Reenergized at Newtopia Cyder, this Thursday market pairs small farms with local artisans, live music, and an easygoing suburban crowd. Confirmed active by KPBS and City event listings; it’s a low-key, neighborly stop.

Bev and Mike run a great show, as a vendor would follow them to any event, and as a patron you can count on plenty of options for good, gifts and stuffs!

Great food selections, coffee, cider, and others. I really enjoyed Hunter of hendrix, Newtopia cider, and all the great selection of food!! We go almost every Thursday night. My dog loves the dog treats and clothes that they have there. The sushi is delicious! And the pastrami is amazing!! They also have a new Italian food place that has great food!!

Update: Live pet portrait at LULU.LIVE ART!! I’m a vendor of new Scripps Ranch Farmer’s Market now! Welcome to check out my booth. I make San Diego inspired artworks, prints, greeting cards, coffee mugs, tote bags and stickers…. And of course there’re a lot of other goodies that you can check out in this great market. Previous: Finally we got a Farmers Market at Scripps Ranch after the old one was closed. My husband and I have been to the Poway one for a while, but we still love there's a nice Farmers Market at our own neighborhood. And the new scripps Farmers Market didn't disappoint us at all. It was awesome, with many great food vendors, produces, meats, seafoods, and art & accessories. We enjoyed to check everything out. Right at the opening night, we got a Ukoy and some fresh salmons back. So yummy! The even better thing is the Newtopia Cyder is next door. Having a seat and enjoy the ciders and foods. So great!

Small, decent collection of food stalls but not much else. Poway Farmers market is much larger and better

I hope that it expands a bit more but it serves its purpose at present. I came down to try Hob Coffee but I guess I came the day they weren't here. Nice alternative for lunch in the area.

A good chance to visit different vendors and sample some tasty food. The "Ramona" Succulent stand is must see and has many many choices, with knowledgeable and friendly vendor. If you like plants and flowers dont miss this gem.

Almost always good of it wasn't for the rude shoppers. Great return vendors. We go for the bread guy mostly. But there's usually great salsa and Greek salads!

Yelp
I really love this little farmers market! All of the small businesses/ vendors are just so sweet. They really are the best at what they do whether it's food, crafts or goods. My favorite vendor here is Taste of Lao Paradise. The auntie here makes the best papaya salad. It's fresh, tangy, spicy, and sweet. It's a must with their sticky rice and lao sausage. I also love their bbq beef sticks. 10/10 The Salvadoran stand has amazing hand made pupusas! The meat, melty cheese and pickled veggies is pure love. Their empanadas are really good too. 10/10 Som Sauce! They sell this mango habanero hot sauce and it's so good! It's sweet, spicy and is very umami. It's basically a Cambodian fish sauce and it's freggin good. It goes well with steak, sashimi, tacos, basically everything. 10/10 My Labubu stand people. They have the cutest booth with Labubu clothes, hats, shoes, donny angels and just so many cute toys! 10/10

Yelp
Decided to take the trek and check out this Thursday farmers market off of Carroll Canyon road anchored by Newtopia Cyder. It's a little neighborhood farmers market with a few produce vendors and a lot of food vendors. Had some chicken adobo and lumpia from Kalyefornia as well as an unagi roll from Sawa. They also have tables set up so you can sit down and eat whatever food you buy. Plenty of parking at the Cabrillo Credit Union lot next door.

Yelp
Very small farmers market behind a brewery. It's not worth going out of your way to visit, but if you're in the area it's a fun, quick activity. The vendors here are super friendly!

Yelp
The motto for the neighborhood of Scripps Ranch is "Country Living." And I think the intention behind that is "sure, we're suburbia, but we're a tight-knit community with rural values. What it actually means is "a country with very few choices, especially when it comes to shopping so I hope you like VONS because that's it and if you don't like it, move." Seriously. We have two grocery stores and they are both VONS. Thankfully, once a week, we get outside help. Like rescuers of old, vendors descend upon the business park and save us from the food hegemony. I get the sense I sound dramatic. Sorry, it's really boring here in the burbs. What's not boring is having a convenient place to try a new outlets for food every week. There's a cheese guy at the farmer's market who has what I very much consider to be the best supply in San Diego. There's a pizza guy who makes a very good wood-fired pie. And sometime it's a Pan Dulce purveyor that's making our lives sweet. Is this a huge farmer's market with hundreds of stalls overflowing with the latest crops? No. And I'm glad for it. It's got a good variety, with some variation each week, It can be visited in a short amount of time and there's plenty of street parking. Did I mention the cheese yet? Seriously. Its outstanding.

