New Republik

Successor to People's Republik, the big 2am spot on Mass Ave, which closed a few years ago. They still have some of PR's decorations. Less character than PR, but continuity through the staff as well as the decor. Friendly, kitchen open late (great nachos), good for groups.

We love this bar! The staff is very friendly and they have cultivated a fun cast of patrons. Great place to play darts or watch a game. Above all else this place serves incredible food. Well above what you’d expect from a bar. Luisa and Eddy are expert chefs and their Nachos are the best I’ve ever had (and I grew up in California). Oh and they have pickle backs on tap! (Trust me on this one, I fell in love with my wife after a Republik pickleback)

Great neighborhood bar, good drinks and great staff. Huge selection of bourbons and craft beers. If you see them advertise a “Popup” Smash burger night, make sure you attend!!! We will be back again soon!!

Almost everyone goes to a bar to eat. I go for the ambience and experience (and occasionally, food). New Republic made the cut. Virtually every bar I've been to, is dead Mondays. Not New Republik. About a dozen patrons were present and the ambience was warm, welcoming, and laid back. I had a beer stared at my phone and left fully satisfied with the visit.

Great service great music. Wings were awesome, but they were winglets otherwise I'd give a 5, I thought they were full size. Overall I would definitely recommend

Our new favorite local spot! Great beer selection and the bartenders are super friendly and knowledgeable, they'll help make sure you get something you'll enjoy. We love sitting on the patio with a cold beer (+1 for the Black Hog cold pizza) and the very tasty nachos!

Super Super Happy to have a great Neighborhood bar back in business!!! Service was great! Great craft beer selection! Also incredible place to play darts!!! Got the french fries as a snack…don’t think they are from France. Irregardless this place Rocks!!

Simply the best. Great bar and laid back atmosphere, friendly staff, great food, lots of tables and space. As good for a workday lunch or weekend brunch as it is for an evening with friends.

My friend and I came here on a Saturday night for dinner. I had one of the best burgers in recent memory here, and now I'm sad that I don't live in Boston anymore because I would be coming back to this bar all the time if I did. Really great service and we loved the decor.

Wow odd place. I was concerned about the crowd it would attract but it's totally fine. They have a few German beers which are cool, the beer cheese and pretzel bites were really nice. The nachos were good, the portion size was about double or triple that of the pretzel bites. They did give enough toppings for the chips which was good. Ambience is dim and maroon, I found it pretty loud. Chairs were not super comfortable but the beer was great.

Popped here before a dinner reservation. Great beer and excellent bar food. Particularly the wings.

Cool vibe. Ice cold hard cider. Best cheeseburger I've had in a minute. Just go. So good. Unexpected good.

I absolutely love this Inman Square spot. The bartenders are great, the music is always on point, and the vibe is lively, but not chaotic. There are TVs and in the past they've put on games we've requested. They have food and a pretty large drink menu (including wine and non-alcoholic options). If you like pickleback shots, I'm happy to report they have pickle juice on draft. The space can get busy, but doesn't get so loud where it's impossible to have a conversation and we've always managed to snag bar seats or a table.

Big boston sports energy Came here to watch the celtics game and was the perfect spot. They have several TVs and a kitchen that is open late. We got the typical game day fare - nachos, chili cheese fries, and a pizza. Food came out hot and hit the spot. Portions were reasonable and same with the price. Lots of energy for boston sports here. Just tricky to get a table, but this is a great spot to watch games

The best bar in Boston! Such great people, both staff and visitors. Wildly chill but also very serious about their beers and food. So pleased you all have taken a good thing and made it your own!

This place is super chill--I used to come to the last iteration with drunk cooks that wanted strong drinks and darts, in that order. The new place offers the same, but is also cleaner(?!) Good music, super reasonably priced drinks. Excellent vibe. But the best thing of all is definitely the picklebacks. They have pickle juice on tap. No, really. On tap. They f@#k,. Super hard.

Our party of 7 went there Saturday for a bite after moving in. The food and beer were great. We had pretzel bites and chips and guacamole to start, both tasty. There were a mixture of burgers and chicken sandwiches for dinner. My chicken sandwich was one of the best I've had. Loved the coleslaw and pickle additions. My only problem is that you have to go to the bar to order, no tables idea service for ordering. Everyone who worked there was pleasant and helpful. I had the Farmhouse ale- loved it! I'd return when in the neighborhood.

Very happy that this place re-opened. It's rare to find a decent unpretentious bar. My only complaint is that the new Inman Square patrons are all dweebs. I've never seen so many boring people in one place. Well I have because this is Cambridge, but I really miss the clientele of the People's Republik.

I had a great visit! The bartender was friendly and the food was good. I am so happy to see this place come back to Cambridge! It is very well run. Darts, beer and food! Who could ask for more? Just go there!

PBR's flow true here. Food is not the best not the worst. They have darts and a bunch of board games etc. solid neighborhood spot.

The New Republik has a great atmosphere. Very fun hang! Not as much of a hipster neighborhood bar as People's Republik, more hipster, but in an ok way. Darts like the old place, with more boards. The food choice s were solid and the service was terrific.

Very friendly service. Ate at the bar. Burger cooked just right. Wife had hot pastrami sandwich which she loved. Highly recommend.

Great restaurant and bar! Had a chance to go there this week. Everyone enjoyed the food, such a great atmosphere and fantastic drinks. Highly recommended!
