"£7 an hour to live your childhood dreams of being in a rock band and recording in a studio, I mean that’s cheaper than Guitar Hero for Xbox. Who can say no to that. If you already live the rock star life and just want to sit back and relax you can just catch one of New River Studios many gigs and exhibitions. Still a bit burnt out from the world tour? How about a game of Street Fighter or one of their other vintage arcade games. If you can’t even handle that, go pet Bagel the cat. She is #famous on instagram. I went there for a gig, the place is not massive and even the stage is OK. People are pretty friendly, there is a nice selection of beers, and you can have some food, such as pizza or sandwich.
The pizza wasn't the best, but I wasn't expecting more. It does the job, I guess.
In terms of drinks, there are a lot of good beers.

One of the best grass roots venues in London - maybe. The loveliest bar staff in London - definitely. Great place, nice people

Awesome place!! Great music, reasonably priced drinks, welcoming staff, always. The crowed this place attracts is friendly. Quite a quirky place. They allow you to hire spaces too, hence the art pictures from a life drawing class that was hosted here. And it's surrounded with art work outside, hence the other pictures. Plus they have various local cats roaming around, this one stayed 🐱 lovely place. Really cool ❤️

If you are part of the art scene and enjoy a more casual experience that still stimulates you, give this place a visit. I've loved it since the moment I stepped in.
There is always something interesting going on, be it an art piece, chill music or just nice company. And you can make friends so easily!
The beers are fantastic, they have both somewhat common beers and more crafty ones (my personal favourite is the mango beer, I could live on that). And don't get me started about the pizzas, one word only can sum them up: wow! The Vegana is borderline a gate into nirvana.

The kind of place you really need in your area - rough around the edges, a bit edgy and scruffy, the antithesis of your average safe, corporate experience. A great place to see bands - follow on social media for details. A few decent beers on tap from local breweries like Signature. Folks like me with no tattoos are made to feel welcome! 😄

Always a blast! Love coming here for their clay night on Mondays. Super affordable pizza and pints are a bonus.

Honestly this place is epic! What a marvelous community of emerging artists, very communal and concious but not in a pretentious way. I've heard that the bar makes the best pizza that compares to that of New York. Respect 🍕

Went to a gig, got hungry, had a surprisingly very good pizza from an unpromising looking kitchen. Great value at a tenner.
