim sum, Cantonese food, etc. The service was good and attentive!

Yelp
Ambiance was great! Take out and ate at home :). They did add two huge lights and repainted the walls about a month ago in their dining room. It looks great individually but doesn't quite work. Maybe it's the paper table cloth. Tonight's to go dinner was very good. The crispy flounder fish was crisp when we got it home and there was enough sauce. The honey walnut prawns sauce wasn't as smooth & thin as it should be but the flavor was fine. I only ate one salt & pepper pork chop. My family demolished it and they loved it. Peking duck was perfect today, a little fatty, a little thin, buns were warmed, meat on some of the bones. The housin sauce & greens were good. I was very happy with this meal. We also went for dim sum. We arrived about noon on a Thursday. It was not super full. We marked our choices and they took about 15 minutes to come out. It was much fresher on this trip. I would come again.

Yelp
We hadn't been back to this restaurant in quite a while. It's always busy on weekends. We went on a Friday -- there was no line, and a few tables were empty, but every parking spot was taken. It made me wonder if many of the spots were being used by staff. We almost gave up and went somewhere else. As for the food, the dim sum items were great. The XLB could've had thinner skins and been more flavorful. We hadn't been back to this restaurant in quite a while. It's always busy on weekends. Yelp
New Port is a decent dim sum restaurant, great for South Bay-ers who do not want to venture far away for yum cha. The food is bit heavy and oily for my preferences, but it gets the job done with a large party of hungry people. The prices are average, and service is what one would expect for dim sum. Parking here can be challenging at peak times. Diagonally across the street is Cupertino plaza, sporting many boba options for dessert. Or, have a stroll at the plaza to work off the calories!

Nancy L.

Yelp
Extremely poor service! Server was argumentative as well as bought us dishes we didn't order. Dim sum was cold, tasteless and overpriced!
google avatar

Ken C.

Yelp
All the classics at a reasonable price They have all the typical dim sum fare - shrimp dumplings, sweet pork buns, shrimp rolls, and zongzi. Service is fast and we ordered a la carte and they brought out the food. They also had some servers walking around with dishes. My main qualm is that their veggie selection is fairly limited. Otherwise tasty dim sum at a reasonable price
google avatar

Lydia C.

Yelp
Food: Most of the dishes are great, especially those with shrimp! Strongly recommend the shrimp&pork dumpling and deep fried shrimp ball. If you want something refreshing and light, I'd recommend the steamed fish balls. I have been here 3 times and would like to come more to try all the dishes! Service: They're always quite busy and no specific staff is assigned to a table, so you need to try hard to catch their attention if you need anything. Ambiance: traditional Asian decor, good for any size of party and even reserve for a banquet.

Yelp
Solid dim sum spot in Cupertino! Portion sizes were generous, good flavor and quality. The ginger scallion beef tripe was literally overflowing - have never gotten one so large. We also enjoyed the pork BBQ buns, shrimp rice noodle roll, egg and pork congee, fish balls, and peanut sesame balls. Everything was delicious. They don't push carts around here - you just order. Service was a tad slow at times, but the food came out pretty fast. Lots of seating + wasn't packed on the Friday noon we went. Was a bit expensive at ~$30/pp total, but we had some leftovers. Would recommend + will be back!

Yelp
came here at 10am opening time on a Sunday and there was no wait. came here on a friend's recommendation. everything was on point and food was piping hot and hits the spot. we ordered 10 items and the bill only ended up being $86 including tax

Alice C.

Yelp
The food is very very delicious!! The price is also very reasonable! You would like this Hong Kong authentic food very much. It's the best such kind restaurant in this whole area!

Yelp
My daughter and I have been coming here for dim sum for some 20 years. They recently redecorated so the furnishings are new and the ambience, a little cleaner and more cheerful. The prices have gone up considerably from 20 years ago, but what hasn't? Five items cost us $45. We had mostly seafood selections except for the barbecue pork buns. We will keep coming here The parking lot can fill up on weekends

Yelp
New Port will be my new go to for dim sum. Their Sui Mai is a bit different than ones I've had before, it's mostly pork and shrimp with just a sprinkling of roe which is a surprisingly delightful. The wait staff is very friendly and helpful, the decor is your typical Chinese restaurant with chandeliers, disposable tablecloth and bright lighting. There's parking on the side and back of the restaurant if you are lucky enough to get one.
google avatar

Aly N.