Yelp
It's been awhile so I wanted to provide a quick update if my favorite vendors here as of Feb 2023! FOOD: TAMALES! Loveeee the tamale vendor! I'm kicking myself for not taking a pic of the name of the vendor. The female owner is so sweet & describes every ingredient in the tamale to you in detail. I was sold! Got the pork & chicken. OMG. They are the best tamales I've ever tasted! Flavorful, fresh ingredients, & tender meat. The green salsa she has is also amazing. Has a great taste & kick to it. Doesn't compare to fast food/restaurant green salsas which are flavorless. CHORIZO! Ulises Sanchez sells homemade chorizo sausages & chorizo for you to cook at home. Yum! Great flavor & glad he gave me a sample to try. Excited to cook it up this weekend. DESSERTS: CHATEAU JARDIN I'm not a big fan of jams or fudge, but I do love myself some shortbread cookies! Again, sold once I tried a sample. Doesn't compare to storebought shortbread cookies at all. Come support local businesses y'all!

Yelp
This is a generous 3. It's really a 2.5. Not many vendors and quite boring. Not worth the drive to get here

Yelp
This farmers market is small but offers a great variety. We were greeted by the coordinator who explained to us that this is more of a family festival now since most of the grocery vendors don't come anymore since they don't get too much business. There were only 2 yesterday and I bought oranges ($10/10 lbs.) from one and strawberries ($5/small basket) from another to support these local farmers. In addition, there were a lot of food stalls that fueled a great delicious scent as you roam around the market. For food, we bought a mango habanero salsa from South Bay Salsas for $6 a tub, mochi donuts from Mochinatics for $3 each, and 2 small turon Nutella from Luna Lunpia for $5.75. Overall we spend a good amount of money here and had a great time. Everyone was friendly, there was a fair amount of shade, tables and chairs were provided for eating, and they had a great musician performing on his guitar. Street parking was plenty, just a short walk away. Definitely worth a visit on a nice Thursday to grab some good bites and support local businesses! I got a great sense of community here and didn't feel overwhelmed by the crowd. Tips: -Get a stamp card from the info booth for $5 off at any vendor after 10 visits to the market. -All vendors accepted credit cards for free or a small fee.

Yelp
We came here to try the Juanbachi Asian fusion. I got the pork belly and pork chop my wife tried the pork belly with Hawaiian bbq. Both were outstanding. The price is reasonable. I can eat this once a week.

Yelp
What a wonderful local farmers market. A bit on the smaller side and heavier on the food vendors. All the vendors were super friendly and generous with their items. There are coffee, bbq, Japanese, Indian, french bakery, minced pies, Chinese bau, oils, pasta, shrooms (NOT THAT KIND!!) and paninis to name a few. Some crafts, jewelry, trinkets and knick-knacks. Of course meats, fruits and veggies. The treat is also to bring your freshly made food and dine in the Newtopia Cider restaurant or outside on their red chairs outside on the grass. Parking seems to be where you can find it on the streets or where the yellow signs point you to. I understand these vendors are regulars so you can depend on finding the item/dish you will be craving next week!

Yelp
We decided to venture out to the new SCFM that has just started a few weeks ago. Located at Cydertopia's parking lot, there were a bunch of vendors, a live band, and a nice grassy seating area. Free and ample parking around the area. We found parking in the next lot in front of the bank. Be mindful of signage however since some if the businesses do not allow for parking or there are time restrictions. We opted not to bring the kids' wagon to hull them around but in hindsight we should have. With kids in tow and buying stuff, it was challenging to carry stuff and toddlers! I was surprised with the amount of vendors that had booths. Lots of homemade items, food vendors, small businesses, and farm fruits and veggies. I bought some pastries from the French Gourmet booth (chocolate croissant, cheese danish, and almond and chocolate croissant). They were all very delicious after putting them in the toaster oven for a couple minutes. We also bought a quarter flat of strawberries from a vendor for $18. There were 2 farm stand vendors selling strawberries side by side. The one on the right had bigger strawberries so we went with them. They were ripe and semi-sweet. We decided to grab a bite from Ukoy Mo, a Filipino booth that sold fish, crab, and shrimp balls as well as ukoy (Filipino fried shrimp and veggie fritter). Who doesn't like anything fried?! We opted for the crab and shrimp balls and 1 ukoy. Delicious! There was live music out front and red chairs in the grassy area. Some people brought their own chairs to hang out. Wish we had more time to stay but the kids were already getting cranky so we had to leave without getting any cider. Fun place to check out and looking forward to our next visit. The Market is open Thursdays from 3-7pm.

Yelp
I'm a vendor of Scripps Ranch Farmers Market! I do live pet portraits and sell my own artwork prints, postcards and greeting cards. Please come to stop by the market. So many local craft artists and food vendors. You will enjoy the experience at here.

Yelp
This is a hidden gem for people not in Scripps Ranch and areas close by. After living here from the day I was born (off and on) I'm so glad they finally have a farmers market! My only complaint is that there are only two "farm" stands and I don't think they're organic, but I definitely wouldn't compare the quality to 7-11 fruit, as someone else mentioned. Also, they don't take WIC or EBT. I bought cherries from one vendor and my son and his two cousins put their hands out to the vendor like it was Halloween, and he gave them all an extra kid sized handful of cherries, with a huge smile on his face. That's huge for me...knowing they're also there to add positivity to the community! The kids love dancing to the music, the coffee and the coffee shop it's set up next to is to die for! I waited too long to give a review, but I believe Andy helped me and he was SO friendly and helpful! And they use Darkhorse coffee!!! My favorite vendor is the South Bay Salsa one (back, right of the market). They also sell snow cones for the kids (and adults ). If you like good and spicy salsa, you have to try their mango habanero and the spiciest one. They're the reason I go. Just don't take it all before I can get there! I stopped at the jewelry vendors and was going to buy a necklace but something seems to get in the way, like my sons impatience as I take forever to pick something, lol. But they have really cute and unique pieces! I want to keep this to myself, but also want people to know how wonderful it is.

Yelp
This farmers market is back up and running. Seems to be around 20+ venders. Some fruit & veggie venders, lots of food spots, some jewelry & my favorite salsa company. It's getting a bit busier each week which is awesome. Its open on Thursday's from 4-8! I'm looking forward to coming here more often because you can never go wrong with fresh produce, some cider from newtopia & dinner from a local spot!

Yelp
This market is always fun to peruse. Every vendor is friendly, and there's always good food options! The DJ is usually throwing out 80s and 90s, but there's also lots of doggos to meet along the way!

Yelp
I am a huge fan of this famers market. They have a ton of different vendors (food, crafts, produce, experiences, etc.) There is a lot of parking around the farmers market so no need to worry! It is located right next to Newtopia and very close to JuneShine if you want to get a drink afterwards. Some of my favorite vendors are the arepa stand, the hummus stand, and one man and woman makes bandanas and treats for dogs. I love this farmers market and will keep coming!

Yelp
It's a really good market but not many choices for fruits and vegetables. The booths are mainly people selling prepared food and trinkets. If you are looking for more fruits and vegetables the Poway Farmers market on Saturday is awesome.

Gaurav K.

Yelp
'Farmers' market? There were 2 farmer booths at this market and none of which were organic or local. I bet 7/11 has more produce. Rest of the booths were overpriced food stalls, 'artists' selling beads etc. Strictly avoid if you are looking for a farmers market.

Devyn M.

Yelp
My absolute favorite place! I could not be more excited about the new & improved market! There are so many amazing & unique vendors to check out & it's located at Newtopia so not only do you get to shop, but you can stop & enjoy a cyder as well! I'm obsessed!!

Diana R.

Yelp
Easy parking and nicely centered around the cider brewery, this market is a decent size for the suburbs. It's about 90% prepared food and goods vendors, with the farmers and produce tucked at the very end of the market. I wasn't able to find any organic certifications from the few farms present the day I went.