Yelp
They always treat us well. Attentive to service, food is made to order now. Shu mai is tasty

Yelp
I came on new years with my gf and her family since not much was open. The service was super low but I guess this is because of new year's and staff are probably off work. The ambience is a typical dim sum style decor. There are tables with covers and the lights resemble that classic chinese food place vibe. We ordered the following: Green beans: kinda crunchy, standard green bean fare stuffed tofu: pretty good, slight crunch and meat on top was good, sauce wasn't too salty either fried rice: pretty good, nice flavor and also not heavy on the salt walnut shrimp: pretty standard fried shrimp Steamed eggs: surprisingly good! had preserved egg and salted egg inside of it, never had this before Overall it's decent and I'd come again for sure!

Yelp
Located near Apple's Spaceship HQ & Cupertino Village Shopping Plaza at the corners of Homestead & Wolfe Ave, New Port is conveniently accessible via HWY-280 or El Camino. It serves traditional Hong Kong-style Dim Sum, which just means snack, or more precisely, yummies served in a smaller portion so family & friends get to enjoy more varieties of dishes that a regular meal wouldn't permit. Note: even though the words Dim Sum do correspond to the two Chinese characters Touching & Heart, but I'm pretty sure when the Hong Kong folks decided to name these Dim Sum that they didn't mean these shacks are touching the hearts. I really don't like people trying to explain to non--Chinese this meaning, because no Chinese would think of Dim Sum as touching the hearts, but something small & yummy Now that I get that off my chest, it's one of my pet peeves New Port has a great variety of Hong Kong Dim Sum yummies, from Haw Gaw, Siu Mai, to chicken feet, etc and also deep fried sesame balls, etc We also ordered Beef Chow Fun, and Singapore style vermicelli, all very yummy. Service was good, and prices have gone up significantly just like anything else these days. The only minor complaint is that it sits at the small corner location, this means parking can be challenging at meal time.
google avatar

Yelp
The dimsum here is pretty good. I enjoyed most dishes and the flavor was great but the service was really slow and the staff was not being attentive and most gave their attention to the people they know instead of getting the same service to every customer. Also, the portion is a little small for the price so I wish some of the dishes was a little bigger to make it more worth it!
google avatar

Sabrina L.

Yelp
Amazing food and service the staff were so friendly and attentive! I deeply appreciate how kind they were it was my birthday and they gave multiple complimentary desserts for our table. The food was scrumptious - highly recommend the salt and pepper crab it was served piping hot and succulent. All the greens were great, and the dim sum was as well. They have a kickass chandelier.

Yelp
New Port is definitely one of the better places to get dimsum in SJ. Would recommend getting these dishes: - Siu mai (4/5) - Beef ball with tofu skin (4.5/5) - XO sauce radish cake (5/5) - Har gow (3.5/5) - Beef rice roll (3.5/5) - Baked bbq pork bun (4/5) The one dish that we disliked was the salt and pepper fried fish, which was more like breaded fish sticks and tasted/smelled like it had gone bad.
google avatar

Geof P.

Yelp
Really lovely time at an impromptu birthday dinner. We thoroughly enjoyed the house special duck two ways - Peking w/ buns and stirfry wrapped in lettuce - and several dimsum orders. The sauces were especially good for some reason. The service was pleasant and attentive, though the staging of the order was a little weird, presumably due to some backup in the kitchen? Anyway, I'll be happy to visit again sooner rather than later.

Yelp
We came here to celebrate Mother's Day dinner. They were very busy that night, as expected, but luckily, there were tables available without waiting. They seem to be very busy with togo orders though. Originally, they sat us at the smaller table since there were only 4 of us. However, we didn't want to use our brain for ordering, so we chose their 4-6 persons combo meal. It includes 10 items (1 appetizer + 1 soup + 1 dessert, the rest were entrees/proteins/veggies), so they moved us to the round table. It was about $300 after tip and tax, but we did have leftovers. It'd probably be perfect amount for 5 people to share though. Everything was pretty decent/good. I just wish that they served the fried rice earlier on. They only brought on the fried rice when we were on our 7th dish (aka when we were almost full). My favorite was the steamed live fish, which came on last. It was very fresh and soft. The lobster w/ginger and green onion was a bit hard to eat because the shells weren't fully cracked for us and they didn't give us tools. Chopsticks came in handy during that situation though. There was a kid doing bills (with an adult helping), which I thought was cute. It was obvious that he was the one who was eager to take on that task.

Yelp
Our fav dim sum spot at the moment. It's order on paper and everything comes out quickly. I do wish they had the push carts, but I would aim to go when they open on weekends. The wait can be crazy and the parking lot is tiny. Plan ahead but everything tastes delicious

Yelp
We came here as an invite for a graduation party. The food served was quite good with a variety of flavors and textures from jellyfish, octopus, duck, dim sum to name just a few. The service was good and the dining area was spacious and comfortable.

Yelp
We have always enjoyed dining at New Port restaurant and it has been a place for our family to dine at for weekend dim-sum brunches. We were back last weekend and must admit it was more than disappointing!!! - No more freshly made dim sum coming around in carts!! - Menu (offered dim sum) was much more limited and a few of our favorites were not served anymore - the fried items showed up cold and over cooked - Most dim sum items were cold and seems like they just make them and let it sit in the kitchen till someone orders it! We are so sad that we won't be going back there for the weekend dim sum lunches any more!!

Yelp
Stopped by for dim sum with my parents on a weekday. I was surprised - it was really busy. Got to eat some traditional dim sum dishes- fried taro, sui mai with shrimp, har gow, crepe with shrimp, fried shrimp ball, turnip cake , pan fried chive dumplings, pork wrapped with tofu skin . It all tasted real good- some dishes could've been hotter. Service was good.

My SO and I checked out New Port Restaurant for dim sum on a Sunday around ~11:15 AM. There wasn't a wait, albeit it started filling up after we were seated for 10 minutes. The service was pretty fast and somewhat attentive; you have to wave someone down at times if you need anything. FOOD/DRINKS We ordered about seven items (6 M, 1 L) via the dim sum sheet. The (M) items are about $7, and the (L) items are $8. The total was around $54 before tips. -Hot Jasmine Tea: roughly $1.8 per person. The teapot was filled with an unusual amount of tea leaves. Not fragrant at all. -Taro Puffs: one of the best plates we ordered. Crispy and filling was tasty. -Shanghai Pork Dumplings: they're mini per the photo, and they tasted okay. Lots of ginger flavor. It came with a red vinegar dipping sauce. -Short Ribs with pumpkin and XO sauce: the pork was pretty fatty. Not as flavorful as I wanted; barely tasty with any XO sauce. -Pan Fried Radish Cake: pretty bland. There were big slices of radishes and tiny bits of Chinese sausage on the cake. -Pork and Shrimp Shumai: solid. It was good. Top 2 aside from the taro puffs. -Scallop Dumpling: it was okay. It was misleading since it was a mixture of scallops and shrimp. I'd pass on ordering this next time. -BBQ Pork Pastry: they're mini puff pastries with bbq pork fillings; it was good. Overall, the dim sum was reasonable. Mostly satisfied cravings? Sure. Nothing exciting. The menu isn't as extensive as other places--a few unique offerings, like Roasted Pork and Crispy Duck Buns, are brought to each table.

Yelp
I recently visited this place and was really impressed by how welcoming the staff were from the moment I walked in, it felt like they genuinely cared about making my experience enjoyable which made a big difference, the food itself was really flavorful and fresh, every bite had a nice balance of spices and seasoning that made it hard to stop eating, the presentation was simple but appealing, and you could tell they put thought into making each dish taste just right without overdoing it, the atmosphere was calm and comfortable which made it easy to relax and enjoy my meal without any rush, overall it was a great experience that left me satisfied and I would definitely consider coming back to try more of what they offer because kindness in service and good food go hand in hand here and they nailed both.

Yelp
Best dim sum I've ever had. Many different types of dumplings. We ordered several different types of shrimp & scallop dumplings. It was a lot of food for the price we paid. This place gets packed quickly so come early.

Yelp
Food was fine. Service is what you expect from a Chinese dim sum place. Food and prices are comparable to the sit down dim sum places in the area. However, the portions of some items are definitely smaller -- especially the salt and pepper seafood (had like 6 pieces of squid and shrimp). It's a busy place still, but I wouldn't necessarily choose this over any other place in the area.

Yelp
This dim sum spot has been here for decades. I used to come here as a kid, been here once or twice as an adult and then didn't come here for at least 5+ years. I didn't feel like the other typical dim sum spots, so decided to stop by here around 2:45 PM (15 minutes before the restaurant closes). The best way to explain the food and feel, is a family restaurant that used to be a happening location, but has become a local staple. The food is bigger, has ok taste, isn't too greasy, tends to serve an older clientele. People come by in sandals, more casual clothing, and at 3:35 PM, people are still hanging out. Maybe, think of it like your neighborhood dim sum spot, but not like a mom and pop shop. They have all the usual items, and also had sweet sticky rice, which isn't always served everywhere in the South Bay. It is a classic in SF, etc I wouldn't come here on a date or business meeting, but a place to bring people you know well, etc. (ie. the utensils are older, water cup might not be super clean, etc)

Yelp
Dim Sum here was just ok! Pricing matches the area, but nothing WOW'd me. The Salt & pepper diced tofu was so salty I couldn't eat it... I would die. Everything else was just ok. I think I'd prefer to drive a little farther and wait it out for a table. I didn't love New Port enough. I think the reflection was how empty it was for a late Saturday morning / noon...
